RAVER
My old mate, sorry to put you on the spot but who will you be supporting come Sunday. As you Cleary are a closet arsenal fan .
Good luck tomorrow night, or it will be back to spursday and the Europa.
Wembley is a great place to play,
You should try it in a cup final.

I've been to Wembley many of times welsh and seen spurs lift 3 fa cups and 2 league cups lol. I'm going to the emirates on Sunday and I will be there with the proper old Tottenham boys taking the mick out of your manor as we do every year, as you lot will be hiding away in your greasy spoons and pubs scared stiff lol.

Raver the stalker. There is no way you can have been to see the Toot at Wembley in a final more than once as you can only be about 12 years of age judging from the drivel you spout. An adult simply wouldn't bother making comments on their mighty rivals site, unless of course you are a closet Gooner.

Some poor defending for the goals - poor left hand side to the defensive unit. A few silly yellow cards but overall, I thought it was a comfortable game and we should have won more comfortably

On a positive note - how cool was Ozil? What a goal - cheeky chip and great composure. Henry would have been proud of that one.

What does he need to do for club and country to be classified as worldclass by pundits? Such a great player to watch.
He put a shift in tonight. Made himself available. Got an assist. Keeps the engine ticking and scored the winner.
Sanchez looked sharp again.

Concerned about our fullbacks on the left against Spurs. The leftsided winger best offer protection and attacking threat.

{Ed002's Note - Typically make a world-23 if you were picking one. So, be one of the best two or three in his position.}

01 Nov 2016 22:54:57
I thought more of Bergkamp watching Ozil's goal.

The way I look at it ludo still had something to fight for, if they beat us they stood a chance of going through so why not go for it, 2 years ago and even last season at times we would of collapsed and lost about 4-0 but instead we went on to win, xhaka's goal was the defining moment imo if they had scored it I think we'd of lost that.

Tough 3 games coming up but I'm confident that we will win them all.

Let not forget Mesut's goal, he'd never of been in that position last season and the previous 2 which shows how much he's upped his game, best goal I've seen this season so far.

Ed sums it up nicley, what it takes to be world class. So, basically, a player who would make the team at almost all the best clubs - bar a scenario where another world class player is already in their position.

On that basis, Ozil is world class as he got into the Madrid team and the fans still worship him and want him back.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Oezil was in the Real Madrid team a while back but was forced out as they did not see him as good enough.}

02 Nov 2016 11:46:44
I did say the fans though ed, they still love him now, aswell as the players. Fiorentino Perez seems to force a lot of people out - and in, and not everyone agrees with his decisions be it managers or fans or fellow teammates.

Many fans and Cristiano thought he was good enough and so do I with my rose-tinted glasses. I used to think his consistency was the only question mark, not his ability.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are talking in the past tense - which is fine. As you know, football fans are not the brightest of course.}

02 Nov 2016 17:33:17
Haha I've missed you Ed :) They say some people just need to get some to cheer up.

I'm talking about the past, not sure where I'm talking in the past tense though, except for saying Cristiano THOUGHT he was good enough - are you suggesting he no longer thinks that?

Not sure what's going on Mr. Pedantic, either way bottom line I think Ozil is good, if you don't that's fine and please don't stop contributing to this site we all enjoy your posts!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what Ronaldo thinks about him, or whether he thinks about him at all. What I think everyone will agree is that if you were to put together a "world class" squad that Oezil would not be part of it.}

03 Nov 2016 10:30:21
Fair play ed it is a game of opinions and the term world class is so relative anyway. He's borderline for me, I was just trying to agree with your definition of world class didn't mean to rustle your feathers.

For the record, here's the Ronaldo quote I kept alluding to: “He was the player who best knew my moves in front of goal. I'm angry about Özil leaving. ”.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That doesn't make him world class though.}

Good win, through to the knock out stage and an awesome winner from Ozil, with two defenders ending up on the floor!

Raver the stalker, now you are embarrassing yourself. Quite what a teenage Toot fan is doing on an Arsenal site is beyond me. Surely you realise that having lived in Arsenal's shadow since the early 1980's you cannot win any argument with Arsenal fans. I can only assume you are a closet Gooner. If I were you I would keep very quiet until you have built your stadium, won the League and FA Cup as many times as Arsenal have. I don't recall the Toot finishing above Arsenal during Arsene Wengers time at the club and that is 20 years! Even last season which was one of the Toots most successful for years. Arsenal faired better than them in every competition, putting the Toot out of the League Cup at your place. This season we have already gone further in the League Cup and have qualified for the last 16 of the CL after only 4 matches.

What you should have said was that it's not hard putting professional players on the floor as they are all made of treacle now and go down at the slightest touch. It's the big pub players that are hard to get down!

R. G. that is why your club will never lift the European cup, struggling to beat the mighty ludogrets tonight. I'm off to Wembley tomorrow spurs sold out the stadium again,

Raver the stalker, the mighty Arsenal are through to the last 16 with an awesome goal from Ozil. let's see if the Toot can get through to the last 16 after 4 matches! Ooops it's not mathematically possible! Remind me of the result last time you played in the CL at Wembley. That's why the Toot will never win the CL.

Raver is off to that stadium that he always convienantly forgets about when he bangs on about the new spurs stadium been the biggest in London. That's why we all love raver he says whatever just pops into his head #tourettesspuds.

We are top of the physio injury list! Things don't change! Fortunately we have a full squad this season.

Interesting news that Jenkinson will probably play tonight as Bellerin hasn't travelled. I am pleased with this as Bellerin has played many matches and he needs to be rested to avoid the chance of a serious fatigued related injury.
On Sunday we may be able to call on several players with 'fresh legs'; Cech, Bellerin, Monreal, Cazorla, Ramsey, Walcott, Giroud, etc. The Toot have one day less to recover, but have the benefit of playing at home tomorrow and not having to travel.

It will be interesting to see if the Toot play Kane and Alderwierald midweek and or against us on Sunday, bearing in mind that if they play then they will be selected for international duty, which I imagine the Toot would prefer to avoid. I have a feeling Kane may play some part tomorrow and face us on Sunday, with Alderweirald only possibly playing on Sunday. Then the pair may withdraw from International duty with small 'injuries' forcing them out, only to be back for the next league match.

I hope that happens R. G. as alderwereld is the Best centre half in England and Harry Kane always scores against Arsenal.

I'm looking forward to tonight's match. Walcott is fit, but is it worth risking him, when Ox is starting to play well.
The back four picks itself with Gibbs stepping in at LB for the injured Monreal.
It will be interesting to see if Xhaka is used as he is banned domestically and can't play on Sunday. My guess is that Wenger will pair Coqulelin with him, unless Cazorla will be fit for the weekend, if so then he may play Elneny. The attacking midfield players could be Ox, Ozil and Iwobi, with Sanchez up front. Although, I would be tempted to play Giroud up front, with the three attacking midfield players being Sanchez, Ozil and Iwobi. Thoughts fellow Gooners?

We are in a very good position and in with a great chance of winning this group so leave Olly on the bench and go for as close as possible to our best 11, let's not make the same mistake as we did last season in Zargreb is my opinion.
