sanchez ospina and gabriel will miss the fa cup final because of fifa regulations its said tht they will be summoned for thier respective copa america duty on 29th may. Ed is it true?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed039's Note - It seems that has been reported, however if this is correct I would imagine that the clubs and repective associations would come to an amicable agreement to release the players later than the 29th, I wouldnt be too worried about it)

They will play

Hello Ed039s where did you pop up from? Are you the new Ed on the block and what have you done with Ed025?
If your holding him to Ransom I wouldn't set it to high as he will eat and drink you out of house and home and you'll be paying us to take him back :-)

{Ed025's Note - im still here G62, and plan to be around for a long time, except this week as im off to the south of france for a few days to recharge the old batteries mate..

Have a great time Ed mate and enjoy those snail Kebabs, oh and if you bring us back a very top keeper as a prezie we will love you even more than we already do.

imagine if barca make the champions league final on the 6th of june, with the likes of neymar, messi, masch

Mourinho includes Mesut Ozil in his best ever 11 and let's face it over the years he's worked with more players than Diarby Gooner can fit in his squad over a season :-)

I imagine Derby gooner often thinks to himself why is it none of my mates allow me near their wives or girlfriends.

He's always coveting things that belong to others.

I've got a feeling before the end of the season he will actually post something positive about his own team or players.

Well maybe just that the pitch at the Emirates looks like a carpet.

I'm amazed by that. I'd have a peak lampard over him all day long. Ronaldo robben on the wings.

20 Apr 2015 22:20:59
The only one I find. Wesley and lampard are in with maka. Midfield 3

Red dog I'm positive about Sanchez . Gnabry. Ox. Belleri . Kos etc. See previous posts. I'm just not getting carried away mate. Feet on the ground time

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Apr 2015 06:02:43
Zero to do with feet on the ground mate, we all have them there, to many false dawns not to.

The only difference this time around is wins again against the likes of City and United plus a DM who I see doesn't get a mention.

I'm sure they know what you're like anyway, so they'll be safe. ;-)

I'm sure your both right lads but I must admit I've been on tippy toes lately and should we win Sunday I'll need some good gravitation boots to stop lift off

United fan here

What do you think about your chances against Chelsea this weekend.

I expect Chelsea to setup in a similar way as they setup against United. You will have 65-70% possession but getting a goal will be difficult. Chelsea will rely on Hazard to run at your defenders and nick a goal.

Mourinho is a master tactition and its ods on he will set up as you say but we can't plan totally for that or well get picked off at will if he plays it differently, I think set ourselves up as we did at city and if they sit back just knock the ball about patiently knowing Mesut and Sanchez will create chances for others at some stage during the game, if its a bore fest who cares if we nick a winner.

Wierd question really, I am backing us to draw or beat them, i do not see us loosing.

I think that Mourinho would have accepted 2 points from these two games so I genuinely don't believe he will mind if he loses to us, he won't want to lose to Wenger, but he'll accept it to win the league.

Van Gaal will have known it was exactly what he was intending to do as will Wenger, we have a good chance of winning but that's all it will amount to, a win.

He knows how to play out the last few games to get over the line.

As you may have seen from Mou's press conferences he is just counting down the points...

Mou would be more than happy with a draw. Sadly, a scoreless draw is probably the most likely result. Chelsea would then need at most 6, but likely 5 points to clinch the title and that is assuming that Arsenal win their remaining games including at OT.

So tactically, Mou will do what Mou does best and set up for a 0-0 draw and force Arsenal to attack; hoping to hit Arsenal on the counter or from a set piece. Chelsea will be terrible to watch, but their tactics will be effective (btw I do not think there is anything wrong with Chelsea playing that way, it is an away game and Arsenal need the win more. It is up to Arsenal to force the game and attempt to score. Sad as it may be to see all that talent on Mou's team be used to set up for a 0-0).

To win, Arsenal will need to be disciplined and not commit too many men forward and Arsenal will need to take their opportunity when it falls to them. The game is a really big test for Coq, Kos, Mert, Ospina, Bellerin, and Monreal.

If Arsenal score first, Mou may actually have to let all that offensive talent he has on the team play football, but if Chelsea score first expect them to simply sit back and soak up pressure for the rest of the game and hope to maintain their lead or seal the game on the counter or another set piece.

Even if Arsenal win though, Chelsea are still getting this title barring an epic collapse (i.e. winning only 2 of their remaining fixtures while losing 2 and drawing 1). It is never going to happen at best a win keeps us on our good run and sets us up nicely for next year.

I think Szczesney is toast come the summer so we will obviously need to get a keeper in either as first choice or back up.
For me Cech is the obvious target as I think there's a realistic chance of getting him plus he's still a very top draw keeper despite a season on the sidelines, but failing him I think stick with Ospina and get in new number 2.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

im not entirely sure but i read that cech is interested in a move abroad. Milan, PSG and Madrid more likely than arsenal at the moment.

I personally would go for Begovic...Ok so he has not had his best season so far...but he is at a good age for a GK, has bags of prem experience, and is a top keeper. Would probably cost more than Cech...but then again if Chelsea won't sell him to a rival then that's a non starter anyway...

Fantastic result for us over the weekend, another FA Cup Final, shame United couldn't do us a solid and get a draw but hey ho that's life.

Being the eternal optimist there is still a 1-2% chance we could win the league IF we win this weekend, they no longer have a game in hand over us so if we get 3 points this weekend then that leaves 7 points gap, with pressure on their shoulders they could buckle, United did it when City won their first title so who knows!

What would we do without Sanchez and Le Coq!? I know you can say 'well if arteta didn't get injured then he wouldn't of got him back' but it's moo point, he's back and my word has he made a difference! No way does he deserve to be replaced.

I'm loving how much strength we have in depth, come last season wilshere would be STRAIGHT back in the team but he's been on the bench these last few games, same with Walcott, it's great that we have those guys on the bench but they want too play they've got to fight for it!

It's a great time for us gooners!

Sunday is the real test of how far we've come, obviously a defeat would be pretty depressing and even a draw would be a little disappointing all be it acceptable at a push against the champions elect but for Arsene to beat Mourinho! Now that would be different and would not only send us all into total delirious uncontrollable excitement not known for some time but would really propel our confidence into a whole new dimension.

Can't see a Chelsea win, I think Chelsea beating United was a good result for us, leaves us more chance getting 2nd, 1st was never going to happen. I'll take a draw against Chelsea and we can win all our other games, maybe a draw against UTD, which again, I'd take.

Agree1 Disagree1

20 Apr 2015 13:08:38
Totally agree akie accept for the draw Sunday bit, utd losing was brilliant because as you say 1st was never really going to happen.
But beating them on Sunday would be oh so special and means if we also beat Hull and Swansea we go to old traford with a 4 point lead over utd absolute minimum :-) then beat them again leaving them hanging on to 4th by their teeth and city dependent us 2nd.
Sounds good doesn't it :-)

Ed and fellow gooners,
what do you think will happen to Wellington Silva? Does he have a future in Emirates or will move somewhere else?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I think it is a tough decision yet to be made. Arsenal have a couple of other young forwards but will probably not want to hang on to them all. May just be a wait and see.}

20 Apr 2015 08:06:19
he ain't lived upto the hype. bang average

{Ed002's Note - If Wellington Silva were made available, Seville, Braga and Malaga would be interested.}

the fact that seville, braga and malaga are interested shows that he is not quite ready to play for Arsenal yet. i think he will be sold. personal opinion
