Boys, ignore Spursman he wants everyone to react to his posts!

On a positive note, is anyone still buzzing we got Sanchez?! The thought of Theo and Alexis attacking is mouth watering!

Mdog

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah I know mate but I kind of feel sorry for him as it turns out we're his heroes on this page and the only people who take any notice of him.
Be kind to Spursman everyone, think of him as someone who desperately wants to be a gooner but doesn't know how to ask, silly sausage

Agree0 Disagree0

Spurman has obviously escaped from a secure unit ( white hart lane ) he will be caught and escorted back ready for the new season of over whelming success like they always have.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2014 12:17:48
A lot of truth to that G62. I kind of read his posts in the voice of a pre teen, has that vibe about it. Kill him with kindness. Seems like a kid desperate for attention, poor fella.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank you to all the people on here who sent me their congrats.

It mean's a lot to me and I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Woohoo, I just posted without adding a joke or a comical remark.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You deserve it mate, jokes apart your a top bloke and very well respected by all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Congrats Dags on your new grand-daughter, delighted for you all. Hopefully she won't have any teething problems like our old pal Luis lmao.
I'm great mate, I had a super summer so wasn't posting much but have been checking in regularly.
Plenty of footy now to look forward to in pre-season and new season just round the corner. Happy enough with transfer business so far (well apart form that tw@t Sanchez wanting to live in London. A little birdy told me he only did it to get a display beside Becks in Madame Tussauds lol), and a couple more look like being tied up this week too. Can't wait for season to start now and getting the banter going again. Hope Jen, Golds, Gunner, Flybo n all the gang are well. The jokes haven't improved but ya got to admire your persistence lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Congratulations mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey man congratulations I only just read the news. Hope she grows up big and strong and Arsenal red =]

Congrats Dags! Don't post much but read you every day. I hear Loic's a trending name these days

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That's me just seen your news DG, congratulations mate.}

Grats mate. Wish you all the best

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2014 12:22:01
Well, I feel a joke is in order.

A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The bus driver says: "That's the ugliest baby that I've ever seen. Ugh!"

The woman goes to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her: "The driver just insulted me!"

The man says: "You go right up there and tell him off -  don't worry, I'll hold your monkey for you.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - come back dags...all is forgiven..

20 Jul 2014 21:16:54
Congratulations Dags, good news is a blessing,
but supporting the Arsenal, you've got to be messing.
buy her the shirt, and yes make it red,
just don't make her lie, in her fourth placed bed.
champions league, qualification at best,
is not much incentive, and hardly a test.
for your new little angel, your new liverbird?
should support liverpool, like her grandad. i, ve heard!

Kind regards

YNWA.

Hehe Sizemick,

Jokes are my thing so I'm not even going to attempt to "out-rhyme" you.

You Sir, are the master of that

Loved it. Respect.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 19:52:22
I pray to god we don't sign Salmon Kalou.

P.S Dags if you don't fight tooth and nail for the little one to be named "Remy Dagenham" then I will have lost all respect for you mate. All of it

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 21:30:18
Rabbit,

Even as I am typing this I am pulling out my Son's teeth one by one.

He is slowly coming round to the idea that Remy is a good name for a girl, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 19:50:01
Spursman good news, your promotion record if far superior to ours mate, please don't thank me its my pleasure to help you remember your greatest under achievements.
In 1978 you finished 3rd in the second division behind?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 21:46:00
I honestly don't know.
Too young to remember, not even sure we were in 2nd division 78/79 season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd like to add that in the time Wenger has been in charge spurs have won 2 trophies. 1 of which it took a gooner to lead them too it.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 19:44:47
Good effort Dags.another Gooner into the world

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 21:30:43
Thank's Banbury mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 19:15:29
Spursman,

I believe Spurs have recently obtained planning permission for a new stadium so let's see how you perform over the next 10 years while you're constructing it and paying it off. I suspect our last 10 years will prove to be more successful than your next 10. I reckon you might even flirt with relegation but let's see how things pan out.

Dags, many congratulations on the news. This is my first post but there must be a lot of people like me who observe from a galaxy far, far away and find you and the crazy gang to be quality entertainment. Spursman is f*cking hilarious, though.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Welcome Barney (hope you don't mind the name), got a feeling you'll fit in mate, first post and already on Spursman' back lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 21:47:14
Could we do any worse than boring boring Arsenal?
I certainly hope not.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 22:33:22
Thanks Barney.

welcome to the crazy shack.

keep posting mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 19:08:30
Spursman I see you've only ever bothered posting once on your own page way back in January?
Have you become disillusioned by life on there and decided come over to join us where the action is and fun is only a post away?
I don't blame you my friend, what's it they say if you can't beat them?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 21:49:59
Not at all my friend.
I will be honest, I have followed you lot on here for ages.
You, Dags, Jenny,Goldboy, Greeny, Saint, and yes you are all my heroes.
And if you believe that than you are more ridiculous than your team.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do believe it mate and feel you should just embrace you inner gooner and need for happiness, both are absolutely natural.
Let's say it together, OOH TO BE

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 18:39:46
Jokes aside, congrats to Dag's for becoming a Grandad.
I think it will be the only thing you will be celebrating this season.
But seriously, keep up the jokes, you have a reputation for comedy Dags, but however funny you are, your team are more of a laugh.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not as comical as you

I can understand a fan of a team who finishes above us coming on here to mock, but not one from a team who suffer from mid table mediocrity .

What a deluded world you spurs come from

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 21:33:49
Spursman,

Slowly I am beginning to warm to you.

But only because this week is "Be nice to those less fortunate than you".

As a Spud, my god, you are less fortunate than most people on the planet.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 21:52:06
Mid table?
we normally finish one or 2 positions behind you and we don't have the world class players you have.
At least that's what you lot all think.
World class?
deluded.

Agree0 Disagree0

Eh you had bale for a while?

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 18:14:45
Don't you just love the transfer window?

We're out of the running for Khedira, but he will be announced tomorrow.

Wenger doesn't want Balotelli, but he is close to finalizing a move.

Jenkinson will play 2nd fiddle to Debuchy, but we're talking to Manquillo and Peruzzi.

I don't know who or what to believe. All I know is that summer just wouldn't be the same without it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 15:57:09
Express, Mirror, Daily Cannon and players agent all saying Arsenal looking to sign Catania right back Gino Peruzzi. Have you heard any information about this Edds?

Appreciate your reply

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed027's Note - No

Now why would we sign another right back?

That just doesn't make any sense

Agree0 Disagree0

Its simple really. Jenkinson is not good enough. I like Bellerin but maybe not 2nd choice just yet

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 11:52:54
Any of the eds know what the plan is for Joel Campbell for this season?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed027's Note - decision will be made once he returns for pre season, another loan is looking like, maybe to PL side

20 Jul 2014 17:47:50
Caught Offside are reporting that Smailholm Khedira will be unveiled tomorrow & also that Arsenal have agreed a deal worth £15.8 with A Milan for Balotelli.

Only time will tell how accurate this is I guess but personally I'd be happy with that

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Would be very shocked that we agreed a deal and agreed personal terms without it becoming public.

Hope you're right though!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 18:21:31
Caught Offside is about as reliable as a 25 year old Honda Civic.

(Apologies to anybody who drives, or should I say pushes, a 25 year old Honda Civic).

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 18:35:19
Hate to be the bearer of bad news mate, but C.O.S is the biggest bunch of rubbish out there.

If they told you the sky was up, you should double check.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 18:38:53
Sadly caught offside are dreadful with transfer knowledge.

Agree0 Disagree0

As unreliable a source as it is I can only wish its true

Agree0 Disagree0

Caught Offside is as bad as jokes from Dags

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 21:36:02
Bambam,

You love my jokes mate.

I bet you write them all down, tell them to your workmates and take the credit.

I reckon you owe me a beer mate, lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey! I drive a 25 year old Honda Civic (23 actually). Still perform like a spud though. Start her up and she's fine. try driving and she wobbles all over the place. I just leave her where she breaks down.Haha

Anyhoo. shout out to Grandpa Dags on the brand spanking new Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 17:20:38
If anyone wants a laugh, the metro are slating caught offside for their lack of credibility. Two horrendous media outlets going at each other as if anyone takes them seriously anyway

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm counting on Caught offside responding to it Saint, it'll be great fun.
I genuinely wouldn't trust either of them to tell me the name of their publications.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 22:35:48
Its like Reggie Kray calling Ronnie Kray a villain.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 16:06:56
To Gunner62, Sagalout, Loonygoon and Akie.

Granted, you have won the league more, but despite the fact you think you are far superior to us (deluded or what), we have won plenty.

We have won facup 8 times, league cup 4 times, cup winners cup and the uefa cup twice.
Like I said. Deluded.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ah so history makes you a big club?

So PSG are younger than Bergkamp, does that make them a small club?

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 18:41:22
Genuine question for you spursman. What have you seen spurs achieve in your lifetime? I'm 25 and would happy share what I've seen my beloved gunners do

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 18:57:42
Spurtman,

I don't know if you're aware but Wolves, Huddersfield Town and Blackburn Rovers have all won 3 league titles, in fact Sunderland have won 6 and Aston Villa 7.

Perhaps you could pop onto their respective pages and tell them how good Spurs, with your two titles, are. They may call you deluded but you'll be able to suck it up.

Better still Preston North End, Portsmouth and Burnley are on two titles each so maybe you could brag to them that you're going to overtake them sometime over the next millennium.

Chin up though littlen, An-Dross Cowshed is back from injury and will be running at defences wildly thrashing shots into the back of the stands some time soon.

20 Jul 2014 21:38:07

Ed's,

I hope you don't mind me posting this, its not football related.

As from half an hour ago I have just become a Grandad, for the first time.

Beautiful little baby girl. Proud is an understatement.

Trying to get them to call her Alexis (as in Sanchez), but that suggestion is about as popular as Spursman's comments).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Good for you man. Our first granddaughter will of course be called China Cat Sunflower. For some reason neither of my daughters are keen on having children right now.}

20 Jul 2014 16:50:16
Congrats mate! Another gooner in the world I hope :)

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 16:53:22
Congrats, it's true what they say about where there is death there is life, you get you're first Grand daughter while Spursman has slowly been dying on his arse for the last 24hrs

Agree0 Disagree0

Congratulations DG but if she is going to be named after a player it has to be the great man himself Denis your argument could be that it can always be shortened to D

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 17:01:01
Congratulations Dags enjoy every moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

My bird's reluctant to have a little mesut running around the house. going to try Wojchec, Per and Gedion. will let you know how it goes in 9 months ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Congratulations Grandad Dags mate, and try to resist suggesting the name Remy for as long as you can :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Congratulations and all the best to you and your family. =)

Agree0 Disagree0

Congrats Dags :)
But try to avoid telling any jokes near the little one you don't want to start it crying

20 Jul 2014 17:35:08
Hey great news, congrats Dags and Alexis sounds perfect to me :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Congrats, captain comedy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Congrats dags

Surprised you not tried to convince them to call her REMY!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 18:36:46
1404 now that was funny! :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 18:41:40
Congrats dags!

I'm not a parent myself, but I was told the best part of being a grandparent is you can do all the fun stuff and you get to give them back at the end of the day!

I do however insist that it's you duty to ensure nobody tries to convert that child into anything other than a gunner!

All the best mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Congrats Dags

Great news mate, your summer is just getting better and better.

Shame about Remy tho!

Agree0 Disagree0

Congrats its great being a grandad, at the end of the day you get to hand them back and pick them up again when you like. A lot easier than your own.

Agree0 Disagree0

Congratulations Dags. I think we should have a poll to name her! What do you think eds?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Edwina after Ed007 I am thinking. Or Edna after Ed025. Edith after Ed003 is another one.}

Congrats Dags it's the best feeling in the world being a granddad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done Dags!

Agree0 Disagree0

Top news for the gunner family, she is going to have a very entertaining gramps!

Agree0 Disagree0

Congrats Dags - hope everyone doing well

Thanks a lot Ed and please give my love to China Cat Sunflower when she arrives.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 14:52:33
here's a 'neat' trick for spursman and his friends; if you look at the table upside down you'll always be above us.

You've got Tim sherwood and Harry rednapp. You can put one down and let the other manage spurs, does it really matter what you choose?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 15:52:28
Here's a neat little trick.
If you buy another 9 world class players, you will still be an average team.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 16:48:00
As opposed to buying nine players every summer thinking they were world class only to find out your coaching staff turn them into mediocre dross in one season.

That's a better trick.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 16:51:45
Shouldn't you be celebrating bales champions league victory spursboy?

Agree0 Disagree0

Com'on Spursman you can do better than this, hit us with ya best stuff mate.
You know the non repetitive stuff

Agree0 Disagree0

So we are an average team and you still manage to finish below us. Year after year. Then what does it tell us?

You just made yourself look dumber than you already are.

Agree0 Disagree0

Here's another tip, when you inevitably get knocked out of Europe in the first round, quickly switch to itv+1 and you'll still be in it!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 18:44:16
But at least when we sell our best players we invest the money back in the team.

Arsenal sell their players and pocket the money, no team investment and please don't tell me it went on the Emirates Stadium, you already had £150m put aside for that.
You are a team that rips off its own fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2014 02:20:14
150mil? For Ashburton Grove na mate maybe for your shed down the road but think more like 400mil + and you are closer to it

Agree0 Disagree0

Third season in a row that we've spent 45mil on players, sit down mate

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 13:45:12
Is it true that we've had a €30m bid rejected for William carvalho?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 14:13:28
Here's a quick question for you guys,

I know arsenal are linked with most players imaginable but what player(s) would you like to see at arsenal that haven't been linked or have barely been linked with us, barring the obvious messi, ronaldo etc

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Reus and javi Martinez!

.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good question, given that our midfield is pretty good and only a few arsenal fans would tamper with the defence, keeper was solid last season. The position I'd go for is ST and the player would be Aguero.

What do you mean it wouldn't happen?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Reus or el sheraaway for LW, gundogan or Martinez for CM, Aguero or jese for ST, hummels or varane for CB. Don't think I'm asking for too much lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Emile Heskey ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 15:54:21
Whoever you get you will still be an average team.

Agree0 Disagree0

David Villa

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 16:50:14
Not true, if we signed the whole spurs squad we'd be below average.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 13:01:04
Im a bit bored with the Khedira thing and strongly believe we have made a good enough and genuine attempt to get him, therefore if he doesn't come I don't blame our negotiators. He is not worth £200k a week and although he's great and i'd like him at Arsenal I think its best to leave that deal to simmer in the background and move on to a GK and a versatile defender for this week.

Further to this do any of the eds know anymore about Balotelli, rumours suggest we've made an offer and AC have agreed, plus he was pictured with his chick in New York infront of an Arsenal emblem that she later posted on social media 2days ago. How concrete is the accepted bid?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 12:04:22
Can anyone on this page remember spurs winning the League?
Not just the premier league but old first division, I'm 52 and I've read about it happening somewhere years a go but have no memory of it.
Does anyone remember a proper spurs title challenge?
I remember in the early 80s them being about 6th in April but having 5 games in hand which if they were to win them all would put them 3rd and only 4pts behind the leaders, the media at the time talked of them winning it a lot that year, I think they finished 5th in the end.
There has to be someone older than me on this page surely :-) who can remember spurs being title contenders?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Back in the far reaches of my mind I can just about remember it. I was just a kid the world was younger then though it was devoid of colour the world was monochrome. Men wore suits & ties even in bed! Park keepers were employed to walk around with sharp sticks to pick up litter.
Kids were seen & not heard, wearing school uniforms with caps & badges.
Strange large plate sized plastic discs called 78's were put on record players. Dansettes & 45's were the future. Luxembourg faded in & out of crystal sets & London Fog was normal. Even Motown was yet to hit our light programmes on the BBC oh happy days so long ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 13:01:04
Nah mate you are the oldest here.

we will start calling you Grandad G, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 13:01:23
Can anyone remember Spurs doing ANYTHING , ever?! Spursman is obviously bored watching his team attempt to recreate the Dutch style of play , except , being Spurs they have renamed it , Total Crap .

Agree0 Disagree0

He will understand what a fool he is making out of himself soon and return to the rock from which the spurs come from.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dags I can beat gunner 62 by a good few yrs 1st went to Highbury in 58! Strewth Just frightened meself with me age there, think I need a sit down.

Agree0 Disagree0

You cheeky little bliter young Dagenham you, I've a good mind to report you to your headmaster, if I could find me bus pass I would too young man

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 15:40:18
Hehe sorry G62.

I'm not far behind mate, at 47.

Agree0 Disagree0

DG already 47 and only just a grandad. Call yourself an Essex man! Surely at 47 you should be at the great great grandad stage!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 11:26:54
I still think we are missing a trick here, we should be fine in DM with Arteta and Flamini, We also have JW who wenger wants to play in that position and Coqulein who looks good enough for cover.

We should really concentrate on a striker first, I don't mind having Ballotelli in thier, earlier we would boast 4 strikers OG, Sonogoo, Bendtner, and Park. Now we have actually only 2, we another striker atleast. Last time we scored only 68 goals and wenger released that's where we lost the title, another striker please.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Arteta was rubbish last year. His legs are gone, his passing is awful and he can't tackle or track
(and don't bore me with stats, his passing figures are high because he only ever passes sideways 3 to someone three feet away)
Flamini is the same.

As for Wilshere this is a player who had maybe three or four good games all season. For the mist part he was terrible and predictable.

All three of these players were terrible when playing against the teams that finished above us.

Coquelin - The guy we sent on loan to frieberg who finished 14th out of 18 and could hardly get a game

Yes we need another midfielder. Desperately.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with Original, We need a new player besides Ramsey.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 10:24:03
Wow,

Who is this joker Spursman?

Mate, shouldn't you be called Spursboy or Spursdoughnut?

Banter is good buddy and you are more than welcome on this site, the more the merrier, but seriously, how any Spud can have a pop at a Gooner is beyond me.
(Although, to be fair, in an earlier post to Ed025 you did say you thought Dag's was funny, lol. only decent thing you have said mate)

Trust me fella, there are some serious people on here, who will shoot you down in flames, all in good banter though.

We beat you 3 times last season, got a feeling you are going to take another beating on here (in terms of banter), if you keep posting ridiculous comments.

But keep coming back Spursdoughnut, I enjoy your Primary School humour.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This is a team that list on their site the Ipswich Hospital Cup as an honour!
2nd to us in everything, leg wins cups doubles we were even in Nth London before em! (They didn't become part of London till '68)
Poor sad people so nearly gooners but so far away.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 10:22:43
hi eds just seen a rumour that milan are willing to sell ballotelli for £15.8m and wengers up for buying him, can you tell me if there is any truth in it please? enen with his issues, if wenger can help him fulfil his potential at that price its got to be worth a shot. think a forward line of sanchez ballotelli and walcott, that looks nice

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - UTSF.}

20 Jul 2014 10:16:21
SM1966,

You brag on about Arsene building the stadium and having to sacrifice winning things to do so, you moan that other supporters don't appreciate the work Wenger did and the sacrifices.
Total bull**** because the people who have moaned the most over the past 5 or 6 years have been Arsenal supporters.
What group of supporters have constantly chanted "Wenger out", even the people on here have said it a lot, even your beloved dags has said it, ok a long time ago but he still posted it on here.
And Flybo and Goldboy.
Your argument sucks mate.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jul 2014 10:29:20
Wow, decent memory Spursdoughnut.

Yes, you are correct, I did say it about a year ago, but it wasn't "Wenger out", it was more of a rant that Arsene should take a more director of football role, due to his lack of spending.

I'm big enough and ugly enough to admit I was wrong, and have said so on numerous post's.

Maybe you should now be big enough to run along now little fella.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spursman I totally understand your pain my friend and the inner turmoil you must be going through.
You sense we are once again on the rise after what has been for us a barren spell, but now after the fa cup and an end to the spending restrictions you fear yet another Arsenal surge of glory years heading your way and feel its now or never to have a pop, so very understandable
Let it all out my friend its totally totally understandable

Agree0 Disagree0

Its easy to say we have moaned but we have always continued to stick by Arsenal, and that's what counts, building a stadium is huge if your spurs brain can comprehend this, we house 60,000 capacity now, compared to what u or looserpool can host 40k? that's 20K more in terms of everything. Look at Manchester United they can hold 70K and hence such a big club.

Agree0 Disagree0

You wish you were an Arsenal fan don't you? You're on here more than I am!

Was at your White Hart Lane last season for the Arsenal game. The Arsenal fans out sang you the whole match.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 11:44:46
Coming from the team so fikkle with managers how many is it now? 16 managers in 18 years since Wenger took over take a bow son you point is null and void.

Well I can't speak for other posters but I think he's done a great job. Have there been times when I've thought maybe his time was over? of course. It would be ignorant not to question your manager if the team you love are struggling. I mean you can't expect fans to be happy when your losing 8-2 with a load of youth players on the pitch and 2 of your best players being sold. Oh and you should always look at your club first so if people moan about wenger or the players it's through frustration because they love arsenal and want to see the club be successful. So maybe you should worry about your own team rather than obsess about arsenal because you could be in trouble this year. I'll let the posters you mentioned defend their self because I'm sure they have valid responses.

Hi eds an all fussball.ch have said that in the next 48 hours arsenal will bid for Arturo Vidal, do any of the eds know if there Is any truth to this?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Supposedly arsenal have had a €30m (£23.7m) bid rejected for William carvalho as sporting want as close to the £37m release clause in his contract.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

E round be class at arsenal reminds me a lot Of Viera give arsene time to mould him and he could be the best centre mid in the world along with pogba in a few years

I know it's caught offside but can you imagine Balotelli out with Jack for a quiet evening in Soho??

Per the site - fee etc agreed but Milan waiting to see if a bidding war can commence

Not sure about this guy - €20m plus wages of £160K per week is a lot for a trouble maker who could disrupt the team spirit. We seem to be a great TEAM where the total is greater than the individual components. I fear this guy could ruin that

Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Unfortunately, I just read that article. If Arsenal don't want to make Khedira their top owner on £150K, why would the pay Balotelli £160K? Just a way for CO to get hits, I imagine.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would prefer to keep Podolski, Sanogo, Akpom and Campbell rather than getting Balotelli who know what will happen its a risk I don't really want the club to take tbf.

.If podolski leaves will we need to fill a position?

Im thinking sanchez will be on the wing but also up front as walcott returns. Just dreaming here, could we chase Rues? Or even Griezmann.

Or will Santi be on the left with walcott right and sanchez rotating as a forward?

you all boast about this and boast about that but you never win anything, one FA Cup in 10 years doesn't make you any better than us.You boast about your stadium? you had to sell all your players to buy it, wow brilliant.
that's like selling your Tv to buy a DVD player, pointless.
Sure, state of the art stadium, with a state of the art empty trophy room.

How can it be empty, 2014 cup winners .

We funded the stadium as it is well documented.

You are funded by a Billionaire who is yet to realise that weasel Levy is the real problem.

Trouble with spurs is that there isn't one football man at the club

You are a silly boy

Still doesn't detract from the fact you have won only 2 trophies in 9 years.
Considering you Gooners bleat on about being a massive club.
Massive disappointment more like.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are a MASSIVE club, but we are competing against clubs. two of which have ridiculous riches, we run our club like a business and run it in a successful way . There will never be enough trophies to go around, we were always going to struggle because we have funded our own stadium. A stadium that is envious of most. You are only as successful as your last season, I will always say that, so we were successful, end of. The previous 8 years are totally irrelevant .

Cant help but sense a bit of jealousy here.

We are consistently ranked 4th/5th in terms of international fan base, Top 5 in terms of Club Value (second behind Barca one year)

That's behind only Madrid, Barca, and United, and we dual with Chelsea for 4th place. (haha very funny)

When you consider that we only one 2 trophies in 9 years and used very little money in terms of global expansion compared to Chelsea who have won FA cups, CL, PL, EL, and pelted money at the African and Asian market at a time of exponential growth, and we're still light years of the Milans and Juve's of the footballing world.

So here's what I say Spursman, maybe we are only the 4th biggest club in the world but you guys don't even feature.

Hi Ed,
Now that Remy seems set for Liverpool, do you see Arsenal bringing in anyone else in the ST position? You've mentioned Bony before, is he of serious interest? Is there anyone else of interest, Lacazette, Lukaku, Balotelli or a wide player that may be converted centrally, like Greizmann, Reus or Draxler, someone of that ilk?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed027's Note - I think we will see another attacker join the club

Remy will go to Liverpool now I reckon!
It seems pretty done and dusted.
I've heard a few whispers we were never actually seriously in for Remy and that most of the rumour comes from his appearance at the FA cup!
(Of course that could just be people's excuses as to why we didn't go after Remy, who knows!)

Reus will stay at Dortmund this season I think, Barca wanted him early in the window, but his injury scuppered their interest.

Bony would be great.
A lot of people point out that Giroud had a better goal tally overall, but as much as I like Giroud, he's a very, very immobile forward in a league and system that requires pace.

Bony has strength, speed, technique.
He's a very complete forward IMO, and I think with someone like Özil playing him in and Sanchez and Walcott playing off him as wide forwards, more than traditional wingers, I reckon bony would score for fun.
Swansea want about £25m for him apparently and I wouldn't be too annoyed if we spent that In honesty!

But still, for me there's this little bit of hope we'll still gamble on Mario.

Sanchez is a player that has immense talent and will work hard for 90 minutes.
That's a fantastic asset to our team.

Balotelli has the same talent, but he can play like rubbish for 89 minutes, then have 15 seconds of sheer mad genius, that wins you a game.

Those two coupled with Özil, it's a mouthwatering prospect for me!

Question for Eds. Is Vidal to United a done deal? I think he'd go alright as our holding mid, we have UCL to offer and we've already got a relationship with his agent with the Sanchez deal. Wenger has stated his admiration, is there any chance we could slide in and sign him? Pretty sure Wenger wouldn't mind nicking one of their targets!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed027's Note - nope he is not a done deal at all

19 Jul 2014 18:31:49
Eds, what's the situation with Wellington Silva? Whenever I've seen him he looks like he's got some talent but he's always out on loan, is there a problem with his work permit or is it just wenger wanting him to have game time?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed027's Note - couldn't get a permit again this year, last I heard he was off to Almeria on loan?

I think he will get his Spanish passport after one more year then he will not need a visa! He was rated as highly as Neymar and Lucas at one point in Brazil then he came to us and has stagnated ever since these work visa issues hopefully he will come good a very quick tricky player on his day but tbf has gone sideways since he joined us at 17 :/

Any talk of announcing a new captain?
Personally I think we need a change but I'm half struggling with who.
Kos/rambo any1?
I like the bully type, very vocal but we lack that slightly so any news any views welcome.

Ps couple more signings and the world is ours. Come on ARSENAL come on ARSENAL!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Iv got 2 preferences. Ramsey or Wilshere.
Ramsey as he has established himself from 99% of people wanting him out the club 18months ago to a player who when fit is a definite starter. Hopefully now we have a sound financial footing now gone are the days of selling our best players. I could see him being at the club for 10+ years.
Wilshere has had some bad press recently but we all know the potential the lad has. Tough couple of years with injury which hopefully are behind him and the club now. Would the captaincy help keep him focused? Quite possibly. Him and Rambo could be a key feature in the midfield for a long time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not Ramsey, not Ramsey for a long time.

I have nothing but respect for Ramsey.
I was one of his critics myself, wanting him to be loaned out for a season, to get confidence back.
And he showed me and a LOT of people up by being probably our best player last season, even with the injuries and one of the best In the league overall.
But one of the things that contributed to Rambos poor showing the seasons before, was being Wales captain at such a young age.
The pressure, I can only imagine, must be immense, know there's 10 other men counting on you to lead them.

He doesn't need that.
He needs freedom to play his natural game.

Maybe later on, he'll be more experienced and hardened to the idiocy
Of the press and he can captain us, but not right now.

Personally, it's the BFG all day long.
The players respect him, Arsene respects him (there's an interview where he explains how he's he's Arsene's personal debt collecter at the club, anyone has fines to pay, Per goes a knocking, he put it down to the fact he's typically German in his efficiency)
He's a fan favourite and he puts his soul out on the pitch.
He's 29, 30 this season, but it's not like people can say he's lost a yard of pace, he never had it!
Pers reliance on his judgement, positioning and tactical nous, means for me he could stay at this level till around 32-3, giving us 3 years of captain per, in which time someone younger, like Jack or Rambo can develop into a leader.

If not per, then Poldi, purely for the fun.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2014 09:40:35
I would prefer to see per as captain. Remember the ozil thing after we got smashed by city? that's a captain in my world and a true leader. In the future it would be nice to see wilshere or ramsey as captain, but I don't think they are ready at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Per for me born leader very vocal and cool head in situations!

Bfg is a good shout to lads.
I hear that it's abit to soon for Rambo and jack but I think we need to sort this situation ASAP
