The headline asks is " Neymar better than Messi and Ranaldo " :-)
Better? To have 3 players on that level playing in the same era would be an amazing thing let alone for anyone surpass Messi and Ranaldo"s level, IMO Neymar has one or two others to get ahead of before he even thinks about challenging the very top two players in the world.

ronaldo is truly a great, he has proven himself and his consistency over the decade, while he does have his ego flaws the hardwork and dedication into his profession is inspirational.

while messi too has done the same, that element of genius will always be in his favour.

i will enjoy the classico today, i don't buy into this media war between the two, or who is better.

as far as neymar, he has never had the pressure to lead such a big club into finals and take the game on.

this is just an observation, but if you look at the past brazilian superstars they seem to be unstoppable in their youth and fade away in their peak years.

ronaldinho age 28 leaves barcelona.
rivaldo age 30 leaves barcelona
romario age 29 leaves barcelona

i don't know what it is, but i can see ronaldo and messi being consistent for another2-4 years

i just don't see neymar being all the rage in beyond 5 years, let's see i could be proven wrong.

{Ed001's Note - I would think Neymar Jr. carrying the name Neymar adds its own pressure that neither Messi nor Ronaldo have ever had to worry about. Also, he captained his country in the World Cup finals as their one and only shining light, then again this summer in the Copa America. I would say that far outweighed any expectations that he could possibly be pressured by at Barcelona.

Oh and Romario played to a high level well after leaving Barcelona. The only reason he missed out on the 1998 World Cup was injury, the 2002 World Cup saw him left out for indiscipline, not because he had faded. He just chose to play at home in Brazil, rather than lost his edge. Maybe that is the difference? He chose to go home when he was ready, rather than stayed in Europe for the money?}

so in your opinion ed do you think he would have made madrid more of a threat than they are with ronaldo. or barcelona with out messi.

to me personally i think he is on par with eden hazard and bale and sanchez and de bruyne and reus, just not on level with messi or ronaldo.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Neymar is better than either Bale or Hazard, this season he has been better than Ronaldo too.}

Have to agree with Laker. For me, Hazard is a better player than Neymar (not on current form obviously) . To start mentioning him in the same breath as Messi is utterly farcical imo. And there is this strange trend of Brazilians fading earlier than they should. Ronaldinho was unquestionably the best player in the world, yet by 28 he was completely washed up.

Your right Dags I'm going a bit OTT, I mean even we can't get that many injuries in one match :-)
I hear there's a couple of our under 12s who might be ready just in case though :-)

G62,
I'm polishing my Roy Race boots even as we speak :-)

{Ed002's Note - I am guessing that is some sort of masturbatory rhyming slang, so would like to remind you this is a family web site.}

Roy Racw! The only man ever to score a hatrick in an FA cup final then go in goal and save an 89th minute penalty with the score at 3 2, and to think he only got 288 England caps.

{Ed002's Note - I am not even sure how that is pronounced. Clearly you are excited - so keep it greasy.}

West brom are truely anti football. Early goal they crumble. Pulis to walk away in the summer.

Alexis Sanchez on being fatigued
" Are you short on energy? Here have some of mine " :-)
You've got to love the blokes attitude and commitment, what a fantastic role model.

If I was him I'd want 200k a week for my new deal.

If you was him you would dye your hair ginger and wear a light blue shirt with 'Kevin' on the back :-)

Just 200k Dercity? Surely 300 would be more your mark mate :-)
To be fair if the whole of football went bankrupt tomorrow I'm sure Alexis Sanchez would be playing for a pub side on hackney marshes Sunday morning and paying his £3 sub's.
