Where it began, was it with Must Ozil!? All that I know its growing strong

Fans hugging fans, reaching out touching me touching you

Sweet Arsenal good times never felt so good, I'd been inclined to believe they never would.

Sorry about that I've had a drink and tonight that sounds really good to me, the wife hates it, but then again she's been listening to it for the last hour and its interfering with her shoe thinking time

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't let her bring you down fella. Sounds good to me.
Flybo

No need for apologies G62, we are all loving the feel good factor, long may it continue

our 1st goal yesterday is no way getting the media coverage it deserves!

It should be on the 10 oclock news! on the x factor! they should stop regular programming and play the goal!

anti Arsenal media!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Brumygun your so right, that goal alone is worth replacing EastEnders and Aarons goal should take the place of coronation Street and our warm up replacing Spurs TV

Agree0 Disagree0

Hahah. warm up replacing spurs tv. soo true.

I'm just speculating. but I think Joachim Löw will be our next manager after Wenger. If Wenger signs the two-year contract offered to him, that would mean that in 2016 it will expire. Coincidentally, Löw has also signed a two-year contract with the German national team, making him available in 2016. Plus, he's German and implements a similar style of play I. The German national team.
My favorites to take over as Arsenal manager: Klopp, Löw, and Laundrup

Absolutely buzzing off of yesterday's win. The only downer being the injury to flamini.

Cannot physically wait until Tuesday to see two beautiful footing sides go at it!

Would love to ask a Dortmund fan if they were to sell Lewandowski to any team who would it be?I'm sure they'd say us! He certainly is the missing piece and apperantly pep isn't interested in him anymore

who do you prefer; a 22 year old ramsey or 22 year old cesc?be honest and no sentiment.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cesc. Puely because he has been class since he was 16 and therefore you know it's not just a flash in the pan thing. Hope the Ramsey we see now is here to stay though.
Flybo

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramsey. He looks to have every aspect of midfield buttoned down already. Yesterday he did some skill that was reminiscent of zidane

Agree0 Disagree0

That's a tough one mate!
The honest answer? I don't remember anyone ever seriously comparing Fab to Zidane at 22 or ever come to that.
So on that basis its Aaron for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramsey as he is currently the complete midfielder he can pass, shoot, tackle, dribble and has a great engine

watford gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Gunner62, gives me goosebumps when people start comparing him to zizou.

It's a crazy thing to do and a very bold statement to make but if he does start to turn us into a title winning team then maybe he can be 'Arsenals Zidane'

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact we are comparing rambo to cesc is a compliment to Aaron. that would not been conceivable a year ago. Mr Ramsey you are a superstar

Agree0 Disagree0

Its so exiting being a gooner right now, Aaron leading the way, Mesut having to try and keep up with him ( did I just write that? But it's true) Santi coming back, Giroud looking so good, Szczesney looking solid

If its all a dream please let me sleep a bit longer, because its the best one I've had since Jennifer Aniston came onto me in Witherspoon's and I gave in

Agree0 Disagree0

Jennifer came onto you too? damn her. she told me I was the only one, damn that red lion pub and all her lies.

Gunner62 we have a duel to settle. on guard.

I can see a problem coming up.Flamini is on 4 yellow cards and so he needs to get another one against crystal palace, so that he misses the carling cup game.Otherwise if he gets one in the cup game he will miss the Liverpool game, which would be bad news.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Might not be a disaster if he misses Liverpool because we defiantly need him against united

I would like to send Robin Van Mercenary a message of comfort.

If you were watching us on MOTD last night and drooling like most people how good our football was yesterday capped by the pure class of the first goal and a part of you was thinking ' I should be a part of that'
Please please don't waste your time on what could have been or start thinking you have made a mistake because that's just not true, you did the right thing I promise!
BECAUSE WE COULD NEVER HAVE PLAYED THAT WELL OR SCORED THAT GOAL WITH YOU IN OUR TEAM.
I hope that helps

Brilliant :-)

Wilshere - Academy
Flamini - Free
Ramsey - 5m
Cazorla - 16m
When you don't do the sugar daddy thing, you need dealings like this so you have the funds to buy an Özil.

What can you say about Ramsey. When you nearly have something you love nearly taken away from you and win the battle to come back, desire is a given. Add to that confidence and WOW. Even though I have backed Ramsey all the way through his comeback from injury, and the sad death of his international Manager who made him captain. I don't think any of us knew exactly how skillful he is. Nobody deserves it more.
Desire, skill, confidence and a Manager who knows.

I leave you with my little finger pressed firmly up against the corner of my mouth, and laughing like Dr Evil. Mwahaha Mwhaha! Shhmoke and a pancake.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good post Flybo. In your summary of great deals you missed Giroud 13 mill. that is another great buy he is getting better and better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Give nicky bendy some credit. he sat on the bench for years but he has to only step on the pitch for a min and he can outshine messi.

Really excited, proud and enjoying every minute of watching us again, I'm looking forward to the two games with Dortmund but then again I'm looking forward to all our PL/CL games.
Can we win the title this year? Of course we can but I'm not getting carried away thinking we will.
Just before Mesut joined us I thought top 2 or a real close 3rd was a realistic aim and obviously his arrival hasn't lowered my opinion.
Some people are saying we haven't played anyone yet! Don't think Spurs or Napoli's would agree with that or Swansea and West brom come to that.

Maybe we will hit a low, maybe we will not be able to carry our form through out this season, but one thing is for sure we are on our way back to our very best and if anyone fancies there chances of finishing above us? Best they give it all they got this season because it ain't going to get any easier next season or the one after that and so on.

Posting this cause I'm not sure anyone else heard it! Alan Hanson talking about Ramsey on MOTD last night: "He's just like Zidane, so much time on the ball and everything he's trying is coming off, he's playing with so much confidence and his approach play is fantastic". I am paraphrasing a little but you do not get many players who get compared to Zidane be it prematurely or not.

This might seem easy to say now but I've always saw that Ramsey had real real class (Maybe it's the Welsh bias) He got a lot of stick last season and I know a lot have said about Ozil and what a fantastic player he is but Flamini is our real unsung hero.

Last year our Mids - Arteta, Wishere, Ramsey, Santi Rosicky etc. Were unable to play like they do now, when were on the attack great but as soon as the ball was lost it ended up with everyone running back to try and win ball, we lost our shape and in turn this dragged Giroud in to Midfield, where he only really had options to hold the ball up (After all he does lack pace and isn't going to burn many Defenders in the EPL, I'm not too sure his dribbling is all that great either though his First touch and Passing play is exceptional for a forward).

Anyway my point being however good Ozil is I believe the real catalyst has been Flamini, He's made sure he covers our defence and allows our more attacking mids to get forward, this in turn has allowed the likes of Ramsey, Ozil and now Wilshere to shine. Giroud now hardly comes into midfield to hold the ball up but is instead always on the shoulders of the defenders pushing their defensive lines around and creating gaps.

I have to say I think Flamini could be the most important signing Wenger has made in the last 10 years at least and this in turn has turned us into a team where it seems we have 5 or 6 new signings instead of 1.

I look forward to the future and wonder how the bigger teams such as Man City, Manchester United and Chelsea will defend against us especially with Cazorla, Ozil, Ramsey, Wilshere and Giroud all playing such scintillating football, if they over mark one the others just play through anyway, There's so much creative talent now.

Well that was my little analysis, So hats of Flamini, Sir, you have done us proud and given us the confidence in our ability to snub any attacking threat, something we have missed for such a long time and I thank you.

COYG!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Really good post mate, without a doubt Flamini has been a fantastic signing and made a massive difference to us, on its own that would have been a very good step in their right direction.

But add him Aarons magnificent turn around in form plus the arrival of Ozil and the effect that has had on lifting every ones belief and expectations, you have a recipe for success we are just beginning to enjoy :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Oct 2013 13:13:30
The other notable thing about Flamini is he had no real pre season, was just training with us and simply stepped straight it without taking a breath. He's been incredible. I so remember being gutted when he left and you'd think he never had.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great post Rhymney, absolutely hit the nail on the head. And to think flamini cost nothing ( makes a mockery of fellainis £27m price tag)

I was impressed by Bendtner when he came on. He looks like he has lost weight and is regaining fitness & sharpness. His two goals against Italy appear to have done him good. I would like to see him play in the cup game against Chelsea and be brought on against Crystal Palace, if we are winning comfortably. He is extremely similar in style and build to Giroud and will make an excellent deputy if he has matured.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Did you post that with a straight face?

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope Wenger plays him so he can find some clubs interested in him.
Sorry mates I realllly dislike the player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets give the guy a shot. He's a Arsenal player for the time and I agree, he did look in better shape then weeks previous.

Not saying we should sing his name just yet, but he may do a job for us. And if anything should happen to Giroud (knock on wood), he looks next in line over Sanogo.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have knocked Arsenne in the past, lots of people have knocked Ramsey and we have all knocked this silly boy. But in the spirit of new beginnings for our club let's hope he comes up trumps, stranger things have happens!
I can't think when though

I believe AW has finally found that blend, the one barcelona found a couple of years ago when they had the ronaldinho's and they started dominating Europe. This team could achieve soooo much not only because it is young but because even on our bench we've got young hungry talent. I believe cazorla, Ozil, wilshere and ramsey(what a player) can do for us what Iniesta, messi and xavi do for barca.

I would soo love for us to do a clean sweep of all the trophies announcing our Return to the high table.

Oh Rvp this is just going to hurt when you are not playing champions league football and we are dominating Europe. What a plonker. Lol :) :)

Poetry in motion. It feels good to be a gunner.

All I've heard in the last two weeks from arsenal internet fans has been "wilshere out" "should pick on form" and the ilk. Well he sure shut you up. Would be nice to see some of those critics eating some humble pie and remembering that wilshere is arsenal through and through (which is more important than form).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Some fans, not all fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes let's do all we can to keep Jack happy at all costs, if it means selling Ramsey Carzola and Ozil so he can be top dog so be it, if it means playing Barnet and Enfield in local derbies its a price worth paying to keep some one who is arsenal through and through happy.
Jack doesn't need special treatment he will be a automatic 1st choice for club and country in the not to distant future because he has earned it not been given it.
By the way I've been Arsenal through and through for over forty years should I get my boots ready for Tuesday :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Gunner62
Spot on. Whoever is best at the time. Isn't it nice to have the choice.
Flybo

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Flybo, we all want Jack to for fill his fantastic ( P word) and I have no doubts he will.
This time last year we were desperately trying to rush him back from injury as things were not great, now its a case of take your time son, keep doing the right things and one day you WILL be just like Zidane and Ramsey (sorry couldn't help last bit) :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

AASgooner, I don't totally agree with your post mate.
I have casted doubts about him over the past few weeks, saying he doesn't look match fit and he should be given a rest and prehaps sit on the bench.
I will not apologise for expressing an opinion about an Arsenal player, irrespective who who they are. If ozil goes through a bad patch and is not performing than I will say the same about him and any other Arsenal player, no matter who they are or how big a player they are.
I have been a gooner for over 40 years and have seen the likes of frank stapleton, alan sunderland, liam brady, george armstrong, david oleary, tony adams, nigel winterburn, pat vieira, thierry henry and robert pires dropped for various reasons. Yes, I agree jack is arsenal through and through, does that mean he should not be rested if he is off the pace? Of course he should and if you ask jack himself he would probably say the same.
having said that, i'm as happy as a kid in a sweet shop that he has found his form and is playing well again. Maybe that just reinforces my opinion that a little rest on the subs bench is not a bad thing. FOR ANY PLAYER.

Agree0 Disagree0

My post was never calling into doubt that any of you are arsenal fans. I was just making the point that if we call for people to be dropped to the bench after a couple of poor games then it is harder for them to hit form again. One of the reasons Ramsey is do good now is that wenger stuck with him when all the fans were calling for him to be dropped. I wasnt one of those fans then and I think we should learn lessons. In Wenger we trust.

P.S gunner62 - yes, would love to see you on tuesday against dortmund over RVP or Nasri, not all about quality or we become united/liverpool/city

Believable0 Unbelievable0

One of the best goals I've seen in a long time.
I missed the game after spending the day in bed (pub straight from work at 6 this morning) I've watched it over and over, and it's just quality play at its best all around.

Just awhile back we lacked quality and depth.

then we bought a player for free in flamini. spent 42.5 million on ozil and depth and quality has returned.

Ramsey I have no idea if he sold his soul to the devil, but jesus man. i'm in pure awe of this kid. just keeps growing. superstar potential.

Ramsey and flamini have suddenly give us the depth we never envisioned.

then we have wilshere another superstar potential.

we have santi who is a borderline superstar.

and ofcourse the 42.5 million superstar.

Giroud is just sublime. he really is a team player.

and quite soon, walcott, poldi and ox back. come on. we can actually do some damage.

Im not going to jinx the team for the cpl. just going to hope we can at worst come out with a draw and keep injury free. that's all I will say. won't name players.

That was a great performance from us today. I really hope it continues. If we beat dortmund on tuesday then who knows what can happen. CL runners up they were. I think this team should fear no one - they have enough technical quality to beat anyone in my opinion. The only thing I worry about is the defence - has it been properly tested this season?
The next month and a half will show what we can do and I hope it is ultra positive.
