Mmmmmmm hate saying this I don't know Dags. I know what my heart says to say. Fact is its the same old story and its effing annoying. We have no backup so how are we supposed to compete in big games. Every season it's the same over and over again. Every transfer window we are praying for some decent signings Come this time of year we are always hoping we can nick a top four spot or should I say scrape out a top four spot. It does my head in to be honest .

What odds on a giroud hat trick?

RVP out for up to 6 weeks, no doubt he will be the reason why utd failed to beat Munich and failed to finish in the top 4
Believable0
Unbelievable0
No, the reason we are 4th is because we simply have not been good enough this season, no excuses used from us, we dnt, unlike a few on here, claim to be unlucky or treated bad by refs and the fa. The reason we are struggling is because most were not up for the fight and had a ready made excuse in the change of management. We have been woefull end of.
Still quite funny that even with our terrible season u still hold your inferior complex with us :-)

Here is another memory for some
Anyone remember Arsenal 1 Coventry 1?
what is great about that. you ask?
Sammy Nelson . who?? you say, yes our once trusted Left Back scored at both ends and then pulled his shorts down at the fans lol
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Oh yes I remember that very well. I was in east stand Lower by the corner flag, not far from where it happened.
Sammy was getting stick all game, than hit a beauty, than dropped his shorts.
Well funny, lol.

There is only one memory IMO
Liverpool 0 Arsenal 2, for those of you who were there will understand and agree .
I have seen us in many games but that is just the most incredible

Best memory of all time. Liverpool were pretty much invincible at the time.
To win 1-0 would have been heartbreaking.
Oh Michael Thomas, us Gooners will never stop loving you mate.
(Funny enough I use to be friend's with his girlfriend at the time)

I was a year too late to have enjoyed one of the greatest upsets of all time in 89 as I was 5. My first BIG memory was Mersons goal against Sheffield wednesday at Wembley and the whole f.a cup league cup double in 93.
But my favourite would have to be "IT'S ONLY PARLOUR." against chavski, in a f.a cup final. With Dixon peeling off in celebration behind the goal two minutes before the ball hit's the back of the net. Funny how time does things to the imagination.

He plays regularly with the under 21's (his age group)
but unfortunately he plays like he does in the first team :(
the guy looks like he's overcome with a touristy awe whenever he plays

Lfc fan who discussed this at about LFC at work the other day so thought I'd ask a few pages.
If you could have just one player from the past brought back in their prime who would you go for?
For me is one of two players:
-Thierry Henry - like Giroud think he is a good player and brings the midfield in. but not world class. Henry with Ozil, Cazorla and Walcott would be fantastic to watch
-Viera - flamini is good but again not world class, Viera would solid up your midfield and would allow you to dominate teams.
Who would you go for?

I would buy a decent striker and bring back Bergkamp every time, best player ever to grace the premier league

Roland, I think you said it for us mate.
Definitely Thierry for me, than Vieira mate. (as you called it)
Agree0
Disagree0
Viera couldn't play in the modern game at his prime imho, can you imagine viera tackling suarez and the referee allowing play to carry on? methinks a bite would be the least of suarez' worries :P
id take gilberto silva back instead,
also henry is a nobrainer, he will always be in gooners hearts, and we need a devastatingly good finisher atm anyway.

Apart from the obvious players ie Henry, Wright, Bergkamp. I would say Marc Overmarrs! he was something else I thought.

Lakerville,
When you get a chance, could you just elaborate on what you were talking about earlier with "bad luck" we seem to have? Especially in major tournaments.
Just like you, I actually enjoy when we are written off, as I like playing as the underdogs. But how much of that do you think is "bad luck" and how much do you think is blatant corruption and manipulation?
The one that stands out in my mind the strongest is RVP's sending off vs. Barcelona, that still haunts me sometimes lol.
And how else could Qatar be seen as an acceptable place to hold a World Cup?
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Anyways, I would love nothing more than to see the look on Mourinho's face after we beat them 1-0, I think it's written in the stars.
C'mon boys!
Have a great weekend everyone,
Peace,
Trinidad-Gooner

Eds. I understand you can't get into someone's head. But would you say that all these rumours about Giroud leaving due to his girlfriend wanting him to go back to France and not being too happy with him, is more about Giroud just maybe! seeing the writing on the wall at Arsenal and having to play second fiddle to a new striker next season?.

{Ed002's Note - I have zero interest in questions like this. Sorry.}
Sorry about that.

Golds, for me Giroud seem's happy enough at Arsenal, but if his Girlfriend wants to go back to France I think he will leave mate.
