Just seen game.

Credit to Newcadtle, 2nd half they were superb.

Luckily, so was our defensive play.

We were so tired Dags it showed. Long haul back from Monaco and then up to Newcastle. Fair play to them for holding on

I'm just watching the bony show. Big Alan is a fan

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 06:04:45
Can't believe you watched Horse of the year instead of MOTD Derby, did he have a clear round? ;-)

Dags it's great that this team now takes 3 points in games like that as opposed to when we'd walk away with 1 or a big fat zero.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 08:33:17
Agree Red,

We would normally get turned over in games like this, with Wenger using our Euro disappointment as an excuse.

Newcastle pitch looked like a carpet.

Steve I want Liverpool to win. I just don't was manu getting top4

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Mar 2015 00:24:50
The main thing is making top four ourselves hopefully top 3 derby but the loveliest of course icing on the cake would be a second conservative utd free champions league, a nice one size fits all trophy indeed.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 00:53:16
Derby i'm with you I just think mus run in is to much for them.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 20:45:18

Its ok, I heard they met up last night and hugged it out :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 20:30:54
Hey steve won't go into explaining what i meant but i will ask you this, who do you think we can buy up top. And mind it someone who will be available. I see only 2 in higuain and possibly benzema, or a silly bid for kane Who as per me isn't that quick there. So tell me whom i don't wanna hear names like suarez etc

Believable1 Unbelievable0

22 Mar 2015 03:13:57
I can have opinions ie jackson martinez, cavanni, rhues etc and you hve mentioned two very capable strikers, but none of it is up to you and me, so suggestions are not going to solve anything. But if as is being mooted theo, cambell and pod are moved on, there will be room for another striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 08:53:21
Agree room for another striker, but that would you bench giroud? The way we play these days he is the most natural CF. The thing is i don't think we can bench giroud, and he is better of as a lone striker than paired

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 12:01:03
We shouldn't be buying player for bench but to play, if good enough, performance will decide and form, that goes for any player, anywhere in the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 20:10:10
we have just won away in Manchester, Monaco and Newcastle................not exactly short trips eh?

No wonder we looked a little tired

Believable1 Unbelievable1

21 Mar 2015 20:25:18

They are entitled too feel a little jaded.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 19:59:40
Listen up you lot.

Whatever you say or think, Giroud is fast becoming our main man and one of the first names on the team sheet.

Get use to it all you Giroud haters lol.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 20:20:01
I think more are coming to the idea of Giroud but he still has a boo boy following

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 20:27:37
Thought Ozil was quite today, for 42 million you'd expect more from him even in games in which he didn't play :-)

Agree2 Disagree1

21 Mar 2015 22:28:09
Outstanding again and still our biggest miss when he broke his leg. He is so much more than a goalscorer and he's pretty good at that too.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 23:25:02
I'll give Giroud his due he's an improved player from last season and scored some good goals this season

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 19:37:49
Derby,

Its sacrilege for me to compliment a Spud, but I must admit, Kane has been awesome this season.

But, he's still a spud :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 20:49:54
Good player dags. Great attitude not sure how he'll do at Madrid next year though lol. He should go to the u21s this summer BTW

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 23:36:30
Derby,

I think City will snap him up.

Blimey, you will be happy.
Kane and Bony up top together :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 08:10:16
Kane and bony at citeh, it's not exactly balotelli and aguero is it?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You need to take this to the Manchester City page from now on.}

21 Mar 2015 19:25:52

D16 Spot on with what you say, we have to realise Giroud will always score his goals inside the box.....haven't we been chasing a fox in the box? for pace and agility we have Sanchez, Ox and Walcott surely....how many more do we want, we have good variation I think

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 20:31:34
Like that tap in v city in the community shield from 45 yards you mean :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 17:05:56
Boy That was tough no idea what happ in that 2nd half just couldn't keep hold of the ball. Tired legs? I thought carzola had a quiet game and le coq had a terrible ten mins after his nose again. Happy though another away game out of the way. The most nonsenseical interlull

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 17:52:24
Second half the passing was just not there, we spent to long on the ball getting dispossessed, and passed to more Newcastle players then our own.

Agree0 Disagree1

21 Mar 2015 17:05:13
Steve, Giroud is one we need to keep not move aside.

I love the way we keep mentioning ......how many has Giroud missed..............oh come on .

Believable2 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 18:14:22
Giroud is a top boy, and getting better.

Like I posted yesterday, only 4 strikers in world football have a better goals per game ratio.

If he doesn't play, who scores?

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 18:22:54
Banbury I've never said, even though i think giroud is not top top class, he should be moved on, far from it, but if we want to challenge and go higher, we need a mobile speedier and more clinical player to come in.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 18:24:59
Kane must be up there dags.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 18:34:57
BG and Steve, have you had a little lovers tiff? Now now, kiss and make up please x

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 18:46:50
Giroud is such an under rated player for me. He offers so so much and the amount he has improved is amazing. I can think of many players more threatening in the air

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 19:53:09
337 we don't do tiffs.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 16:55:26
Great 3 points and good first half. Totally outplayed and dominated second half, credit to newcastle, but a win is the most important thing. For me welbeck and coq played well and giroud took his chances.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 16:21:36
Fresh legs required one or two look leggy. Plenty of fresh legsxon bench. Get them on wenger.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 15:41:13
Giroud in clinical form so far in this match. His recent goal record is fantastic. Up there with the best in the league.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 15:35:31
Giroud has scored 2. Furthermore, he has netted 11 times in his last 12 starts, with an additional 4 assists.

Not bad for a waste of space.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 15:44:56
But what about the missed chances Ted? If only he could score every time he touched the ball mate I don't think that's unreasonable

Agree1 Disagree1

21 Mar 2015 16:01:32
Im not his biggest fan, but no one has called him a waste of space, just questioned his ability at the higher level. I've always said he is a good striker. he's not top top class at the highest level, pleased he's at arsenal but a more dynamic striker next year to move us up is still required. he's doing a job to the best of his ability and at the moment we are benifitting.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 16:16:44
I think there's a few who need to make way for a much better replacement before Olly Steve, if we upgrade everyone who's below him we'll have spent 200-300 million by the time we get to Girouds upgrade

Agree0 Disagree2

21 Mar 2015 17:00:58
Ur words don't need to say waste of space, he does the job

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 18:24:39
Hood please do explain.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 14:49:59
Strong starting 11 and strong bench. Feel we could do with a better striker option on the bench as Theo is a winger

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 14:20:45
Strong team, wenger obviously plays golf too. Caz no10, easy win.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 14:57:11
Would have liked to have seen Sanchez rested and Walcott played. Sanchez needs a break whether he likes it or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 14:19:55
Cazorla AM let's see what he can do

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 15:37:58
Still feel his best position is central midfield. His best work happens from a deep central position.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 13:16:39
Bony starts. Goal. Shock face

Big player guys

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 13:57:50
He didn't look that big on TV, Its hard to tell though i guess it depends how far away he is, plus he was sitting down on the bench AGAIN

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 14:47:39
So if Giroud scores against 10 man WBA at home - he's a big game player also......

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 17:19:02
New club for bony and joined in a big of a low time. I think he'll prove a great buy

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 12:58:09
7 goals in 8 games for Giroud bloody awful, why he hasn't 8 in 8 ....shocking

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 14:24:18
Banbury he might have 10 in 9 tonight mate.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 12:54:33
Big away win today 4:1

Come on you Gunners!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 12:15:37
Id like to see how a 4th to 7th play off for champs place would work, would mean that teams like Newcastle, westham, Swansea, southampton would have more to play for in the 2nd half of the season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 12:58:23
Great idea, but would you have the away goal rule, so that it didn't go to penalties or would you have the golden goal or extra time after extra time or draw straws to decide the eventual winner. What about world cup 2022 how would that affect it, would the play offs be at wembley and wouldn't people moan if we finished fourth and failed to go through, how unfair it is. Just leave it as it is. Lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 14:46:10
I think there are enough games and lack of rest time for the players
If you came 4th and 4 spots get into Europe then 4th should get it. Why would the sponsors want a team who finished 7th in the "Champions" league

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - why not give one of the places to the FA cup winners? Or one to each cup winner? Nobody would put out a below strength team in the cups if there was a chance of a Champions League entry at the end of it!}

21 Mar 2015 11:53:47
Presumably wenger will get his Coq out for Newcastle today, the questionis who will join him in midfeild, I'd personally have Rambo in there

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 11:45:28
0-2 to the gunners today, giroud and sanchez with the goals might put a sneaky bet on this one i think cheers for the add guys. come on the goons

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 11:56:19
Check out their squad before you do, it looks like they're struggling to put a full team out. I think at least 3-0 maybe more

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 12:44:48
I don't think Sanchez will play. May be wrong tho

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 10:35:47
This seems like the type of player and attitude we would all want :

"I am now the first to training and last to leave. This used to be the other way round. I did not like training as much." He told German newspaper Express

"I have gained a lot of muscle mass because I am now going to the gym everyday. I train hard. There are no more excuses." he added

He knows he will never be a goalscorer to compete with the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but has his own views on making his game enjoyable.

He said: "When I was a kid I dreamed of winning the Balon D'Or. I still have that dream.

"People have criticised me for my lack of goals but I have nothing to prove to them. I do not have a big ego. It is more important for me to create goals for others than to score them for myself.

"I don't need to score goals to be happy. Assists are what make me happy."

Sounds great - who is he, surely the fans must love him....

Shame we could not sign a player of this quality and attitude to put the team first in terms of assists and off the ball running.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 11:07:45
A guess, is that Özil? What a superb player and bloke

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 11:26:59
But did you see that ball that was fired at Le Coq at around 70mph from 5yrds away in the 17 minute, Ozil was only 20 yards away and for 42 million you'd expect him to make up that ground stop the ball from reaching Le Coq by intercepting it with his chest then on the volley play a 75yd pinpoint pass that splits the defence leaving Welbeck one on one with the keeper then get forward to give Danny an option, I mean for 42 million surely that's not too much to ask!

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 11:32:34
you just described me!

Time to bring Paddy home and integrate him into the coaching staff

That would be a great statement from the club

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 11:08:37
I agree, but I feel that he may have a place in unsettling city. If I'm right then I don't want him at arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 11:59:00
Paddy Power? I bet h won't come to us, what are the odds?

If you mean Viera, I feel there was an issue with him and AW he is one of the invincibles that doesn't really say too much positive stuff about us, just feel something went on their and he joined city out of spite (and for a big wage of course)

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 12:52:10
The moment he walked out and shuck nasri hand and welcomed him to city may of ended his return

21 Mar 2015 10:22:13
G69, I'm not taking that! we need to win by at least 3 goals or "wenger out"!

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 11:38:00
724.3 as long as its 3pts I'm happy and if we can play well and do better than 0 2 brilliant, but Monaco taught us to take nothing for granted although I'm sure Reading are hoping approach them with that same compliancy too

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 12:02:32
G5TR1NG, I was only playing with the wenger out bit, although with Newcastles injuries, the fact that they have nothing to play for and if we play with the spirit we did last week we should hammer them.

I say let Theo and Ramsey loose on them, with Sanchez and Giroud and rest Ozil, but then what do i know?

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 13:09:18
If we are scoring that many that easy leave giroud and ozil on to bump their stats up a bit more. In fact play all the squad members who haven't scored up front too and give shez a run at striker. Let wenger take a penalty if we get one. I play golf and we always say beware of the wounded golfer. It might not be that easy, let's hope it is.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 08:16:23
Oh my friend G62, your brown nosing knows no bounds :)

Liverpool fans will love that lol.

Well I hope if we lose Sunday (which I doubt) they then come to u and smash u and u drop out of the cl places, u just embarrass yourselves in Europe anyway.
So for the good of English football I hope your lot are the ones that miss out :)

Let the clubs with a good tradition in the CL compete to win it.

Chris you have to look at the bigger picture mate, this goes way beyond football.
If we inflict utds brand on football on Europe do you think the EU will take that lying down? Of course not the repercussions would be horrible with trade sanctions and an increased tax on all our exports the very least we could expect in return, and who could blame them?
I think deep down you know yourself its best we don't start this conflict and contain this horribleness within our own shores

Agree0 Disagree1

21 Mar 2015 09:18:55

What would you guys think if the Petre Cech rumours are true. What one of our current keepers would you guys like to keep. I personally think Ospina is quite good and still has time on his side for improvement, but at the same time would be kinda gutted to loose Shez as he is still quite young and could be great in the not to distant future, I think we tried to bed him in to the team abit early to be honest and don't think a loan option would be the case, but how can you say no to someone of Petre Cechs ability.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Mar 2015 09:10:12
Szczesney has to be the one to go, he wouldn't be a number 2 without complaint and would bring in more money so it would make sense to let him go

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 11:43:23
yeah i agree but what a shame to let someone so young and talented leave suppose its a win win situation for all partys involved

I'll cech the news on us signing Chelseas goalie. The signing would be great for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people were saying earlier, quite wrongly we were a top 5 or 6 club in europe. Well boys I think you now realise, what people were trying to tell you guys, not even close. People have a go at me for being negative, well you guys were positive to point of ridiculous. I don't think I was negative by saying we aren't in the top 10 or 15 just real. Mind you I think all our clubs have had an embarrassing wake up call this week. Greatest league, only in uk.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thats right right hoody boy, we hammer Chelsea every season don't we .

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 10:58:39
Let's be the best in England and then wory about where we are in Europe. How can you be Europe's top anything if you can't be the best in your own country.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 11:00:43
C'mon guys, we are in the top 12 clubs in europe, and the league table doesn't lie as it stands at the moment we are better than utd and liverpool as they are below us, but chelsea and city are above us.

We were better than Monaco but unfortunately we took the for granted at our place, and lost!

Bickering between ourselves won't solve anything, the solution is we need to sign 2 or 3 world class players to compete at the top level and all the signs are there that we may do that.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2015 11:52:08

That is as far as we get how can we be any higher when we can't get into the quarter finals

You are correct we are better than both Liverpool and City, I would say on our day we can be as good as City, who at the moment I think are going backwards
