I watched the game today and here are some of my thoughts -

1. Let's tie Sanchez up on a new contract, this guy is amazing and never stops running. He got us loads of openings and earnt us the penalty.
2. Özil is class. Even when he played alongside Arteta and Flamini he was class. Always an option and he played some fantastic balls today. Yet another assist for him today.
3. Arteta, Mertersacker and Campbell are not good enough. They proved it today. Campbell had a golden chance to draw us level and fluffed his lines. Arteta has been a good player for us in his earlier days, but today he was really awful. Mertersacker always looks like a liability. I never feel comfortable when he plays. Even though Gabriel is no Maldini either but he is still learning and is more convincing on the ball also. He does not take 5 touches before getting his head up.
4. We were the better team today by far. Lots more openings. We hit the post and well we squandered a golden chance from the spot. We should be glad Manchester City got thumped today and Leicester v Manchester Utd is next weekend, points will be dropped.

We need to really bring it against Norwich next weekend, hopefully we have a few players back, but we need to take our chances. Also big shoutout to Jamie Vardy, what an incredible run he's on.

For today i thought the only player who came to the party today was sancez. I thought our corner delivery was terrible today by ozil and caz. I hope coq isn't out for long, we desperately need his presence, on the otherhand, i hope arteta is out until next year ( harsh i know)

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 21:35:43
Steve no shame in wanting arteta out for a long time. His injury last year got coquelin back. I dread to think where we would be had he been fully fit last year.

21 Nov 2015 18:59:23
Well you all know my thoughts but going to throw a positive spin on this

In the past we have been miles off the pace as we go through December but with City currently 3-1 down at home to Liverpool there is every chance after our customery poor November we could well be in touch.

And we new signings Wellbeck and Wilshire we could have an exciting end to the campaign.

21 Nov 2015 21:29:34
Do you really think we will see welbeck and wilshire for a sustained period, if at all, i'm not so confident.

22 Nov 2015 01:16:17

Rafa is always a terrible appointment. He is a terrible manager.

21 Nov 2015 18:39:59
Artetas first five touches, contribution, 3 fouls one misplaced pass and a home goal. Class.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 18:51:01
Doesn't matter though his influence on the coach and in the dressing room is amazing hahaha.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 19:01:21
Baffled as to why he is still here.

21 Nov 2015 19:11:09
Have you seen his hair?
Show him some damn respect :-)

22 Nov 2015 04:24:38
Don't forget cpt fantastic gave the free kick away for their first. Let's hope for a quadruple, career ending, leg fracture.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats a terrible thing to wish upon any player jack..never mind one of your own!, the guy has done a good job over the years and its not his fault that he gets picked its a lack of squad depth thats to blame...so take a long hard look in the mirror mate and think about what you have written about him..your a disgrace to the name of an arsenal supporter..

22 Nov 2015 08:23:47
Jack

Thats a bit harsh, Its not Artetas fault he's playing.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Nov 2015 08:41:14
Tut tut,
Terrible thing to say.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Nov 2015 09:34:17
Guys arteta signed the new deal so yes he thought he could play. So I have no sympathy towards him. We all saw he was finished.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 18:22:23
Two games on the trot when the chance of leading the prem, we get wobbly legs and our football suffers. We could have gone top last game and stayed and it looks like the same today. No class, no balls and no chance. Please Real, Munich, psg or anyone, make wenger an offer he won't refuse, then we might beat you too.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 18:36:05
Disappointed mate, we bottled it as usual. Don't you just love November?
On the bright side, City 1-3 down at HT.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 17:20:00
Well if this is the new arsenal that some people on here insist it is, then they are very similar to the old one. Hardly any threat from West brom and they get two, poor final ball and finishing and lack of ideas from us. The players who come in, gibbs, arteta ( with a special mention for negative impact I've ever seen) giroud, and campbell, just not giving us anything what so ever. A special mention also for mert, wow you look awful. Wenger yet again you fail to influence a change in approach and let the game fizzle to a non performance. Why, including poor November performances do things ( bad things ) keep repeating . We are drifting, no drifted back to old arsenal, fourth place trophy favourites.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 17:51:06
Yep definitely Harvey Keitel. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 17:11:24
Title. not a hope. yrs gone by a Utd, Chelsea arsenal of old a leader would get the team going, Keane, veiria, terry. the fight back would be on get an equalizer wit 10mins left. then get the winner in the last few mins. we have no leaders. mert and arteta captains, come on you have to respect your captaining. how can you when they shouldn't be no where near. The first team.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 18:17:16
So sligo, where do you place the blame?

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 18:38:07
Wenger?

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 20:48:56
well steve. wenger as dags says. its taken 10yrs to find a top goalie. he has arteta and merts captaining the team. he stumbled on le coq for def mid . we have no player to get the team going when the game is not going our way. we are a bit like that nursery ryhm. when we are good we are very/very good, but when we are bad we are horrid. our first 11 without mert are as good as anyone. crying out for a holding mid. should of bought snerderlin. our injuries are shocking. wenger is a tight arse in the transfer market. might of cost us this season. without doubt this is our best chance to win the title. if we don't wenger has to go. never want see arteta capt or mert. give it to ramsey or sanchez. players have to step up to, need players back quick.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 21:12:48
Quite agree sligo, some of the poor decision making is still there, not getting another holding mid, another striker, relying on injury prone players, retaining arteta, campbell and mert, the balls up with ox and theo against spuds and please where are our promissing young players, is there no one better than arteta, cambell or gibbs, if not what going wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i happen to agree steve..

21 Nov 2015 22:16:03
Great win today ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - yeah it was good steve, but to be honest mate villa are very poor, i was very surprised you lost at west brom though, i think it shows how lacking in a top class squad you really are, lots on here have expressed their concern that there was no real back up for le coq and today it came to pass, but you Are still firmly in the race but really need to strengthen in january if you are going to win it, but im not holding my breath..

21 Nov 2015 23:10:00
Eds Ross Barkley is a worldie mate. £50mill player massiv fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he can be at times derby but can also be very frustrating, he tends to overplay the ball too much for me which cracks me up as i think he has the ability but needs to apply himself better at times mate..

21 Nov 2015 23:40:33
Ed personally I've never thought we were in the race. Just signing cech gave us a better goalkeeper, but that's just a sticking plaster compaired to what's needed for us to win the league. This club don't convince me its an ambition they have or the most important thing. I don't feel that desire but I do sense they want to improve the profits, but for what i'm not sure. Many people identify the things required for this team to challenge except the people who can change it.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i will buy that steve, im a massive fan of arsene but if he had bought a CH, DM and a striker in the summer i believe the league would be in the bag by now, the likes of arteta, flamini and campbell are not a good enough option if your looking for titles mate, but he seems to to have a blind faith in them which i find hard to comprehend..

21 Nov 2015 17:01:28
We are yet to win a game in November. funny that.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - not that funny BG :( it does tell me that with no cover for le coq it could cost arsenal the league though mate..

21 Nov 2015 17:10:16
Sarcasm mate

See my earlier posts about transfer windows

Ive bleated on all season that our top 13 or 14 players are the best but after that forget it

Today proves that very point.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 16:58:24
quite sad by today's showings. if these showings continue, then the title will shift farther from us.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 17:35:49
The truth is we are not drifting towards a title and never were, far from it.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 17:54:55
After beating Munich at home

werent we going to rule Europe?

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 16:55:19
If we could have 60 registered players for the season at some point 51 would get injured. same old story over and over again.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 16:54:25
DONT SHOOT ME DOWN

But today shows what some have been saying for ages. we will pay for what we didn't do in the last transfer window. Our squad is not good enough, our strongest 13 or 14 is but they are never always available.

No excuses, the bench isn't good enough.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 18:33:39
You won't get shot from me .

21 Nov 2015 16:44:13

Needed the point Santi.

21 Nov 2015 16:33:58
The funny thing is WBA have had 1 shot on target and are 2-1 up

Dont you just hate that sort of stat.

21 Nov 2015 16:26:58
No idea what people see in mitrovic. The guys terrible.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 16:26:40
As I posted looks like Leicester are going top.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 16:14:54
Wenger's decision to retain Arteta has proved to be an error. He hardly played last season and is injured yet again. We must buy a couple of defensive midfield players in the window, to replace Arteta and Flamini.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 16:11:34
Arteta now injured. not going well

A point will do .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 15:55:31
Arteta is no replacement for Coq but he's cheap so it must be ok.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 16:10:26
Warned people in the summer when he resigned all I got was he's good influence in the changing room zzzz and he won't play. What a joke he's not good enough and never was. We needed to let him go and buy someone.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 16:28:07
Totally agree

Big effing deal that he is good in the changing rooms. I won't ask what at eh?

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 16:01:32
Bringing arteta on instead of Flamini is one of the reasons Wenger needs to go, pathetic! No place for loyalty if you want to win trophies, Arteta wouldn't make it in to most teams in the premier league, he's useless.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 15:48:29
the wheels are starting to fall off. if we get three points here. we will win the league. arteta and mert are accidents waiting to happen. they are not good enough. there like an old dog you bring to the vets that can hardly walk and your hoping the vet will say they are going to be fine, but the kindest thing is to put them down. gibbs not a winger. let's see the leaders of the team or we lose heart and drop our heads. com on arsenal.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 15:06:15

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 15:30:14
get in there giroud.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 14:22:27
Of course by the end of the day you could have

Leicester leading the PL by 1 point

Followed by
M City
Arsenal
Man U
all level on points

What odds for that.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 14:13:04
Adelaide on bench, is it because we are struggling or is he impressing and pressing a first team start.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2015 14:20:01
He impresses me mate big time.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 14:03:51
