If odegaard is on 80k a week at real then it is a dark day for football

And to think, he's only 16.

Crazy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know it's disgusting, he should be on as much as bale and Ronaldo!

That's when you know there's something seriously wrong in football, it would take me 3 years to earn that! What's that going to do his head, we all know what's happened to Justin bieber lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Truth is no person kicking a bag of wind is worth 80ķ a week, when some people work their butt off in real work for not much more than 8k a year. Yet again another situation where football is loosing touch with reality. Totally obsene.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree steve...im a part time gigolo and dont earn that much most weeks mate..

Ed I thought gigolos only got minimum wage . I obviously need to get a life and get out once in a while. I might try some of that gigololing.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it keeps the wolf from the door steve.. :)

He has no right to earn what I earn he's only 16. My revenue from my app for high quailty pics of pig meat wasnt easy to make.

Make sure you all download it. Instaham

Terrible.

Seriously Derby, that really was terrible, lol.

Am I the only one who hates the 'footballers earn too much' argument? They earn what they earn because someone is willing to pay them X amount for their services. In fact they earn what they earn because you all pay to watch them, be it via television or at the stadium.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dags gammon admit it was a good joke. :)

grass roots is struggling tho. less players taking part. terrible pitches and facilities. the money needs to be put back in somewhere.

80k at 16 is damaging.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you think of football as entertainment, which hopefully it is, then the salary top footballers take, at least in percentage of turnover and profit is no worse than top movie or TV stars. If you don't like the wages, you can always go and support your local amateur team, although of course the standard is rubbish. Personally if I want to go watch a load of objects barely moving I can just go to the British museum and look at the statues.

Agree0 Disagree0

Epping clubs are in debt tho. pompey was a bad case of that no

say justin timberlake does a sell out tour. he makes money, the stadium makes money. there not trying to win a league or paying 60mill for the best drummer.

films the actor is paid. the film goes to cinema, dvd, net flicks etc.
if the actor was to sit on a bench for a year because he is injured he would not be paid 250k a week etc and would have no work. I think films are better value. 9 pound for avatar or 100 to watch arsenal chelsea. no brainer

and I do watch lower league do not mind i

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with red. To a point, untill it becomes detrimental to fans

Agree0 Disagree0

Blimey DG. Where do you go to watch movies for just £9 a pop? In London £9 won't even get you popcorn and a coke, let alone a movie ticket!!

Is it just me? But I think Louis van gonk looks like one of the Swedish chefs from the muppets?

He really should be coached on handling the press, I'm glad he's not our manager as much as AW can be annoying.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Does he not know you are allowed to buy CB's stock plied too many forwards bless him

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2015 21:04:58
I think he looks like Butthead from Beavis and Butthead.

Go on, google it lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he looks like he's got cling film on his face.

Agree0 Disagree0

Poor sod, I only suggested he looked like a Swedish chef, you lot are just plain nasty! :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

80k a week at 16? Good thing he'll have enough to retire on by the time he's 20 and we've all forgotten who he is.

As a Celtic fan and arsenal my EPL team I feel as if arsenal missed out on wanyama.
As a follower and visit Celtic park a lot I can tell you honestly arsenal should go all out for Virgil van dyke he is massive built like a brick u no what house scores well to boot further more the way he plays is really up arsenals street he can turn defence into attack has no problems carrying the ball up the park and his ball control is very very classy.
When sometimes Celtic need a goal we put him up centre forward this player is one of the best and Wenger should go all out to sign him he really puts the fear of god into his oppenants
And just another thing is it time for arsenal to offload Wiltshire

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i think he is absolutely hopeless and cant even trap a bag of cement CG, and under no circumstances should he sign for arsenal..(dont say anything, but i want him for everton shhhhh).. :)

Im a big wanyama fan. some on here are not. he was a bargain van dijk I would take for sure

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - van dijk was good in mary poppins DG, but i do like wanyama..

He wasn't bad in chitty chitty bang bang either

Agree0 Disagree0

I liked all his movies especially the action ones, oh wait that's van dam

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - mine just failed the MOT...oh no..thats my damn van..

Apparently, Diaby is joining Everton once he is released by Arsenal :)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - once hes released from A+E you mean..

The one thing about signing Gabriel Paulista that worries me is the language trouble. Center back pairs of all people need to have good communication. Does Kos know enough Spanish to help him out during games? Will he be used only next season? Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Jan 2015 12:57:49
Im glad Wenger is signing a CB, but £15m or so for Paulista? I really don't rate him, he will be 3rd choice and isn't better than what we alread have. Really think we should be going for someone who can push for a starting place. I hope I'm wrong and that he is a really good player.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2015 14:17:36
His first language is Portuguese

Agree0 Disagree0

Making a bit more sense now, apparently he is comfortable at full back as well so will give cover right across the back.

Villareal are also on a 15 game unbeaten run only conceding 17 goals all season.

Got excited for a minute.

Headline read "Arsenal sign Losada from Barca" and thought sounds good, then realised. .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Great signing at only 23 she is a class midfielder. will link up with kelly smith very well I think. here creativity is key. barca will be sad to see her go after a decade at the club.

Definitely one for the ladies mate :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2015 10:29:44
Paulista could join between 6-15mil but I think musachio is the more experienced and better defender

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I like the look of Paulista, but the work permit issue is a major concern.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2015 11:41:02
Hope he's good and replace mertesacker

Agree0 Disagree0

Be careful what you wish for, merteducker just captained us to a 2-0 win at City, we need competition and cover not a replacement!

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2015 12:02:47
And what about all the other matches he captained us too defeats he's never organised the defence and never seem to stand up when needed he has over 100caps for Germany but Still makes too many mistakes. I think most people will agree if paulista is half decent he should replace mertesacker

Agree0 Disagree0

He has made mistakes this season, but so have most other players, I can guarantee you that we will not sign a player and drop him full stop.

When we sign a CD they will have to wait for their opportunity and hopefully take it when it comes.

Last season when we played kos and merts together we were strong, albeit he is slow the partnership with kos works.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think with a quality DM and tighter defensive style a la Ci£y, hopefully Le Coq, Merts doesn't get beaten and exposed - oooh errrr madam - so often as he does in our open style of play! Having said that Paulista does look a player

COYG

Agree0 Disagree0

That wasnt meant to be sexist btw, I admit I don't watch ladies football which is why I turned the spurs game over last night.

Agree0 Disagree0

That should have been for the post above, ^^ makes no sense at all here!^^

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsene took a lot of stick after the Stoke and Liverpool games and once a CB is signed I don't think he will wastes much time having his revenge.
his hands have been tied because of the debuchy and kos injuries up until now but I don't think he will duck the issue for long when he gets his chance

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2015 10:22:24
The worst thing about smart phones is you get to check paper talk on the ssn app see a possible signing get your hopes up then the voice in the back of your head reminds you it's probably bull@%it

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Jan 2015 08:53:33
as I stated the other day. I thought work permits for footballers was silly

so there's new rules in the summer. any player above 10 million gets a work permit automatically. about time

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Jan 2015 11:04:21
Sounds logical to me! If somebody is earning mega money, which they are paying UK tax on, let them in!

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly my thoughts too. he will not be collecting scrap metal on a sunday morning out it that way

Agree0 Disagree0

Are we really talking politics on this page?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it makes a change from bo**ocks TPG.. :)

I thought they both meant the same thing Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think your right mate..

22 Jan 2015 07:20:31
The daily star and the Metro does anyone actually read these fantasy football comics.
Surely any political party who seriously wanted to win the upcoming election would forget about the economy education etc and just put top of their manifesto to out law this needless waste of the worlds paper resources.
A landslide victory would surely be guaranteed

Just seen a video of Chelsea physio billy mcculloch telling jokes, dags is he your brother by any chance?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Jan 2015 01:42:03
Mgm,

Speaking of jokes.

Last week I kidnapped ex tennis star Pat Cash.

When his wife dropped off the £500,000 ransom money, I said "Would you like cash back with that?".

Agree0 Disagree0

Not going to tell you to stop telling jokes. end of the day the ball is in your court. but you are causing a racket on here. I guess ill just let. you get on with it. anyway i'm off to get some deuce

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2015 08:21:50
Lol Derby,

I think my jokes are ACE.
To be honest, I think you all LOVE them :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not a TOURNAMANT guys, we can all SERVE up jokes to MATCH the previous ones, I have to say though that is SET point to derby.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2015 11:34:08
You're all at fault for the service of that set.

Agree0 Disagree0

Enough now we get the POINT

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha banter lads

Agree0 Disagree0

Would deuce quit it with the tennis jokes.
