Mario Gomez anyone?

I'd rather a more mobile striker in the mould of suarez or lewandowski. Giroud is better than Gomez IMO, let him play for FCB and he'll score 30 goals a season as they play with wonderfull cross makers.
Jovetic could be the one.

I know a lot of people will think this is obvious, but there seem to be a lot of people who think the total opposite of what I am going to say.

Our midfield and attack is too weak. Giroud is not good enough to be first choice striker for an Arsenal side that wins things, and our wingers (forwards that play on the wings because we don't have actual wingers) are not good enough.

When you watch Bayern and you see that each player flourishes in his position because its HIS position, you see we have a lot of round pegs in square holes.

Fair enough, on their day, Arsenal can beat anyone. Most people agree. Problem is, a lot of Arsenal fans seem to think that because we can beat anyone on 1 given day, it means we are a strong team. Well when you watch us struggle for ATLEAST 20 games this season to break a team down (and last season) you can appreciate that maybe we need something more in the attacking third.

People look at rosicky as a messiah for midfield right now but an attacking midfielder needs to score goals and he doesn't do it. Those 2 at west brom will probably be his lot till the same time next year.

This summer, I want to see Arsenal buy a striker to replace giroud as the number 1 at arsenal next season, I don't want someone that can compliment/aid him as a sub.
Likewise I want to see a right winger brought in that actually hugs the touchline, overlaps the rightback and puts in a cross that beats the first defender.

Make it happen Wenger

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Giroud is not a good number one striker; how many goals did Suarez score in his first season? We never appreciate our own, do we? If anybody said van Persie was a better striker than Rooney, he would have been laughed to scorn even by our own supporters. People should be fair to the manager. Hardly can he ever get ready-made materials because the money bags will out-bid and over-pay like it happened with Ribery and lately Juan Mata and Eden Hazard. He is forced to buy potentials and then nurture except for the times we get lucky as with Cazorla- where the money bags showed no interest. He did wonders with van Persie. Even van Persie himself did not believe what Wenger saw in him. I am convinced a lot of the names being bandied now will not reach the Emirates. Giroud will become what we want, just wait. That is not to say we should not buy to strengthen our team. Let us appreciate what we have. Someone from a slower and less physical league who has scored 12 goals in the Premiership in his first season is good.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't like our formation, nor the lack of tall powerful midfield players and question the conditioning of our players. Bayern were a tall powerful team, with a couple of shorter more technical players. Our successful teams during the Wenger era, played in a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 formation, with two tall powerful commanding midfield players.

Big game for us now against Utd on the weekend and it will be interesting to see how the game will pan out.

Ferguson is not the type of manager to let his players off with easy relaxed run of games, so they will still be up for it. This is a lot to do with why they are so succesful they do not let up in their intensity.

They will have that swagger and confidence that comes with winning the title and my only hope is that they become too over confident and over attack and open the game up which may suit us.

Wigan Are battling for their lives mind aswell and are down to the last saloon so to speak, so will make it a hard game for Spurs. I actually fancy Wigan to get something from the game, they have a history of pulling out of the bag at the last moment.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Its going to be a very difficult match against Man U and a draw is the best to be expected. Fortunately, Wigan are fighting for their lives and I am praying they can hold the Toot to a draw. Then we need to beat QPR and Wigan, whilst at Newcastle I can see another draw. So we end up with 71 points. In order for us to finish top 4, we probably need Chelsea to beat the Toot, if they draw against Wigan, beat Southampton & Sunderland, they will have 70 points and we will have to rely on a draw away at Stoke, to clinch 4th place on goal difference! nail biting stuff!

Begovic
Subotic or Hummels
Fellani or a better cdm
Jovetic or Abudamengy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree with your targets but it won't make us nailed on CL winners. Might make us a bit closer in the league

Agree0 Disagree0

Champions league winners? we are a long way off.

if you look at munich, barcelona, madrid and dortmunds team, there's a reason they are in the semis, they all have much superior teams.

munich are far above anyone as they can put there best team out and still bench gomez, shaqiri, kroos and gustavo. all these player would get into out starting eleven.

we need a lot of players in and a lot out if we are to win the champions league.

begovic/mignolet/adler/cesar
n'koulou/subotic/corchia
capoue/wanyama/gonalons (2 DM's)
draxler - we need this guy, he's amazing

and to start playing our players in their positions. and then we can start to think about getting into the semis of the champions league.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, the only problem, is that Wenger won't buy the players you mention. He will sell/release: Fabianski, Mannone, Sagna, Squilacci, Djourou, Santos, Denilson, Park, Bendtner, Chamakh, etc and will spend what he raises from these sales and little else.
He will sign a RB, a CB, a DM & a striker, but not of the quality and cost you suggest.

Please Mr Ferguson, take it easy with us on the weekend. We gave you our best player. You have won the league. Please take pity on us. We need top 4 to get the champions league money around £25m. This is the amount you gave us for RVP. Can you please not play him against us.
Otherwise this will cause me great embarrassment with my own stupid fans, who have blindly trusted me for 8 years.

Yours sincerely Mr Wenger.

I am starting to doubt wether we need another striker. In my opinion we now have 4 strikers; giroud, podolski, gervinho and walcott. If gervinho gets a grip on his finishing he can be a real asset. And with Poldi fresh for the new season he surley will be pushed into the middle. We then have 4 strikers who can produce a lot of goals:

Podolski: ca 20
Giroud: ca 15
Walcott: ca 15
Gervinho: ca 10

Would rather have us sign a good winger.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree. We used to destroy teams with our wing play and cut backs from the goal line. Even with Walcotts speed we never get behind or around the defence anymore.

I believe we shut Bayern out at their place. Even the great Barca's defense can struggle

About time our center backs, including BFG, get their due. They are absolutely world class, non negotiable.

I bet Barca would love a little Bosscielny right about now

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are you serious.

Agree0 Disagree0

I guess he is serious, 4-0 to Bayern ATM!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, I am 100 percent serious.

Our defense conceded ZERO goals at Bayern.

Agree0 Disagree0

US Gooner Barca are allowed to have a few bad days. they've been the best team of the last ten years. and arguably all time!. what have have we won compared to them in the last 10? I wish you would put things into perspective! I like your comments but you seme so delusional sometimes.

anyway where do you live? i'm in the chicago burbs. we should get a pint in some time over a game. not enough gooners around where I live

Scooby Dooby K

Agree0 Disagree0

Scooby, I'm downtown.

Usually at Fado for games if I get a chance, solid crowd of Gooners but can be hit or miss

To be honest I've always rated Barca's defense as average, and most of their CL if not all the conquests come off of a horrible call which helped them win

Today the calls went against them and they wilted.

We are not even counting Pique's handball

Agree0 Disagree0

US Gooner is bang on. Especially about the one horrible call. The balance of 'fortune' caught up with Barca.

Arsenal handled the skill and physicality of Bayern at home in a way very few have done this year. To the point of making them play nervously and in fear of advancing. We've had little to brag about this year until that game, so we should remember it with pride.

Agree0 Disagree0

I never thought our defence was particularly bad - the midfield leaving them exposed was my main ire.

What is ludicrous is the lack of ability to defend set pieces. I have no idea how we are so bad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Our defense struggles because Arteta is way too slow to play the pivot

For as much grief as we gave him, we miss Song badly

Agree0 Disagree0

US Gooner you are going to get some grief for suggesting we miss Song. Most people (not me) are glad we got rid.

in regards to goetze joining a rival, some people might not agree but we can't say anything because sol walked out on the spurs and joined us and he was one of the best cb at the time

gooner mark

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sol left a mid-level club to join us, a club who had won 2 doubles in the last 3 yrs before he joined

Gotze left a 2 time Bundlesliga champion who is in the CL semis, and his hometown club, to join the Bundlesliga champion and CL semi finalist

That's a parallel move, he's a sellout

Agree0 Disagree0

Gotze is from munich is he not?

Agree0 Disagree0

Gotze is from Dortmund

i seriously don't know why everyone is complaining that we've missed out on goetze. at the end of the day we would never pay that much for one player anyway. the only way we will spend 30 million plus is if it was on 2 or 3 players not 1

Believable0 Unbelievable0

23 Apr 2013 18:01:15
I really can't believe Goetze would agree to a deal with a rival NOW 2 days before Champions League semi just when you think you've seen it all. That would be like Bale agreeing to join us this week. Amazing.

But seriously gooners, yes, we all wanted Goetze but we would not pay 35 million for one player it's just not how we operate. Arsenal builds their teams we don't buy them like city and chelsea.

What we need to do is keep hold of our players now that the debt is said to be manageable we no longer depend on player sales to generate profit.

We build our team with our young British core (wilshere ramsey chamberlain jenkinson walcott) and make improvements via the transfer market where available but to even suggest that we are in for cavani or falcao is just a joke.

Arsenal is built on a sustainable model that's why we were one of the original premier league teams and one of the only ones that have never been relegated, ever. FFS even united were relegated once! We are Arsenal and we are here to stay!

Time to send a message this sunday!

I had a feeling that Giroud's red card wouldn't get overturned. When being a gooner, it seems like things like that just don't happen. Haha but what are your guys thoughts about it? Correct decision?

Also, I have no complaints about Giroud and his performances. I know there are many gooners out there that are not happy with Giroud, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I don't have a problem with that.

I am also somewhat excited that Giroud's red card didn't get overturned because I've been wanting to see a rotation with he forward position every now and then and now we can see the likes of Walcott prove himself at forward again or possibly see Podolski at forward for longer than his 10-20 minutes he had a few games ago (correct me if I'm wrong). Either way I am excited about it, but I just wish we could have seen this rotation earlier in the season as we are in a very crucial time in the season. So this could either break us or make us. let's hope we see positive results! I also imagine that this will give the Ox more playing time as well, so let's hope for the best for him as well!

Glad Gotze is gone.

Gundogan, Reus, Lewandowski and the two defenders should all be more important targets for us from Dortmund

I'd rather we sign Isco at that position

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You seriously underestimate Gotze. his stats at that age are in line with the one and only messi. no other player comes close. I wish people would see why he is coveted compared to other players.

anyway none of those players are coming to arsenal so let's just be realistic. once wenger is gone then perhaps we can see what the new manager brings. one more year of dead transfers to go.

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe Gotze is class. I believe we have a better player to play in his position in Jack.

I believe Ramsey will set the league on fire next year. He's back

I believe Oxlade will have the type of campaign necessary to be a fixed starter at the World Cup

We do not need more small central midfielders

I'd rather you sign Cabaye if you want a small central midfielder.

But really, spend the Gotze money and get Strootman or Wanyama, or how about both if you want to spend 30-35m

I think loyalty in football is about 95% gone.

I just don't understand how someone can move to a rival club.

There of course are some exceptions to the whole loyalty point (Gerrard, DiNatale) but I'm not going to lie, I've lost a significant amount of respect for Gotze.

If he had stayed and Dortmund had signed Dzeko and a midfielder, they would've been a legendary team.

Don't worry Dortmund, we know your pain.

Nick.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Di Natalie? Hasn't he moved around a few clubs? Or is it only considered lack off loyalty when u throw your toys out of the pram?

Every year that I see another team win the premier league, as we slip further away from the top of the table, I feel a burning desire to see us turn it around. Bayern Munich have just won the title in record style and now have added Gotze and there's talk of Lewandowski as well. United missed out on the title last season and added Van Persie and Kagawa, while each season we do the reverse best players go, but all summer long there's talk of big names coming. I understand that with the move to the Emirates came a knock on effect but surely we must be past that point by now?

I'm impressed by how this team has turned it around this season, we looked so far off 4th that it seemed an impossible task, but if we do get 3rd/4th that can't be enough, we haven't moved on from last year and we crashed out of the FA and Carling Cup, and I won't be patting Wenger, or the club on the back.

I don't want us to become like City or Chelsea where we just throw money at the problem, but we've gone to far the other way and this summer we must strengthen, we all know what is needed defensive midfielder, striker, winger etc. But what's different is that with the Emirates deal we know we have money so there can be no excuse for not reinvesting it in the club, it's also the last year of Wenger's contract, I really hope that all the talk of change with regard to spending is true. I don't expect Cavani, Falcao etc but there are some great players out there we can afford, Jovetic, Wanyama, Ruffier, Draxler etc, add that to the exciting players like Eisfeld we've got coming through.

I don't expect instant success but it would be nice if a champions league place seemed secured, and we had a really good cup run, and then we could move forward. Every Arsenal fan can see what the club needs, and the players that should be moved on, I hope Wenger and the Management will show a ruthless streak over the summer, paying what is need and closing deals to get the right players, while respectfully moving some players on and holding onto our key ones. I'm waiting with quiet expectancy for good things this summer and players to be added early, please don't let me down Arsenal. Until then let's finish strong get 3rd/4th and start by crushing United on Sunday.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree with the interest in players like jovetic and wanyama. Will it happen? its all about the money.

We could go after higuain, will we even ask?

I would be happy if we get Julio Ceasar and Corchia to cover the back. add miquel to the CB rotation and then add wanyama and Jovetic.

Ox, wilshere, Ramsey and wanyama need to play more. for me that is the midfield core.

adding jovetic will be a dream. and he maybe banging in 10-15 goals in italy, which is quite a defensive league to bang goals in. but i'm sure wenger can turn him into a 25 goal a season striker. He has world class potential.

in regards to sunday it depends. if we draw I will take that result. but knowing our players they will not even show up. the fulham display was a disgrace and the utd game will show we have no creativity. while they will carve opportunities for fun against us.

Even though gotze is a really good player we don't need him as we have wilshire who plays in his position. However we must look how bayern do thier business. Already got their main target signed, always looking to
improve thier squad even though they won thier leauge quite easily and another great champs leauge run. And showing ambition to be part of the elite European teams without man city money.

Arsenal take note

Noodles

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They have Kroos playing in that position but that did not stop them.

Agree0 Disagree0

People seem to always think just becasue he plays CDM he can't play CB or CM. players are professional they should be able to play anywhere. its not a video game.

Kroos will play in the middle, with muller on the right and gotze on the left, with a new striker upfront. and ribery and robben will either take a bench role or be sold.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Apr 2013 13:02:45
Now that Bayern are buying Mario Gotze to play the Iniesta role, Arsenal should move for Xherdan Shaqiri who is very similar and most likely will not see the playing time he wants. Bayern haave loads of midfielders who can play centrally like Kroos, Muller, Robben, Ribery, Gustavo, etc. Draxler and Eriksen would be nice creative midfielder options as well.

Ed why would Goetze have joined Bayern?

Yes they won the Bundesliga, but Dormund are right there, talent-wise. He was part of the youth programme and was a leader at Dortmund.

Not to mention all of the potential interest from abroad. I just can't make sense of his betrayal of Dortmund. {Ed001's Note - to work with Pep and earn ludicrous amounts of money while also adding lots of trophies to his cabinet.}

People forget RVP's background. Feijenoord shopped him around Europe before he joined us. He was a headcase, getting into fist fights with team mates, refusing to warm up. Wenger bought him for 2. 75m, he was a player that nobody, including fergie would touch. When he first arrived at arsenal he was still a headcase and eventually wenger and bergkamp civilised him. Then he spends the next 6 years on the treatment table earning millions without playing. Wenger never wrote him off and never replaced him when others would have. We built the team around him, gave him the armband worn by legends like Adams, Henry, etc. He throws it all back in our faces, tells us he's outgrew us (remember when you couldn't get a game ay Feijenoord robin?) And escapes through the back door whilst doing his best to weaken our negotiating position (only saved by wengersnegotiating ability). He shouldn't have joined utd, period. He shpuldnt have forced the move Like he did.

Classless is not the word. He deserves nothing but derision from gooners. Just wish we had tony Adams, David o'leary or even ray parlour on Sunday. They'd knock his block off.

don't expect wenger to set the world on fire this summer. it will be the same miserly manager, buying kids instead of world class talent, even though he has a decent budget. Personally I will be glad to see the back of him next summer. eight years with trophies is unexceptable. Wenger doesn't build team to challenge for the title, he builds team to get in the top 4. He doesn't seem to realise the Arsenal fans want him to make a statement this summer, even if he spends the whole budget on 2 players. Bayern have just signed Gotze, and we didn't even bid, even though he could afford to. I hate the summers cause we do naff all. Get Usmanov in Board out and wenger out. I WANT MY ARSENAL BACK

Relatively new to supporting Arsenal about 15 years or so and for the life of me I don't remember Arsenal as a big spender. enlighten us?

Note how a club came met Gotze clause and gave him a vision of their future and he's gone.

its now very likely one of Ribery or robben or both will be leaving this summer.

shame wenger takes 5 years to scout a player. its as if he can't make up his mind, and bam pep comes in. points his finger at who he wants and he's gone.

in a way we save ourselves from gotze rumours for the entire summer. and i'm quite sure pep will have a few more up his sleeves. buy first sell later.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good luck to Goetze. To be honest I was not over-impressed with him. I would like to see us sign a couple of tall tough central midfield players, such as Fellaine & Wanyama (spelling?). In previous successful teams we had the likes of Petit, Gilbert to fill these positions.

Agree0 Disagree0

Also a few sources claimed after utd won the title, the board members and wenger were out on the emirates pitch sliding and punching the air and chest bumping each other for the 1.5 mill they will receive in add ons.

i don't know why you hate van persie so much he LOVED you guys and probably still does. yes he moved and yes to a rival team but he loves the english game and wanted to win things so he had to move. I wouldn't say that was his fault he played rteally well last season and single handedly got you into the champ league. Not winning things was down to the management and board so it was inevitable he would have to leave to win something. In order to turn things around there needs to be a policy change throughout the club and then maybe you will get back into your winning ways and players won't have to leave to win things and to fulfill their ambitions.

The reasons why I hate rvp is

for 7 seasons he was constantly injured when most clubs would sell him we kept him and for the first time in his career he has an injury free season and then just leaves

he went to Manchester United
are captain are leader joins are biggest rivals whilst doubling his salary

his comments throughout the seasons

after signing giroud podolski and cazorla things were looking great then he left

I'm sorry but Van Persie is by FAR the best striker in the league all he wanted (same with Fabregas/Nasri) was our club to show some ambition and to spend some money on some world class players but our club said no and cashed in and replaced them with maybe good players but no WORLD CLASS players not even Cazorla is what I would call a world class player he is a class player but not a world class player and that is what is wrong with Arsenal we should t be saying to sign Jovetic/Draxler we should be signing Benzema/Götze that is the only way we will EVER be near the heights of Man united. I hope the club see Man United winning the league and say "let's spend some money"

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree with you I hate the fact RVP joined united but we would all have been happy had he gone abroad and won something. People say we have strengthed our rivals I am sorry Man U are not our rivals we are a long way behind them at this current time, they know to achieve great things you need to spend big something that has to be addressed if we want to CHALLENGE

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sorry but that is not a valid excuse we had a great team but fabregas nasri and clichy left that's hard to recover from but the following summer we signed podolski giroud and carzorla
the team should of been
szcesney
sagna mertsacker koscielny gibbs
song wilshere
carzorla
walcott rvp podolski

bench fabianski jenks veramelen arteta chamberlain giroud ramsey

that would of argubaly been good enough to win the league its not so much signing the world class players its about keeping them

Mario Gotze has agreed to join Bayern Munich next season on a 3 year deal worth 115k a week. Fee is worth 31 million euros. though it never seemed promising he'd join us. there was always that slimmer of hope that he would. shame that we won't see him in the premier league any time soon.

I feel truly depressed today. Not so much because Van Perise was sold to united. but for what it represents.

United's owners trying as hard as they can to please their fans and compete to their highest potential

Arsenals owners being greedy business men that call us brats when we complain that they show no passion for glory

I don't get why every gooner at the game doesn't start chanting for the board to leave or better yet boycott the games

Hi mates. Tough day to be a gooner. So Wenger this summer if you think you can win anything with Giroud, Gervinho and the rest of the overpaid persons you can start packing your bags. I'm sick of this s***. Congratulations, you just won the title for the red persons. If you or the board showed some balls and kept Van Persie, show him who's the boss, you decided to offload him to United. To ****in United. Thing is for us the gooners outside UK, there's no Tottenham. It's mostly United, than few Arsenal, fewer Liverpool and almost none of the spuds. Almost every one of my mates are Utd fans

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree. Fudge the board and sometimes I even wanna say Fudge Wenger. what is Arsenal about?! Do they even give a flying crap about competing for the league any more?!

low standards for a declining club

I hate the stereotype that non-local fans aren't proper supporters. Most of them are a credit to the club. But this post is such crap and exemplifies the worst type of fan. The ignorant. How can you continue to slate Giroud?! Also what choice did we have with RvP. He more or less went on strike over a move to United. He didn't want to go elsewhere.

Every player wants to win things, and RVP is a world class player with nothing to really show for his time at Arsenal. He is nearly thirty and probably thought exactly what a lot of people are saying on here, that things in the club have to change. As soon as the final whistle blew last night, I switched channels, its not right seeing RVP celebrate in a Utd shirt. Hopefully what Ed02 said about changes at the Emirates comes true very soon.

fact of the matter is the striker/ goalscorers/ impact players we want will not replace the striker/goalscorer/impact player we had.

My personal list in terms of how much of an impact and the big game performances aswell.

1) Messi
2) Ronaldo
3) Falcao
4) Aguero
5) Ibrahimovic
5) Cavani
6) Van persie
7) Suarez
8) Bale
9) Wayne Rooney
10) Benzema
11) Mandzukic/Gomez
12) Neymar
13) Balotelli
14) Lewendowski
15) Jovetic/ Higuain

are we going to get any of these guys?

i would probably call Jovetic a top 15 player. but that is only because of his world class potential, however there are no guarantees.

If I was wenger, I would try to take a striker from Madrid or Bayern and tempt them with a starting position. however its unlikely that he will even buy a striker and its likely we will buy another cheap winger. and have a rotation upfront of wally, giroud and poldi.

@mhc - he's been injured. but he has turned up for the big games and delivered & the goal against utd shows the quality of player that he is.

@ Wimslow - I didn't want to write a list of 30 strikers/ impact players. I just ended it there. and no I don't think yilmaz is better.

@anon - Di maria & Ozil have had amazing season but I wanted to put more of a goalscorer who is a impact player. also the two of them had a bad first half of the season. and now seem to be on some sort of MUSHROOM trip.

Bayern have triggered Goetze's release clause which is about €37m. Looks like it's just a trick to rattle Dortmund before their semi-final against Madrid but you never know. Might be relevant for those who think we actually have a chance of getting him.

Hi lads! Been having a think of what our squad could and should look like for next year.

Begovic
Jenko Kos Verm Nacho
Wanyama
Wilshere (C) Cazorla
Walcott Ox
Jovetic

Subs:
Szczesny, Gibbs, Arteta, Ramsey, Podolski, Giroud, Mertesacker

Reserves: Rosicky, Coquelin, Miquel, Bellerin, Eisfeld, Gnabry, Martinez

This is my personal opinion. I feel that this squad has a good amount of depth, however I only feel we will be able to land these signings if we manage top four, especially Jovetic.

I feel that Vermaelen and Koscielny are the best pairing of centre halves, especially if we have big Vic in the defensive midfield role who will provide the bully in the midfield who we really need to help break up play and win those important tackles that leave our defence so vulnerable.

Another problem which may occur would be all of the midfield options, who would we leave out? I feel that either Arteta or Rosicky would feel that they have to leave, which is disappointing as they are both quality and we really need to keep Ramsey.

The inclusion of Jovetic will definitely mean that Giroud wouldn't get much playing time, unless the formation changed so we played more of a 4-4-2 with him playing off Jovetic. However, I'd like to see the 4-5-1, with Jovetic and then a fit and firing Lukas Podolski competing for the same position.

I'd love to see Wilshere captain next year, would give him such a massive lift and it would reward him for being such an inspiration and providing much needed motivation in a very lacklustre side during these past few seasons.

We need to get rid of some dead-wood too; Arshavin, Squillaci, Sagna and Gervinho, I'm not too sure whether the last two will be going but I do hope so.

Then finally, I'd like to see Eisfeld and Gnabry a chance to be within the first team, these young talents are the future of our great club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mertesacker is our best cb by a long shot. Kos and Per are the best pairing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would definitely start Pod instead of either Ox or Theo. I might start Giroud over them too.

I'm not sure over our best CB pairing - probably is Mert and Kos.

I actually love your team!

Getting tired of seeing our stars that we created go and win trophies somewhere else. Especially when its a rival club.

At least this season we don't have many players that are at that level. Wilshere won't go, Cazorla just got here, Walcott just put pen to paper, Vermaelen said he won't go, Sczcesny said he wants to stay and win things at Arsenal.

But I won't lie, when I saw Van Persie score that volley, I felt like throwing up.

Selling the title to Utd hurts so much. If we don't win on Sunday I think I'll lose faith in Arsenal. I'm not being fickle but after watching arsenal since I was 4 (back in 1998) its pains me to see what has happened to our club. I've survived losing the final to Barca. I've survived 8 years without a throphy. Don't know if I can do it any longer.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You've survived nothing then. Try supporting the club for over 26yrs.

There's been SEVERELY Worse times, than this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Season ticket holder here. First visit to Highbury aged 6 in 1952! We have had worse teams than today's squad, but the propaganda given to fans when the decision for the Emirates was taken, and then the subsequent seasons' performances has just not been good enough. I think the "Old Guard" at the top have let us down. They probably think that by "giving" us a new stadium, that this will satisfy the fans. Never mind team performance or winning trophies. "Arsene Knows". No he doesn't! He doesn't know how I feel today, after 61 years of obsession with Arsenal. Seeing the Dutchman hammer a hat -trick and notching up another title for That club. We need to really ramp up the noise level and atmosphere on Sunday and show the Mancs that we can offer a response and send a signal for next season. Hey Ho! ever optimistic.
