Use our rumours form to send us arsenal transfer rumours.

23 Jan 2014 22:57:55
The German press are starting to release the following information;
1. Arsenal have made an offer of Euro 45m for Draxler to invoke the release clause in his contract
2. Arsenal negotiators are to discuss terms with the player tomorrow
3. Podolski is of to Schalke as part of the transfer
4. Draxler is reportedley very keen to sign

If we get draxler i'm giving up my dry january and sinking a pint

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why would we possibly want to get rid of Podolski, but more importantly a striker. Sorry, this I dont believe

Agree0 Disagree0

A player may arrive! But none shall be allowed to leave or have any wish to do so

Agree0 Disagree0

Me thinks, you might have had a pint or two already.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Draxler's release clause is not active until the summer, so what you're saying is highly unlikely.

I think we have a good chance of signing him in the summer, but not this Jan.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Forget about "release clauses".}

So I see your post further down page laker, remind since fergie only gets credit because of the class of 92 and othr tripe, remind please who was the last before Wilshire and Cole u brought through your famed academy? Yes I no there is a few but I would suggest your total is not even half as many as United
I no will will prob name me countless youth products u have brought through your famed youth academy and played a big part in your squad u no much like fletcher, Brown, o'shea, evans etc, then maybe u could tell me the ones who were deemed not good enuff that went on to forge themselves a decent career in football, u no much like bardsley, Higginbotham, Pilkington, shawcross etc.
Once again i'm staggered at your red tinted glasses mate, u seem to only ever have an opinion negative about rival clubs but when it comes to your precious arsenel everything is hunky dory.
Much like that silly person u have posting atm in vally gooner who I must say is very quick off the mark to call us a bigger joke than his own club lol I mean come on the season is half way through and imo u will finish 3rd, while I see us finishing 4th at least, wow just imagine that vally, after all that talking u only finish a place above us and 3rd overall in a league where the top clubs are all in major change? We will still be a bigger joke than arsenal?

Onto money really with 13 PL medals since 92 and 2 champions leagues a few league cups and fa cups I would say it is money well spent imo and peanuts compared to the sugar daddy clubs and this while servicing a huge debt placed upon us by our owners to buy the club u all like reminding us about, maybe the real question would be why wenger continues to allow u to stay un competitive. Maybe its all the arsenal hating media like cross or Law, oh wait ever newspaper I pick up cross may aswel rename his articles me thinks.

Ure club I must add always does act with a respectful and dignified manner it seems, Suarez apart, shame its fans like vally and laker that dnt follow suit hey.
Oh well every club has them I suppose.
Anyeayst u get my point, u are a club by no means

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well that was good CTR. Give yourself a round of applause. U have misquoted everything I said and missed all the points like every other united fan. I said we didn't have a DECLINE as quickly as you have. We went unbeaten. Following season we finish 2nd and won the F.A cup. Vieira penalty? I'm sure u remember that! Uve gone from champions to awful in 6 months! Can u see why I'm calling you a joke at the minute?.

Agree0 Disagree0

UTD got extremely lucky with the 'class of 92' or whatever it was. Many teams have had successful youth/local set-ups. Celtic had a set-up of young-ish Scotsmen, born within a limited amount of miles from Celtic Park. Athletico Bilbao, untill recently, have only ever signed young players of Basque origin whilst keeping their morals.

You cannot say UTD's youth set-up is any different from most of the more well-off teams, most take players from all over England and the rest of the UK and give them a chance. UTD got lucky, a one off, like few before.

You talk about your money well spent compared to the doe the 'sugardaddys' or 'oligarchs' spend on these plastic clubs, but you forget, UTD have spent some of the biggest transfers in the leagues history. 30 mill for Rio almost 10 years ago? Almost 30 for an unproven 18 year old Rooney? Veron, Anderson, Nani, and many, many others. You have spent 100's of millions just taking punts on players. You were the first, maybe not as bad as the one's we see now, sugardaddy club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Since gaining academy status in 1997 some major arsenal graduates:

Ashley cole
Stuart Taylor
Jay Borthroyd
jermaine pennant
jeremie aliadiaire
steve sidwell
David Bently
justin Hoyte
Seb Larsson
yohann Djouru
Cesc Fabregas
NICKLAS BENDTNER (:O)
fabrice muamba
anthony stokes
matt connonly
Kieran Gibbs
Wojciech szczesny
nacer barazite
fran merida
armand traore
kyle bartley
connor henderson
jack wilshere
manu frimpong
alban bunjaku
james cambell

all the players I have named have played in the top flight (of the main 5 nations being england, spain, germany, italy and france)

and I have left out some of the more recent ones who are at championship clubs causing a ruckus like Henri lansbury.

not much of a failure, but I see your point about us not utilizing our academy graduates enough.

i really wish that we'd taken stick for many years for not having silverwear and giving youngsters a chance.

How AWESOME would it be to have been branded a paedo for using youngsters in a team, the for that team to have a decent young squad and their 'failures' go on to have successful careers in football. man I wish that was us.

Oh and that was up to 2011 btw, so no mentions of gedion, chuba, tomas and serge

Arsenal are to release information on something on Monday Afternoon. A special media conference has been set up for some important information, maybe regarding a new signing. Any news on that Ed?

{Ed027's Note - Puma, the club hope to announce a few contract extensions soon

Honestly believe we're going to sign draxler this month. After the ozil signing anything is now possible. Buy him now. Don't want a summer auction

Ok guys and girls. Another devils advocate question:

Sign Draxler for £37m or Ross Barkley for £20m (ish).

Both hugely talented players of similar position age etc

Barkley has been tipped for the very top. English, strong, powerful and has already shown he can cut it in the premier league. Scored some wonder free kicks and goals from open play. Injuries aside, a cert for England squad at the World Cup. Would join up with several English and British players at Arsenal. We could have a Barcelona (predominantly Spanish) squad or a Bayern Munich (predominantly German) teams which in a non xenophobic way just feels me with even more pride. Barkleys value and ability would only rise.

Draxler is probably at least £10m more expensive but could potentially be a better player dare I say it? He's also tall, strong and with an eye for goal. Not tested in the premier league but getting valuable champions league experience. Something Barkley is yet to have. Draxler would join an ever growing list of Germans at the Emirates. Another cert for the World Cup. His price and ability is only going to improve.

Who would you choose and why?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would go Berkeley
Home grown so would open us other aves for future signings, has all the potential to be THE best England player of a generation a tittle jack might want to dispute with him on a daily basis as the years go buy, plus if you can buy British and get value why buy from abroad

Agree0 Disagree0

Draxler every time for me, as he is what we need at the moment.

Has the potential to be a huge world class player. Can play left or right but Wenger wants to play him down the middle. Has 2 great feet and a shot like a cannonball, as opposed to Giroud who has a shot like Cannon and Ball (only joking).

Barkley will be a great player but reminds me too much of Wilshere.

Agree0 Disagree0

See I think Barkley would be the better option all round. Don't get me wrong, Draxler will be quality but I think Barkley could be amazing for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great question.
I would have to go with Barkley, he just seems to be shaping in to the perfect all round midfielder, and not one who is just adequate in different parts of the midfield but an absolute beast all over it . With him Jack Rambo and the boy Dan Crowley coming through we would have an amazing British core for year's to come.

Agree0 Disagree0

Draxler every time

I know wenger has said were not close to signing anyone or will only make a signing if someone exceptional comes available but I think he's got something up his sleeve but doesn't want to get anyones hopes up what do u think

After many a transfer window refreshing news feeds and pulling my hair out I have given up on guessing on what Wenger will do tbh, he will either buy or he won't but either way I will get behind him and the team, that said bring on Draxler COYG!

What points return would you want want from liverpool, united & city? For me 7 points would be huge. Think 5 is more realistic tho

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would straight up expect 9

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree valley G. 7 would be great, but I don't think 5 will be a complete disaster either.

Agree0 Disagree0

9 for me.
Payback wins against city and utd, and a win vs liverpool whom I feel are going to buckle this month.
We want to win the league we need 9pts.

Agree0 Disagree0

5 would be very disappointing.
Surely we have to think we can beat UTD
As for city? What are we saying, we can't beat the really top teams even at home
Liverpool away? Defeat would be gutting, draw a very decent result, a win would be brilliant as surely to got to Anfield against a very good Liverpool has to be the toughest of the three.
The truth is we could lose all three and at Chelski too and still be champions if we keep beating The rest, but I think we are much better than that

Agree0 Disagree0

We want to win the league? minimum 7 points.

Agree0 Disagree0

As many as possible, but a draw against each keeps our advantage against each, even if we drop against the other two. If you follow. So 3 points is minimum required **if it is a draw against each**; but 7 is what we comfortably need IMHO.

This is not football related. I would just like to say this about this site. May be a bit obvious but anyhow. I believe what makes this Arsenal site a pleasure to use apart from people's mixed opinions is the fact that this season I can only recall maybe two posts where somebody didn't agree with someone and made their post personal to the poster. So far since last summer and the beginning of the season started everybody on here has come over like a good mate and also I would like to include the Eds in this post too who have gave this site errr dare I say it a " Homely" type of place to be involved in. I'm very fortunate as I have a family round me but for people that haven't I could well imagine that being involved in reading and making posts on here would be a feeling of belonging to something. So I would like to say keep it up everyone and well done to the Eds once again.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Victoria Concordia Cresit golds!

class and togetherness is what arsenal stand for mate, once a gooner always a gooner.
i also think arsene has rid the current team of almost all their mercenaries,

ooh to be, ay? :D

Agree0 Disagree0

Good post Mate Rangers & Arsenal fan here. My Team Rangers probably have the most split support in the world at the moment between Ally McCoist haters & Ally McCoist Backers we have so much problems that we just can't keep up our Boards a disaster and it shows on our banter/rumours page. We cannot agree on anything apart from that the board needs to go yet we can't stand as one and run them out any idea gets rubbished instantly. Recently I have just stopped going on our site because it's constant abuse to just about any post at the moment. So I visit this one more often & have a peek on Chelsea & Man Utds those 2s sites are the worst honestly who would be an ED for these lunatics every single post is Ed are we going for? Ed how much would he cost? Ed do you know if were interested in? Ed Ed Ed E. I'd crack up if this was my own support I understand the Eds are very knowledgeable & have some great info but they have a life and there job is not appreciated enough so Great Work by you guys. That's what sets this site the Rangers & Celtic sites apart from the rest we actually discuss things amongst each other threads actually last with SOME good conversations and ideas it makes the site so much more fun. I hope you guys will be happy to have much more of me on here because I have had a great Love for Arsenal for as long as I can remember it may not be in my blood as that runs Blue but I would love to get involved more on the site as it's a great one.
I guess what I'm trying to say is Ed what's the Chances of Draxler coming in before the end of the Window? Lol Cavani? No. Ok!

Banter -

Can mata transfer spark a transfer merry-go-round?

In a perfect world:
Mata -> man utd
Kagawa -> Schalke
Draxler -> ARSENAL!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Draxler wants to move, Schalke are willing to sell, and wenger says no deals likely.

Poker master returns. just pay wenger, forget the poker.

i got a pokemon game you can play. similar

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha Lakerville the pokermon comment really tickled me.

but agreed, potentially we'll sign nobody, potentially Wengers trying to avoid a bidding war again.

One thing is for certain, knowing arsenal, if its happening, itll happen on the 31st

Agree0 Disagree0

I think jose and mancini played that game too much, arsene went all hipster on that front,

*arsene voice* 'collec' dem all?' no'

23 Jan 2014 13:08:56
I also think Jay Rodriguez would be a great cheeky signing this January. He would suit the freeform moves up front, and his face would fit the squad. I can see him mixing it with Wilshere Rambo Oz and former saint Ox. Often big name signings can shake up a team in form, but this could be a great move for the forward, he would add more to his game and to the team. I doubt he would put Giroud off his stride either and would offer great options here. Logically a sound Jan transfer surely.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Southampton are a club in a strong financial position currently though. Although the effects of the chairman leaving remains to be seen, i'd be suprised if they let one of their prized assets leave for anything other than serious money (20mil+).

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodriguez is no better than Podolski.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2014 12:37:09
I don't claim to be in the know or anything special for that matter, this is just my 10p worth again.

With the current squad as harmonious as it appears to be I can't see a lot of activity in the transfer market happening in jan at all.

Draxler in the summer I would say is our most likely purchase. Large potential and an easy mould to a forward.

Sanogo is coming fit and from what I've seen his movement and link up play are his strong points, along with his areal ability. i'd expect him to take the reins should giroud become injured.

Poldi despite being a club gem is a direct player by nature. The sort that will get chucked on when we need a goal on 70mins IMO. I can't see his role at the club changing greatly.

In summary, draxler if Wengers hand is forced otherwise maybe the odd 12yo wonderkid that's about it.

Just got to say this about last nights penalty shoot out Manchester United v Sunderland. 10 penalties 7 missed! . Don't get me wrong I've played football too, but let's have it right that's a discrace and an insult to any working man that has to slog his guts out for a fraction of what these players get in a day. These men get the best medical care, best diets, best training, fantastic salaries, and a dream life to millions of fans . For them to put on a display like that from 12 yards makes me wonder what fans are paying for sometimes . Think about it a 75% FAILURE RATE . And just in case anyone thinks I am anti Utd and Sunderland it was Arsenal putting in a show like that I would have been twice as hard on here. If I were paying their wages I would be thinking of a way to cut their money down by 50% to liven their ideas up a bit. Unbelievable!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I posted last night it was dire and for all the top pro's at United to stand there and let Jones, Rafael and Adnan take them was spineless.

No wonder they're in so much 5h1te.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with Code Zero.

The big name players who decided not to take penalties should take a long hard look at themselves. They not only let down their club but the fans.

Not a fan of Man U in any way, shape or form but you have to feel with the players who missed and anger towards any of their big names bottling it.

Think this shows how far the mighty have fallen

Wenger said in his press conference that we don't look to sign anyone, even going as far as saying Draxler does not interest him. I know Wenger has a reputation for talking rubbish but does anyone else think our position may have gotten to him a bit? I like Wenger but we could really do with a decent Striker/Winger and possibly a RB to concrete our potential as title contenders. Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

All I would say is this. How many times has arsene said he isn't close to signing players or no one is coming in then bang i.e santi and pod

Agree0 Disagree0

. and how many times have you heard Wenger saying he's not close to signing players and it turns out he was telling the truth?!

After watching the shocker yesterday, and following the talks**te radio driving in to work, I could not understand the words coming from the Manchester United fans and their obvious secret celebrity broadcasters.

"UTD must spend 100 million after mata to get back to the standard, Arsenal, Chelsea, City are in"

So it got me thinking. Besides Ozil and the 42.5 odd million, who else cost big bucks?

City bought negredo, Navas, Jovetic, fernandinho - 84 million.

Chelsea bought - Matic, willian, Schurlle, Van ginkel - 67 million

Man utd bought Fellaini + now mata - 64 million.

So here we are, a club that bought one superstar, and in the process created another in Aaron Ramsey, and now jack wilshere. A club where we have been selling our best players to our main league rivals, perhaps because we do not have so called unlimited funds.

Everyone questions why we don't win things, with a net spend under 80 million in the last decade, while utd, liverpool and tottenham have a net spend over 200 mill, and city and chelsea over 480 mill.

*I have taken the Ozil transfer into consideration just to make it a higher figure.

So not many in the media like Arsenal, or Arsene Wenger, the fact he has revolutionised English football since he came, or the fact he brought in Strict Diet programmes and medical exposure to implement with our facilities which have been a model to the other clubs, although out of irony we suffer the most injuries.

Who knew of thierry henry, bergkamp, viera, before wenger made them who they are today, legends in the game, how about cesc fabregas, or wilshere, or ramsey or gnabry or ox ( verdict still out on last two)

add many more names to that list.

fergie gets praise for having the class of 92, and who else exactly has been there at man utd? veron, berbatov, bebe, macheda, obertan, anderson, nani, cleverly, zaha, rafael, fabio, welbeck. I mean the list could go on.

besides Ronaldo, who was a beast since he was 14, and improved under fergie, mainly because he was that good, who has fergie moulded? the question should be who has he bought.

Trophies just mask the ultimate objective of football, the pure thrill of having something from the ground up, perhaps manchester utd did not need that, as they picked up trophies, perhaps chelsea or city did not need that as they could buy anything they pleased.

but for Arsenal, we needed every avenue we had, from the scouting of talent in the most unheard of leagues, to promoting talent from an academy which was under used. Here we are 18 years later, a new stadium, generating players of high calibre, the Arsenal calibre, the Arsenal way.

There is a sense of pride in being an Arsenal fan, and there is a sense of belonging, we are the underdogs, we embrace the tag, and we will fight with what we have.

For me a trophy would be justified at the end of the season, perhaps luck and destiny have other plans for us, but going with the theme, Wenger has made us live by.

We do not need to think about RVP, we do not need to think of Nasri or Clichy, or Cesc or whoever else deserted us. Good luck to you all.

We got Wenger, many still doubt him, but for someone who has had a net spend clubs can only envy, kept rebuilding time and time again, as others poached our stars away, while we kept picking up a trophy others ridiculed us of, here we are top of the league with only one buy, and Manchester United fans, for your sake let's hope mata can do something about that trophy you ridiculed us of loving.

Victory through Harmony. let's do this

Lakerville,

Truly great post and a theme close to my heart, some of our fans (not many) don't understand or appreciate what Arsene has done and achieved for this club. The majority of opposing fans truly don't have a clue and those at United the most uneducated of all.

A genuinely great guy who I wouldn't swap for any other manager past or present. He has brought his beliefs, his style, his way and stuck by them and us.

I wish he was 43 not 63 and he could reap the rewards his hard work has achieved for another 20.

I am massively proud to be a Gooner and everything about our fans and our club. As Golds said earlier, this is a great page with honest genuine people and opinions, all of us with our feet firmly on the ground and when one of the young guns comes through we don't jump on the world class band wagon. We wait watch and enjoy them as they develop.

What ever the seasons brings for us it will have been a wonderful one with a new belief for the next season and the seasons after.

Nice on Laker, bloody nice one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brilliant post laker. Just make u realise how key wenger is to everything. Hopefully we can kick on after signing ozil and sign another 2 world class players. Then we will have a squad to challenge on all fronts, especially this the age of our team There will be no repeat of united

Agree0 Disagree0

That s some passion and pride speaking Lakerville. Well said.

Read somewhere this week that Arsenal has developed more players playing in the 'Big 5' European top divisions across Europe than any other team - I mean outside the ones we kept for ourselves -:).

Agree0 Disagree0

I won't lie, reading this post and the responses made me tear up a little lol. It just rings so true, great post brother.

I remember Wenger saying during a press conference over the summer before we signed anyone, the press were asking him ridiculous questions and trying to put him on the spot. He replied:

"You will miss me when I'm gone."

I sure as hell will. Legend.

Peace,
Trinidad-Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Guys, but going with the theme,

also read that after todays deloitte standings and arsenal have dropped to 8th from 6th.

while Real, Barca, Bayern, Man Utd, PSG, City, Chelsea are above us, we have mainly sustained our spot behind chelsea without much commercial revenue, and in the years to come we will be even bigger once that kicks in.

PSG have an annual commercial tie up with Qatari Tourism for 160 million, while City have a 40 million a year deal with Etihad ( way to use your own govt to cheat FFP)

Sad that the world runs this way, but we are still there, doing things the right way and still making some noise.

Laker, that post was amazing.

If we were to lose the league by 1 or 2 points, which game would you look back on with the most regret? Home defeat to Villa or losing away to UTD?
It should be the villa game but the longer the season goes on the more not winning at old Trafford hurts.

We have come so far this season in not dropping points against the smaller teams, now all we have to do is lose our premier league big club meltdown syndrome.

Do that and the future really is exciting

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree. But the 'meltdown' you refer to nags horribly at me. Is it mainly psychological. Got some massive games coming up and worry that we could be knocked off our stride (though we managed to ride a little storm recently). Are we lacking a bit of belief when we play teams with a big reputation?

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2014 12:17:36
It bugs me too G62, we had that illness on the day and lost Mert, Ramsey and Ozil were sick, those and the RVP thing was why we lost it.

Made all the more annoying watching the smaller clubs take it to them and Chelsea toying with them last week.

I see a different us now and feel we will not lose again this season to City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton and certainly not United or spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

OT was the kind of thing that happens. I'd like the City game back. That was just wrong.

23 Jan 2014 08:25:51
Alright chaps.

Been a while since I posted on here, been busy as hell with Uni.

Anyways I wanted to give my opinion on our link with Julian Draxler. According to most news sources we have people in Germany today to tie up a deal something like £20 million plus Podolski. Honesty I think that at the moment this is quite a shoddy bit of business on our part. Draxler is another attacking mid who can also play on the wing.

WE HAVE AN ABUNDANCE OF PLAYERS LIKE THAT! We really don't need another. As far as wingers go we may have lost Theo but the Ox is back and Gnabry is looking to be another quality spot by Wenger and our youth scouts and I would hate to see him drop to the bench now.

Also Podolski has been looking class since he came back from injury, I didn't rate him too highly after his first season but now that he's not an instant starter it's really given him a kick up the backside and stepped his game up and he's been a fantastic impact sub since returning from injury. I think it would be a big mistake getting rid of him at this stage in the season for another Wilshere/Ozil/Cazorla/Rosicky type player.

We need a striker and a back up CB more than anything now, and though I'm happy to hear that we are really trying to do business to sure up all areas of the pitch, the fact our strongest link is for the wrong type of player, class as he may become in the future, is pretty frustrating.

Anyone else agree?

Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

23 Jan 2014 09:36:12
I would say it's extremely unlikely we will buy a top top striker and the search for back for Giroud seems a difficult one so I would take Draxler in a heart beat. I said it before and if our attacking mids can make up the goals that Giroud misses then I'm happy.

He has massive potential and the kind of player Rosicky is for us now and a great replacement when he calls it a day.

Wouldn't like to see the Pod go and would be surprised if Arsene included him in any deal. Not the kind of thing he does.

The main thing is we are improving quality everywhere and once players come to the end of their careers with us we can now replace with the top end of quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm with you code. Pod is tops on and off the pitch. Part of the family. Reminds me of rosicky even though injured always positive that's what a club needs shout out to diaby too it's been a rough ride lad but kudos brother on your wage stance. puts certain turncoat individuals to shame. I personally can not handle the taste of bile so can't bring myself to type names. We all know, let's group for the rest of the season show faith even if wenger does not sign players in jan and get behind our lads we can do this. Cov tmrw let's march on.

Totally agree. I see myself as the weird but slightly amusing Uncle who dresses in woman's clothing that you see every Christmas, but never allow in the kitchen. I don't get it, you burn down three kitchens and you start to get a reputation. Love to all the family members.

So what I'm reading is wenger was in Spain watching barca v levante game. So all the players mentioned to be scouted were barca players.
Couldn't it be he was scouting a levante player I.e.: Ruben Garcia who we were linked with in the summer?
P.S. How many people would take vela and griezman? Have matured into great players IMO and fit in with our philosophy perfectly, quick, good movement, team effort and flexible. Can play anywhere across the front effectively too. What do you think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I was told its sergi Roberto, I hope not we have enough midfielders.
I would take griezman or tello

I'd love to see Vela back in an Arsenal shirt, with he way he's playing now. We sold him for next to nothing and he looks class now. I'm pretty sure we may have put in a buy back clause when we sold him. I certainly hope so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes C I gooner, I do believe there is a buy back clause.

16 games to go.

Can we win it? Why not.

We need to keep playing as a unit, like we have all season. Not since the Invincibles of 2004 have I seen us play with such belief, camarardarie and team spirit.

Our defence has been superb, we have conceded 19 goals and if you take away the Etihad blip, we have conceded 13 goals in 21 games, amazing.

Sczezny has been superb, not only has he upped his own game but he seems to be marshalling those in front of him, he is doing what all good keepers should do, he is commanding his area.

Gibbs, superb. Monreal, when playing, superb. Kos and Mert, mega superb. Best centre back pairing in prem. Sagna, suberb.

Collectively, immense.

Wilshere. We need him to perform bigtime. He was in Fabregas's shadow in the early days, he has now matured and can be the catalyst for whatever happens in remainder of season.

Ozil. Divides opinion in my opinion. Can be great, can be not so great. WE don't necessarily need him to score goals but we need his ability to assist.
World class? Ask me next season and I can give you a more definite opinion.

Cazorla, Ramsey, Rosicky, Flamini, Arteta. All have a massive part to play. All brilliant players and all have made a significant contribution to our cause this season.

Collectively? Best midfield I have ever seen at Arsenal and I have supported them for over 40 years.

Giroud? You might as well call him Olly Marmite because you either love him or hate him. He suits our style of play, holds the line very well and brings the midfield into play.
Goals? not enough from him. he's not Suarez or Aguero but than again, Suarez or Aguero are not Olly Giroud either. Different types of strikers, but Olly suits our style of play.

Podolski. Love the guy and this guy could possibly win us the league. He is different from anything we have. He loves to have a pop at goal and scores his fair share.

Bendtner? With the absence of Walcott and the possibility of no new arrivals, this guy could also have a big say in what happens come may.

So, collectively. Very happy with our results/performances so far.
We need to stick together, fight for each other and keep playing as a unit.

Just my opinions.
