I guess that's the difference between a winning and losing mentality, champions keep going even when not playing well and down to 10 men while those who are use to losing accept what they've become to feel is inevitable.
You can critise the players the manager but you can't question the German football mentality that seems to always be there.

I thought he was one of Germany best players in the first game and his drop in form for Arsenal coincided with Sanchez leaving and having to accommodate playing with Aaron.
The two together means a drop in winning the ball back with both needing others to do that for them.
Too much of a good thing with both and a lack of graft which Sanchez always gave.

He has been pretty much mr untouchable for germany and arsenal gunner. His attitude needs a reinvention or else he will be yesterdays chip paper. It will be interesting to see how he responds to a bit of accountability.

I'm not against anyone having to prove themselves every time in every game they play mate.
Maybe Mesut did take his foot and mind off the gas with his new contract but equally his dip did happen when Sanchez and his work ethic both up and back left.

Well Steve mate no Mesut no change for Germany so far.
I think we will see him introduced pretty quickly in the second half if things don't change quickly.

Hello my friends, hope your enjoying the world cup. i'm not enjoying it so much, players get way too much time on the ball, it even made xhaka and shaqiri look like decent players, and the spin on the ball with xhaka hit it 9 times out of ten it goes in to row z.
Anyway they won't get that much time when they go back to club level.
You are making good Europa league signings I see, a few more now from Narnia and you will be in good order.

Trust me 12 me old mate champions league making up the numbers participation losses it's appeal as you will come to undrerstand once the novelty wears off, we was once like you in that respect.
The europa may not have the prestige of the champions league but for the likes of United it's better to be a Europa competitor than a champions league make weight that everyone finds amusing:-)
Leave the Reals Barcelona Bayern Juve and Liverpools of this world to fight out that one and embrace and enjoy the acceptance of your place in world football.

But he will see some splendid football this year especially in there two games against city then have the mouthwatering games against Liverpool, spurs and Arsenal and if he’s lucky may see Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, PSG andjuventus play! That is if they get drawn them in the groups! One thing is for sure it won’t be united playing expansive football because it’s no way Jose 😂.
