Use our rumours form to send us arsenal transfer rumours.

23 Mar 2015 19:11:13
We look so much more solid and mobile with the Gabriel/Kos partnership especially with Le Coq sitting in front of them.
April is going to be a very good test for us kicking off with a wounded Liverpool fighting for their CL lives, then away to big boy beating specialists Burnley followed by a semi final that will test our being hot favorite coping skill after Monaco mistakes and then ultimately the chavs test :-) oh how good would beating them feel?
Next month will say a lot about how much we've improved on all levels

Anyone else think le coq has been our player of the season since he came back, personaly I think we shouldn't sign a dm leave him have the job he's doing great, spend the cash on a world class striker

Believable1 Unbelievable0

23 Mar 2015 19:13:02
I agree mate, i say don't sign anyone for that position again and sign another attacking player u need really bad. Please do.

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Mar 2015 19:15:46
Absolutely no ones been better than him this year that's for sure, DM cover would be good but certainly not a replacement with Le Coq becoming an understudy.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Mar 2015 00:10:23
Chris,

Maybe we could sign ADM?

Or better still, a straight swap, him for Sanogo? :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Mar 2015 00:11:08
He's been top draw and has made the difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Mar 2015 03:04:33
I have been extremely impressed by Coquelin. I recall him signing as a youngster and thought at the time that he would make it. However, he looked poor for quite a time, with some very disappointing loans.
I would like to see us release Flamini & Arteta at the end of the season and bring in a top quality defensive midfield player to play alongside him at times and to rotate when only playing one defensive midfield player. My choice would be Schneiderlin, who would be ideal. We have young Bielik coming through, who could provide cover next season.

24 Mar 2015 09:32:46
Your points are becoming far more irrelevant by the day dags, is the pressure getting to u already? :)

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Mar 2015 11:53:01
Dags, I'd rather keep Sanogo!

Ed02 what is the latest on dybala? Any latest transfer news for arsenal? Thanx

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing since the rejected bid (nothing to do with Arsenal) last week.}

23 Mar 2015 17:46:54
Skrtel to possibly be charged by FA for challenge on DDG.

If found guilty, could miss Emirates match.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I don't think there is any doubt he is guilty, and that he is not a big loss, or even a loss at all. He should have been sold years ago when he threw his toys out of his pram because Liverpool turned down an offer from Citeh for him.}

23 Mar 2015 18:03:52
Well he secured a draw for 'pool against us earlier, I would say he is a key player

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he is not, honestly he is awful.}

23 Mar 2015 18:06:55
I will be pleased if he suspended, he is Liverpool's best centrl defender.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - hes a thug robbie, if he does play you will gain a lot of free kicks mate..

23 Mar 2015 18:12:44
I'm going to duck the one about him securing a point at Anfield

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - hahaha.}

23 Mar 2015 18:38:44
Not sure if pressed reply or close on my post. So I'll do another

Eds I believe he's a good player and there best defende . he's a loss for them of he's banned

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 21:04:57
Think he's poor, but still Liverpool's best CB. He's a loss, but if he was playing for any other team he wouldn't be.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 21:09:10
I hear you Ed but he always seems to do well against us mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 22:04:03
Hes juat lost his first game this year in the leagu . Can't be that bad surely. Did anyone else think agger went back to denmark to early? I thought he was a good defender

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 21:33:18
All that time in the SS stood him in good stead.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he does look that type. Plays about as well as a guy in hobnail boots as well. Awful defender, always drops off too deep and grabs and pulls in dangerous places. Far too rash as well. Oh and he has the communication skills of a deaf mute with no hands, only Agger has ever been able to work with him. One of the first players out of the door if I was in charge.}

24 Mar 2015 03:09:06
I am a bit shocked at the criticism of Skirtel, who has been Liverpool's most consistent defender this season and indeed scored the eqauliser against us at Anfield this season. I will be pleased if he is banned against us. Whilst on the topic, I thought sly Brendan Rodgers pathetic attempt to defend the player was embarrassing and I am pleased Skirtel was charged for the awful challenge on De Gea, which could easily have injured the player. It is also good that if banned, Skirtel will miss the tricky away FA Cup replay at Blackburn.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - consistently bad, Sakho is head and shoulders above him despite the idiocy in the media. In fact Can, who is a midfielder struggling at the back, has been better than him.}

24 Mar 2015 07:12:36
I'd take skirtel over sakho. Sakho is OK but has the ball control of a toddler

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - you obviously haven't watched him play then, he has very good ball control but always looks clumsy, like Crouch in that respect. Sakho is the one that ran it out of defence like a tricky winger when under pressure in the Swansea game and the United game. He played regularly at left back in the past due to having the ability on the ball to fit in there easily. Skrtel is the one that struggles on the ball, has no pace, struggles to pass it to a man on his team and is generally half the player that Sakho is.}

24 Mar 2015 10:00:32
Sakho does get away with it. Always has to sprint to catch his touch up. Good defender but he's a poot man varane and zoum .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - sorry but that is just not true. You haven't watched enough of him.}

24 Mar 2015 10:50:25
if he better than varane and zouma then i'm missing something. for me varane is the best of them. real need to play him or lose him simple.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - you obviously are. Varane is probably better now, Zouma is not yet as good. But you know so little about him you think he has to sprint to catch up his first touch, so it shows you are ignorant in this matter.}

24 Mar 2015 11:55:46
I can't tell if you're joking ed

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - then you need to try watching the player instead of believing the idiots in the media.}

24 Mar 2015 12:12:09
i do watch him eds. zouma i do rate, one we should of signed. he's got 5 years on sakho.

sakho is ok at the touch to stop the ball and a pass. anymore no

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - then you haven't watched him.}

24 Mar 2015 12:18:14
To all those saying Skirtel is Liverpools vest defender. Personally from what I've seen Liverpools current best defender is...Can, a central midfielder of all things. Think he's been a bit of a revelation in their system change this season.

Skirtel is a thug, which can be deceiving to some when watching centerbacks.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Mar 2015 14:31:54
Can is good but I think he'll always be a mid fielder. Very good signing

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Mar 2015 16:58:48
I wouldn't have said the idiots in the media particularly hype up Skrtel do they? I just think he's not your worst (I wouldn't necessarily want him at Arsenal - too many own goals for one aha) and that Sakho is definitely no Varane or Zouma but an expensive reliability.

I do watch the players to form my opinions and the beauty of opinions is that they can completely oppose each other even when two people are watching the same thing.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 12:51:38
Its been a strange season of very few sets of fans seeming to enjoy it anything close to totally.
We've had Arsene in/out gate and completely contrasting half's to the season.
Utd fans have been taking books and board games to matches to keep them awake.
City are mid two year meltdown with the nearly new manager preparing to make way for the ever so new one
Liverpool fans have gone from being totallly disillusioned to full of renewed hope and back again.
Spuds get to a final but lose so want the manager sacked, again :-)
Everton have gone from total disappointment oto being even more disappointed than they already were.
Even chavs who have won a trophy and have been top of the pile all season don't seem happy at all.
But good old Southampton fans who pre season had every reason to run away and join the circus seem to have enjoyed the whole season and smiled through out.
Its a funny old game.

Red Dog,

Here comes a hand grenade.

Do you all think we have missed Jack?

Me? Nope I don't think so.

Love his spirit, attitude and do or die style of play.

But, far too injury prone and unreliable in my opinion.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

23 Mar 2015 11:33:08
I think the first half of the season we did miss Jack simply because we had no Mesut Kos Ramsey or Olly but now? How could you fit him in!
This is my big fear that Arsene shows a loyalty to Jack Arteta and Theo that is detrimental to the team.
I know people said pre Christmas wait till we get our players back but I think that's only half the story because its Le Coq that has made the biggest single difference and driven our come back more than anyone.
Yes Giroud is in fantastic form as he has been for ages but Saturday at Newcastle we would have come away with a point in pre Le Coq days, chopping and changing to keep all happy would at some point mean playing without Coquelin and that's always likely to see us go back to dropping silly points again.
If Arsene trys to blend all his ingredients he will ruin the meal

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 11:42:41
Totally agree G62,

The annoying this is, we have been crying out for a DM for years, to compliment our more flair players.

Coq boy has made all the difference.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 12:05:54
Very true mate but he's here now and lessons have been learned (hopefully) its not forgetting them that's important now.
Chavs have used least players of all clubs this season and although they look a bit jaded and possibly a bit short now they have won the only trophy so far this season and are in poll position in the title race.
I think there's a lot to be said for that old saying of not changing a winning team mate

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 13:05:36
Not missed him in my view......as already said, where can he fit in? Apart from the bench

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 10:10:39
Personally I think chavs have been home and dry for ages in the title race and if we beat Liverpool and utd beat Villa that's the top 4 as good as sorted too.
Then if both us and Liverpool make it to the cup final that's also the 3 Europa league places as good as done and all with half a dozen games to go.
What will the pundits talk about to keep them busy! The up and coming thriller between Stoke v Newcastle that could prove vital in the battle for 12th place :-)
Theres a lot of its and maybe's in there I know and we could yet have squeaky bum time but the 2014/15 is in line for the earliest of early baths in history.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

23 Mar 2015 11:46:12
Still 24 points to play for G62.

You only have to have 3 or 4 bad games and find yourself being overtaken.

G62, unless you work on a farm or for KFC, stop counting your chickens lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 12:23:04
Very fair comment that mate but its a long way back for Liverpool if we beat them, but equally its game on again if they beat us of course.
But for the top half of the table at least it could be all over bar the shouting in record time this season with title top 4 and Europa all virtually decide with 5 to go or more.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 12:37:31
True mate,

The Pool game is a big one.

Proper old fashioned 6 pointer.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 14:03:49
the race for 4th could turn into the race for 3rd. i do not want a play off. have seeding rules changed?

could end up with atletico or florentina who are no mugs

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 18:11:18
Or 4th place trophy avoidance with 7 to go? Uncharted territory this people :-)

23 Mar 2015 09:51:55
Made love to Mrs Dags last night.

39 seconds. Get in there.

Gerrard, how stupid do you look now?

Oh, wait.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

23 Mar 2015 17:37:45
I still think it's crazy that they let you marry your Hoover...

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 06:26:36
Gerrard is banned and can't play against us. I wonder whether the FA will have the courage to ban Skirtel as well for the clear stamp on De Gea? Or will we get the usual excuse that the ref saw it and dealt with it?
Good result for us in the Liverpool v Man U match, as it leaves Liverpool 6 points behind us in 5th place. If we can beat them at home in the next match, a 9 point gap with 7 matches to go, will be extremely difficult to close.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

23 Mar 2015 07:05:39
Gutted Gerrard will miss out. We should appeal it

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 14:03:02
need to stamp them challanges out of football if possible

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Banbury, do you not just think it was overshadowed because this season has become a Gerrard farewell roadshow in the media? So his sending off has taken all the attention off Skrtel's disgraceful stamp and the woeful Liverpool performance.}

23 Mar 2015 15:14:24
You make a fair point Ed.

Reminds me a bit of the 'Adebayor goal celebration', which completely took the attention away from the fact City comprehensively beat us that day.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - the media are far too busy with fluff to see the big issues.}

23 Mar 2015 17:37:31
I agree ed and I can clearly remember u mentioning this fear a while back, quite how all the fanfare has continued when he has not been playing is crazy.

Well I've just seen skeletor banned for his stamp so that's good.

For the record mate I think u have been proved right in most u have said over the last 12 months regarding Liverpool. As always a level head from u and possibly a brown nose for me mate lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't think you are allowed to agree with me at the moment mate....}

23 Mar 2015 17:56:50
Lol I get ya mate. For the record I understand ure views on the game and can agree in large with your assessment of the game. I do disagree with a few points mate but that's football.

Also quite how some see skittles as your best cb is crazy. I would rather he not be banned lol I think that says it all.

Onto another point as u know I value ure input, where do u see Can playing once your teams personal is fit? I see him as a CM, but CB? I Don't get that, he can do a job there but I think u lose so much of his other attributes and gain nowhere near enough back from him there.
looks a real gem though him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - midfield for Can, defo. He is not a defender and he is struggling there. As for Skittles, I just don't rate him.}

23 Mar 2015 18:28:09
Thanks mate appreciated as always.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no worries mate. How is the little un doing now?}

23 Mar 2015 19:16:29
Really well thanks pal, had a bit of a illness over Xmas but for now we have to wait and see how he developes growing up. He seems fine to me but u are never 100% sure I guess and while there's doubt I'll always be on eggshells.

Appreciate you asking though mate, for a Liverpool fan u ain't that bad :)
