It must be difficult for you 12 mate, under Fergie you were THE team to beat every season that no one could move as the dominant force of English football where as now it seems no one can make you credible.
3 managers and so many millions later and you are still the team no one wants to watch and everyone likes to laugh at.
Liverpool are in the champions league final, Spurs are moving into thier new stadium, City are the new dominant force of the premier league Chelsea as everyone knows will be back in contention next season and now even Arsenal are changing but for United? There seems absolutely no way forward, more managers more money I'm sure will come and go but entertainment and competitiveness remain strangers at the theatre of memories.

Really excited by our new manager :
'I think the history here is a team who loves playing with possession of the ball. 'I like this personality, I like playing with the ball, if you don't have possession, I want a squad who are very, very intensive with pressing.
Sounds like he did a fantastic interview a few weeks ago, super detailed on every squad player and how he will develop them. Also discussed academy players in details. Pulled up videos etc.

Only concern was Arsenal's lack of budget and expectation for next season as they haven't defined their targets yet. Just improve on last year.
Anyway - super excited and hopeful for the future.

I agree sy4. Although I do feel there will be a budget and potentially higher than in previous summers. I feel a few will be moved on or swapped etc. I expect 5-6 players maybe a few top names amongst them.

Agree about manager Sy but surely we would have to be verifiable to announce we have 100 200 or 300 million to spend . Oh they have that to spend jack up the price . No one had a clue who the new manager was going to be despite many claiming done deal etc and I for one am happy for the club to do deals on the quiet ( won't stop me being impatient and watching Eds doing there thing during transfer window ) . Only been in a day and someone in the know has announced we are off to Germany 🇩🇪 to sign three or for players Jeez! I think you will find we do things better and quieter and let's hope Benzema / Higuain / Artetttta gate are the thing of the past COYG.

Exciting appointment of a proven winner in his mid-40's. Wenger will be a hard act to follow, but I believe the fans needed the excitement of a new manager, new methods, new tactics and players.
We have the basis of a decent team and at least 3 quality signings are needed:
A Keeper: Leno?

I think getting back a top 4 spot will count as a succesful 1st season for sure. Will not be easy but if he can just get the defence better drilled to conceed less sloppy goals we have a chance. We have the forward power to compete for sure.

True Ryan going forward we look top 4 challenges but sadly our defence is currently relegation zone standard.
Definitely need a DM who enjoys that role and a partner for him who enjoys both the defensive and attacking aspects of the game. Plus 2 CBs also 2 full backs wouldn't go a miss oh and a new keeper too but apart from that I think the defence is fine as it is :-)

I was checking out his posts most of last week and don't remembering him sayng at any ppint Artetta was 90%, he may have done on of course and I missed it but if he did it was a strange thing for him to say when he was the one journalist who consistently said Artetta wasn't anything like a certainty.
My mate Daves record on Arsenal rumours is second to none and if you check out his record you will see he's not perfect by any means but he's way above the vast majority of journalists when it comes to accuracy.

In my opinion, I reckon there will be some players who will get a serious kick up the a**e! There is too much complacency amongst certain players in the squad so they'll be in for a shock! I'm a big fan of Maitland-Niles so would like to see the team built around him also. However, Rambo and Ainsley in the middle? We need a class DM to be honest so that wouldn't really fit the 4-2-3-1 that Emery likes. Intrigued to see how he lines up pre-season with the current squad.

First good impression for me get rid of Welbek, chambers, and get a reliable CB and also cash in from Koschelni and get a backup striker like El sharwi/ J Vardy and possibly another holding CM.
