Arsene says he will do what's needed in January but warns its not an ideal market :-) doesn't bode well given he could only manage a keeper in the summer which I guess he thinks is an ideal market.

He'll be actively seeking out targets in January but his marksmanship has to be top notch, that's where the danger lies.

Have some faith g62, Wenger's aim ain't what it used to be but he's still capable of a magical shot. He knows that time is dwindling, chances diminishing and sadly that his faith has been misplaced.

Ruthlessness is critical, do or die time for Arsene and that is healthy for Arsenal in the short term.

Thr mans a leg end.

23 Nov 2015 20:47:54
Wenger WILL NOT buy anyone this January, Jack and Danny will be back . All the top players will be in the CL .

23 Nov 2015 22:05:39
We didn't need to notch. Just better than arteta. Flamini at least. He will buy a player I believe. Coquelin will have further scans and I reckon the length of his layoff will become greater.

24 Nov 2015 10:25:05
william carvalho we need to get him.

23 Nov 2015 17:46:03
Ox back at the weekend and Walcott the following .

Coq only out for 1 month according so Arsene.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

23 Nov 2015 18:18:50
2months at least I think. Iv had that injury before.

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Nov 2015 18:39:27
Le Coq back in time for city? Yes please, the thought of playing them without him isn't an exciting one.
Of all the players out he's going to be the biggest miss, I think we can forget getting a win in Greece without him that's for sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 18:54:21
Yes but Derby you weren't getting the treatment that Arsenal can afford.

62, please don't tell me you are dreaming of Euro glory still.

I say it again, get out of the competition, we need fit players for a PL challenge.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 19:20:42
No Banbury :-) Euro glory never crossed my mind for a minute at any stage of this season mate but I do think despite the ridiculous mistakes at the start of the campaign with anything close to a first choice 11 winning in Greece wasn't beyond us and matching previous heroics of a last 16 exit, dizy heights hey :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 19:30:16
As for our title challenge? I don't see us getting past Norwich and Vila away without dropping points with the players we have available, hope to eat humble pie on this of course.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 20:49:42
'if' Ramsey and Ox are back that makes it a tad different surely, with only Coq and Walcott missing, if we can't win there with just those two out then we should all hibernate and come back in August.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Nov 2015 03:58:47
Personally I don't think we will see le coq while new year.

Banbury a knees a knee mate. If your ligaments go there's no special cure. Yes they have oxygen chambers etc but its not that simple. Look at theos absence. And I was at a club when I did my injury.

Amazing you say that about arsenal BTW when most players are out longer then normal. If he's back in 4 weeks il eat my hat. No chancw.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Nov 2015 13:27:45
Is Oxygen Chambers the brother of Callum?

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 17:44:20
Ramsey trained today

Watch him get injured tomorrow, there is rushing someone back and there is being plain bloody stupid.

While I don't think spuds are title material, what they do have is a young team with a young dynamic manager and van gaal pelegrini and wenger, the relative dinosaurs of football will find it hard to compete tactically with the likes of poch and klopp as well. With the exception of Maureen ( struggling at this moment ) I don't think the prem has the best managers in europe and the best are outside the prem and the young ones in this league will give the wrinklies a fright. That is the reason it is tight this year, because there isn't a stand out manger or team.

23 Nov 2015 14:06:29
Steve i think your manager is a good one.
I just think that his time at Arseanal has gone a few years longer than it should have. A move to a new club would have seen him become dominant i think. Maybe he should have been 'The Chosen One' instead of dithering dave.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 15:11:41
Deep, i think he's a good manager, no great manager but he didn't know when to call time. His decision making is now rocky to say the least and like most when they get old think he's always right. i'm not as old as wenger but as i get older i am noticing my decision making is not as good as it was and i can do as much as i used to, that's why we have to retire, because we are getting less capable, he's going on too long.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - have you ever thought of working for "help the aged" steve?.. :)

23 Nov 2015 16:10:13
Have to disagree steve, your manager is a good and once was great i think. He is past his peak is what you're saying and being repetetive and all but i think had he moved to a different club 4,5 years ago only, then he would have improved and learnt to be more flexible. In short he would have reinnovated himself i think. Even now if he were to move to a top club say PSG, he would make them genuine top contenders in europe.
But that's just my opinion and a hypothetical one.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 16:21:15
Thank you Deependra, ignore Steve's blasphemy.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 16:34:12
Yes deep your opinion and that's great, not mine though.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 16:42:34
Tpg i'm an atheist so not clue what you are saying. aren't most of the true gods supposed to be retired now anyway.

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Nov 2015 16:44:15
Deep I suspect you are a united fan, fergie new when to go.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 15:37:42
steve runs a one way trip hospital in Switzerland.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he should give jack a ring then derby.. :)

23 Nov 2015 16:47:56
Ed 25 I might need help the aged in a few years time, let alone working for them.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im the same steve, im falling to bits mate..and expecting a call from arsene any day now.. :)

23 Nov 2015 18:33:45
Yes Steve i a Manchester United fan and yes fergie did now when to stop but he also knew where to improve. And i respect your manager for the person he is which is not what you would say about a moureen although mou is also a winner. Even i agree than his time at arsenal has run a bit too long but that doesn't make him bad though.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 20:04:37
UTD fan
Fergie stayed 2 years to long in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 20:20:53
Herbie until you won the league again so did I. My point is fergie could see his era coming to an end. There won't be another fergie though, as a man, horrible, as a manager, the best ever in England.

23 Nov 2015 12:17:52
I would just like to apologize, since I tipped, that I thought u could win the title it's gone wrong.

:)

Sorry not sorry lol.

Are you saying we won't win title?
Thank God for that 😏.

No I'll have to stick with it now dags :)

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Nov 2015 21:41:55
ed025, would you like mertersacker leading the toffees?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - if we had a wrestling team then yes, but im very happy with stones and funes mori at the moment sligo with jags as a back up, per is a decent enough stopper but lacks pace, and i feel he is one of the weak links in the arsenal team which needs to be addressed mate..

23 Nov 2015 12:41:55
total agree, accident waiting to happen. time for gabrail to get a run in the team, i know he rash at times, but so was kosiseny when he first started. he will only get better with game time.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 12:49:48
Mertesacker should be sold bring in a world class defender.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 14:17:26
Ed025 - I think Stones is exactly the player Arsenal need. The guy is top top quality and the day he leaves Everton, I'd have him here in a heartbeat. But the likes of the Chavs and Manchester United are circling. Frankly, I think he wouldn't be out of place at Bayern, Barcelona or Real.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 07:47:15
Frustrating. Coquelin's out for 3 months.

Wenger took the gamble by not investing in another defensive midfielder and failed. He had AT LEAST 2 windows to find another who could compete with Coquelin. I am a Wenger fan, but he botched it on this one.

Also, why are we consistently injured? Eds?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal are no different to any other side regarding injuries.}

23 Nov 2015 08:07:25
While everyone panics around him Arsene will remain supremely confident that his team will once again achieve its target of a top 4 finish.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - lets hope his sights are set a bit higher G62, he goes in 18 months and will want to go out with a bang i suspect mate..

23 Nov 2015 08:11:35
eds its the same every year though zzzz.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 09:16:12
Youd think so Ed wouldn't you, but last summer with money very available and only Giroud as a recognised striker and no cover for Le Coq he let the window come and go with just a keeper to show for it, OK he's a fantastic Keeper and we're very lucky to have him but with just 2 more chances to win another title remaining I'd have thought Arsene would have been a bit more belt and braces last summer if it was going to happen mate.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - so did i G62, he definitely missed a trick this season mate..

23 Nov 2015 09:49:15
eds when he offered arteta a new deal and i said it back then on here. it signaled to me the fact he no longer wants to win titles. he's too loyal.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - we were discussing this on the widget yesterday. Wenger has other things in mind these days, he has lost his edge. Still he is one of the best managers in the world and you will miss him when he is gone.}

23 Nov 2015 10:21:05
depends who we get eds. id of taken klopp all day long. but id be happy with carlo also. massive diego simeone fan but he's chelsea bound for me.

wenger got us here of course he did. but he's no longer the man to push us on. he's to keen on the finances etc and with building the club up so much you can understand why. but that is why we need a new approach and ideas.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The club know he is leaving so they will be able to start planning a smooth transition. In reality it is a good place to be.}

23 Nov 2015 13:30:36
Ed 02 you say the club know he is leaving, has he told them 100% he's going at the end of his contract do you know? . Thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Yes, the club knows he is leaving.}

23 Nov 2015 13:43:53
I have a feeling he may sign on for two more years.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't put any money on it, he has been on the verge of going for a while now, I very much doubt anyone will be able to talk him out of leaving this time.}

23 Nov 2015 14:56:00
oh course not he decides. but that divorce has got to hurt.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Nov 2015 04:01:23
West Brom they were strong in the fight and they had one 100 per cent commitment as well

Everytime we get beat AW acts as though its a shock the opposition were 100% commited. what is that about.

So, here we are in November wondering how we are going to cope with 8 players out injured and other players being over-played risking injury. We have to get through to the new year without important players and others feeling the effects of fatigue. Instead of pushing on with a title challenge and a last 16 CL place, one can see the usual fight for 4th and CL exit.
It didn't take a genius to work out that Flamini simply wasn't good enough, Arteta was in his 34th year and had become injury-prone and Rosicky in his 36th year should have been released.
We all knew that at least one, if not two defensive midfield players were needed.
Despite constant reasurances that our training methods and medical team were not to blame, we have a long injury list and the players are still taking longer than originally planned to return. I hate to think what state the players currently playing will be in by the time the current crop of injured players return. As for signing players, the forthcoming window is a notoriously difficult one to operate in, never mind not having a pre-seaon to integrate any signings into the squad. I would suggest playing Chambers in the defensive role vacated by the injured Coquelin, as Flamini is simply awful. Hopefully, Ox and Ramsey will return within the next couple of weeks, whilst Walcott and Wilshere returning before the new year would be a bonus. We must use what is left of our ravaged squad wisely, rotaing players where possible. The likes of Debuchy, Gabriel, Gibbs, Chambers, Cambell and Flamini must be used and I would try Reine-Adelaide as well.
