Sushhhh guys keep it down will ya. If RG catches wind of this, he will use this giroud wondergoal trophy to bash ravers head in and tell raver that we're first off the mark with the silverware . first the charity sheild now this piece of mettle that is sitting nicely on our trophy cabinet .

Ha! heard you Sanogo. I'm pleased for Giroud as it was a superb goal.
Still harping on about the Community Shield I see. Well I'm certain your toot supporting identical twin raver61 would love to have won it, as it would mean they had actually won the League or the FA Cup, something they haven't managed for decades.
Interesting chat last night with a toot supporting mate, who made the astonishing comment that he would rather lose in the CL final, than win the FA Cup! Thoughts Sanogo?

Yeah i'd take that RG, wow imagine the ride all the way to the champions league final?
With the greatest respect you wouldn't expect to bump into Sutton or Lincoln along the way would you :-)

I will indulge you this time RG. The short Answer is I Agree the FA cup win all day long. The main reason is 11 years on from our near miss in the final nobody talks about the great Arsenal side who narrowly missed out on the CL trophy . If you ask the question slightly differently along the lines of an FA cup in the bag or A champions league final to contest then I would choose the latter.

True G62, but a trophy is a trophy, opposed to being losing finalists. Interestingly the toot supporters fellow toot mates all preferred the FA Cup win to being losing finalists in the CL.

It's all a matter of opinion like everything else lads, personally I'd swap both for going into the last day of the season needing a win to guarantee the title, win lose or draw it would have been a fantastic journey and basically that's surely what football is about, how much you enjoy the journey rather than whare you finish up.
Newcastle fans will still anguish about how they blew the title under Keegan that season but I'm sure the great memories of fantastic football that had the whole country glued to their TVs in excitement, football may be a business but it's still an entertainment businesses that needs to get people excited to survive.

Yes, I agree with you Sanogo that the chance in a CL final opposed to an FA Cup win, but a loss is in the final is pretty hard to bear, as we well know and an FA Cup final win is enjoyable nonetheless.
I think the Toot fan I met up with was trying to downplay an FA Cup win as we have picked up 3 in the last 4 seasons, whilst the Toot have won zilch. He seemed very bitter and I think he is aware that this season is a good opportunity as they will come under huge pressure to sell.

It's reminiscen of the time when Redknapp was doing well and they won nothing, with the side eventually breaking up, with their two best players Modric and Bale ending up at Real Madrid. I can envisage Kane and Alli ending up there too. Rose and Alderweirald are unhappy with the wages at present and in Rose's case he also mentioned no trophies.

R. G. you are obsessed with spurs as we are the real deal and will keep you in Europa league football for the next few years. You said redknapp was the new messiah HOW he took over the team at the bottom of the league and had a bang average squad minus bale, modric, vdv and king. Good old poch has top quality right through the team and we have one of the strongest teams in the league with a massive stadium opening in August. As for spurs players leaving I think you'll find Arsenal will be quitting in January in Sanchez and ozil with ox chamberlain already leaving you for a worse club says it all lol.

I don't think he was downplaying an FA cup but more like in a delusion that they have a chance of getting to the final.

I'd love to see Dych get it but if you look 👀 k on the Everton ages they see, to want a fancy foreign name, Dyche isn't sexy enough for them. What he has done at Burnley is phenomenal and like it o not, Everton are to a top 6 side any more so talk of Ancellotti seems somewhat optimisitc.
