Use our rumours form to send us arsenal transfer rumours.

With news of 4 fringe players leaving arsenal to betis, is it possible that benat will interest the gunners in the summer? His agent suggested that he would like to make a move to another country this summer, and rumours have suggested Serie A. Just wondering if we may have any interest

Maybe I'm alone in thinking this but watching Dortmund over the last season or two, got me thinking that this is what Arsenal could of become if we had managed to hold onto all our talent and added a quality Goalkeeper and Defensive Midfielder a few years ago. I know that's a lot of ifs but the thought crossed my mind. We've got a some good young talent at the club at the moment if we buy smart over the summer, Ruffier, Wanyama, Draxler, Jovetic etc. Who know's where we could be in a few years time.

Also wish we had gone for Lewandowski last summer, really unlikely we will be able to get him now, even though his contract his running down his price could be going up with his performances. Jupp Heynckes agent has even said Bayern have pretty much got a deal for him sorted as they are willing to meet his release clause, don't know how true but still have a feeling he is out of our reach. One glimmer of hope though is that he was a boyhood Arsenal fan and Henry was his hero.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think the deal is done with Bayern

Clubs with money who will be in the market to buy this year:

1. City of course
2. Anzhi
3. Monaco
4. Bayern (the Pep revolution)
5. Barca if they loose in the CL semis
6. Madrid (didnt win anything this year if they loose in the CL semis)
7. Utd (already rumour of a buying list)
8. Chelsea
9. Dortmund (they lost Goetz and probably Ledowski (sp))

the fact is that these clubs have a wage structure to lure talent.

What will we get in this market is anyone's guess and Malaga gooners speculations.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

According to ed002, bayern will have 8 players leave. I can see that. pep loves a revolution.

barca will sell sanchez and villa and song and a defender and winger to come.

utd who knows hopefully not lewendowski after todays performance.

chelsea falcao
city cavani
dortmun - a striker and defender and kevin de bruyne from chelsea as their gotze replacement

madrid, need to offload those crap strikers and get a aguero or bale who knows.

we will be left going from A list to B list to C list to D list. and when all is gone. panic buy.

i do hope we get a cdm and striker. main priorities. and the rest depends on what garbage we sell.

Agree0 Disagree0

I guess the point I was making is that with so many clubs buying it is highly unlikely we will get any established player (s).

We would be waaay down in the pecking order

:- (

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry didn't read your whole post. I guess you were also making the same point we will get the C and D listers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal have never really shopped for the top current prime talent for years, the only exception at the time was arguably Arshavin.

We still buy some very good players Like Cazorla (In which I believe the only reason we managed to get him was because of Malaga's financial troubles), but not the current cream of players. Its part down to unable to compete on the top dollor wages but more that fact that players no longer see us as a real top level contender.

We have to go for the ones under everybody else radar, The raw
un-polished talents or upcoming gems. Or the ones that have talent but having hard times at their current club and are out of form.

The fact is because we have not competed for the league and look far away from Winning the champions league we will not be able to attract the star buys.

I think Jovetic is about the max level player we could attract right now.

Success breeds success and untill we start winning some cups and getting in the mix for the title we will not get the top players.

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need to buy world class talent. and I don't see us spending 45 mill on falcao.

with a 20-25 mill budget we should try and buy world class potential. and in our system, with the freedom of movement. they will become world class. we make average players look good. and to be fair so does the dortmund system.

they do have a solid team but only 4-5 of those guys are worthy world class players. Reus, gotze, subotic, hummels, gundogan.

I know lewandowski scored 4 goals yest but it was down to madrid sucking for me. compared to him having a messi day.

Saw that Arsenal are going to build a statue for RVP. I have a suggestion for the pose : rvp on the treatment table, he seemed to spend most of his time there.

I have solid rumours that Arsenal are bringing in Pierre Emerick Aubeyang. There are also rumours out there that we are close too getting Stevan Jovetic. 2 strikers in 1 window? Does that mean podolski is leaving? ed002? do you know anything about this?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pod is not leaving! That would probably mean at least one forward leaving though - probably Gervinho. I suspect we will only get one forward.

Any one think lewandowski would be a good signing after that?

Bergkamp5353 {Ed027's Note - He would of been a great signing last year

Of coarse he would be a great signing, but after last night he is probably out of our price range.

Any interest in Lewandowski?

He has to be the best striker around that we can actually afford.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree. WOOF! What a player! Four goals against a stingy side like Real?!

have been watching dortmund for a while and have been very impressed with defensive midfielder Gundogen would be a great fit for the Arsenal just what we need

Limerick Gunner

Believable0 Unbelievable0

His pricetag will be expensive. none of the dortmund players will go for peanuts. they are one foot into the champions league final. massive price explosion.

lewendowski just went up in value to around 30 with one year to go on his contract.

Let's show our class and clap Utd onto the pitch

Then when the whistle goes - thump them

When the final whistle goes clap the crowd for their support, shake hands with Utd and enjoy a well deserved victory and 3 key points

Lets concentrate on what's important - supporting Arsenal and being the 12th man.

SY4

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said! it will hurt to clap for RVP though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could not agree more. let's applaud them 4 winning the title, then thump them.

When was the last time we have a dominating victory over a top 4 team?

dont say 5pur2, because they are not a top team. we are not a top team that's why they look like a top team.

I've been very impressed with a ukrainian player named Konoplianka. Is there any interest from Arsenal with regards to him. He's a Nasri type of player.
Thanks

ok genuwine question if Nani is for sale for 13-15m would u lot be happy with that?
its just I remember stories circulating a few months back about u being interested in him.
Also if the stories are true about Rooney leaving for 25-30m would u be happy to try and sign him also?
Im not looking for abuse or anything of the such I have said many times of my respect for your club.
Chris the REDman

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Nani would be far better than any of our current "wingers" but I think there are better options out there, but I wouldn't want that caveman rooney anywhere near our club, can never forgive that dive in game number 50 in invicibles era

Agree0 Disagree0

No. I'd rather spend that money on Belhanda. Good skillful player. Who had a good partnership with Giroud. That signing would just make more sense. Saying that though. I think he could do a good job at the right place.

Nani is hot and cold. Mostly cold sometimes Luke warm perhaps

I think there are better options out there to be honest. No disrespect to the two players but I want something different and better.

Nani is hot and cold. Mostly cold sometimes Luke warm perhaps
-----------------------

Umm. does that make sense?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because he plays for Manchester United doesn't mean you can't say yeah he'd be great in my opinion Nani on 80 to 90k Would be a steal, pure talent and as for Rooney he could of mooned Arsenal fans he is world class and the kind of player we need

Bergkamp5353 growing a back bone

Agree0 Disagree0

Nani - we have too many hot or cold players already (Walcott, Giroud, Gervinho). Need players with more consistency.

Rooney - for £20mil and £100k per week yes just about but his wages demands will be a lot higher than that.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2013 14:54:34
With all the players that we were linked with all going to different clubs who are we going to get? And who will be interested in coming to Arsenal? We need at least 4 top quality/ world class players and then we will be one force to be reckoned with. Our football is the best in the game when we are on it. I still hope Wenger stays as his philosophy is great, but must realise that he needs to spend and it will pay off. Just hope we can actually get those 4 world class players that the team needs.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't even feel they need to be WC they just need to be good at there role, for example Wanyama isn't world class but would do a Job we need doing.

you say 4 players it could be more and to have 4 first team players join no mater how good they are will take time to blend

IMO we need:
GK: I'm keen on Valdez ino others aren't but anyone wanting to leave barca for a new challenge deserves respect imo

CB: i'd actually love jagielka, I know we failed a few seasons back but think he would be perfect.

Rb: Sagna looks destine to leave, is jenkinson ready, I think so but Corchia is still a good option you think LB we have gibbs and nacho

CDM: everyone rates and wants Wanyama and rightly so but i'd take Tiote any day of the week, for me he still ticks all the boxes

CM: Clasie the young dutch lad, looks the nuts and going to be big or Cabaye if you fancy a Newcastle double

Wingers: what I feel we need the most, I'd groom Ox into a more ACM role and although I'd promote Gnabry, haven't seen enough or Ryo I'd like to get Griezmann love the ways he plays and the direct approach or like the rumours Draxler and play in the same way Nasri did for us

St: Jovetic maybe depends if we strength the wings if no wingers are brought in then defo need more upfront but if we strength the wings probably and use the players properly we'll be ok
dandan

Don't want Tiote. He gets sent off far too often

Does anyone know the availability of Micah Richards? And if Sagna leaves, whether Arsenal would consider him as a replacement?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Would you considering his injury history and the £15m price tag?

for 6/7m I say bargain but he'll be at 10m being English and all

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take him for about £10m. Can be our 4th CB too.

guys let's be honest yes we do not know what's going on in the back ground regarding to transfers but I pray and hope we start our negotiations early and have targets that are better players than we have. I mean united win the league with the best striker in the league but they trying to sign a better player than him. bayern maybe the best team in Europe now but they still buying great players and the season ain't over. Chelsea have seen a reason to fight next season schurle and maybe Gomez going their way, man city will buy for sure. where does that leave arsenal and with who? the best will be picked.
anyway all I am saying to all is its true the early bird catches the worm. hoping for a good summer. though I am very worried

Wouldn't it be nice if old red nose took pity on us and decided to put out a slightly weakened team at the weekend. Ain't going to happen. Hears hoping all their first team suffer from alcohol poisoning due to excessive celebrating instead. #CLUTCHING AT STRAWS

Bit about Bayern.
Why are they getting rid of their manager?

The bundesliga is set to become very predictable. P#ssed this season, strengthening for next season, while in the process weakening their nearest rivals. With Guardiola set to take over the reins gifted with great players and a hefty chequebook. Predictable is being kind. Guardiola is a wonderful manager, but would of respected him a little more if he hadn't taken the easy choice.

To continue a dynasty is one thing.
To make a dynasty is quite another.
Flybo

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I guess we did the same when buying RvP Flybo mate. City have been doing it to you for a few years now too.

I wouldn't expect a much weakened United side. I would expect RvP to play. He will certainly want to play. I think Nani may play on the left with Anderson in the middle. Perhaps Buttner at LB. But I think it may still be a strong line-up.

I would prefer Arsenal & Spurs to qualify for the UCL, Chelsea would find it a little more difficult getting their targets without UCL football, although they have the cash to pay what it will take to get the player.

So what do the Arsenal lads make of this coming weekend then? It's obviously a more important weekend for you guys than us as a top four finish for you is paramount, but how do you expect AW to line-up. Do you expect United to play a strong side? Are you expecting RvP play? Will Wilshere play or will he get the much needed rest he should get? Will the Arsenal fans turn their backs to RvP? Will they turn it into a Poznan? What do you guys think the outcome will be?

A Manchester United fan looking for a serious chat.

Sydney!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think we will lose,

But I don't rule out a win.

Nick.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey fella. AW will play the strongest lineup available and tbh I expect Fergie will too. He's said they'll be no going off the boil. Van Persie will get a terrible reception I fear, which will do nothing but fire him up, him scoring is inevitable. Hope we can nick a result, more likely to be a draw.
Fab

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will either win, lose or draw and if it is draw it will either be a score draw or a no score draw.

I have put £10 on each of the above outcomes just to be safe.

I see RvP getting a rest honestly.

Fergie has enough to field a strong side without him, and would be keen to spare all involved from the horrid reception he's guaranteed.

Chris the Manc REDnosedman.

he was with empoli until 2004, they were relegated, he joined udinese and he has been there ever since.

atleast try and google it before you post for the sake of posting.

---------
So di Natalie stayed and showed loyalty when his boyhood club were relegated? U do realize that your post just backed up my post dnt u laker?
Try engaging ure brain before posting next time
Chris the REDman

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Empoli and udinese are not rivals. the question of loyalty comes into effect in the case of rvp due to basically no sane gooner liking the devils and we had no issue with him leaving for even city, atleast then we would know its about money.

also think with common sense. would you expect a player of di natale to stick around with a relegation team? compared to rvp to utd from arsenal.

jeez man think.

Agree0 Disagree0

And how are we your rivals now? I think this rivalary only exists with gooners now, tbh your a top 4 chasing team atm and have been for years, we are a title chasing team.
U say u would rather he went to city? why? its because u sold most of your players to them that they are on top of u now! u selling us rvp didn't put us above u we have always been for years before rvp and prob will be for many after.
dnt get me wrong I understand the bitterness to him, but surley u can understand where u are now compared to us? was it his fault he got injured for half a season every year for 6 seasons? No, u got top doller for a player with only a year left on his contract and was 28 with a poor injury record!
Did u complain when wenger tapped up campbell from spurs? i'm sure if rvp was 26 he would of stayed for a few more years to try and help u to a title or cup but approaching 29 at the time he had to make a big choice and made the right call imo, boo him loath him do what ever u want, the thing that hurts most gooners is the fact they know why he made is choice and can see it was the right 1.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forgot to sign off
Chris the REDman

Agree0 Disagree0

Campbell came for free. and if rvp went for free I would not care too much.

lets just say we don't like united. I don't like united more than I dislike the spurs. its a team of hypocrites.

Fergie complains chelsea and city spend too much. but who was spending 30 odd mill way before abramovic came? you guessed it.

it has been proven over a season 70 seconds have been added over extra time on average hence fergie time exists.

we all know you have your own referees too. don't even want to mention the FA in your backpocket.

Id rather applaud a team like city for trying to win the right way to united who if you take into account the decisions that went your way to the rivals it was 8 points gifted. sure the title would still be in your grasp but it changes the landscape too.

you as a fan don't see the hypocrisy because you are one. but every other fan knows that united win time and again mainly due to favouritism.

everytime we beat you we did so out of pure will. every time you guys suck. there is a penalty waiting to be gifted or a red card for another player.

it might be united's time. no doubt. but I look at liverpool as an example. some called their pre-epl domination as fake wins. in time so will united.

if you notice when referees allow teams to come to OT and play. see how united struggle to play the game. anyway enjoy your trophy. it won't last for long. I can bet you next year we will see a new champion. may not be us. but sure as hell won't be you lot.

Ed02 actually posted stuff on the spurs page that you normally wouldn't see, written to him by a buffoon called spurs guvnor, if you search under his name on their page you'll see what I mean and if that was the kind of stuff Arsenal fans were posting then it is truly no wonder he rightly takes his stance.
