Great and very fair question Rosie, unfortunately it's where we are as a club right now, not exactly Roy of the Rogers stuff is it :-) and not difficult to understand why the Emirates wasnt busting at the rafters Spursday night.

Let's not forget the Emirates cup too D :-) our record in that is unrivaled.
A Community Shield Emerirates cup and 4th place trophy trebble winning season and still people are not happy, just no pleasing some people is there :-)

24 Apr 2016 21:16:33
Yes mate, if Greece and Denmark can why can't Wales?

Agree0 Disagree1

24 Apr 2016 23:05:14
Welsh go and put 50p on and we will all be happy. Gunner greece and denmark didn't have chris Coleman managing them tho.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Apr 2016 12:48:03
Steve
You sound like my bookmaker. Saturday even he said are you sure when I lumped £20 on arsenal to win the league at 60-1
If leicster had lost and spurs drew .
I would have been laughing then.

25 Apr 2016 20:35:27
Ever the optomist welsh.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 19:02:46
Welsh mate have you conceded the title yet mate :-) although it's now mathematically impossible are you still holding out in hope a stewards enquiry?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2016 19:21:57
Is that really it gunner, are you sure, if them and spuds have cooked the books couldn't they lose 10 points each or something still. Is it over.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 19:32:14
Welsh probably went to the same school as raver and still thinks we can still do it.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 19:54:48
Even Carol Vorderman is scratching her head :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 20:01:14
I've heard Arsene is asking for a rule change where no team is allowed to finish higher than a team that beats the twice in a season, obviously this rule change will not apply to Chelsea or Swansea :-) because that wouldn't be fair :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 20:03:12
Well G62
I never saw this coming. I can now put all my support to leics.
Was it me or did Walcott pull out of a tackle, It made me feel sick that after what arsenal fc have done for him and he was like a brake dancer.
I hope we sell him, Also I now hope us welsh lads show him how high he needs to jump in the eruos
WALCOTT shame on you today
Well who has got leics for the league and palace for the cup. Only a total loney.
Lads we have had some banter this year, But I'm now packing my leek and daffodil, and to war I must go against you English.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 21:32:05
Apparently gunner the other rule change he wants is a trophy to be given to the team that is top of the league on august 1st. i'm sure he will change his mind if Accrington Stanley ever get into the prem.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 18:36:14
Ha ha raver you can't do the maths, I've just realised, lose to chelski and two leicester draws and you are second. Given up already raver ha ha.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2016 18:53:24

Even this morning I had a dream we would win it. I never worried that the spuds would do it.
I got 60-1 this morning on us doing it. Bugger.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 22:27:36
60/ 1 id have wanted 60000000/ 1 andceven then id havechad to think twice on putting 50p on and even then id want each way.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 18:24:15
When you think it can't get no worse, I have just had a nasty thought, same again next year!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2016 18:56:54
I think next season will be our biggest overhaul ever.

That's doesn't include management, Arsene will still be in charge.

But Flamini, Arteta, Rosicky will definitely go. Ox and Walcott could follow, and Giroud, if he stays will be a bit part player.

We need 3/ 4 major changes.

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 19:12:33
Dags i'm not convinced.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 19:58:39
Steve,
In terms of fan's 'unrest', this has surely been Wenger's worst season.

If Wenger (or the board) don't notice and do something about it, than they have their heads buried up their arse's further than we think.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 20:16:30
No chance Dags. Wenger had a pop at Spuds didn't he when they got 7 or 8 players in, he says its too disruptive, It wouldn't surprise me if only Flamini, Arteta and Rosicky were the only ones of this seasons squad to move. He might bring someone else in for Per but that will be it

IMO of course.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 20:38:58
My problem is dags kronke has form in america and has upset fans more than once, he is not bothered about success just profit and why should he care about arsenal football club and trophies. His trophy is the pound or in his case dollar.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 20:44:06
Bambam,
Unfortunately, you are probably correct mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 21:19:58
Banbury you are entitled to your opinions but wenger might not listen to you, he might keep arteta.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 17:43:46
Just watching bits of Leicester V Swansea.

Not just based on this game, but anybody who says Leicester are not worthy Champions, hasn't got a clue about football.

Take note Arsenal Football Club.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2016 17:58:37
They haven't won it yet dags, next 3 games they will draw 2 and lose to Utd. Us will lose to Chelsea but win our other 4 games makes us champions. Dags welsh has predicted every week since feb, leicester are lucky and we will catch them to win the league, don't give upnyour day job welsh.

Agree3 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 18:07:13
Dags couldn't agree more with on that! it's all about getting those three points right? What's the point if we play nice and lose points. Leicester genuinely deserve all the plaudits.

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 18:16:27
Unbelievable swansea 64% possession leicester 36% 4-0. Us pass pass pass pass pass passssssssssssss.

Agree3 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 18:25:25
They said they'd be out the top 4 by January
They said theyd be found out in the second half of the season
They said without Verdyy they will straggle and get pipped by Spurs.
Ladies and gentlemen I give you the most worthy champions English football has ever produced.
What a story what an achievement what a message to send out to every club in the country.

Agree3 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 18:28:17
Raver you and welsh are on a level par as far as predictions are concerned. Anyone who can't see leicester are cruising and bruising are blind. Plus my mate cesc has told me he is going to batter you and the let leicester win, just to make sure.

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 18:33:15
I see it more as an indictment of the quality in the EPL that all a team needs to do is get the basic fundamentals right to stand a chance of winning it.

Credit to Leicester for showing nerve and playing to their strengths but at times the football they've showcased has been awful to watch. It's all about results at the end of the day though and everyone seems to love an underdog story.

Absolutely hate to say this, but on balance, Spurs are the most deserving of the title. Further proof of how poor the standard is becoming.

Agree0 Disagree4

24 Apr 2016 18:42:26
And probably pass to the side of the net Steve? lol.
#ohtobeanarsenalfan.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 19:00:46
Loosecannon I wish our football was ad awful as theirs. Oh wait, we play great football. Please give leicester some credit.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 19:14:29
Willy they aren't that accurate.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 19:26:49
Steve, I did give credit to Leicester for maximising their strengths, they just haven't played quality football in my eyes. And Arsenal performances hold no relevance to that. Leicester have executed their style to great effect whereas Arsenal have failed to execute their style to anywhere near the required standard in most games.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 19:43:06
Ha ha ok loose, through gritted teeth.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 17:36:43
Giroud has to be the most out of form player in the PL so why play him instead of DW?

Oh I know why Wenger is trying to give him confidence for the Euro's. there is no other reason than that surely

Comments please.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2016 17:46:56
Giroud, alas is woeful.

As Niall Quinn repeatedly commented, he runs into spaces (towards goal) , that practically makes it impossible to pass the ball to him.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 18:06:46
Not only that banbury why are we leaving coq out and why is he finding a place in the team come what may for ramsay, who slows the game down. Mert ramsay and giroud plodding just like the team, utterly useless wenger.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 18:18:37
Giroud is my favourite player, why are you picking on him. Give him the ball and he will give it to the croud.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 18:25:35
It is not Wenger's job to build a players confidence to play for his country, no matter what his nationality. His job is to produce a winning team something at which he's failing at.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 18:39:00
Love it Steve.

That's why Giroud is a crowd favourite, he keeps passing the ball to them.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 17:18:20
If there isn't a manager out there that can't get more out of this team/ club then football needs to go back to an amatuer sport. Disgraceful effort, but without the effort. Turn the lights off wenger when you leave the ground and drop your keys through the letterbox. PLEASE.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

24 Apr 2016 17:12:01
Change the manager and the board will change. #fansoverprofit.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2016 16:51:16
I think the best bit of business that Arsene can do for the next season is to offer long term contract to Arteta, Rocisky, Flamini and also offer a 250k contract to Theo Walcott he deserves it for his performances over the last few years.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2016 17:14:03
hi
disappointing (again! ) today. guess all the lads are looking forward to the holidays or something.
really lacking something.
too much money, lack of drive, lack of passion, lack of work rate, arrogance also, all springs to mind: (
we need to get some of what Ranieri is putting in the Leicester team's tea.
as raver/ NE Spur says below, maybe even the 'fourth place' trophy is at risk this year, sigh, gutted.
andi.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 16:45:11
Seems as if the wheels are coming off from the so called arsenal's 4th place trophy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2016 16:43:41
So frustrating again. I couldn't care if you're a Wenger in or out fan the players really do need to look at themselves as they are also letting the club down. Should be winning games like that. We really need to show some intent this summer it's been a long time coming.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2016 16:51:18
Give some blame to Wenger though he is just too predictable. Giroud should have been taken off at HT, why this 70 minute nonsense .

If players know there is NO consequence of a poor performance how are you ever going to get the maximum out of them?

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 16:53:17
I think it is highly likely we could finish outside of the top 4, the momentum is with M City and M Utd, we have no form whatsoever .

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 17:15:53
A change of manager will give the boys a new lift.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 17:20:29
Yea you're totally right giroud should've come off earlier. was Campbell on the bench? Very hard to watch atm but I do feel both players and Arsene should take the blame.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 18:11:21
If we finish fourth there will be banners and demonstations, If we are 5th there will be riots, the natives are restless.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 16:39:21
Current leicester crop would be better of in CL than arsenal. It's the truth. Well done to the lads for showing true spirit. One thing they've got in mind is to win and nothing else. I know until the likes of Norwich finish above arsenal, wenger won't be sacked.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2016 17:13:11
Willy if we make a profit, it wouldn't matter if villa finished above us.

1. Arsenal has not won league in 12 years and has never won the UCL
2. Arsenal has most expensive ticket in England (I think Europe as well)
3. Wenger is 69 I think. That is old for a person doing that kind of job
4. Even with addition of good players like Ozil, Sanchez, Cech, we really haven't progressed in three seasons
5. We have pathetic strikers. Giroud and Walcot are too wasteful and incompetent. No matter how many chances we create, it all counts for nothing if we can't finish them
6. We have a shocking injury record (and our manager always thinks it's bad luck even though we have struggled with this for years)
7. We don't sell unnecessary players. Arteta, Rosicky, Flamini, Jack are unnecessary. The get lots of money and do nothing and eat up spots in our squad of 28
8. Wenger is stingy, he will not pay the required price for a player
9. Wenger is stubborn. He will not reinforce the obvious. We have missed a quality CF, quality CB to partner Kos and a right wing for a long time. Instead he goes and buys just a keeper
10. Wenger is delusional. Listen to his post match interviews

Taking all that into account, I am a staunch Wenger out fan. He has been our best coach and I would prefer if he resigned on a good note rather than endure a season of abuse in his last season.

New contract in the offing for Wenger.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 12:38:43
afternoon north east

hope your well

rue the sooner he goes the better

resign or sacked, it makes no difference to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 13:59:00
Rue 1025 - I disagree with some of you points, particularly ; Wenger is not 69, he is 66 and mentally and physically is well capable of being a top manager.
Assuming you get rid of Wenger, please tell me who you would replace him with that is realistically possibile to get and how they would do a better job.
If he were to be replaced with Ancelotti, Guardiola, Mourinho or Simeone, then fair play, but these are not available, assuming as is being reported that Mourinho will sign for Man U and Simeone doesn't speak English.

Agree0 Disagree2

24 Apr 2016 15:59:51
Wenger was a nobody when he signed. Why can't we give people like Koeman or BERGKAMP etc a try? It'll be more exciting to see change than stay with this stale predictable crap all the time.

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 17:02:19
You simply cannot defend him anymore, We always fall short even though we have everything at our disposal to be a top European club. He Has put the foundations in but has failed to build on that, I do appreciate the work and effort he has put in and do not wish he be sacked, but he must resign and allow a fresh approach as we have become stale and its painful to see.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 17:02:59
Just wenger was a nobody when he came and he will be a nobody when he leaves. Sooner the better. What load of sterile rubbish, not only can wenger not motivate, he can't change the sterile slow passing either.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 17:42:57
Run you're correct in all you say, but unfortunately I personally believe it's too late for him to leave on a good note anymore.
The man is arrogant beyond belief and has ruined his own legacy.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 10:15:43
Making a bold prediction. Arsenal to win, Leicester and Spurs to lose. Some bit of magic in the air. This happens, many arsenal fans would be blowing bubbles. Loss to these teams will harness more pressure on them. #magicalmoments.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 12:19:53
Even if spurs and Leicester did lose it wouldn't make a difference if Arsenal win as you have no chance of winning the league. You should check the table you are fighting for 4th not champions.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 13:24:29
Actually we're fighting for 3rd raver get it right lol.

Lets get a good win today (keep the dream alive)
Fat SAM would like nothing more then to stick the knife into Wenger
So I'm hopping all the fans will cheer him on.

I agree welshy, I'm hoping the fans cheer on big Sam too.

Welsh don't ever take up gambling on football, you would be broke in weeks.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2016 08:46:01
I'm looking forward to the match today. One, we must win in order to leapfrog Man City into 3rd place. The team selection will be interesting. I would suggest that Mertesacker should play alongside Koscileny. Perhaps away from home against a physical side, it would be prudent to play Coquelin alongside the excellent Elneny.
The attacking midfield three of Ozil, Sanchez and Ramsey, with Welbeck up front.
However, I believe Wemger will retain Iwobi at Coquelin's expense.
Let's get behind Wenger and the team today and win.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

24 Apr 2016 08:59:34
We need to win and fat Sam knows it.
He would take a draw and frustrate us.

Agree0 Disagree2

24 Apr 2016 09:09:22
Hi Welshy, I'm not sure a draw is enough for Sam, so I think they will be looking to win. We need to play deep and hit them on the counter attack, possible using the pace of Welbeck upfront, with an attacking midfield trio of Sanchez, Ozil and Walcott. I would play Coquelin alongside Elneny and Mertesacker at the back. I hope we don't play a high line and press.

Agree1 Disagree1

24 Apr 2016 13:25:50
You'd start Theo RG69. What planet are you on :p. No way should he drop iwobi for him.

Agree0 Disagree2

24 Apr 2016 13:54:39
D16 - yes, I would replace Iwobi with Walcott for this match. I believe the tactics for this match shouldn't be sit deep and hit on the counter-attack and for this reason, I would suggest pace, pace, pace. Hence, Walcott, Welbeck and Sanchez.
We also need to rotate players and a young player, such as Iwobi, needs cautious handling. Walcott, should also be well motivated.
Saying that we will probably play Iwobi and play a high press and win!

Agree0 Disagree1

24 Apr 2016 15:23:12
See your reasoning but Theo just doesn't use his pace well
Enough for my liking. And iwobi isn't exactly slow.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Apr 2016 23:53:15
I remember when we played Leicester and welbeck scored that last minute goal I thought to myself I hope it doesn't come back to haunt us, and now as the season is coming to a close and Leicester and spurs are fighting it out for the title it looks like welbecks goal could play a part, I think there will only be a point or 2 in it for the winners of the prem league and I remember thinking if we don't win the league now welbecks goal could be used in spurs favour

I hope I'm wrong but I would be gutted if that was the case, it's just one of those things that has been in the back of my mind since that day and in fairness if spurs do win the league they would have deserved it them and Leicester have been great all season play to both teams, I just hope Leicester can hold on and see this over the line.
