With Campbell going the other way on loan, does this leave us a little bit short up front?

Maybe Wenger plans on playing Cazorla, Rosicky and Ozil more in wide areas. Or Gnabry will get more game time.

Short up front?? Is that a joke?? Can't tel if you're bein sarcastic. we have Alexis, Walcott, ox and welbeck and possibly gnarby!

You need at least two players in each position. Between the striker and two wingers (in our starting line up) we have Giroud, Welbeck, Sanchez, Ox, Walcott and Gnabry. One or two injuries and we will be very light upfront.

Sanogo, Podolski and Campbell all out on loan does leave us a bit light up top. Before the window we definatly had a surplus of forwards, now I think perhaps we sold one too many. Not sure if we can expect some to come in. Maybe we should have kept Podolski.

I get your perspective Detroit. Hopefully this means a marque in the summer . Cavani or such?

Would we be able to recall any of the ayers we are sending out on loan? Surely we would have left that option open for emergencies

Brilliant day for the underdogs and the cup itself but the competition doesn't need to many more shocks this round.
Arsenal/man u / Liverpool v Bradford final has all the ingredients needed to keep interest high across the nation but a Bradford. V Cambridge final although romantic would hold little interest outside the clubs involved come the final its self

Oohh I don't know G62,

If we get knocked out, I think a Bradford/Cambridge final would be very refreshing, as well as, undoubtedly entertaining.

Plus, I think it would give the FA Cup a massive shot in the arm, certainly in terms of it's flagging 'magic'.

Sounds refreshing I know Dags but in reality it's the Johnson paint trophy revisited and would get a very low tv audience, to have blockbuster you either need two giants or a Rocky Balboa v Apolo Creed where all the neutrals unite behind the underdog hoping for an upset

If it was, for example, a Liverpool v Utd final or Man City v Chelsea, I would be 50/50 if I watch it.

Bradford v Cambridge? (For example).
Yes, I would definitely watch it because its something different, and probably more entertaining.

I reckon more 'neutral's' will tune in than if it was City v Chelsea for example.

To be fair, he does personally congratulate 'lower teams' if they do well against Chelsea.

Yeah right, that's all about 'his' image, his team have embarrassed him but yet again he will come up smelling of roses, he probably gave his number to the best players to try and sign them

I agree g62 its weird that he occasionally does things completely against the grain of his usual character. 337 might have it right that its all about his image, but then the usual nonsense he spouts doesn't do much for his image. so if he did things just for the image you would imagine he would be congratulating everybody and not leaving 5 mins before a games ended

Trust me the guys a genius when it comes to playing games, nobody is talking about how poor they were they're all talking about his actions after! Pure genius!

To be fair I was of the same opinion re the question, I never saw a hint of anyone in the British news, TV or otherwise who were having a go at Arsenal for celebrating, it was all about what a great game we played and from what ed01 said in another reply it was the foreign press who started the story.

Which answered my question as to where the hell it had come from.

Did anyone actually witness this over the top excessive celebration other than the same bit I saw of Santi being carried off by the Ox.

If wenger picks the tactics it might be a draw. If the players pick the tactics ( a la sheik citeh) 2-0 . Suprising admition by wenger.

In view of Arsene's admitting it was player power that forced the tactics changes that worked so superbly its not surprising the players were so excited by getting a result playing a style they believed in.
Does seem they felt they'd won the biggest battle before they even went on to the pitch and city were easy pickings compared to getting Arsene to change his ways :-)

Well Steve let's hope the players just showed the ships captain what a rudder is and how to use it and he actually sees the impotantace of it from now on, I don't see the players ever walking the plank again after sundays success no matter how much Arsene assures them the water isn't wet this time

Annoying result for Manchester United tonight.

An FA Cup replay at home to Cambridge Utd doesn't help their title chall-
