{Ed007's Note - Over a season Scottish football fans spend more in court on their defence than all of them combined!}

Before anyone's knickers fall off I'm not saying Perez is the standard required for Arsenal! But can anyone please shed any light on why he has been bought for 17m hardly given any time and when he did get a go did alright to good whilst there's other players that have been given a far better chance and looked awful time and again. It's similar to Joel Campbell who I thought did ok that season with us but nope off he went. I wonder what Wenger sees day in day out that we don't to find these descisions! All very confusing to me.

im told wenger didn't want him but was last on. I don't think he's upto it could be a gem for europa tho. but I say let him go and be first choice in Spain. no shane wish him the best.

I often think that mate, what the hell do they see in training that makes managers keep picking certain players.

It's not just Wenger, klopp keeps faith with some absolute dobbins, Guardiola has made loads of selections that made me think wtf.

Same for Mourinho at United. Pochettino, what was he thinking when he bought Sissoko or that 5h1te centre forward.

I think the worst thing for me is players like Walcott who do little to nothing in training to improve themselves.

I've been saying that since day one mate.

The guy is clinical. 9 goals in 12 games and we are selling him.

Makes no sense.

The town's folk were not happy and had the pitch forks sharpened and ready to use, they had been promised a great feast of a striker and dinner time was fast approaching and still the cooker wasn't even lit, the quick thinking Arsene Wenger sent out for fish and chips in order to stop the rebellion.
The town's folk danced and sang and because they thought they were going to miss out on being fed at all they themselves tuned the fish and chips into a fine feast in their own minds.
Mean while Arsene didn't fancy the cod n chips himself so he just smiled for the camera with chip at his lips and when no one was looking put it in his pocket to sell off later.
Hope this has cleared everything up for you mate :-)

Walcott scored 20 goals last year, he's completely loyal to the club yet still gets the fans hate. Completely ridiculous IMO.

Hope the news about the Eleny bid are untrue, would rather see Francis leave always think there's a sending off in him.

I am starting to think that we are finished in the market now. All the rumours are going in circles which is leading me to think that it is all speculation or false leaks to keep everyone happy. I would love 2 more decent signings but i am not holding my breath. Other teams know we have to spend big, wenger has bought an expensive player so far so i expect nothing or a young starlet at best now. I so hooe i am wrong.

My feeling is now we need to sell first to raise more funds before making more moves in the market (Our usual spare 50Mill transfer fund was taken up by Lacazette) , and selling these fringe players may not be that straightforward certainly not for the price we want.

I don't get why we rejected 16Mill for Chambers that seemed like a fair price to me for a CB that is like 3/ 4th reserve CB behind, Holding Mert and Gabriel. We will get Next to nothing for Dubuchy, Campbell and jekinson and maybe about 10-12 For Perez. The biggest asset that Wenger might be willing to let go is the OX and we could get around 20-25 for him. Weather all these sales will be enough to get Lemar it seems doubtful, but would be enough to get Marhez I suppose. A lot depends what happens with Sanchez I guess but I can just see him running down his contract tbh.

You could be right but i doubt it.
I think Arsene and the club will try to show the fans they have ambition this time round, I'd be shocked if they tried to convince people we were ok as we are this time round, they might of course but I'd be surprised.

Just a thought, but super money for Lemar. why not trust in Iwobi? I know he had an off year, but he is so young with so much potential.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

24 Jul 2017 17:51:22
Personally I don't think he will be good enough. It's a tough one because in our squad Adelaide Iwobi and Nelson all have that potential. But it's hard for them to break through with the pressure succeed instantly in the league.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jul 2017 19:03:52
Do we really want to keep waiting for potential to come good, Jack Aaron Theo Gibbs how many have we waited for before and how long can we keep doing it?
Iwobi looked totally out of his depth last season in virtually every game he played I'm not sure the majority of fans have enough patience left for more potentially good players to come good.
I'd get the lad out on loan either abroad or in the championship for a season.

Brilliant thank you Ed. Interesting you say Southampton will let them know. In the press Arsene said we are respectful to clubs we ask them what they want to do and if they say so and so is not for sale we don't insist.

He also seemed to indicate that was not the case with psg regarding Alexis. If this is true why on earth are some clubs like arsenal willing to respect that and leave it whereas some won't take no as an answer. Not saying there's anything wrong with it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Sometimes it is simply posturing rather tha a hard "No".}

24 Jul 2017 13:00:21
That's understandable some people want to push then. Thank you for the reply.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2017 13:14:21
Did Arsene take no for an answer in Lacasette case? :-)
Kettle pot black me thinks.
Like most people it's a very different story when the boot is on the other foot, if we really want a player who also really wants to join us we will do all we can to make it happen, it's the same for all clubs the world over.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jul 2017 13:37:52
Most probably is like that 62. Although I do remember when united signed martial Arsene said we didn't realise he was available to buy. Does make me wonder if we just do take no for an answer.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2017 19:18:09
Money talks at the end of day D16 if you offer enough cash anybody is for sale. Arsenal are polite that way and ask is the player available before making a below acceptable offer were as others just slap the hard cash down and say we will give you this much for him without asking first.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2017 20:22:25
Don't think we asked Liverpool about Saurez, I think we just piled straight in with our bid a quid policy in order to activate some imaginary cluase that unsettled the player and upset the club, very proper I must say :-)
Its the same everywhere, non one likes having their best players taken but are more than happy to do the same else where, Arsene is no different he just doesn't like it what it works against him, which I fairness is very Arsene in itself :-)

24 Jul 2017 09:35:00
If you look at the quality of teams being linked to the Ox (Liverpool Chelsea City) if it's true and these 3 champions league sides all want him surely it says he should be playing in our team on a regular basis.
Can they all be wrong and us right not to think him worthy of a starting place?
Personally I'd give him Santi job for the first 9 games of the premier league season guaranteed if fit if he signed a 1 year extension.
The lads never had an extended run in our team especially in his preferred CMF role where he has done well on the few occasions his had a chance there.
What have we got to lose?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

24 Jul 2017 10:17:35
I don't see him a starter in any of the mentioned teams mate, maybe Chelsea in the RWB instead of moses but not starter at city nor liverpool. He is too injured and inconsistent to my liking
For santi's role I would rather have some one with Santi's caliber, some one very technical good on the ball and a good dribbler.
But I would keep him over theo for sure.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jul 2017 11:35:50
I see what your saying about him not being a regular in the city Chelsea teams but if his options are a bit part player with Arsenal or a bit part player with a decent chance of a premier league winners medal with one of those two surely it's a no brainer to leave?
If we give him a real chance before we let him go we stand less chance of regretting it latter imo.
Personally I think he's much better in CMF than you might think Moe mate.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jul 2017 12:35:29
I don't see all the fuss around him he's just the same as Walcott not good enough.

Agree2 Disagree1

24 Jul 2017 18:49:43
62 mate, I see your point and you might be right, if he is a glory hunter fear enough to him on choosing a team which is more likely to win the premier league than us but that will show you what kind of ambition he has for himself as a player being a part player.
Now Imo I had enough on trying players here and there and we to stand a chance in competing I say get the right player for the right position possible.
However maybe that's just me as I don't see him that much technically gifted and fill the santi's shoes. Again that's just my opinion mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2017 20:09:47
I think ox will end as jack of all midfield trades master of none with us and will end up just slotting in here and there when he can. He graves that central midfield position but Wenger I don't think will give him that position on any regular consistency. Wenger has the love for Xhaka and Rasmey atm in the central positions and I don't really see that changing anytime soon unless some big CM signing is made. RWB would be his best chance at a starting spot but will he be consistent enough to oust Bellerin I have my doubts. My felling is especially if this system is going to be the way forward that any offer fro him that approaches
20-25Mill mark we take it.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2017 20:26:45
But Moe if his options are bit part with us or them his only choice is but part with a premier league medal or bit part without one? Not much of temptation to stay is it :-)
Now if we offered him a real guaranteed run in CMF then he would have a decision to make.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jul 2017 20:44:12
I think your right regards Arsene's veiw Ryan so it's best for everyone Ox moves on imo, I like the lad and if he can't do well for us I hope he has a great career elsewhere.
