So,

Happy to finish 3rd?

To be honest, I am.

We started season with a decent summer window.

Ospina, Chambers, Sanchez etc, but we didn't really address our DM shortfall, hence the very poor start.

Since the introduction of Coquelin, our season has been transformed.

It took an already Arsenal player to transform our season.

But, we had already lost too much ground over Chelsea, who proved to be worthy champions.

So, I'm happy to finish 3rd but expect a big improvement next season.

Only the winner is remembered so no besides Chelsea everyone else failed.if we can win the Fa cup it helps us to end on a high and consider it a season not entirely wasted. But go empty handed and we are with the rest of the teams besides villa at that point and chelsea as having a failed season.

The season has ended but, thankfully we have one more game, but would just like to say a massive thank you to all the Eds, who do an absolutely amazing job and because of their time and effort, makes this site the best footballing site on the planet.

Thanks Eds, your efforts are truly appreciated.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate, I will pass on the appreciation to the rest of the Eds, well except for Ed025, as an Everton fan he would not know how to cope with good news!}

24 May 2015 21:08:34
Very well said dags totally agree. Thanks a lot eds! Especially ed002 who seems to get more and more annoyed with our lack of use of the search button :p. Thanks guys!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I will pass that on to her.}

24 May 2015 21:09:22
Absolutely 2nd that Dags, thank you to all the Eds for you fantastic unpaid efforts, that again as the Dagala says makes this by far the best and most enjoyable site there is
( still can't believe we get it for free, but shush:-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - your bill is in the mail G62....}

24 May 2015 21:35:55
I'd actually pay this one Ed :-), had some good news from the electric company this week when they sent me a final demand, glad they won't be asking again.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - give Dags back his 'joke' book now!! I can't cope with you telling bad gags too.}

24 May 2015 22:01:46
Ed001,

Is Ed002 of the female variety?

That explains the sarcasm lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - she's the man.....}

24 May 2015 22:33:53
Thanks Ed,

That really clears things up nicely :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - glad to help you out Dags. You do need help that is for sure......}

24 May 2015 22:58:22
Ed002 is deffinately Rachel heyho flint

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - that's the woman cricketer isn't it? I had to google it as I couldn't remember who it was. Wasn't she on Question of Sport a lot?}

24 May 2015 23:35:16
You are not wrong Ed, I need as much help as possible :-)

And she was indeed a cricketer.

Think she got honoured by the Queen too.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I was up for an award from Queen Lizzy meself once, but she said you are honoured enough having dags visit your site so no need of the OBE.}

24 May 2015 23:46:23
Yeah he was pretty regular team member on question of sport Ed001 :-) I remember Ed002 saying during the season she was pushing 60 yrs old so I put 12 and 4 together and came up with 9.
But must admit having the totally wrong sport does make my theory a little less reliable, so rather than deffinately Rachel she could be Dickie Davis of world of sport fame?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - DIckie Davis! Now there is a blast from the past. World of Sport was quality TV, they don't make it like that any more. Though I think you were closer with the cricketer.}

25 May 2015 00:38:36
Ed001,

You are very correct my friend.

Let's just call it a mutual privilege :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - your modesty does you great credit dags.}

24 May 2015 18:41:47
Big thank you to all the EDs for all your hard work throughout the season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate, though your season isn't over yet!}

24 May 2015 18:05:34
Got a ticket for the Final next week - really looking forward to the game and hoping we utilise Sanchez, Ozil and Theo on the big Wembley pitch

Let's end the season with a bang and a celebration

Believable2 Unbelievable0

24 May 2015 17:12:53
Ronaldo has scored 61 goals this season.

If you put that into contrast (league only),
Man Utd have scored 62 this season and every team below them in Prem has scored less.

Amazing.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

24 May 2015 16:36:41
Unfortunately I can't watch the game today so going forward who's playing where?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 May 2015 17:01:30
Ozil and Sanchez wide.

Theo up top, replaced halfway through 2nd half by Olly.

24 May 2015 16:04:00
Stoke 5 Liverpool 0 HT.

Jeez.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

24 May 2015 15:45:08
Anyway,

So, like I have always said, Theo is a top boy.

Pay attention G62, lol.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 May 2015 15:57:30
I have a note for 1404, who called me clueless and some other stuff when I said that Walcott was better than Sterling and that I's rather have a character like Theo at Arsenal than Sterling. The stats don't lie - Walcott is a million times better than Sterling

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 16:07:07
Hilarious, west brom have been totally woeful at best
What stats? hit me with them mate
Theo hasn't strung enough games together to even have stats

Note for Ozilbaggins, anyone who puts 'a million times better' when trying to prove a point is clearly clueless

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 16:17:34
Ozil baggins wins, because of his name...

Agree1 Disagree0

24 May 2015 16:27:56
Haha 1404 you know mate the stats mate as I posted them all on here. Unless I remember wrongly, you were dishing it out in large spoonfuls:) Never mind, it's all good

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 16:34:57
I don't think you can really compare them.

Sterling was great last season but only because he had biteboy and a fully fit Sturbridge in front of him.

Theo has been out for a year and has only played a bit part since January.

So, a comparison is unfair.

A fully fit Theo versus a fully fit Sterling?

Theo every day for me, but I take G62's point from previous posts, Theo is beyond potential, he has to start proving his class from now.

Today might be a turning point in Theo's career.

Here's hoping.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 16:49:51
Thats 1.5 million a goal over the last 18 months we've paid him, ah but he's been out injured I hear you say! OK its £100,000 every 2 minutes he's played, Ranaldo would like that deal.
And he wants a pat rise :-)
Of course your right Dags he must deliver from now on but also he should EARN a pay rise not just simply demand one.
If today adds a few million on his transfer value :-) cash in NoW!

Agree1 Disagree0

24 May 2015 17:07:02
I hear you G62 and you make a fair point.

But would hate to see Theo sold, he is a game changer and a proper 'get dust on ya boots' winger.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 17:12:46
To be fair I really trust in Arsene. If he decides to sell then it's time. If he doesn't then he can still see something. Just think let's take into the account quite the majority of people on this site. Then this season we wouldn't have had monreal, Rambo, giroud, ozil, Wilshere, theo maybe. That's on the top of my head. So thankfully Arsene makes these calls not some of our quick with the axe fans lol

Agree2 Disagree0

24 May 2015 18:45:28
Dags and D16 you both make a lot of sense in what up you say, I'm just not very good with player's who take the pick out of the club on or off the pitch.
Players like Gibbs who through no fault of his own prehaps just ain't really good enough to a premier league wining left back at the moment I've all the time in the world for, Jenks and Calum are two others who fall into that bracket. They give 100% of what they have to give to Arsenal football club and not one moments disrespect to the club.
Theo for me falls into the horrible Dutchman mould of "" never mind how good you've been to me how much MORE can I squeeze from you ".
It just upsets me to see it and I might well be an out of date fool but I just couldn't give into him and his mercenary total disrespect for Arsenal who have done him nothing but good dispite his 9 mostly underachieving years on our payroll

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 18:56:10
Ok champ haha

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 19:50:35
G69' "he wants a pat rise" I don't think pat plays anymore mate :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 21:13:18
G69 just so you're aware I'm not disagreeing with you. I've felt it maybe time to cash in on him actually. But what I'm saying is got to trust what Arsene does. today has made me question getting rid of him. However he doesn't deserve a huge pay rise ATM. He was on good form or injury. However for what he's on that should be what we expect if not more

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 21:14:57
Fair comment G62,

I don't always pay much attention to players wanting 'pay rises', as you never know if its paper talk.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 21:21:11
394 I'd love to say that was just for you but sadly it was another oooops mate :-)
At least you know where you are with me, I'm not one of those inconsistent smellers

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 21:43:38
D16 your right mate Arsene does seem to have things under control with Walcott setting a deadline and all, sign a one year extension on current terms and use that year to show us why he's worth more money would seem a good solution to me.
If true Kos is on 3 million a year how can Theo possibly ask for double that?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 21:46:15
You probably have it right Dags mate

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 15:22:32
Ha theo must of read this page

24 May 2015 14:57:29
Always thought Mike Ashley was from Newcastle

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 May 2015 13:28:30
Paul merson has hit the nail on the head

Sterling is not as good as he thinks that's why he's looking for his big money move now

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i think hes really good malaga, but like always his blood sucking agent is pulling the strings for his own benefit mate..

24 May 2015 13:38:44
Why doesn't he get rid of his agent if he doesn't agree with him

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the players cant see it mate, the vultures that agent are poison the guys minds against their clubs..

24 May 2015 13:51:42
Rodgers is worse than his agent and sterling

Agree1 Disagree0

24 May 2015 10:31:52
Vidal25m , spider, 25m or free Sami khedira what what u lot go for Ian torn between Vidal and Sami

Believable1 Unbelievable0

24 May 2015 10:49:50
Vidal for me

Agree1 Disagree0

24 May 2015 10:53:10
Spyder most likely, knows the premier league and would be desperate to prove himself at a big club.
Vidal very good player but unlikely to join us and Khedira want kelter more than medals so utd would seem his best option, he will get what he wants most there

Agree1 Disagree0

24 May 2015 11:04:08
I'd say easily Vidal

Agree1 Disagree0

25 May 2015 12:09:27
Why would you pay £25 mil for Vidal, a 28 year old midfielder, when you could get Khedirha, a 28 year old midfielder, on a freebie?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 10:07:36
So the lasg day of the season hate this timd of year. Come on the goons let's go out with a bang. On the bright finished above man u agaain.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 May 2015 14:35:40
Unless you are in the FA Cup ;-))

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 08:34:40
So Arsene has set a deadline for Theo to sign a new contract by, personally I hope it was yesterday.
A couple of years back when we were in the same situation with him I was desperate for him to stay and realise his potential with us but since then we've moved forward and Theo has stood still and is still all just potential.
Pay rise? For what exactly, the sooner he's gone the better in my opinion.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 May 2015 09:10:14
To be fair G62 he has been injured for most of that time and as far as I can remember he was in the first team playing well until he was injured against those from the Dark Side! Hope he stays can be in first team or at least quality cover. As for pay rise NO! COYG

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 09:11:22
He's not world class move him on

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 09:44:43
Thats my big gripe with Theo no show Sussex maye, he wants a pay rise for being out injured and scoring against spurs?
How low his expectations are of himself and his achievements to date if he feels worthy of a pay rise for his contribution to the greatest football club in the world.
Theo who? Get rid of greedy under achievers and invest in those who realise how lucky they and what an honour it is to be an Arsenal player.
100 k a week not enough? that's 3 million a year take home pay, I don't think he's ever likely to need a food bank even if he was to accept our pathetic wages. Get rid.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 08:32:15
I know that we no longer have to look at freebies for our squad but obviously if someone good came along g we should snap them up. With that in mind, should we make an offer for micah Richards who I believe will be out of contract this summer?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 May 2015 09:01:27
I have never understood why so many people want him. He is lazy, injury prone and nowhere near good enough for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 09:07:35
On the face of it yes deffinately as I've always felt ability doesn't just vanish but confidence and desire can go into hibernation and need waking up.
But Ed001 has said a few times that his attitude is poor last in first out of training so in that respect he's a big gamble especially for us as we've only just discovered a real work ethic within the team so don't need any bad Influence's to take us backwards.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 09:20:08
He's trouble

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 10:55:14
Sami Khedirha for me. Not sure if we actually need him, but a World Cup winner and ex RM player on a freebie must be worth a punt. Reckon he could play in the Cazorla role if necessary.....

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 01:08:04
If sevilla had finished 4th and won the Europa league, who gets the extra spot, the losing finalist or the 5th place team? Thanks
