Dont know why but I've got a feeling it's going to be a Arsenal v West Ham final.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Noticed you haven't said which year, so hedging your bets a bit.

26 Jan 2015 00:27:35
G62,

A mate of mine, West Ham United fan, has been saying, even before FACup began, that its going to be AFC/WHU final.

He, (and you) may be correct.

Here's hoping.

Plusses today. Rosicky, orchestrated everything, walcott, he needs game time and every game he will improve, Akpom, came on and did a great little job

Lol Steve,

You are my hero.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are my demi god dags.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a room ffs!

Bambam,

You had a tenner on 1-4?

Well, you got the 5 goals correct mate :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jan 2015 21:45:12
C'mon people, can't believe I'm reading negative posts.

Chelcrap were 2-0 up at home to Bradford and lost 2-4.

Man Titty lost at home to Boro.

Moan Utd have a replay.

Southampton lost at home.

spurs were 1-0 up at home to bottom team with 7 mins to go, and lost 1-2.

Liverpool have a squeaky bum replay.

We had a banana skin game away to Brighton, players coming back from injury, players playing out of position.

And we won and are through to next round.

No dissecting the result, no negative comments, no 'he was poor'.

We are through. End of.

Cheer the phuck up.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Dags I don't think they are negative posts, just observations of their opinion. When it is bad, people are positive, and that's not bad either, its what they see. People are too defensive. Chill. Its good to have opposite views, whatever.

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to be honest, if ozil has been on the weights, he hides it well. I still think he looks like a stick and has about as much strength as my granny.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jan 2015 21:30:21
He played well I thought today. Plenty of good passes and it was encouraging after a lengthy lay off. Really man stop picking the negatives in everything lol

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 21:35:59
Very harsh Steve.

On your Granny.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shhhh don't tell know one, she was a russian weight lifter. But you still know what I meant.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 20:27:16
Easy win tight score line though. A lot of the old arsenal again today after the new arsenal last week. Still a win is a win.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jan 2015 21:08:12
Had it been exactly the same team I would agree with you but it's a cup game with a cup team with two players back from long term injury, a right back who isn't a right back and a centre back who is a left back.

You really need to cheer TFU.

Agree0 Disagree0

We rested players as an awful lot of people on here said we should in the week leading up to the game, at times we looked good at others we looked vulnerable pretty much as expected really.
Villa then spurs will say more about what we learned from the city game.
Today was job done and players who've been out got minute's and others got rested all in all a good job done

Agree0 Disagree0

Red dog, I usually respect peoples opinion, and what ever I say, I am never disrespectful toward people, you have your opinion I have mine, end of. Have a lovely evening.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 20:06:55
Not a transfer rumour, just something interesting that I found out today. Arsenal U14's played against Southampton U14's today. Brooklyn Beckham played at right back for us and more importantly. Thierry Henry was the Assisstant Manager

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jan 2015 22:12:16
thanks mate, that is interesting

Agree0 Disagree0

My girlfriends son played with little becks at Arsenal, he has left and was much better than Becks jr - he's not bad but will never make it on merit

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 19:37:10
What's the problem. We scored twice fell asleep scored again job done

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2015 00:32:32
Exactly.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 19:31:59
Walcott and Ramsey need to play more intelligently.

Walcott, hit that volley in one touch. You should know there's a man coming.

Walcott, on counter attacks, pass them on the outside and slot it across the 6-yard box. Stop going towards the middle all the time where the defenders are. I know you always want to score, but ffs, you're a winger first then striker. maybe

Ramsey, move the ball faster so you don't have to dribble aimlessly to the corner and make it harder for yourself.

On a positive-note, Rosicky immense. Brings another gear.
And Coquelin. wow. Reads the game well, positions himself well, can pass well, and can put in a jolly good tackle (I got hyped when he put one on Ince). Keep being the enforcer.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jan 2015 00:34:25
Coq is looking like a terrific player.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 18:30:30
Poor in game management today. The players need to start taking responsibility in games and realise that we don't always have to go looking for the 3/4 goal. Better teams will punish us.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry G95 as this isn't a prely to your posts but for some reason their is no Post option for Banter on my main screen.
AS it happens I agree mainly with your post but thought it would be likely with tiring players in key areas (Ozil and Walnut).

Wanted to say that I was quietly excited by the short part played by Chuka Akbom he looks to be a real
top Arsenal player in the making. Haven't seen him play before but I would like to see him get some game time . When he came on it was't exactly a good time as Brighton were at us but he still showed a lot of potential.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 19:09:27
In a weekend of major cup upsets, and bearing in mind it was an away game that had 'banana skin' written all over it, take the win without too much criticism mate.

Not having a pop, but its a cup game.
Qualification to next round and no injuries is all that counts.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair I don't see what Arsene got wrong, I think this weekend has shown if the top teams approach the game in the right frame of mind they will almost certainly go through but the very moment you relax and the smaller club get a reason to believe in themselves they become raging bull that's difficult to contain

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 19:49:46
We will play a better team against better teams, jeez, it's the FA Cup.

Some of you guys would be moaning if you won £20 million on the lottery and the week before the Jackpot was £30 million. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

What did you think to the celebration's Red, too little or just enough? :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 21:02:18
No they were fine although maybe Rosicky shouldn't have given his shirt to one of the awesome away fans, after all they hadn't travelled that far and didn't really sing much.;-)

It was a shame that Bradford let themselves down yesterday going completely over the top and showing a total lack of ambition.

But hey each to their own. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

A) G62, I didn't mention Arsene. I said the players. Don't try and spin this as something against AW. We know how touchy people on here are about that.

B) Red, do you aim for an argument? A better team would have put us out today because of poor in game management. There's no need to be so attacking when 2-0, 3-1 up. That is not rocket science.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 21:39:05
Nobody said it was rocket science but you Wenger out guys just love to moan for the sake of it half the time, truly does my nut!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry 9i misunderstood your post, aapologies mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Read the post. It's says 'the players in game management'. Nothing to do with AW in or out.

You're twisting the post (again) to make it into an AW in or out debate.

Agree0 Disagree0

G95 I think you are spot on, we were saying the same thing. Its not a negative, its fact. there's no negativity in saying what is obvious.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2015 04:50:53
I'm twisting nothing, those that want Wenger out invariably post in the negative, whether that be about him, the team or a certain player.

That is when there is always a positive such as winning a difficult cup tie against lower league opposition away from home.

It's like you guys assume we simply don't see what is obvious yet we simply look at the fact we're through, players made good come backs from injury, we played some good football.

Yes we got a little complacent but we're through. It's the FA Cup.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 18:35:44
Happy as Larry.

Great to have Theo and Mesut back, and on the score sheet.

Typical cup game and we are in the next round.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 19:53:35
Me too yet people are still moaning. Unreal.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 18:09:34
When you look at the squad. Injuries aside. I really think we have the most depth and attacking talent in the league.

Nearly fumbled the ball, but Rosicky another level today. Such a massive fan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jan 2015 19:12:57
Totally agree Bilbo.

I think we are seeing the best of Rosicky because he doesn't play regularly.
But when he does, he is a top boy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that applies across the pitch DG. At the very top level I don't see how we can expect players who sit on the bench week in week out to come in and be at the top of their game from minute 1. It must take time to settle back in. I think this applies to Monreal. Some of the judgement on him has been unfair as it's been based on minimal or disjointed appearances. I am not claiming he is the best full back at the club, but he certainly looks a lot better when he is playing regularly.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 21:48:22
Totally agree Epping.

Monreal has played everywhere across back 4 and always gives 100%.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 18:03:59
Good cup tie in the end, Arsene didn't look happy at some of the totally 150% committed tackles that were flying in from Brighton but what did he expect :-) not sure our injury worries were of too much concern to Brighton

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jan 2015 17:56:10
Hopefully no injuries, just glad to get through

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jan 2015 17:36:51
Bugger

There goes my tenner

Believable0 Unbelievable0

3 2 and whoever scores next will be in the 5th round imo, its a real proper cup tie now!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 17:27:58
Now 3-1 up, one more guys please

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jan 2015 14:01:16
What a day of shocks the cup has thrown up this year! Just hope we aren't next!

The way it's going I can see another one in the replay at old Trafford and United knocking Cambridge out! :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jan 2015 13:25:00
Signing a striker would make no sense what so ever to me, Giroud is our top man whether people like it or not and we are no where near as good without as with him in the team, if he's injured Sanchez Welbeck and Theo will all cover as well as bringing in a 20 million back up striker who will not do what Giroud does so well for us.
In my opinion its time to put up the SORRY WE HAVE NO STRIKER VACANCIES sign

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree to the extent its not our priority and we need a cb and dm first. But if there's a decent amount of money left after and we do want to challenge for the prem next year, I can't see us doing it with just giroud. Take city for example, they have aguero, dzeko and jovetic, but still bring in bony.

Agree0 Disagree0

City like to play with 2 strikers so need back up more than us, also having world class strikers on the bench just in case does there game no good at all, strikers need to play regularly to be on top of there game.

Look at last week, they threw all their strikers on against our patched up leaky defence and couldn't hit a barn door with a tank!

If a real top quality goal machine became available I would take him in a heart beat but unfortunately Giroud won't sit around, we have goals in our team from all over which is why the striker position is not top priority.

Agree0 Disagree0

We could spend 50 million on a 30 goal a season striker to replace giroud and easily end up scoring less goals as a team, what's the point.
giroud is like a good pair of knee's, vital but not really appreciated until missing.
look after your knees, youll miss them when there gone

Agree0 Disagree0

G62 that's worse than my car analogy, you are on form today, however agree totally again - we have a great group of players, a couple need to up their game and keeping players of the physio bed is key.

Lets get behind our players now!

4-1 Today to us OG x2, theo x1 and kos with the other.

COYG

Agree0 Disagree0

Gunner you used to talk so much sense. Keep taking the meds. Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course we are worse without Giroud he's our only striker I feel. Otherd are not centre forwards. Higuain signing would of improved us

People saying if we get a 30goal a season striker we could score less. Nonsense. If Suarez joined last summer we would be a different animal

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 18:31:38
G62,

Knees? Really?

I praise you for your analogies, but that was a yellow card offence mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dags enjoy the power and beauty of your knee's, but never mind.
You will not appreciate the power and beauty of your knee's until there gone.
Dance! Even if you have no where to do it but your own front room

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 19:43:39
Ed,

Please ban G62 lol.

Only joking mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Done, as requested.}

Gunner giroud was awful again today. Akpom did more in 20 mins than he did in the first 70. I just don't see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 21:13:16
Good man Ed :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

G62 I had an uncle who had artificial legs but real feet. .

Agree0 Disagree0

:-) now that is funny Epping mate, made me proper chuckle . just got to wait for an opportunity to slip that into a serious conversation at some point, will either raise a smile or blow a few minds :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 12:36:21
There really is no pleasing some fans!

We had CD problems, Kos was injured he's now back and we sign one of the best CD in the Spanish league.

We all wanted a DM, Le Coq has stepped up and Ramsey is back and proved against city he can play there.

We sign a top class kid with future prospects in DM and can play CB too.

We now have Kos, Merts, Paulista, Chambers and Monreal as well as Debuchy when he is back to cover CD.

So now we need more attacking players as we have let 3 players go who hardly kicked a ball and that was whilst Theo and Ozil were injured!

Come on Guys stop whinging!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And BTW, most of our problems were caused by injuries to key players, most of those are back or on their way back now so before anyone says "we need more cover incase of injuries", we have cover in most positions and players which cover more than one position well (inc paulista who plays full back too).

How many of you keep a spare car in your garage incase yours breaks down? and how many of you that do have a third car incase that one breaks down too.

Rant over now - sorry

Agree0 Disagree0

Happy with what we have now especially since the emergence of Le Coq.
As for the car analogy 337! If you had a car that broke down and was off the road as often and as long as our players you'd either need an entire fleet or a very understanding boss mte :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol that analogy sucks.if I had millions in the bank as arsenal do I'd have 5 or 6 cars so it wouldn't be a problem lol :)

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm actually one of those with 3 spare vehicles, however you don't want my insurance, tax and servicing bills do you g62?

Agree0 Disagree0

My point is I guess that there are 11 players in a team, if you have cover for all of those its 22 players, add another keeper that's 23, full squad!

We have people moaning that we need a winger, we have Theo, santi, Ozil, welbeck, gnabry, ox, sanchez even gibbs and Debouchy that can all play there. My maths tells me if we have 2 wingers on the pitch, cover for both is 4 players, but we have at least 8 that can play there and apparently we need more!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol 337 :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry 337 I can't cope with my own bills mate let alone take on yours as well, keeping 3 pub landlords and 2_kebab shop owners in business doesn't come cheap mate.
Of course we don't need any attacking players at all mate for me LB and Keeper would be top of my list come summer unless Szczesney and Gibbs suddenly up their consistency levels 200% .
DM is on hold as LE Coq might just be it

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed totally g62, I have a sneaky feeling a deal for Reid may be in the pipeline but more likely in the summer with Merts departing, as for DM we don't play that way really we just need someone who can slot in there and do a job, a traditional CM all rounder, box to box player.

I think AW has done a good job signing defenders that can play in more than one position, just need to sign a new physio team (chelseas female physio is top of my xmas list)

Agree0 Disagree0

I love the idea of Reid replacing Orville 337 mind you I love the idea of a bookcase replacing him as long as it doesn't collapse when the ball comes at it :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Orville the duck was my role model - how dare you! :-P

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 10:20:05
Carzola has more than earned the right to remain playing in the middle and to put him back out wide to accommodate Ozil or for any other reason would be wrong.
Campbell leaving doesn't really affect anything as like poldolski he never really played. Theo Danny Ox Gnarby are more than enough wide players to have competing for at very best 2 places.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jan 2015 10:32:24
I don't think we can count gnarby though, where has he been all season?
We had squad depth with polio n Joel, all fighting for places was healthy for us, if we get injuries to two of these players ( which is inevitable with our track record) we'll be pretty goosed for the second half of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 12:20:35
Pointless having a team full of attacker's, we needed another defender in the summer, and now we've finally got one.

Our squads packed to the brim, we needed to move players on before signing players we actually need.
And sending poldi, Campbell and sanogo on loan can only do them good if they get on the pitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 12:25:11
Gnabry is back in full training with the team which will have been taken into account when letting Campbell go.

I want to see Cazorla and Sanchez watching today's game at home with their feet up and Ozil and Walcott playing a big part.

Cazorla should never darken the grass of the left wing again and has a position that Ozil will need to fight tooth and nail to get back off him.

Chamberlain was nursing a slight groin injury so bench at most for him. Ospina to remain in goal and Bellerin at RB. Chambers stay as cover on the bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

I get what your saying but it only takes a couple of ugly tackles to make us a little short up top and I for one don't want to see santi or ozil put on the wing again (it makes my eyes bleed) because they struggle there big time.

Wouldn't mind seeing g-nab get a little run out today If all goes to plan, great talent!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 00:07:26
We need to sign the brentford keeper, what a save!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Jan 2015 22:29:39
Just had a phone call from the wife to say be careful on the way home as its just been on the radio and there's a mad man driving the wrong way up.the motorway, I said "what do you mean A mad man there's hundreds of them

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Very good, now give dags his joke book back please!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2015 22:14:32
If Joel campell is going on loan surely that leaves us short In Attack 3 forwards out one has to come In

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sanchez, walcott, ox, welbeck, gnabry all play on the wing. That's short?

Agree0 Disagree0

Debuchy and gibbs could also play there if needed.

You have to realise there are only so many squad places and we have been screaming for defensive reinforcements, Podolski, Sanogo and Campbell have barely kicked a ball and that was whilst Theo and Ozil were injured!

Agree0 Disagree0

How many are world class we need another on my eyes

Agree0 Disagree0
