DAGS

That Remeeeee bloke couldn't cross a road let alone a football

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jun 2014 00:03:16
Mate, so unfair.

He only played for about 15 mins and had a few decent crosses and nearly scored.

He's my boy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that all it was Dags 15 minutes! Seemed much longer :-)

hi guys. I know ozil didn't set the bpl alight last season and he took a lot of criticism but can you imagine playing with ronaldo and benzema making great runs all match to giroud and sanogo being so static and slow. ozil is world class but relies on quick or intelligent forwards to suit his game and looks very average if he doesn't have that but if you do have that in the team then he is unplayable and simply the best playmaker in world football. so buy a quick striker and go win the league gunners!

The captain of Uruguay says indecent what incident? Nothing happened there was no biting!
Oh ok as we were then its not as w though there's any witnesses or anything

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jun 2014 20:31:23
Some of the stuff coming out of his agent, the Uruguayan press and those connected to him can only be described as embarrassing. How they can have witnessed what happened yet still spout this drivel is shameful.

If there was ever a time for a person that needed to stand up and be honest it is now and it is Saurez.

After all he achieved as a footballer last season he felt the need to open his mouth after the win against England when silence would have been golden.

He has disgraced a club and it's fans who stood behind him and deserves whatever fate awaits him and in my honest opinion if he continues to deny he did it they should double his punishment and tell him that is why it was doubled.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im with you on that jenny, its time for a bit of honesty and humility...but im not holding my breath..

25 Jun 2014 21:39:33
I agree, the more they try to deny it the more embarrassing it is becoming for them, Every man and his dog clearly seen Suarez bite him.
I'm just waiting to see what punishment FIFA dish out.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2014 22:13:31
This is exactly why I had my solo 'say no to Suarez' campaign last year when we were looking to sign him, the guy is a total embarrassment.

Agree0 Disagree0

I beg to differ 1404, far from solo mate I and I'm sure a few others had plenty to say in a very anti Saurez to Arsenal way.
Careful on that pedestal there mate

Agree0 Disagree0

What the hell are going on about G62? I don't climb on pedestals, I knock people off them.

Evening all,

France vs Equador at 9pm.

I'm going to watch Greizmann very closely as I think he could be a real star for us! Cuadardo at £40m looks good for Colombia but seems hugely overpriced.

Greizmann for around £25m would do me!

Also it'll be nice to see big Kos playing and Giroud off the bench.

I do hope nothing bad happens to Sagna before he kicks a ball for Man City too.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - now why dont i think that last sentence rings true?..

Haha Ed, I was being a little mischievous to be fair.

I have no problem or vendetta against Sagna. He served our club well for 7yrs and I geniunely wish him all the best.

Be a shame if he did fall and break his face on the advertising boards though.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - be even funnier if he done it by tripping over his wallet greeny..

Ed025 how could you say such things?

He has openly stated he did'nt do it for the money.

Maybe he did it because he wants to win things and we do. Nevermind we just won the world cup so if it was'nt for the money why did he do it i'm confused.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - just my opinion gav..

25 Jun 2014 18:42:18
Watching the Argentina Nigeria game and there's a young Argentine player with bags of talent.

He's scored two goals and played really well. He's obviously only just starting out in the game as they subbed him off just after the hour.

Looks a promising player for the future though? Maybe Wenger should have a look.

Didn't quite catch his name?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jun 2014 19:11:10
That Nesi (spelling?) guy in the nr. 10?

He looked okay, but is a bit too small for the Prem. me thinks. and I don't think he suits our play style.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's only young. He might sprout up a bit in height.

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly, I think Bojan will be better, on loan an Ajax at the moment. Keep an eye out guys

Agree0 Disagree0

Akie, you on football manager again?

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys you know the rumour is Messi was going to join us same time as Cesc but the government would give him a work permit as he wasn't an exceptional talent! ( at the time he didn't have Spanish passport and was too young to have any caps )

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey Greeny, don't knock it! Found a lot of stars on that game! ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

I love how everyone rips football manager, but the fact is its scouting network is one of the top 20 in the world. and the public has access to it.

is it gospel? no.
do they actually scout players and put a rating on them? yes

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought that Nessi guy was pretty average tbh.

Now that Angel cake fella was ok and as a fairly unknown player must be right up wengers street.

What you think lads AW could bid £1.01 and he may activate his release clause =/

Ed do you think we will buy Alexis Sanchez.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I really don't want to speculate.}

Has he signed for Liverpool?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed027's Note - I'm sure it would be in the news if he had

Cheers ed., just Phil Thompson trying to make Liverpool fans feel better after yesterday's madness.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was phil thompsons nose growing (even more) during this interview?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2014 06:29:05
Well I thought they were filming Phil Thompson in 3D. I had to step back from my TV and move any ornaments away from it.
Jeez what does a person have to have done in a past life to deserve a hooter like that.?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - when they were giving out noses, he thought they said roses...and asked for a whopping big red one.. :)

25 Jun 2014 18:01:05
Hi ed any truth that arsenal have inquired for Alexis Sanchez? Would be a great signing

Believable0 Unbelievable0

ED002 can you use the search engine via your mobile site?

Sanchez now 1/1 to join Liverpool

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We were favourites to sign Hazard, Mata, Fellaini and Higuain to name but a few.

Means nothing!

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this because of Phil Thompson? Only I think he has said things like this before and they haven't come off.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thompson was a god how dare you slate him!

Owe wait did you say Phil as in I got a big red nose Thompson. Sorry I thought you ment Daily Thompson.

Personally I don't rate Sanchez I'm hoping for us to sign Balotelli, I think he can mature greatly at Arsenal and has the potential to be a great, But are the rumours about Puma chipping in and paying some of the transfer true? And are we any closer to signing Aurier?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sanchez is powerful, has bags of pace and his finishing ability is outstanding! Just what we need.

25 Jun 2014 16:58:22
So I'm normally the first person to state that people shouldn't trust Wenger, not in a spiteful way, but in a sense of the guy has a superb poker face.
He can say we're not interested in a player whilst that guys had his medical and is dotting the I's and crossing the t's.

But this comment over Balotelli sounded ominous.
Just something about how it was said.
He's either super interested and trying to tie up a deal ASAP, or he's honesty not considering Mario.

That's just my thoughts.

But it's fine.
Didn't want the young, incredibly talented, unplayable on his day, soon to be world class Mario Balotelli anyway.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jun 2014 13:47:05
How about Martinez and Cuadrado for ST and LW? Sign em up Arsene

Believable0 Unbelievable0

James Rodriguez is a QUALITY player that I can see playing for Arsenal.

Former Liverpool defender Phil Thompson was on Newstalk.ie this morning and spoke about the Luis Suarez bite incident, the England performance and mentioned a name on everyone's lips at the moment, Alexis Sanchez.
According to Thompson the Sanchez transfer from Barcelona is a deal done, whether this relates to the Suarez situation or not remains to be seen but it could mean some genuine good news for Liverpool fans.
Thompson said on the Breakfast show this morning: "Even just yesterday I had things from people, newspaper guys with their ear very close to the ground at Liverpool, saying that the Sanchez deal is actually done".
Edd any truth in this I really rate Sanchez hope we get him

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I heard that interview as well and would remain sceptical about what he said he did not really sound like someone in the know and was blagging it. Time will tell!

Just had a call from season ticket renewals

I said I wasn't sure about renewing as I'm fed up of renewing early and then us not investing properly in the team

The sales guy said he understood but if we get the players he has heard we are getting then I don't want to miss this season!

Could have just been sales chat but he said that he would call me back in a fortnight (my renewal deadline) and says he is certain I will of changed my mind!

Not exactly a rumour but thought I would share with you

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Marketing, never doubt a salesman, he can sell you garbage and make you think you got a deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Season ticket renewal was 1st of June?

Agree0 Disagree0

Had pretty much the same patter a couple of days ago from them. Funny they have been saying that for at least the last 2-3 seasons I just hope its true this year :) Gullible much

I have 6 season tickets including club level for my business so they always give me an extension as it costs me nearly 10k a season. Always leave til the last minute as they normally upgrade my standard seats!

Glad to see the countries of our potential targets (Italy and Ivory Coast) are going home early to ensure they join our existing English and Spanish players in getting in a rest before pre season. Just Germany and France left to go.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hahah. I like your outlook. come on nigeria you can win the world cup

25 Jun 2014 09:04:46
Now Italy are out we should find out if we are going to be treated to Mario or not sooner rather than later, I'm sure Arsene will bring us a prezi back from his holiday in Brazil.
I hope he's having a nice time and comes home in a generous mood.
If its Balotelli I'll tidy up my room for a month and put the bins out

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I hope you mean presents plural as we need 3-4 generous gifts from Wenger!

{Ed025's Note - he is not father christmas greeny...more scrooge.. :)

25 Jun 2014 08:28:33
While I love players like Sanchez and Di Maria, and they're linked with us, I'm not sure we need a winger this summer. Or do we?

Right now our options are Walcott, Podolski, Cazorla, Chamberlain, Gnabry, Campbell, Rosicky and Özil. Out of these Walcott, Podolski, Gnabry and Campbell are primarily wingers and Chamberlain is 50-50 winger and a midfielder. But still, we're pretty well stocked. So the question is, who'll leave (if we sign somebody)?

You could point out that Gnabry and Campbell haven't got much experience in the pl so they could be loaned out. Also Cazorla and Podolski have been linked with moves away.

The way I see it Cazorla should go. He's been magnificent for us but the moment Özil came onboard meant Cazorla's future with us would be put into question. He's not suited to play as a winger and is too good to sit on the bench. Replace him with Di Maria and thank him for these two great years.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We were completely pace less last year. Was one of our main downfalls and cost us when teams sat back and we had to pace to beat them on the wings.

At least one winger is a must for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can see Poldi and Santi leaving for a st and lw coming in!

I'm hearing that FIFA can impose a ban of up to 24 matches or 2 years on Suarez. In my opinion it's the third time that we know of so how many times does FIFA need to impose the maximum on him. Secondly if Suarez is not leaving England to play abroad I will eat my hat after he said that his two goals against England were basically a pay back for how he has been treated in England. That tells us all about this guy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Suarez might have done this to get a move as most commentators are saying, but he does not realise the magnitude of this event.

He was proving to be a big player, in terms of his output perhaps the 3rd biggest player behind Messi and Ronaldo and while the club was recovering from his impact, the season before, they have just been dragged into it all over again.

Sponsers don't like their logo being given a bad image and suarez wearing their logo does just that, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to know this.

any liverpool supporter who has an ounce of class will want shot of him.

sadly the clubs who need to make the bids, pending the length of his ban, will adjust the transfer fee accordingly.

liverpool keeping the player now will just mean the club value the player over the values of the club, and that is the most damning effect a club can take.

while it looked like a stroke of genius in keeping him last year, it proves that once again the player has come back to bite them literally.

to just know the seriousness of this offense, its over every news channel, you can switch on to, and for all the wrong reasons, not to forget that the name liverpool is being mentioned more than the world cup or uruguay, shows how important it is for them to handle this the right way.

not related but was listening to a radio interview with a senior VP of Barclays and his assesment of the situation, and what he said in a nutshell was, without naming the brand sponser for liverpool, that the financial impact a hate figure can have wearing a logo representing your company is ten fold. you have clients and other major organisations who would pressurise you to impact those decisions, which do not involve you, however has financial implications.

so even if the sponsors don't want to tell liverpool what to do, they may have to due to other external pressure, and this ultimately will lead to contractual penalties, and he did say that the club will be aware of this.

quite a big effect if I might say, one small bite for Suarez is one giant wallop for liverpool.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank god we didn't sign him up. I think? Na who am I kidding would still be chuffed if he was an Arsenal player haha

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2014 00:31:40
Lots ofMosquitos in my room, I'm Getting more bitten than cheilini.
The problem with Suarez is his hunger for the game, although you could never claim he was toothless.
My local butcher tells me that Suarez only ever goes for shoulder
Etc. etc.
