Top reply Ed, well said.

Seriously Raver?

Mate, you haven't finished above us in 19 season's.
We played you 3 times last season, and won all 3 without you scoring a goal.

Saturdays game is massive. For Spurs not us.

I'm glad your taking the micky mouse cup seriously, someone needs to.
And as for coming to the "prawn sandwich stadium" I'll take it over no heart lane anyday.
How many years since you finished above us?
Your just a small fish in a big pond.

Well said Dags

Remind me again, what have you done to make your little club, the biggest. Really I do like your dedication. Or is it blind love.

Someone seems a bit sad and lonely and needing attention. "Look at me, I'm a fan of a proper club too, honest". Come back when you've got some grownup banter.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just like to point out that this was copied and pasted from your page onto our page Raver a few days ago. You might not have seen it as unlike the spurs page this one updates more than every 2 days as there are numerous passionate Gooners on here but here it is. I think you'll find it familiar.

pochetino OUT we are rubbish. we are going backwards. we were playing better under tim sherwood. I also think joe lewis and levy should sell up to someone who will take us forward. I hope they are happy with the dross we have at the club. I think we are in for a big hiding next week against arsenal

the raver

Agree0 Disagree2

Well that looks to me like you need to work on your poker face son. I'm sure though everyone on here is in agreement with your statement. You should post here more often ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

The raver, you are a sad, sad fan. Only thing I can say is, enjoy your turkey twizzlers at Doom and Gloom Lane!

So it's thursday, close to 48 hours to kick off against the 2nd Team of North London. It's been the quietest iv seen it on here for a while! Is this nerves for Saturday?
For me this is a must win, based on we need the win to create some momentum for the game against Chelsea

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't think it's nerves at all Rocky, We always raise our game for Tottenham. For me, 3 points guaranteed

Agree0 Disagree0

Seeing as i'm on a score prediction roll, I predict we will win 3-1 on saturday, i'm only giving them the 1 because we are short on defenders!

Lets bury the spurs in the ground where they belong.

I think them lot will have a backlash against recent perceived underperformances but we have more than enough to win. Probably a bit quiet because we're all a bit tired and confused by the weird start to the season coming off a summer of optimism. More a wait and see what team will be fielded at this point?

Agree0 Disagree0

337

I'm putting a tenner on that score now.
Let's hope your good run continues.

337, let's hope you are correct again mate.

Just want to throw this out there, there are widespread opinions on this board but I for one would hate for Usmanov to take over and turn charming Arsenal into a Man City or Real Madrid with world cup stars at every position.

It takes a combo of vets, new transfers and youth to build a great culture like we have. If we buy stars for every position then it takes away from the team and we will not be able to recruit great young players like Ramsey, Theo and Ox as they won't trust the system. Look at how Manu is changing - not for the better.

Just a little rant - for what its worth - let's support our boys as is!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Man Utd had to have a squad overhaul in any case, because they paid top dollar for all of their targets it makes them look like Chelsea or Titty?
No, Utd have always paid top dollar for top signings, like Rio, Veron, Berbatov and others. Its just that this season they bought a whole lot at once.

If kids like Blackett, Wilson and Januzaj benefit from having some of the best players in the world around and turn out to be great players themselves, will that make them any less "Manchester United" than before?
No

If Usmanov takes over and funds the purchases of let's say; Hummels, Carvahlo and Lewandowski for example. Do you think the Walcott's, Ramsey's and Wilshere's will become lesser players playing alongside those beasts?
No

What I think would make us different from the other "money bags" if Usmanov should take over is that we have a base which most of the "new money" clubs did not have. We already have young "local" talent in the squad.
We already have a large following. We already have the show piece stadium. We are in a great part of the world. We do not need a new squad, just two or three more worldies in crucial positions.

I could go on, but wont. Its not like we are a poor club anyway. I feel Usmanov is the only one at the club who wants the club to be as big as the fans know it is and should be.

We are not some Americans cash cow.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good reply WR

silent stan is silent.

but when I see or hear usmanov apart from worrying where the ricin is, I always think he seems as passionate a fan as tony fernandes is at qpr.

he is rich so is like just spend. but deep down all he wants is for us to be the best.

Agree0 Disagree0

WR I think you may have missed the point. I agree that Manu like us should buy a star or two each year to compliment the base and freshen the squad. Plus we should buy youths with bags of potential looking for the next big thing as they will stay longer and be loyal.

Now Manutd are just buying across the board ruining their culture and continuity. For us, if we buy too many stars then its the next Ramsay or theo or ox that won't get their chance and in time will stop coming, so we will end up with no base. Its Wenger's loyalty to the kids and giving them the opportunity that makes us attractive. It does not go unnoticed by other players that after gunners leave they always speak well of their time here and the boss's loyalty. That's all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooster mate I hear you. But in recent history Utd's culture has been a winning culture. Whether it be with Cantona, Giggs, Ronaldo, Rooney and Van Persie.

Same with Madrid and Bayern. Its all about winning. Dozens of superstars have graced their fields, won them trophies and left. But the badge still remains.
If winning the league means buying Ozil, Sanchez, Khedira, Hummels, Reus and Barkley in the space of 18 months then so be it. If that bags us two titles in 3 years, do you know who benefits most from that? Arsenal. The club. The badge. The fans

Agree0 Disagree0

Rabbit your so right mate Why don't people realize that Usmanov would be the best thin to happen to us right now

Whatever about money, I'd rather have an Arsenal fan in charge all day than some disinterested person

Usmanov all day for me

25 Sep 2014 20:05:56
Rabbit, fantastic reply.

Agree0 Disagree0

How many stars did Bayern or Barca buy this year. 1 for Bayern and 1-2 for Barca. Why? Because they have a culture and its not possible to buy 4-5 a year and keep your team, like Manu is trying. Just sayin'

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi RR,

Presume the vets are needed because our doctor and physios are so obviously useless given our injury recovery timescales?

Agree0 Disagree0

Neither for me. both had never heard of Arsenal 10 years ago. I don't care that Usmanov has a box and watches every game.he is in it for the money as much as silent Stan. Look back at Usmanov's historic comments. he has always said we need to be big now to get more support in Asia. in other words spend the cash now but cash in for a profit later.I fear the more the likes of Usmanov get control, the more likely we will see pressure for actual premiership games to be played outside of the UK.Now he of course can easily afford to fly to Hong Kong to watch us play a 'home game' but not so good for the rest of the fans. Its just a pipe dream but wouldn't it be nicer if Arsenal was owned by the fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed. As long as one of them is not Piers Morgan ;-))
