carrick 0 assists 0 through passes
fellani 0 assists 0 through passes
cleverley 0 assists 0 through passes

please some one tell me its a sh** joke by the press cause I for one don't want him

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think they are taking the micky. We are after a striker and we are being linked to danny welbeck, blimey if we get him, we are in trouble.

Van Gaal is a very brave man, he will need to be.
I think the board and fans will give him 100% backing but as for the players? Fergie was a dictator and they will take advantage of and betray anything less.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

G62, I think his £6m per year salary will cushion the blow mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mmmok I'd do it for that but on one condition, Rio has to be gone by the time I arrive, can't think of many worse people to have to spend time with

Agree0 Disagree0

If it is van gaal I don't think he will take any descent otherwise I think they will be shipped out. Also with repect I think he is more used to egos than moyes.

Bow Locks. United score a penalty. Rooney. Personally I think Young tripped over his own feet.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Well it's a good job Welbeck was brought down.}

ED 7
on welsh tv it was a dive.
Reminded me of Marodonas header against england, pmsl

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Since when did they have TV's in Wales, do they run on coal or wool? Ashley Young wasn't even on the park when the penalty was given.}

Sorry I meant Welbeck you knew that. LOL. Anyhow he still fell over himself.

Get ready for it.
Our transfer summer window .

'Well we have of course Diaby back, Walcott too, we have Sanogo who will be top quality, Ozil of course will be stronger this year. We have a big squad, and of course we may promote some of the younger players, I feel players like Bellerin and jenkinson will play more and of course we have Zelelem and Gnarbry. We always are looking at the market and if we find top, top quality we will do it, but of course everyone wants these players so it is very difficult.

Yay, way to go!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Realistically for next season we will require:
A keeper
A right back
A centre back
A forward

I expect no more than 4 players. We have youngsters coming through to make up the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems to be a lot "of course" in your Wenger imitation Sussex, maybe replace them with "i believe"

Agree0 Disagree0

Where are you going with that list if we can keep everyone fit all we need is a quality striker

Just watching the Manchester United v Norwich game on TV. I was thinking how boring Saturday and Sundays are when Arsenal are not playing.Mind you Rooney always gives me a laugh! How much! £300 K a week! For what?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

GOLDIE
i was out in manchester and a sexy looking slim fit gorgous, blond said fancy some company, £50.
i walked on
then this fat old trolop, everything going south, bar her fag smoke, said fancy company£300.
then I thought that's why rooney needs £300k

welshgooner, it seems you are of the opinion that Liverpool fans stopped supporting their team when the team wasn't performing? Really? Did you stop supporting Arsenal when they stopped winning trophies? To me, as a Ghanaian, I have never come across any passionate fans, though I think u guys also have awsome ones. I look foward to your reply, and I wish you guys a good end to your season. CHEERS!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

FAMOUS
If I offend you, then i'm sorry
i was ment as a bit of tounge and cheek, Yes the liverpool fan are a top group of fans and are one of the most honest I have met.
But if you read my banter again, youl see that I said that a lad, has sudenly started commenting in the pub about liverpool, I said to him never Knew you where a liverpool suporter.
I have supported arsenal since they did the double in 71.
So I have seen tough times, but have allways worn my colours proudly.
i have changed my pants I have changed my g/fs, (cant offord to charge my wife)
But never my team
Again if I offended you i'm sorry but we are on the ARSENAL banter page

I'm not offended at all mate, just wanted to get it out there. To be honest, I feel very sorry for you though - Your changed pant is doing the trick for Ken Aguero and you are here hoping Everton to slip? . For your changed g/f, I'l try using her as my lucky charm next season lol. Thanks for the quick reply pal, once again I'm not offended at all. CHEERS

Agree0 Disagree0

Famous, you could be right about Kens lucky pants mate

I use to work with 5 Liverpool fans and even when they were zoomers. You couldn't shut them up about them being the biggest bestest club in the world!

Roberto Martinez "I expect arsenal to slip up in the race for 4th."

Everton 0-2 Southampton.

Awkward.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

AKIE
I agree with him.but not as badly as they will slip up.lol
Today should know as shake a saints hand day

Agree0 Disagree0

Im pleased Everton lost. Martinez's comments were odd and a tad disrespectful. We need to win our 2 home matches against Newcastle & WBA to secure a top four finish and round it off with a win in the cup final.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - wee im not robbie.. :(

Southampton did us a favour and gave us some nice breathing space, I know your gutted Ed but no matter what happens in the next couple of weeks you've had a fantastic first season with Martinez mate

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2014 15:02:03
Are we thanking Everton for the 2 goals in their game with Southampton or are we thanking Southampton for the 2 goals?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

i think we should sign that striker called owngoal.
he sounds good, lol

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2014 13:40:34
So its decided Arsene stays, he has publicly given his word and that's as good as signing a contract.
I'm glad its sorted one way or the other and now hope Arsene finally spends the money he has helped the club accumulate, I the first of a few great signings will be bringing Cesc home closely follwded by sorting out Sagna a deal that makes him want to stay

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Gunner, I know you are a wenger in man, although you did wobble badly. I just ask you the question, is it really a good thing we have a manager, who does seem to be struggling to improve our situation. I personally can't forgive him for the hammerings this season and seasons past now and for me that is something that will come back again, the way he sends the team out to play. I personally think we have missed the chance to progess with new ideas and i'm am really really worried for arsenal football club. Every thing is all too comfortable and that is very very worrying.

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve all your points are very valid mate, yes my heart does say Arsene and yes my head has and does continue to question my hearts judgement.
In reality after all these years the question mark hanging over Arsene is bigger than ever, I'm hoping for a very happy ending and for my heart to win the day Steve but I respect your reasons for not feeling the same way, very much so

Agree0 Disagree0

We all hope for our team to be successful, that goes without saying and I hope we manage to win the fa cup. I still do hope we finish 2nd 3rd or 4th in that order, you never know. I think liverpool will find it tough next year to repeat, this season, but his philosophy is refreshing. Maureen hiho well, he is love him or loathe him a winner who has wenger for toast full stop. Pelligrini for me is falable and I think he might find the going tough next year, but they
have money. Man u won't accept being where they are, they can't afford not to bounce back. Will we compete with the same attitude towards transfers we have or will we struggle again because we won't pay the price and players see we don't have the same ambition. I will say this though to you with loads of respect, I don't want cesc back, unless we (unlikely) swap ozil. We need a different type of midfielder and we will end up trying to play ozil cazorla wilshire ramsy cesc all in the same team and it won't work. I also think we should not go back go forward, most players are a better success the first time round.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just another little footnote. I used to go and watch the team in the 70s to 90s but the last 12 years I have nt managed to get. With keeping wenger, I don't think he is going to get much slack from supporters as as far as mistakes are concerned and that may turn out to be a problem as far as patience is concerned. I have seen the fans getting hostile towards him and that will be there under the surface and would not be a positive impact.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Wilshere and Carzola are sqaud players if we are to be successful, .
Ox Ramsey a top quality DM player Cesc Ozil

Id take that and be more than confident.
Flamini Wilshere Carzola Rosicky fighting for a game, I'd fancy our chances

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve
I don't know where cesc would fit in.We seem strong in that position, but if he came back then I would be happy but think we would need to shift someone.
But on wenger I think he is our best option right now.Man utd seem to have quite a few managers saying their happy where they are.so I don't know who would be (our wenger out bridgade) choice
Please let me know who you think would realicticly want.
Cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

Its pretty academic now Welsh mate, Arsene's staying, so be us anti pro or uncertain Arsene will be in charge next season and we all wish him every success, ie CL Pl and the odd cup too

Agree0 Disagree0

Welsh, my problem is with wenger, he is outdated now with his philosophy, not his vision. I know ( stubbornly ) how he thinks a team sholud play and his vision for how a club should be run. Its how he goes about winning football matches and types of players that's falable. Can I be honest, all the obvious candidates mentioned earlier on these pages ( under 50 )would suit. I think the club needs a different manager with new ideas. All the top progressive teams through out europe have young progressive managers now, or at least not coming up to pension age. We are going to be left behind with our comfortable ideas.

Agree0 Disagree0

Welsh, my problem with wenger isn't his managerial skill its his tactical, blindness inability, or what ever you would call it and I think a manager who studies the opposition and has the ability to turn bad games round and can cope with all the difffernt styles thrown at you would be a massive boost to our players and performances.

Agree0 Disagree0

62
yes your right as usuall
Today is a good day

saints beat everton.ands mrs WG is in the bath, lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sheep dip?.. :)

Steve I agree to some exstent what yr saying, I get frustrated and think, christ why is he doing that, but he sees the players every day, I don't think a manager watches more football then wenger,
He needs to go out and get some top quality, But what he has done has simply been amazing .
But now is the time to move forward.
Liverpool will get raided buy some clubs, this year like we used to.
For me he is the best that's out their at the moment, and I think manager will want to come to arsenal after wenger, because of the trust and suport they show
Wenger once said he had been offered more money to go to real madrid, but why go to a club that changes their managers every 12 monthes.
Eds
is it true wenger turned down a wage rise

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed025, that made me chuckle

What's worse than celebrating 4th place like a trophy?

Celebrating your manager getting the sack like a trophy #UTD

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Akie
Bet they would take forth now.
Has any one else noticed liverpool shirts popping back up.
Had an argument in the pup with a lad I've drunk with for 3 years .he is a liverpool fan, lol
he kept that quiet, till now.(sudenly he's got louder.)

Agree0 Disagree0

I would bet next season they won't be happy or content with fourth and I think you will see action to make sure they don't either. They won't let their standards drop like some.

Agree0 Disagree0

They will improve Steve no question how much is still to be seen, if they get a really strong manager who gets rid of the trouble makers both within the sqaud and the backroom then they will be a force again very quickly.
Breaking the Fergie/player contact will be difficult but crucial, you can't serve to masters well

Agree0 Disagree0

They've been popping up as united fans have done into hibernation, Welshy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Celebrating other teams bad performances so it enables your own teams bad performances to enable you to finish 4th?

Mate only 1 team has gone unbeaten all year, for a very long time .
so yes I Will celebrate when our rivals loose
A draw is a good point when the opition loose.
May I ask who you suport because you said it as if your not a gooner.maybe I read it wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

Welsh I'm just merely pointing out that we've turned 4th in to a trophy so I find it ironic to slat others for celebrating mediocrity.

Ok we have been seeing a lot of posts about Diaby and a good thought provoking question was posted asking whether we would be happy to let him now go due to his non stop injuries. With Jack being a similar scenario what's the feeling on that too.? and why.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Goldie
Good question
For me I would keep diaby.whats his sell on value, A lot of french managers see a lot in him, Why i'm not sure, but I feel he owes us.
Jack, well its a no branner, why sell on what could be one of the best young midfielders in years to come.so keep him

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the best way to answer the question about Wilshere is ask it in a different way.

Would you like to play man city / Manchester United / Chelsea / Liverpool with wilshere in their team?

I know I'd say no to that so like Welsh said its a no brainer. He's class and got many years ahead of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jack or Yaya? Jack or Hazard? Yes please would rather face jack every time, Jack or Henderson? Debatable, Jack or Cleverly? Well jack wins that one Rocky .
To write Jack off is crazy but he still has a lot to do to live up to his early promise.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said gunner you miss jack or barkley. Lol. I like jack I just think injuries are robbing him like diaby of making any impact, I think he could always be unlucky, too many underlying problems.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramsay was written off by a lot of fans who said he would never get over his injuries With Jacks talent we would be mad to let him go

Agree0 Disagree0

GUNNER
Mate.yaya is awsome, but I watch a few games and christ has he been lathargic.
Hazard for me he ain't in the same postion, he is more like ozil.
Lets all prey diaby comes back to his best, He is an awsome player .for me the next viera,, he is what we have been missing, if he is fit and back to his best

Agree0 Disagree0

Gunner62

I didn't suggest replacing any of those players you mentioned with jack. Simply would you want him in the oppositions team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ill turn it around and say none of those teams would buy wilshire, you don't win things with brittle players and at the moment he ain't done enough to play for a top team especially in the prem.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah sorry Rocky you didn't say that mate I jumped the gun a bit there ( missus is always moaning about it )
I think the point I was trying to make was he wouldn't get in those teams yet and I think he needs to do more to be a regular for us on merit.
He just needs to mature a bit sharpish if he's to become the great we all once were sure he would be

Agree0 Disagree0

No I wouldn't want Jack in the opposition when fit. Of course not. But I don't see him carrying on in the not to far distant future the way he is going. I hope it changes for him but that's how I see it. Sorry.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh I think I saw the poll mate on whether it was merely Leonardi Di Caprios body double going down. I think this is a trick question. As I think there was an earlier scene in the film where Kate Winslet was going down in the car.
Am I right? LOL

According to some papers today. Looks like Wenger is staying. Personally I don't know how I feel about this. I've got a few mixed emotions. One side if me is saying "Better the Devil you know than the one you don't" . The other side of me was looking forward to something fresh to happen.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Goldie
Fresh can be dangerouse, look at man utd.i meen how many managers are say they are not intrested.if Lord Wenger was avalible I think they would have loved to have him
For me keep him and bring in two people
Dien to handle transfers.(keep ivan in his conting house)
And a young pretender.Berkamp (maybe)but then maybe bould should have a crack next time.would like to see him get of his ass and shout a bit

Eds. I've noticed that there has not been any Arsenal
Dodgy Rumours posted since November. Does that mean for the last 6 months everybody seems to know what they are talking about for once.? LOL

Believable0 Unbelievable0
