Chelsea were average

United were abysmal

City were being played off the pitch when they had 11 men

Why are we being clumped in w them?

We were dominating the best team in Europe, went down a man, then made them scratch and claw to get two goals, one of which was a wonder strike

Excited to see these "pundits" eat crow when we go beat them in Bavaria

Agree0 Disagree0

Watching the Schalke vs Madrid game and was hoping to see Draxler have a great game, 56mins in Madrid are 4 up and apart from a great chance to equalise at 1 nil he's not been in the game.

He's just back from his injury and obviously Madrid are just running the show and to think they have Isco, Jese and ilharramendi all sat on the bench.

The commentator also said that Zidane is doing one on one coaching with some of their players.

Would love to see Bergkamp come and do that for us.

Flamini - that's why we love you. Born team player and winner

“When I play with any of the boys in midfield I have to sit in front of the defence and do the dirty work but I enjoy doing it. My pleasure is to give them the possibility to attack and, when we lose the ball, to get it back as quickly as possible.”

It's great to read stuff like that, plus Podolski saying 'I've been in different dressing rooms but I've never been at a team with such a strong spirit'

A big factor in why we are where we are.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree.

I know a lot of people (not necessarily Arsenal fans) have been giving Ozil a lot of stick lately and even before his dip in form. I've just looked over his stats for the season so far, and they're actually bloody good considering its his first season in the league - and these stats are in the league alone.

4 goals definitely leaves something to be desired but like Ramsey I can see him adding them to his game quickly next season.

He's got 8 assists which is only one off being joint with the league's assist leaders. Not bad.

He has made 63 key passes since his first game - the most of anyone in the squad, the closest is Santi with 41.

1384 total passes. Also more than any other player in the team though Arteta is not far behind.

And 86 total crosses. Again more than anyone else in the team, even Sagna who has 80 and Santi with 75.

That should shut up anyone who still doubts him. The lad is world class and he may lack a bit of workrate defensively but those stats alone show you that he works his h******* off going forward! We've seen how he reacts to a poor spell of form and that means we all need to get behind him and encourage him to push on and stop expecting the world of him in his first season.

If before next season he bulks up a bit like Hazard and adds a few more goals to his game, he will dominate opponents' midfields and defences even with the likes of Giroud and Bendtner in front of him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree

I've screenshotted this post, now anyone who gives him stick, I can pull my phone out and shut them up. Thank you CIG

Someone posted on the United site do the Eds think it could be the end of Ferdinand? Personally I think they could be looking at the end of Moyes. Why? well bad results and more importantly players that seem to have gone of the boil and discontentment amongst the team since he has taken over. As an Arsenal supporter I'm a bit gutted really I feel that Moyes should have stepped into the United job a few years ago. LOL

Joel Campbell is the only arsenal player to score against United this season

RVP throwing his toys about because people playing in his areas?
I don't want this c##t anywhere near my club let only come back to play for it! He is selfish big headed embarrassment of a man who shows his true colours when the chips are down .

Anyone who thinks he should return should support another club remember how he jumped ship after 1.5 good seasons his only fit now because World Cup coming up! I hope he likes his league medal I hope it's the last thing he ever wins and he will never be a legend at our club you made your bed lie in it!

If he comes back they can have my ticket back
Our future is sonogo (mark my words) 😃

{Ed001's Note - to be fair, he does have a point, if the team aren't being coached to play as a team, understand where each other wants to play and work together, then it is going to fail. If you have a striker that wants to make certain runs, as his partner in the team you should be looking to either feed those runs or make runs away from there to either create space for him or to exploit the space he has left. Instead you have a striker looking to make a run, finding someone else is already blocking the space and then having to look around to figure out where to run now. Goalscorers are instinctive, you have to give them their space and work around it, rather than have some useless Shrek look-a-like blocking their runs.....}

He's a choker too, did it for us against Milan, them against Madrid and again last night against Olympiakos.

Loved the way he said he rushed the shot because he doesn't get many chances!

Not sure where he'll be playing next season maybe the J league the MLS or for the Melbourne Fudgepackers in the A league.

That man is a classless pond dweller.

Agree0 Disagree0

Struggle to defend Rvp he should make something happen and take his chances instead of bitching about his team mates top quality professional as always not welcome back in my eyes some may differ I'm sure

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take him back if we can't find a better replacement for Giroud. He is still an exceptional player whereas Giroud is just OK.

I bet you're the sort of person who would take Fabregas back though aren't you?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would not be happy if fab came back as would see that as a step backwards although he is still class.
I don't want anyone back who doesn't love the club and is just chasing there own agendas

Henry loved our club I think fab does to but I think our midfield is strong so unless that changes I'm happy with it .
There's lots of strikers out there we do NOT need that injury prone child back
Giroud is knackered give the guy a break sonogo will be class next season we just need another decent striker to be no 1 there's lots out there

Not sure what sort of guy that makes me lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabregas gave a lot more to arsenal than van persie did. persie was fantastic for 1 season, and good for another. His injuries prevented him from giving us more. but, he left at the first opportunity. Fabregas left after giving us atleast 5 great seasons, and he went back to his original parent club. Big difference.

I think Jenny should stop sitting on the fence with regard to RVP and say outright what she thinks of him!

Sorry Exiled,

I know I shouldn't but I can't help think a little loyalty to repay that shown to him may have earned him more than the single medal he'll leave the uk with.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jenny- LMAO . I have a great pond in my garden and I'm very fond of all the life in it. wouldn't want it infested with that to55er.

Not Arsenal related but could have been! If we had signed him a year back, but I feel I need to say this about ROONEY.
I've said this a million times before. On the European and International stage Rooney is mediocre to say the least.
I feel that Utd have done a dis-service to all football supporters and football clubs in general in offering him a £300 grand a week contract minimum without his add ons. Last nights performance was a perfect example of why he isn't worth anywhere near that money, where was he in that game? and where is he in any International or major European game. The people that end up paying his wages are the supporters whether it is through Sky subscriptions going to matches etc. If he were exceptional we could probably understand it a bit maybe! but the point I'm really making here is. In this country alone I could name handfuls of players that could leave Rooney for dead in talent and that's without the European players we could all name. So what happens if you are a player and see Rooney on £300 grand a week? your agent wants the same for you and more because let's face it Rooney is no big thing. Who is going to end up with the bill? for this snowball affect? we all are. Boys and girls mark my words you will need a mortgage to watch Sky in a few years time if clubs are going to pay people like Rooney this type of salary. Can you imagine for one minute how much Utd would pay players like Ronaldo, Messi, Ibrahimovic, Ribery, Suarez, Aguero and even our own Wishere and Ramsey to name but a few. Any one of these players would leave Rooney for dead. To quote Jim Royle of the Royle family " £300 grand a week? My arse"

Couldn't agree more, he was and is the last person that I'd want anywhere near this club.

I'll credit him that at one stage in his career he was quality in the league, not been anything like that player since and they should have got shot when they had the chance.

That he gets lauded as their best player this season highlights exactly how poor that team is. They are abject and I will never understand how our boys get psyched out by them. 1pt from 6 still embarrasses me.

Agree0 Disagree0

He isn't worth 300k per week (nobody in the world is), but he has definitely been utd's best player this season by some margin.
On his day, he's the best english player currently playing. but those days are few and far between.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's worth whatever some one is prepared to pay him, everyone is.
My cars worth £500 to me but if all anyone will give me is £50 that's what its worth
Crazy but true

Agree0 Disagree0

Daniel. I'm sorry mate I'm quite a nice guy really. But " Rooney, Best United player!"? Daniel that wouldn't be hard would it mate. Even you and I would have a chance at being their best player this season, they are diabolical.

A question for the Eds and my fellow Gooners.

What do you think of all this "psychologist" malarky for our players to prepare them if any of the World Cup matches have to go to penalties?

Personally, whilst I appreciate taking pens, especially under intense pressure is not the easiest thing to do, surely using a Psychologist is taking things a step too far?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - personally I would say a good sports psychologist can help players, just by virtue of the placebo effect if nothing else, in their general performance. Just for pens though? No, complete waste of time and shows exactly what Woy's aims are for every game - not lose.}

Totally agree 001, thank you.

Agree0 Disagree0

There!s only one thing we need to take to the world cup and that's players 26 or under
We will not win it or get any where near so plan for the future, France 2016 and Russia 2018.
Another tournament with same old faces doing the same old things playing the same old way. What's the he point.
Not a case of being brave its being realistic and planning for a better future.
It might not work out but Italia 90 was our last good world cup, time to try something a bit different

I'll make this simple. After what I've just seen if this is the norm then Joel Campbell should be brought back in from the cold!. I understand he also plays as a striker, I can well believe that. If this performance is anything to go by then Arsene needs a brain examination if he doesn't call him back at the end of the season. Eds I have got to admit I had forgotten all about him and understand he was put out on loan 3 seasons ago . Was tonight a typical performance from Campbell or was he just having an exceptional game? Thanks boys .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - from what I have seen, he blows hot and cold. More often cold than hot, but can pull something out of nothing on a bad day too.}

Hes's a decent player Golds but I think he should stay out on loan for another season or so.

I think if he came back to Arsenal he wouldn't get much game time, as he is doing at Olympiacos.

Let them turn him into a good player than we can have him back. Great goal against Manchester United BTW

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Eds and Dags. Well what you have just posted back makes sense then. I wasn't aware of that. One thing we don't need at the moment is a part time player. We have them in abundance lately. Thanks boys.

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't there work permit issues that stop him playing in this country? And that's why he has been out loan so long and Arsene can't recall him even if he wanted to.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he did fail to meet the criteria last time, but that was because of Costa Rica's ranking in world football being too low to meet requirements. I assume they must have moved up the rankings, as Oviedo at Everton was able to get a permit more recently.}

Been reading various bits about Campbell. and there is a view that he was eligible for a work permit at the beginning of the season but AW took the view he needed more competitive games under his belt.

We signed him in August 2011 so max 1/2 to 1 yr left on contract (?)
