this is just a thought, newcastle look like they could possibly go down, they are only 5 points infront of wigan and played a game more. what I wanted to ask you guys was would you like us to go for maybe ben arfa and maybe even cabaye? they will become available on the cheap if they go down

Mate I'd take the lot
Mbiwa/ coloccini
Debuchy
Tiote/Cabaye
Ben Afra
Even Krul was killer this season would all improve and squad and give us great depth

The lot from a team that looks like relegation.
Agree0

Wow. why doesn't Wenger see what a bargain he could get. let's buy ALL the players from ALL the relegated teams.
We could win the Championship title in a couple of years.

In all honesty there is a lot of players from newcastle who would slot into our team seamlessly.
I remember last summer and even january lots of people craving ben arfa and cabaye at least. summer before that everyone wanted tiote.
these players haven't turned rubbish over night but something isn't quite right at newcastle and arsenal could do a lot worse than cherry picking newcastles best talent.

Does anyone know if theses Gonalons rumours have any legs?
And the Cesc talk are that would be a dream!
Believable0
Unbelievable0
I wondered from the minute he left Arsenal how Cesc would fit in at Barcelona. It's a shame he hasn't started more games and established himself there. BUT if that meant there was a chance he could come back I can't think of a better partnership of Cesc and wilshere (with a big commanding DM behind them).
Will it happen? Depends on who's next boss of Barcelona. Can't see Villanova staying beyond this season. And they will need money to finance the Neymar deal.
Agree0
Disagree0
Think they've already confirmed Tito is staying and TBF don't think anybody though xavi would still be going this long but he doesn't look like he's going anywhere soon

With Arsenal looking to sign a GK this summer is anyone else slightly gutted we missed Lloris last year?
Believable0

No keeper in the world has better reflexes than Lloris, and he's a high quality keeper, however he has his downsides

Don't judge on one bad game or bad form he is a good defender, look at the job he done against us and was one of the main reason montipeller won ligue 1

Now we need AT LEAST a point tomorrow
Come on you Gunners

I had a felling Wigan would get something from the game and Spurs only got a draw from lucky OG.
I feel we need at least a point tomorrow mind, I would certainly take a point right now if offered with our better goal difference.

For me Lars stands out better even though Sven plays alongside better players.
Both good players though

Bear with me because this is Arsenal related. Did anyone see the spread in the sun this week praising Carrick and using stats to suggest his influence has been evident all season? What interested me in this spread was the stas showed Carrick in the top 3 of prem players in each section of passes, pass completion, touches, pass yard gainage etc. but Arteta was FIRST in nearly every section. Carrick's stats are second to Arteta in every area. Now I'm not naive enough to suggest stats mean everything, but I think it shows how important Arteta actually is to the side. He may not be a DM, but he's a damn good CM.

I say we raid Madrid for either Benzema or Higuien as one of them is going and then take Di Maria aswell. That would be our 70 mill pretty much gone. maybe enough left to bring in capoue. so that would give us a prolific goal scorer in either benzema or higuien and a perfect winger in di maria.
---------Shez/fab-----
-Jenks--Mert--Kos--Nacho-
------Arteta--Wilshire---
----Ox/DiMaria--Cazorla--Podolski-
-----BenzemaORHiguien/Giroud-----
Dunno about anybody else but I think we would only need a GK to challenge shez for his place but fab may be able to do that.

We need players in every position. Arteta has done well but he is not mobile enough to play DM. Defence we need another quality CB plus a quality RB. that on top of a winger and quality striker 70 mill won't go far
Agree0
Disagree0
Do u even watch or play football a dm does not need to be mobile as their job is to protect the defence and play the ball out from the back its not that hard of a job
Ali
Agree0
Disagree0
Ali if its not that hard of a job why do we need to buy one? Of course a dm needs to be mobile, they need to track back and bring the ball out of defence quickly as well as just stick their foot in when its needed

I know the Eds more or less get asked who are Arsenal likely to sign everyday. A lot of people seem to think an upheaval of the squad is on the cards. At the moment it seems like we will clinch top 4, after tomorrows game we'll have a better idea. Personally I think both us and spurs will drop points.
Unfortunatly, I think if we secure CL football only Afew tweaks will be made. Couple youngsters in with 1 or 2 1st team players arriving. So the 4th place, trophyless monotony will continue for another season, if we're lucky. However if we fail to make it, this would catalyse change from Wenger and maybe the board. But the flip side to this would be what players would want to join us without CL football?
So with or without top 4 do you really see a big change this summer?

Flybo, have no fear Wigan will get something today, they are fighting for their prem survival and they manage to escape every year. I think they will get at least a draw, if monkey boy does not turn up they could win!
COYW (Wigan btw) just for today.

With all the Jovetic rumours flying about and Di Maria being 'available', taking into account the 70m transfer chest: If all parties were interested, would we be able to get Jovetic, Di Maria, and a DM (wanyama/ Capoue) for under the 70m allowance?

Jheeez I would be so chuffed with Jovetic, Di Maria and Capoue with a few youth players getting promoted we would defiantly be challenging next season!

My ideal summer
Stefan jovetic for 24m (is a great player who can play as a lone striker or I believe would link up well with giroud)
Nathaniel chalobah (I don't want to sound cliche but this kid is the next viera, powerful, quick and athletic) 4-5m
Matt lowton (in my opinion he isn't good enough to be first choice but he would push Carl jenkinson on to becoming a great full back which I believe he will be) 5m
Benedikt howedes (is the best of both merts and kos, reads the game well and has pace) 12-15m
And finally ruffier (reminds me of pepe reina, the good parts) 10m
Total spending 60m tops
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Why Lowton when we could promote Bellerin? And Nathaniel Chalobah is a top talent but he is Chelsea through and through and he won't want to leave nor will Chelsea want to sell a young player of his quality.

ARSENAL will smash their transfer record this summer.
ARSENAL will spend more this summer than what they have spent in the last 3 windows.
JOVETIC will be 1 of many class prospect signings this summer.
SO F*****g excited about this summer

An article from the Sun made me laugh even if it's not true.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger compares Robin van Persie's desire to leave the Emirates last season with that of a 39-year-old woman wanting her first baby.
Well Mr Wenger she got pregnant didn't she
