Noticed your lad Flybo hasn't been around much since allegations of Giroud's extra-curricular activities. On the run from OG's missus?
Lol, only joking. I wish Giroud the best off the field, maybe not so much in front of goal though ;-).

You could be correct Fitz, lol

Question for the Eds,

I know clubs use the "Multi-ball" system, ie, they have a lot of match-balls and they get the ball-boys to throw them in quick at throw-ins if they are chasing the game and they need a goal (and vice versa if they want to slow the game down to protect a tie and stop the other team scoring).

But, is this an official FIFA/FA ruling?

I always thought this was an "in-house" tac-tic deployed by the clubs to slow/speed the game up, depending on the score.

The reason I ask is I heard this "system" can only be used in the 2nd half of games(understandable) and has to be authorised by the match official prior to kick-off.

{Ed001's Note - I think you misheard mate. It can be used from the start, but the officials have to be informed that it is to be used. Also, it has to be available to both teams equally.}

I see, thanks 001. Much obliged

{Ed001's Note - you are welcome mate. They stopped it in the Prem because of the fact our stadiums tend not to have the space around the pitch they often have abroad. It kept ending up with two balls on the pitch as the one from the crowd would end up there while the game carried on with the new ball. European football allows for it though.}

I wondered why you never see it in prem games.

Thanks again 001

Ooh Eds I'm starting to feel sorry for you boys. Reading some of the posts on the Rumour Site suggests that you will soon be going on a trip.The Alvaro Morata trip. I can see it building up momentum already. For your sakes I hope it doesn't reach the heights of the Higuain saga of last season. Better get yourselves a supply of paracetamols boys! LOL

{Ed001's Note - I wonder if we should look into adding his name to the swear filter??}

Might be a good idea. LOL

I am sorry some are having a go at Giroud, his main problem is, as some have said, he is knackered and needs a rest just like Ozil. Considering he is always up there on his own I believe he is doing a great job. He needs a rest
and another striker alongside him to relieve the pressure and he WILL score goals, he is having to hold a high line and await reinforcements of our midfield who can score. He is a top striker and will prove it with help. Stop the barracking and support a player who is a true Arsenal man.

Your kind of 2/3 weeks late mate. He has been rested, and has come back into scoring by getting 2 vs Sunderland.

Agree0 Disagree0

And he scored once against, oh hold on, best not go there

Just been on the injury site.

We have 10 players out. Who runs our service, the NHS? (only joking, NHS do a great job).

Who should be the next Arsenal legend to get a statue outside the ground.
I could think of a few but for service I have to go with Pat Rice.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good shout Golds, totally agree.

I have been following Arsenal since 1970 and I think he was at the club than, (he was definitely in the 71/72 side).

To think he is still at Arsenal now is unbelievable.

Legend, erect a statue.

Agree0 Disagree0

Should have one with the famous back 5. Seaman Winterburn Adems Bould Dixon
All with there arms in the air asking for offside

Would be great

John Wilkinson Humble gets my vote. Was part of Dial Sq & went on to be our 3rd longest board member. Look him up on The Arsenal History Site

Agree0 Disagree0

George Graham. Controversial to some but won us the league after an 18 year wait. Also won cup winners cup. A double winner as a player to top it off.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sags, I agree. Some players from deep in history would be good and would show how modern players like Henry and Bergkamp and Adams are part of a great tradition

Got to be David Moyes' statue. A lot of club owe him big time.

Just a message to vrcomp from the Liverpool page.

You posted on here a few days back praising Arsenal and their supporters.

Can I just say a big thank you.

I think it's great that there is mutual respect between fans and we can laugh, joke and leg pull each other.

The Liverpool guys along with yourself and gunner62 have been proof of that.

I was fortunate to stand in the Kop last season with my other half and it was a fantastic atmosphere, I'm just so glad he failed to get tickets for that game this season :-(

United are on the main a different bunch, they do lack humility and then wonder why there is so much antipathy towards them.

They have a history and a great record. It's knowing how to be with that behind you and painfully most of them don't.

That post Dags stemmed from something written by the word about gunner62 that unfortunately couldn't have been further from the truth.

Absolutely agree Jen.

I have been to Anfield 5 times now (with a scouse mate of mine) to watch Arsenal play.

Even hours before kick-off, when we were in the pub, the Scouse boys come and talk to you and make you feel welcome. On one occasion we even got a lift from the pub to the stadium.

Great supporters and I have a lot of time for them, as well as respect.
