Not as such in the know again but, if i'm not mistaken isn't Micah Richard's contract out soon? I can't see him signing a new one at city and he's been on arsene's radar for years right?

Surely if sagna doesn't sign he'd be worth a look?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think he would prove to be a great signing, he looked a little over weight last time I saw him admittedly but its well known the TV cameras add 5lb to people.
Only thing I don't understand is why Sky would put all their cameras on him at one time

Anyone seen the article on liverpool fans objecting to the ticket prices for the FA cup match?

now as I can't afford to go see the arsenal regularly, I fully agree with the banner their fans held when they came to us last. news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/72557000/jpg/_72557245_liverpool_tickets_getty.jpg'

HOWEVER,

we were drawn as the home side, we set ticket prices, where do they get the right to protest OUR ticket prices?

The match will be a massive game, for both footballing reasons and media reasons, the prices will be higher than the Coventry ones, its a stage later in the cup.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The club needs to bring the prices down for the season tickets holders for that match- its a complete joke.

I don't blame the 'pool fans at all.

Prediction times boys.

Im feeling confident, so>>>

Southampton 0
Arsenal 2

Giroud double.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You beat me to it Dags I'm not having that LOL 3-1 to us mate .

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will hold our nerve for another away win. 1-2. Carzola & Giroud. COYG

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on boys, another clean sheet on its way please :) 3-0, Giroud, Podolski and Cazorla.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope we win. fingers crossed. tough game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Another tight one tonight I feel, 1 2 win and as for the goal scorers?
Their keeper looked Sharpe for us up front last time out, I though him and Giroud linked up well together

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol G62, it was a great assist by Artur Boric, hopefully he will do the same again tonight.

I hope you are correct Golds, lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe Boric is the answer to our striker search DG, he has more assists than Betner in far fewer games this season

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol G62, although Boruc can't dribble, as Giroud proved.

I'm going to miss seeing Arsene battle the zipper on the touch lines from next season

One of the prem's great rivalries

Believable0 Unbelievable0

USG, So far I think the zipper is 3 nil up, lol

Agree0 Disagree0

You never know puma might have crap zips aswell?

I've the new puma deal is worth 150 million pounds and a large chunk of money from this going into the transfer budget and with wenger signing a new contract and pushing for contract renewals with the likes such as Sagna the last five days are looking exciting for arsenal
I've heard wenger now knowing he has the funds trying to sign
Draxler definitely but if this doesn't go through he will look at either, gourchuff of Lyon, mandzuckic or bayern or rodrigo, any truth in these names? I know there has been rumours but I mean any actual approaches?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

There are always a lot of names linked to Arsenal bro, but Wenger is a great poker player and nobody really knows what he's got in mind until BOOM! a signing arrives lol.

I think it would be naive to not sign one player this window as we could really use the cover for Walcott, but I leave the decisions to Wenger.

Fingers crossed for Draxler though!

Last year we fostered the Poldi-Santi-Giroud partnership to dismember it this year

We ought to give it a real shot w Ozil pulling the strings and I think they could really fire

Jack and Rambo are ready to be our engine

Gnabry, Ox, Rosicky, Flam and Arteta are quality subs

Giroud
Poldi Ozil Cazorla
Jack Rambo

Needs to gel big time before Bayern

Hard time not putting Rosicky in there, but he has performed as a sub whereas Santi doesn't play well when he subs in, and Cazorla also seems to be finding form

This will be a tough opponent tomorrow, so a great time to signal our intent moving forward

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Against bayern i'd play flamini over any midfielder

Agree0 Disagree0

US I would love to see that lineup except I would maybe swap one of Jack or Rambo for either Arteta or Flamini, but that's a matter of preference lol.

Has Carzola played RW for us at all this year? I think with Walcott out that looks to be our strongest lineup, good shout bro.

We do have a pretty grim run of fixtures next month. We cannot afford any slip ups in the league as it looks like City are not going to stumble any time soon. But looking at it we can easily win all of our next 5 games.

Southampton (A) - Tough, but we should win
C Palace (H) - Easy game. No excuses there.
Liverpool (A) - Proved we can cope with SAS. Should win.
Man U (H) - Horrible fixture. Yet United are very beatable
Liverpool (H) - Home vs Liverpool should be another win.

If we can come out of those fixtures with 13/15 points and a spot in 1/4 Finals I will be over the moon.

Then as we come to Bayern game I honestly don't care if we go out in the CL. We have a great chance of winning PL and FA cup. Juggling those fixtures with midweek CL could easily lead to a mid-season collapse as Wenger struggles to rotate yet play a strong side. No shame in going out to the current best team in the world.

If we end this season with an FA cup and a top 2 finish I will be one very happy gooner and see this season as a resounding success. Show how far we have since losing to Spurs almost a year ago.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Detroit, totally agree mate

Agree0 Disagree0

What would you rather though?

us try with a full strength squad vs bayern and loose 3-2

or wenger playing players like gnabry and jenkinson and sanogo and Gedion and us losing 5-1?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes very difficult run of fixtures.
Can't see us getting 13/15 points from 4 league games though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Champions league does take a bit of luck. but depends on the day. if the players feel comfortable, and we can go out and win 2-1 like we did against barca, then I feel we have a very good chance of going to munich and making them work for their win.

we are obviously underdogs, but its not impossible.

but I agree with the op, we should be more concerned with EPL or FA cup.

Agree0 Disagree0

MM,

Only Fergie could have possibly got 13/15 points from 4 league games. So that's how United won all those titles!

Funny conference really, on the conference Wenger says Ramsey Vermalen and Arteta are back, but on the website it just mentions Vermalen and Arteta.

So what happened to Ramsey? Precautionary not to travel or not yet match fit?

I firmly believe Arsenal will buy no one in January what do you think.

Limerick Gunner

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 Jan 2014 17:04:50
I personally hope we don't buy Giovinco, I bought him on Fifa 14 and he was crap. Lol

ps. What are peoples thoughts on a Puma arsenal kit?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

£150M better off over 5 years. And some of the kits I've seen look good. Well see next year. But £30M better off a year is a massive plus.

Arsenal are becoming a well oiled machine once more on and off the pitch. Very proud

COYG

Agree0 Disagree0

The Puma deal was a homerun-- a lot of money plus the home kit looks really nice. This change of scenery will be good. Does anyone know if we would are the only club in the PL with Puma? If so that would be awesome.

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle and Cardiff also wear Puma

Agree0 Disagree0

The 'leaked' pic is fron last year some time and has a home shirt, a training top and a hoodie. that's given puma plenty of time to redesign. as a designer i'd be shocked if we are wearing the kit henry is sporting in that pic.

saying that I just got gnabs on fifa manager 14 for my league 2 Created club and he's poop atm!

but yeah, didn't like spurs kits with puma, I don't think their current kit designs suit arsenal tbh,
like their dortmund and wolves kits, their geordie one is standat (though I did hear they moved their logo on them specifically to a black stripe, due to sunderland beingt he black cats/the puma logo would be white, which is good)

seen a lot of bad mock ups, with the emirates logo being way to high and thin but most of them don't have any blue in them, and I think were going for that more classy 'sailor' style uniform with this seasons jersey.

ill mock some up for you lads, any suggestions?

p.s like how new reports are saying puma are a german company, methinks the media are trying to use our english predeterminded bias against the gemans tbh. not working were in the 21st century now guys.
i only hate the germans when they are directly opposing me :P

Newcastle are puma

Hopefully they can sort Arséne Wengers coat out!

Who wants to bet that when we beat Liverpool in the next round we draw Man City or Chelsea in the next round just to satisfy the TV ratings and the income it generates.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I was chatting to a mate at work today who's a Liverpool fan and we agreed that this was the most likely outcome. I like the prospect because it will benefit the lower teams still in it. And when we progress it will leave an easier path to Wembley for us

Gooner83

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey GoldBoy,

We have to beat these teams though if we want any chance of winning the cup and I for one would rather win in style rather then have people say we got lucky because of our draws.

I was also very happy with the chapions league draw. If we beat Bayern think of the confidence it would give our players at that point of the season. (and we have some big games then).

Agree0 Disagree0

Golds,

We can beat anybody at the moment lol

Just a thought .

Whilst I believe totally in AW and the boys and don't fear any of the games coming up in Feb, the Pessimist in me is worried that our lack of a first class striker could cost us in the up coming games. So much is now on OG shoulders due to the lack of suitable replacement should he get injured.

Yes we are scoring goals from all over the pitch but at times we have lacked goals from our forwards. Bendter is doing ok and not sure why but Podolski does not seem to be back to 100%.

My question is . If we do not sign a striker during Jan transfer window and the Feburary games don't go as planned and we go out of the FA, CL and drop from 1st in the league, will people be happy with this?
I want us to win as much as the next fan but a part of me is worried we don't have the firepower up front to rotate our strikers when needed and there is too much pressure on OG.

Dont shoot the messenger but I am sure I am not the only one thinking like this.

I totally agree. I would hate to look back at this window and say "if only" and "what if"

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, we really need another class striker.I would be very surprised if Wenger hasn't bagged at least one player by Friday.
Wenger has never let us down yet, it has only been the lack of cash that has been a problem before.
Now that we have some spending money, I'm sure AW will spend some more before the window closes.
My wish list:Draxler and Vucinic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Feeling the same, after the end of every season mostly every Arsenal fan has felt like the window could have been used more productively.

Hoping for another striker and defenders this window. And the good news is that Wenger has shown that cheeky smile we all know and love, let's hope he's got something up his sleeve.

Been reading the news on draxler, and i'm not entirely sure what the truth is behind it.

Wenger has given us his stated line, schalke have given their view, but for me this deal is a bit too advertised for it to be arsenal related.

If he is transfer buy for the summer, it would make sense, however we need players now.

Not having walcott, just took that dimension of pure pace out of the team.

Gnabry, Ox, Rosicky, Cazorla can fill the wing position, however I feel we are lacking up front, just like we all know.

The southampton game will be a good way to judge the team, no easy points there, and it will decide if we stay top or drop to 3rd.

Im not too worried about our fixtures for feb, we can only play what is in front of us.

The summer will be a harvest for centre forwards.

Mandzukic, benzema, Diego Costa, suarez, aguero?

Will Suarez stay if liverpool don't make the top 4?

Will the spurs players stay if they don't make the top 4.

Will the utd players stick around without champions league.

City, Chelsea will only get stronger, and its up to us to make the necessary signings to keep up with those teams.

after the signing of Juan mata, I would consider Man U, favorites for the 4th spot.

It will be an interesting end to the season. let's hope we can build a small lead. 4-5 points, and give ourselves some leverage, if we fail against the bigger opposition.

I am under no illusion, that our team has the best players in the league, we do have some in certain position, but not all over the pitch, however the team work and togetherness, is incredible, and I hope we can ride it out.

Ramsey we need you back. never thought i'd say that barely a year from booing the bugger.

Anyone fancy a cheeky bid for mandzukic?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would but not sure if we want a Giroud type striker.
good heading
strong
clincial
can see him going in the summer because that's when lewn is coming.
