I'm still surprised that Wenger hasn't found that "exceptional player" which will strengthen our squad.

Why doesn't he sign of those players?
We clearly need new players.
If Wenger had a squad of Real Madrid of 2012-13 he wouldn't even consider buying new players. But they sold ozil and brought bale and booom, won the champions league.
Same can be said for barca, bought Suarez sold Sanchez and boom won the treble.
I mean, till now there were financial constraints, but now? Now what?
Why doesn't he sign top players man, common I'm sick of hearing other clubs buying.
We clearly need a new striker and DM.
Otherwise we would again end up in top 4 and this time around may not even win the Fa cup.

Mandzukic is not better than welbeck let alone giroud there's a reason athletico didn't even want him one of the most overated players in the world, and half the players you've listed are attacking midfielders which unless we can sign fekir there is no point in getting

We've signed 2 world class players when we needed to in the past 2 years.
But when we've a good squad why not add to it?
Yes we've a great squad, but even a title winning team needs new blood.
We desperately need a striker.

Pedro Martinez marchisio mandzukic falcao and moutinho I wouldn't put ahead of what we already have. Lars bender no because he's not a proper cm so wouldn't be replacing coq.. so really I'm not sure I agree.
Think it's a case of the grass is apparently always greener ...

There's Benzema on that list that's it! And apart from that other possible available choices are lacazette or aubameyang for CF.
Other areas;
Def: Laporte , ottomendhi, gaya or rodriquez
Mid: krychowiak , benders, javi Martinez , reus
Obviously not all of them and only some would be for first team others to obviously fight for possition. but I would be happy with any from that list

Im stll baffled by this obsession to get a WC strker , its no good hoping you win 6-5 every week ( yes exxagerated ) but you get my drift, we have an absolute abundance of attacking talent, we need to strengthen up when we haven't got the ball.
If the opposing team get 'nil' we won't lose many will we :)

To me, the only available strikers that would improve us are Benzema and Lewandowski. The only DMs that would improve us are Martinez and Carvalho (as first teamers). Otherwise we just need a backup option, whether internal or external I have no clue.
Face it; the market is just empty. Wenger's best bet is probably Theo and Hayden, unless we get one of those mentioned.

Interesting question why do people link big signings with big prices. If we paid 30m for Cech would people then consider it a marquee signing because of price. Genuine question that. I feel right now we are wanting a big signing not needing one. But that's just my opinion I totally see where people are coming from

i see both sides of the argument. When we were one of the best teams in Europe we had a world class player in pretty much every area. That was partly luck as well as good scouting.
Wenger has to buy according to the system that he has built, I agree we need somebody who can bang in 25 plus goals in the league, although who is available that can do that as well as create assists?

Although still just an opinion, I do believe the crux of the argument about getting a top, top player in the striker's role would be whether it is worth the risk of spending big on a player who could possibly be better than what we have - no guarantees obviously 'cause a lot of the ones being listed have never played in the PL and will need due time to form an understanding with our boys (I'm looking at Ozil and his out-of-nothing sneak passes) OR we stick with the personnel we have now who possess the capacity to break through into that WC barrier - Walcott, Welbz and an ever-improving Giroud are not as terrible as some see them - and capitalise on the near-psychic connections they have formed over the last 2-3 years.
A truly top %1er like Benzema or Lewa might be worth a punt at an agreeable price, but Mandzukic and Moutinho just do not cut it for me. The Community shield game should be the best indicator whether this team is ready as it stands. Best if we wait for that game rather than start moaning.

Why do you need a striker? You got giroud, sanchez can play there, welbeck and Walcott too. worst case scenario is send big per mertesacker up there and play of his flick ons. Looking forward to our battles this season though and hoping for spurs to break into top 4 but still won't be ahead of u boys!

For me, I do think we need a top, top striker if available Not just because he will add 20-30 goals a season (hopefully a bonus), but because i think we need a striker who can also bang in the one chance in the big, tight games, which unfortunately I just don't see Giroud doing enough. Banging in goals when your already 2-0 up is one thing (these extra goals tend to come from midfielders who are playing more freely due to the score), but its having a CF who in the tight games, when he is marked tightly and maybe gets only one clear chance, still slots it away (sort of like Ian Wright did). For me that's what sorts the top strikers from the rest, and is worth paying for if the player is available. In fact perhaps if we had that sort of player last year we wouldn't have drawn a blank in our last couple of league home games and may have finished 2nd?

No big team sell off very good players for no reason. Sometimes (like the great Vito Corleone said) we have to go in with an offer that the other team cannot refuse. That is how you get stars.
I love my wife, but if Bill Gates came in with an offer of 1 billion dollars for her, he will definitely have my attention ;) haha
Every player has a price. There is no such thing as a player who is not for sale. If we really think that Benzema/Lewandowski/Lacazette is the missing piece of our jigsaw, then just like souvenir hunters we must break the bank to get what we need

I think this is like transfers. You get to see her picture, but she gets to see yours (as well as your house, etc).
A fee may be agreed with Rue 1025, only for the Mrs. Rue 1025 to reject the transfer.
Also, would the transfer unsettle Mrs. Dags?
Then do you have to increase her wage / look to move her on.
Best to not bid (although, I appreciate you went to the selling club first rather than simply im'ing photos).

To think, we have Ospina, Welbeck, Gnabry, Rosicky & Sanchez to add to the pre-season squads. I can't remenber the last time we had such a strong squad. We have two first choice players for virtually every position. The interesting thing is how Wenger will keep the squad happy, assuming the injuries subside and taking into account he doen't tend to like rotating his team.
