Read a headline that Ramdo's new hair style is contagious

Someone shouted something similar the other week at him when he wouldn't release the ball

Rooney looked to have the world at his feet in an England shirt in 2004 and 2 years ago Stirling looked similar, Marcus Rashford came on and looked exciting but in 2 years time will he just be another one on the list?
Our young players get over paid and over rated far to much far to soon and it ruins them before they even start in my opinion, I can't think of one player in the last 20 year's who has played for their country in finals at anywhere near the level they have for their club.
Ali Kane are just the latest in a very long line of young premier league successes who can't reproduce it for England, not sure how it is going to change in the foreseeable future.

Wilshere should go on loan somewhere, Spain or Germany. Else he will just get hyped and hyped without actually learning new things.

Does no English player know how to cross a ball? I saw maybe two good crosses for the entire 90 minutes, one by Wilshere to Kane and a sturridge cross to vardy that were good enough. embarrassing.

I heard Raheem Sterling didn't vote in last weeks Euro referendum because he had trouble putting a cross in the box.

I thank you.

It's taken United God knows how long to sign a genuine quality midfielder and finally they've got one.

Just another 8 signings and they'll have a right proper team! ;-)

I'm not sure if this has been talked about before on here but due to the lack of top quality strikers available in the market at the moment why not go for a top quality winger instead and move Sanchez into a cf?

Sanchez is good technically, pacey, good dribbler, strong and also good in the air. I think he could definitely do a job as our cf.

As well as this there are a lot more to class wingers available in the market at the moment.

28 Jun 2016 01:19:45
Sanchez is wasted our wide he's bacome predictable I would like him upfront if we play 2 up top.

Hi Ed any updates about Sanchez ankle iniury? Looks scary 😕.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - nothing yet mate, but I am sure the club will not be happy at all.}

27 Jun 2016 18:46:55
Find some pictures of the swollen ankle sanchez was allowed to play with in the crappy copa. What a joke the chilean manager and physios are, let's hope we don't suffer for it.

27 Jun 2016 19:43:26
I've seen them, he played Sanchez twice in succession last season for 90 mins, knowing he was carrying an injury, from memory they also injected him so he could play. Then he comes back the injury worsens and we lose out.

Wenger cops the blame.

I don't believe 4-4-2 is a formation we should ever consider with our defensive tactics. We play a high defensive line with at least one of our CBs always ready to malfunction (mert and Gabriel) . If we have two strikers and two midfielders then we are short of numbers in midfield and we will concede like no man's business

Secondly, with Giroud as second striker, where will Ozil fit in? We can't have two players dictating the speed of our attack. Ozil is the the lead of our orchestra and everyone else should dance to his tune.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 Jun 2016 19:47:50
I think the more tactical options you have the more you give the opposition to think about in the week prior to playing you, we have for far to long been way to predictable to play against with other team managers spending more time boiling an egg than guessing how we will play against them.

Hi first time posting here but according to espn Brazil we have lodged a bid for Gabriel Barbosa, anyone ever seen the guy play? Just seen a clip of him on YouTube. Pretty decent scoring record, 54 goals in 148 appearances! It'll beat Girouds 1 every blue moon!

Hi Eds.
Quick one for you hopefully.
I understand that we are hitting the silly season as I call it for transfer rumours.
But once again it seems that we are getting bounced around again when we are interested in a player. It always seems to me that we get a lot of rejections from players we are after when you would think that players would give there right arm at times to play for Arsenal. Is there something in the way we carry out our negotiations that pi55e5 people off as it seems like it's a constant and in the end we seem to get desperate and are linked with anyone we may have half a chance in signing.
Hope you get the point I'm trying to make .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - Arsenal are very good negotiators, it is just that the club sets its sights on the top talents (in its eyes) and they have a lot of options. Such as Vardy, he was offered excellent terms and it was not down to Arsenal that he decided to stay.}

27 Jun 2016 09:28:28
Thank you .

Lewandowski.
If I was a scout and was judging him on his performance in this Euros there would be no chance that I would be putting his name forward as one to watch that's for sure.
On what I've seen of him so far I wouldn't be desperate for h to sign for Arsenal.

27 Jun 2016 08:38:20
I think you can put that down to the quality of the team mate. With Bayern and good/ great players around him he is a monster. With Poland, he doesn't have that kind of support and is carrying the team. Same with Ronaldo and Portugal, Messi and Argentina, Sanchez and Chile, Suarez and Uruguay, Neymar and Brazil.

Clubs have the pick of who they want, Countries have an obviously limited pool.

I think Lewandowski would do some serious damage if he ever came to the Prem. I just don't ever see that being in an Arsenal shirt. Though I would happily stand corrected.

27 Jun 2016 08:04:29
So, Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic to Man Utd.

City still to really flex their financial muscles yet, but you can bet that will change in the coming weeks without the Euros.

Chelsea will no doubt be in the same position once Conte arrives.

Does anyone else feel like after the initial Xhaka excitement and un-Arsenal way of getting something tied up early, we are now at risk of falling behind other teams?

From what I read on here, MOST people seem quite realistic and I am not one that says we need 5 players. I think 2 more quality signings this summer, 1 striker and 1 defender, and we will have a great squad. We also need to allow for the improvement of our existing players. I for one hope that Chambers has a great season and I think he could really show his form this year if given the opportunity.

I'm with you Skywalker.
I've often wondered why other teams seem to get better results when negotiating transfers where we always seem to lag behind. I'm convinced that behind closed doors that the rumours are that Arsenal in general must be a nightmare to deal with. I can't think of any other reason mate.

Agree0 Disagree1

27 Jun 2016 08:34:55
Who knows mate - I just think/ feel like our targets aren't necessarily clear and identified.

It seems like the club say 'we need a player that does this' and then identifies 2 or 3 that can do a job. Case in point is Xhaka - we were linked with him, Carvalho, Kante etc.

With other clubs, it seems like they say 'we need a striker' and then go and get one - case in point Ibra to Manchester United or potentially Aubameyang to Man City.

Other teams seem to have clear and defined targets whereas ours seem to be more broad and less precise.

We have concluded our 'big' business, the odd smaller signing might show up but I feel that is it.

Agree0 Disagree3

27 Jun 2016 11:06:59
Sky. you are speaking as though we aren't trying!

If Vardy transfer had gone through, we would have signed two players before anyone else had acted!

Looking at other targets, there is a lot of overpriced talent out there, because a club needs to spark the Striker Merry-go-round.

I am tempted to see what Real Madrid do:
Morata
Jese
Benzema

One of these players WILL be available if they sign either Ledanowski or Aubameyang.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2016 11:42:35
Billy, it's not that I think we 'arent trying' but we were offered Vardy, we didn't necessarily go hunting for him.

As for Morata, Jese or Benzema - I don't see that Jese is what we need, Benzema would be awesome but comes with a lot of off field baggage, and Morata will be very highly priced for someone who, whilst talented, probably can't justify the price that Madrid will ask for.

Rumours in the papers are suggesting Slimani (who I know nothing about) or Lacazette. If that's the guy you want then go get them! This is what I am saying.

LMAO, anyone else think that was funny. Anyways stating the obvious, I think we are looking at a striker and a entre back. possibly a versatile cb who can play rb or lb.
