With an early kick off on Saturday there is an opportunity to go top and improve our goal difference, so would you play? ;

Gibbs or Monreal?
Which 2 from Iwobi, Ox and Walcott?
Assuming Cazorla is out, would you play Coquelin and Elneny in the DM roles?

Seriously I'd play Ox next to Le Coq and then business as usual, I think he could handle that role especially against one of the weakest teams in the premier league and being given the extra responsibility might do his confidence some good too.

Gunner62 - good shout, but as we are away, I would probably prefer Elneny and Coquelin, as they can provide a defensive shield, whilst Elneny also pushes forward. I would like to see Gibbs play at LB, as Monreal lacks pace, I would consider paying Ox wide left, as he is brimming with confidence and to give Iwobi a much needed rest.

Good shout 69.

Coq will keep it tight and when necessary, Elneny can push up and help Ozil, Sanchez and Walcott in attack.

I really hope we don't put up a defensive shield against sunderland.

Play Coq and OX

i also have a feeling that giroud might just grab a goal this weekend which will be great to have all our front men with scoring confidence.

Ramsey may also be back on the scene but Elneny and Coquelin is not a pairing for Sunderland, what are you guys thinking! πŸ™„πŸ˜‰.

I don't think team should be taken lightly, and Defoe shouldn't be underestimated, but clearly we should be beating Sunderland.

If we play Alexis up top, i'd probably give Gibbs a chance, as someone else said on here a while back, without Sanchez running on the wing, Montreal has been more exposed. Should see if its better with Gibbs.

Have Keirens positional and defensive qualities improved dramatically over the last 2 years? If not if he wasn't good enough back then why is he now?
Monreal has struggled the last couple of league games no question but he hasn't suddenly lost all the things that made him our no 1 left back in the space of a fortnight.

I said it last week that Iwobi doesn't afford him the same defensive cover that Walcott does with Bellerin.

Would Joel Campbell have been better suited on the left Red? Iwobi is a very good young player but I thought Joel played well and worked very hard for the team when given the chance last season.

Agree with G62 Monreal is still a top quality LB and having Iwobi at LM who doesn't track back or fill in when needed does expose Nacho too an extent, but that is the case for any team and Lb, the key is defending as a team and everyone pulling their weight.

Danny Welbeck 62, he works his socks off but just not back until January. πŸ™.

I like Danny a lot Red he offers us options out wide and down the middle but there are a lot of games and a lot of points to be won and lost between now and January mate.
If Sanchez was always going to play down the middle it does make letting Joel go seem even more bizarre especially when we already knew Danny was long term injured.

Agree 62 and now we have Perez out as well as akpom, I do like Iwobi though he just needs to up it a little defensively. I'm sure more often than not Campbell played right wing.

I'm pretty certain he asked to go for more garanteed game time.

Yes mate I agree he did play more right than left and apparently he did ask to but I think the reason for that was because he couldn't even make the bench ahead of Ox and Theo once everyone was fit despite out performing both last season, under the same circumstances if I'd been him I'd have wanted to leave too.
