R. G. did you enjoy watching spurs smashing Southampton to bits tonight, we've got alli he only costs 2 mill and is better than ozil. You said we will end up 6 th I don't think so as we are now flying up the table and playing great football and Chelsea will be smashed next week by us as well, the ravers having a Mr Kipling day an exceedingly day.

Will the Arsenal lads be able to support Spurs in the match against Chelsea. If Chelsea beat Stoke then the spuds match will equal their 14 wins on the trott.

Raver - hope you sent Mike Dean a nice gift for Christmas

Dean has taken charge of three Spurs games – he has issued a red card to the opposition in each game and also awarded a penalty in two of them.

That 12th man is powerful.

Typical Spud,
Thinks season finishes after 18 games 😄.

Raver is embarrassing himself again, after the toot remained in 5th place with Man U just behind. I suppose he is excited that they are in a Europa League place, which means he can escape bingo with his mum on Thursday evenings. What a revolting kit the toot were wearing by the way. I hope you do us a favour by beating Chelsea. A new task for raver; How many times have the toot finished above Arsenal in the PL during your lifetime? As you know the pain at the lane just goes on.1961. yes 1961. 55 years and waiting.

HI ed. just wanted to ask. can arsenal call back wilshere in Jan transfer window. if yes. are we considering it. because in cazorla's absence . wilshere looks to be the best option with his play making abilitites. thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - He is on a season long loan and won't be "recalled".}

Wow begging for wilshire, that's a change of wind. lol.

Anyone been watching his performances for Bournemouth?
I've only sat and watched him closely V Liverpool and putting it really nicely that day he was extremely poor.

Seen Jack a few times this season.

Thought he was composed, stylish, very precise and had a very good cutting edge.

Oh wait, that was Jack the Ripper.

Ma bad.

It's a shame that Wilshere hasn't fulfilled his early potential and his performances to date on loan haven't been awe-inspiring. I think it's time to cash in on him and bring in a new player.

{Ed025's Note - its a shame really RG as he had real potential, some will suggest he still has but they are kidding trhemselves mate..

Can remember thinkingthe same about coquelin when he was at Charlton when he came back he was a revelation maybe when jacks in a top quality side he will do the same fingers crossed.

Good to see pictures of Danny back in training. His energy, speed and work rate would be a big plus and really help Nacho. This would also change the big game experience in the front line while taking a little pressure off Iwobi who has had a Gid's season considering his age.

Now we need Santi and Mustafi back - big big misses for any side and it shows at present.

Suddenly the team and bench improves considerably.

Big couple of games coming up as we must take all points leading into the Chelsea game

You got to have faith - as someone once said ( rest in peace)

Hi SY4

Hope you and the family had a good Christmas

I still think we need to sign a creative midfielder in the mold of santi, he's not getting any younger

Tony kroos for me.

Agree0 Disagree2

28 Dec 2016 17:39:53
Kroos would be awesome - still hope Granit can play that role or he's a bit of an expensive luxury we can't afford as we don't have $ity type money!
Great Christmas - dad's p£££ed with Wenger and the crap defence plus the cost fans have to pay to watch a second rate team.
How about you? Stay out of trouble?

I'm having a great Christmas . I'm in 🇮🇪Till the new year

nothing I see with Granit fills me with optimism.

We won't be getting kroos, not this season or ever. Great to see welbeck close, I just hope he can have an impact up front or on the left to keep us in the top 4. He could be a big player if he gets and stays fit.

From watching us this season, and don't get me wrong Monreal had a great last season but i feel we need a better LB.

Do we have any interest in bringing someone new in, January maybe?

Liking the looks of Amavi, Gaya or even Kurzawa?

Monreal had better cover from Sanchez last season, who works back, whereas Iwobi can be lazy. I though that last season we needed better options at LB and still am of the same opinion, although I can't see us signing one in this window.

28 Dec 2016 13:24:27
I doubt we will see any established players in any position arrive in January, maybe a couple for the future if that.
Players will be returning from injuries which I have a sneaky feeling Arsene will discribe as being " like new signings " :-)

Hi Gunner62, We have quite a full squad this season when fit and unless we unload a player or two I can't see us making any signings during this window. Perhaps in the summer, we could sign a young talented keeper such as Pickford to replace Ospina and eventually become number one. The LB position is up for grabs, as neither of our current options are good enough and Gibbs contract is running down. I would also let Mertesacker move on, we can see how Chambers and Holding have progressed and we have 3 decent CB's. The DM options look good. We have to review Wilshere, Ox and Walcott in the summer. We also have to look at the situation regarding Ozil and Sanchez, although I wish we had the ability to tie top players to long term contracts. I must admit that Daniel Levy down the road seems far more competent at doing this and cashing in when top players force a move. It's clear that if the Toot continue ti fail to win anything the coach and better players will move on in time, but at least the Toot get top prices for them.

Hi RG mate, so much depends on who is our manager next season as to what's happens with who, if Arsene stays I think we will see possibly 1 or 2 Xhaka standard punts come in possibly at LB and LMF but I think attacking bigger names might prove as difficult as last summer was when it came to getting the best players to even consider Joining us.
If Arsene decided to call it a day at Arsenal it would depend on who takes over as to what directions we take, an Eddie Howe type up and coming type manager I think might persist with Theo Gibbs Ox and co while if a really top name manager came in I think only Cech Belerin Mustafi Kos Le Coq Caz Sanchez and Ozil would be certain to be wanted by him. Just my opinion though.

I think we should all be prepared for us not getting anyone in Jan. The faint glimmer of draxler is now gone and it looks as though PSG have paid the asking price and he probably didn't want the move either.

Agree0 Disagree1

28 Dec 2016 16:47:15
Draxler for me is all about potential and I would like to see us going down the proven tried and tested route for I bit, would Draxler really have been that big an improvement on Welbeck Iwobi Ox or Theo? Potentially I guess he could have been :-)
