Thanks for the great info Ed. Greatly appreciated - sounds like Arsenal have a number of positions, lack of funds to buy everything required, competition and conflicts of opinions within the club. will be an interesting 2 windows and great to hear they’ve identified a number of holes in the squad.

Reports out, Ozil out tomorrow, he complained of a knee injury.
What has Ozil and a windscreen got in common?

I hope he gives his wages back because he feels so guilty because he isn't trying to give us value for money. He must feel guilty, he's robbing the club.

He wouldn’t have played anyway, Dick won’t want to be carrying players.

We should move Ozil on, if we can!
With season ending injuries to Holding and Welbeck, as well as the possibility of Ramsey moving in January or in the summer at the latest, we must make some signings in January.
At the end of the season the following players contracts end:
Cech
Ramsey
Welbeck
Monreal
Lichtsteiner
We clearly need at least 2 or 3 signings in January and the same again in the summer.
It illustrates what a weak squad Emery inherited and what a fine job he has done to date.

I have banged on about how good Ozil is and how I was hoping he would buy into Emery’s philosophy and be important going forward! He doesn’t seem interested though and the only ones happy are Ozil and his bank manager! It genuinely disgusts me the money smashing around anyway but someone taking £350 000 a week and not doing what he is asked to do - the very least we expect is to run and TRY ( oh and play ) . Lazy players on big wages crushed us over last ten years! Don’t know how many more chances he will be given if any but maybe he will change his attitude a bit like Pogba ( who by the way is also a disgrace - but not alone remember Hazard in Jose’s last season at Chelsea ) big money big talent big egos big problems! Keep or sell still 100 per cent behind Emery COYG ps is Laca being saved for a World Cup or champions league final leave the lad on.

If we can it's time for us to part company with Mesut, he's not what we need to get back to our best and we are not what he needs to get the best out of him.
Mesut needs to be in a dominant side in a less competive league and we need warriors willing to run through brick walls for the club.
Tat ta Mesut tat ta Aaron, next please.

With half the season gone I am extremely impressed with Emery. Particularly as he was left with the weakest and most unbalanced Arsenal squad for decades.
Interestingly, all 5 of Emery's signings started the last match and were arguably our better players on the day. All 5 signings have done well so far, particularly Torreira, Sokratis and Guendouzi. Lichtsteiner was clearly stop-gap and Leno has done reasonably well so far, although I am not yet convinced that he is a top keeper.
In the January window we need a minimum of 2 signings, with Welbeck and Holding out for the season. Lots of 'noise' about Ever Benega and it would be great to bring another South American terrier into the midfield. We need to sell and replace many of the old guard, with the likes of Ozil, Iwobi, etc, simply not good enough or consistent enough. Not looking forward to tomorrow's match, hopefully we will do better than I believe we will.

Tomorrow's game is scary and it's difficult to see us not getting beat and possibly worse :- ( but you never know in football said the Palace Fan who went to City last week:-)

Big Keown likes our chances tomorriw:

singled out six key reasons for his claim which are: a lack of creativity, dealing with long balls, tracking runners, no width, gaps at the back and the famous Anfield atmosphere.

So slim to not chance.
