Disappointed to say the least. I felt this was our worst performance of the season.

Thoughts (mostly negative):

- We simply weren't up for the fight

- Arteta has no business being on the field if no one is injured. He can't can't stop a counter and can't beat defend 1v1s if the opposing player is faster than him. The second goal was his fault as he didn't track him well enough.

- Podolski should have come on way sooner and substituted Santi. Podolski is physical and has pace. This was the game for him. This game wasn't a passing game since they pressured very well and we weren't ready mentally.

- Per and Kos played very well today. Very good solidity. Szcz did the job well but was a little wild for my liking. The goals were his fault.

- Monreal dangerous on the attacking side today but defensively average.

- We need to pressure AS A TEAM! There were too many times where Giroud or Ozil would pressure their backline for a length of time but no one else would come support. If I was on the pitch (or even at the game), I would be enthusiastically leading this pressure.

- Flamini. No reason to do that man. I do his ability to throw himself into a tough tackle like that. We need more of that mentality

Hopefully Wenger realizes we need another center mid and stiker. Center mid is now vital considering Flamini is out for 3 games, Ramsey is out for 3 weeks, Wilshere is occasionally "rested, " and Arteta lacks quality at the moment. A relatively young, tough talking, tall center mid would be ideal.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This game wer'nt a passin game because that person wearin the armband was meant to be the link from defence to attack. he did nothin. missed the first 5 minutes nd didn't even know who was our front 3 behind giroud, because he couldn't get the ball out. he don't even know his job. Arteta's a joke. not god enuff. end of.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not good enough (at moment). I wouldn't say a "joke" though only because he does exhibit leadership qualities. Otherwise, I totally agree with you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Flamini misses, Palace, Liverpool and then Man U, can't help thinking he knew exactly what he was doing . and what about the news that Ramsey is injured again and now out for 4-6 weeks, this will start to leave us short, and AW is adamant that he isn't going to buy, is this the last time we will be top?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wenger might use Ox in the Ramsey role. He has said that is where his future lies.

I agree that we might not see top spot again though.

did we cry for getting a draw when we were on the invincibles run?

no.

Enough said

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Please don't compare the two

Agree0 Disagree0

My point is, we may have dropped two points but we didn't lose out completely, ill take a point if it limps us across the line, we can't feel bad for these results until after the last game of the season when you can look back and say if we'd won this or that.

im not so imbecilic as that

I'm disappointed about tonight's result not because we should have beaten Southampton but because we could.
Awful 1st half, don't understand why we start with our foot off the gas in games where the opposing team will be pressing high and fast. Were lucky to be in at half time only 1 goal down. Brilliant start to the second half, don't know if this makes sense but I think our second goal came too soon. It allowed a bit of complacency.
Have to agree with most, wenger got the team selection wrong today, podolski after the Coventry game should have started, however I read somewhere recently where podolski said he is having a little injury problem and hence isn't able to play as much as liked, but surely 10/15min as sub wouldn't of been too bad.
The reason why arteta and flamini in midfield doesn't work is because IMO our system needs a sort of step structure in midfield. I.E. A link between CB-DM-CM-AM-LW/RW/ST, if that makes sense. Where the CM plays a box to box role and covers the gaps during our atts and defs. And with arteta and flamini you miss that link and hence you get a lack of fluency, movent and dominance in midfield, that's my take on it lol.
We need to start being more attack minded now, and build pressure on city and Chelsea to say we are not letting go so easily.
This week especially the weekend are a huge oppurtunity to build a bit of breathing space. I can see city dropping points tomorrow vs spurs, and then Chelsea dropping points vs city next Monday.
So as disappointing today was, there's still plenty of reasons to be positive. Let's hope we pick up quick, Ramsey cannot come back sooner.

No gibbs, no walcott, no Poldolski, no chamberlain in the starting line up meant almost a complete lack of pace. Practically suicidal against a team like the Saints IMO. Hope the lads put in a real performance against Palace on saturday to redeem themselves and to probe to the fans they want this as much as us! COYG

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't because we have Palace on Sunday :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol Banbury, better for them too turn up early on Saturday than late again perhaps? ;-)

Dont understand why he won't play poldi he would be deadly in front of goal. also have to agree bout arteta and flamini just don't work.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree but if you don't create you can't score

I was worried when I saw arteta and flamini paired in the middle, it just don't work. we were too flat and there was no penetration. Today we missed the fluidity of jack. we had the wrong eleven out and paid the price.
Fair play to the saints they ran themselves ragged closing down arsenal and were first to all the loose balls.
It isn't the end of the world, but it was two points dropped
Wenger got it wrong and we need to snap out of it quick time or we could be sucker punched again by palace.

Szecs. could have done better with the first but made a few vital stops later
Sagna.kept busy by shaw, but overall was solid
Kosci. was solid
Merti.wasn't given time to pass out from the back, but overall done well
Monreal.prefer Gibbs nacho wasn't with it today
Arteta.IMO is the weakest link in the most important position, I have said before he isn't a defensive mid, hasn't the pace to chase back
Flamini.let the pressure get to him with two footed tackle, will be missed for three games, better when he is sole defensive mid
Cazorla.on and off, took goal well but that's about it
Ozil.played well, chased back, even got in a tackle, got assist but others around him didn't do their part
Gnabry. has potential but isn't the answer yet, we are missing the threat of theo
Giroud.scored, but that was it, not one of his best games

Subs.
Gibbs. should have started, too late to make impact
Ox. should have started In front of gnabry, couldn't get into game because of saints pressure
Podolski. came on too late, should have come on with Gibbs and gone for broke

Two days left in the transfer window, how about a defensive mid and striker arsene?

Chin up lads, maybe spurs and the hammers might save the day tomorrow!

I'm sure some people will put this post down to a reactionary response to not winning the game. You could look at the positives and say Southampton away is a hard place to go. We were lucky not to be at least two goals down in the first half as we didn't turn up till the second. Played with 10 men for the last twenty minutes etc etc, but let's be honest, if Man city or Chavski rocked up there tonight I just see them getting the three points. Yes we've had a better spirit about our squad this season, and yes we are more organised defensively as a team, but I still think we lack a mental ruthlessness.

We talk about how hard the next couple of months are going to be which they are, but we've now dropped points we couldn't afford to lose even before the 'big games' have even started. Before the season started I thought if we could get third and the f.a cup I'd be over the moon. With us mixing it at the top of the table I like everyone else have thought "just imagine if we could, " but I just can't see it I'm afraid.

As I said I know this will come across as a rant after not getting three points, but I just need to get this off my chest about Wenger.
What position were we all crying out for Wenger to buy in the Summer? STRIKER! The Özil signing was a wonderful feeling, but even with the joy of that signing it didn't mask the fact that we still needed to get a striker! Fast forward to now and we've had a period of Bendtner scoring two goals and some fans claimimg that "If Bendtner can get in form?" Since when has Bendtner been IN form. For a club of Arsenals stature to rely on Bendtner comes down to poor management of a squad. If he's the answer then what's the question?
Then there's Podolski. A player that Wenger isn't playing. Tonight being a prime example. Whether you believe he's the man or not ultimately Wenger isn't playing him.
So with three days left of the window the vast majority of us are worried about the same bloody thing we were worried about in the last bloody window I.e "we need a bloody striker!" This time round though we are met with the reality that the top top striker we would need to seriously strenghern us is nigh on impossible to get in this window. Frustrating is not the word!
For those of you who didn't get to see the Keane, Viera best of enemies programme Viera was asked, "What is Arsenes' biggest strength?" Viera answered, "his belief in his players." He was then asked "What is his biggest weakness?" Viera answered "His belief in his players." I knew exactly what he meant.

I'm usually one for posting fun posts. As this one wasn't let me end by telling a joke even if it is an old one.
What's 4 yards long and keeps a c**t warm?
A spurs scarf!
Cheer me up someone
Flybo :-(

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Jose really did one on us with pulling the plug on the Ba move - very shrewd

Striker and a winger with pace plus a CDM who could cover at centre back just in case

TV5 is not a CDM - just in case people start asking that question

With that said - Sagna needs to sign on the dotted line and also bulk up as he was pushed off the ball too easily for the goal. Arteta ( I am a big fan of him ) did not track back and showing his lack of sharpness as getting caught out if position as well as on the ball. Hopefully just match fitness.

Ox needs to step in for Rambo now! Big ask from the young an as still needs a few seasons under his belt.

We are looking a bit short on numbers and class in a few key positions plus an injury away from being a poor team.

Lets buy some players AW

Not panicking but rather how I see it

Agree0 Disagree0

Flybo, we are 2 points clear at top of the table and I won £10 on the lottery on saturday.

Arteta's a joke. been sayin it since the munich away game last year. what's it going to take for you lot to realise he's totally lost it.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2014 22:27:56
Okay so we need to buy a defensive midfielder similar to Flamini or we can forget beating Palace Liverpool and United! Fed up with Arteta in the deep he doesn't take it by the scruff of the kneck like Flamini does, hugely important week for us!

Not too impressed with tonight but think positive.

We are still 2 points clear of Man City and 3 in front of Chelsea although this will obviously change come tomorrow evening.

We have to beat Palace at home.

PS, has Podolski slept with Arsene's wife or something?
What's he got to do to get a game?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not too sure DG, Podolski must be thinking about leaving. surely. The bloke is a threat each time he comes on

Banbury, I hope not mate but you could be right.

I hate to say it but just like Vermaelen and Koscielny are not as solid as Mertesacker and Koscielny, I think Arteta and Flamini are not as strong together.

A point away at the saints is a decent result. Not great but we dust ourselves down and look forward to putting four past Palace on Saturday.

It's as good a game as any for Flamini to sit out with a one match ban.

28 Jan 2014 22:12:10
I hope i'm wrong but we've just give city a huge boost with that shambles. They are going to take some real beating now they have sorted their away form out, whereas we seem to be a puzzle piece short again.

Im going to stick my head out and admit I don't know what it is. i'm back with the consistant passing, play breaking centre mid to pull strings. But that may be Influenced by me being annoyed at flamini currently. Mr wenger, please do something special.

28 Jan 2014 22:08:00
Starting Arteta and Flam versus this team at their place was insanity

No wonder we couldn't get possession, they were quicker than us in the middle of the park

We took this game for granted and deserved to lose

Hope this wakes us up. We have been squeaking by for weeks now. Time to step it up

Dear Lukas poldolski,

I would just like to say on behalf of us Arsenal supporters that we strongly disagree in whatever reasoning mr Wenger has in not selecting you.

We see a man with over 100 caps for a great footballing nation who clearly loves pulling on the shirt for the gunners, we see a guy who having scored twice at the weekend is coming back to full fitness a guy that is arguably the best finisher in the club being disrespected by not only not starting you but also just as insulting bringing you on in the 90 th minute when by this time it was clear we had no ambition to win the game.

I hope whatever wengers problem is with you is quickly forgotten by him, if it is not I will fully understand if you ask for a transfer request and go to a club who's manager gives you the respect you deserve.

Just remember us Arsenal fans still love you.

Regards.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Great shout,
Podolski is awesome and deserves to start more games.
He can also be found in The Old Bull and Bush Occasionally.
Legend.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's worrying how little faith Wenger has in Podolski, totally stupid to have a striker of Podolskis quality and not play him

Agree0 Disagree0

Podolski will be off for sure, there is NO insentive for him to stay . . is there?

28 Jan 2014 21:59:39
Stupid reckless challenge that was a straight red and bloody stupid

Deserved to be sent off and hopefully fined by the club

Could really have done some damage jumping in like that and now misses the next 3 games. person

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Love the language filter on here, haha priceless

28 Jan 2014 21:53:33
How disappointing was that?
Arteta and Flamini never seems to work, Poldi should have been on much earlier for me.
If Gibbs is fit why is he on the bench, much better than Nacho IMO.
Apart from the first ten mins of the second half we were second best.
Have to look at it as a point gained rather than two dropped after that performance.
We have to batter Palace at home next weekend before City (hopefully ) draw with the Chaves.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Let's hope Arsene doesn't make too much of the free kick that never was, he got a few bits wrong himself tonight and his time would be better spent looking in the mirror Rather than pointing the finger.
Hey ho we can recover from this

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2014 21:52:42
Well that didn't make for pleasant viewing, the moment I saw both Flamini and Arteta together on the team sheet I worried, they simply do not work well together. I don't know what has happened to him but apart from the odd game Arteta has really fallen off the pace. Nobody seemed like they wanted to win tonight not the players, nor Wenger, after grabbing two goals in his last game would of liked to have seen podolski on earlier before the sending off ideally. Let's keep our heads up now this next month will make or break us, don't want to see a repeat of the effect the 2-2 draw with Birmingham had on us back in 2008. Hopefully if the right player becomes available, we can add to the squad over the next few days, and get another lift much like the signing of Ozil provided and push on.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Jan 2014 21:46:23
As good as he is at protecting the back 4, Flamini is a walking red card. In Italy you might get away with harder tackles but not in the PL. Could've been sent of not long after coming on for something similar against Spurs.

It also HAS to be only him or Arteta. Never both.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Jan 2014 21:42:40
That's our title dreams gone for another. Ten years

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah that's just what we need a little
positivity.
There is a long way to go yet and while we have a lot of difficult games ahead of us, so does everyone else.
Keep the faith Gooners and let's hope the cheque book comes out in the next few days.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit of an over reaction that mate, good nights sleep and look at it again tomorrow would be a good idea

Agree0 Disagree0

We are still top of the league jelfy, 1 point gained is better than 3 points lost.

That 1 point just might win us the league come may.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not relly think about if we don't sign at least 3 players that's it att mid winger and a striker season over in my eyes maybe the fa cup who knows if he doesn't spend after this loss which it is if we want to wing the title then we defo won't win it but with 3 days left can he pull off 3 ozil signings I think noy

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelfy,

No offence but you sound like a petulant brat.

Take the disappointment and move on. Stop throwing your toys out the pram.

We're still top by 2pts, 3pts from City. It's not like we're scrapping for fourth as usual!

That is as bad a performance as Villa on the opening day. Lucky to get a point. What Flamini was up to I will never know, we had a chance before he got sent off.
We know now two holding midfielders doesn't work, with only 1 up front we need more creativity in midfield.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Whenever Arteta and Flamini played together we played poorly.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2014 21:10:41
Got to be either or when it comes to Flam and Arteta they are both to negative! This works perfectly when counterbalanced with a creative player I would have gone with Rosicky in the Rambo role!?

This has to change, awful team selection, got to get podloski on the left carzola in the center, there is just no one in the center when arsenal have the ball.

Arteta or Flamini one of the 2 need to sit down, no midfield at the moment.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Jan 2014 20:36:43
Flamini and arteta in and no podolski, enough said

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Jan 2014 20:11:56
Based on the game so far, we need another attacking mid. Thought we had enough :D

Flamini and Arteta in midfield just doesn't work.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Jan 2014 20:09:03
We have not left the changing rooms! 1-0 down after 21mins! We've been so sluggish! This is what happens when you arrive late to the game!

We'l need a big performance to get a result now! C'mon you Gooners!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Jan 2014 19:06:07
Starting lineup doesn't fill me with confidence.
Arteta/Flamini in the middle has not worked at all this season. Ramsey must not be 100% but even still we know soton will press us, we need our best ball players who can move it quick and get the ball out of our half. We've got 2 players who rarely venture past halfway and just pass sideways.
Also I feel Podolski should be starting on the left.

He had a great understanding with Ozil on Friday and he's without doubt our best finisher.

Hope I'm proved wrong but don't have a good feeling about this one now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm lost on poldolski too? He must have put a Whoopi cushion under Arsene's seat or something equally bad.
If we play 4 2 3 1 I can see some point to the selection.
For me Poldolski would be in above Carzola! But then again if have left him out the last game and he scored two so let's hope Arsene proves us wrong again tonight with his selection, he usually doe me

Agree0 Disagree0

AG, I too am not a big fan of Arteta and Flamini but I think Wengers hand was forced a bit. Rambo was due to be in the squad and possibly start. Personally I would have the passing and pace of the Ox in the middle. Especially after his decent game on Friday.

Agree0 Disagree0

We should line up, with the players we currently have fit, of:
Flamini, Cazorla
Gnabry, Ozil, Podolski

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. ozil not in the game, Carolann wasted out wide, I don't care if he used to play outside he is better in the middle. Be happy with a draw at this stage

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2014 18:54:50
So did anyone see the Fa cup game. Chambo played in the middle alongside wilshere and I must say he done a solid job with some on the best long range passing I have seen. Reminded me of gerrard.

My point is at the moment we have a very versatile squad.

I can't think of many player that would do anything for us at the moment that we have been linked with. Draxler wouldn't start for us?.

We have the likes of myachi and frimpong if worst case scenario happens.

Chambo rosicky and cazorla play of both wings aswell as centrally. Pod is another option upfront aswell as a returning sanogo. Diaby will be back one day.

I just can't think of who I would drop or who I would sign to sit on the bench unless the likes of di Maria where to become available or Alexis Sanchez

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You cannot rely on Miyaichi and the complete tosser that is Frimpong to win you the PL title.

Hey Gents and Jenny,

I'm looking for a stream for today's match, any suggestions?

Thanks, COYG

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Try wiziwig,
Usually pretty good.

Agree0 Disagree0

There's a stream in Colindale called The Silkstream. It's pretty fast flowing and very refreshing especially after heavy rain. Not sure you will be able to see any of the match from any part of it though (unless you can see a tv through a window of a house backing onto it that has one of these legally questionable feeds from Europe or Nigeria etc.)

Download sopcast and open Wiziwig, great streams, great quality especially the russian ones.

Good post Lakerville - I agree a CDM would be the best addition to our 'key' players. Personally I think a more traditional DM (although still a great passer) would add a different dimension to our game, someone like Matuidi or Lars Bender. We should remember though that Arteta and Flamini are top class players in this position and have a few years left in them.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Class is never a question when it comes to flamini and arteta. but with age comes injury concerns.

and Arteta and Flamini have this season suffered quite a few of these setbacks.

and looking at others along that age group you see quite a few players being unable to remain fit for majority of the season.

Xavi, Xavi Alonso, Iniesta, Puyol, so on and so forth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Schneiderlain anyone? Yes please.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2014 12:10:18
It struck me as strange when Fabio Capello got a great new deal from England - before he had delivered the goods. We've had a good start to the season but we shouldn't let all this excitement go to our heads. The job is far from done and it remains a very real possibility that we might end up scrapping it out for 4th place again. Don't get me wrong - I'm not being negative, I've been as proud and ecstatic as anyone to see us at the top of the table, but can see a mountain to climb ahead with many slippery slopes.
I sincerely hope AW brings in some reinforcements, specifically up front - we all know that failure to do that would be madness - maybe the kind that comes from being an autonomous leader. We have a great chance to capitalise on our position THIS season, don't let's blow it by missing the boat. This transfer window is beginning to look familiar. If there's business to be done surely leaving it to the last minute like this can only be a risky strategy. The signing of Ozil might have papered over a few cracks. We got him at the last minute and it doesn't bare thinking about how close we came to missing out - or where we'd be without him. But the need for another striker was clear even then.
The mood here this season has been slightly giddy, myself included - AW's beautiful game with added steel and a new determination are huge cause for optimism - but the run of fixtures ahead would stretch a squad the size of $hitty's.
Hope I don't get blasted for these words of caution, but even if the signings are made, leaving it so late is making my bum incredibly squeeky.
COYG!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mornin' mate,

I don't think any Arsenal fans are that arrogant to be counting their eggs before they hatch at this point in the season tbh, especially how the last 5 five years have gone.

But as you say, everyone is in good spirits because the club is heading in a great direction and we are competing without a sugar daddy or being bank rolled by a billionaire owner.

I would just say that Wenger clearly knows what he's doing, he is not without fault by any means, but I would not swap him for any manager in the world past or present. He is Arsenal through and through and will do what he thinks is best for the team.

Keep the faith bruv!
Peace,
Trinidad-Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

In complete agreement, very happy with where we are, but do we risk everything on Giroud remaining injury free and Super Nick banging them in when he plays? Or with money in the bank do we do the prudent thing and strengthen the strike force? How will fans feel if we come up short on silverware due specifically to not strengthening that position - imagine coming 3rd or 4th because we end up with no fit striker? That would be entirely down to Wenger and there would be no hiding from the facts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Realisticgooner

You said " I hope I don't get blasted for these words of caution".

Far from it mate, great post in my opinion and you echo the thoughts of most Gooners.

Good post.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree we need another striker but to be fair signing the right player doesn't look easy! There are a shortage off top quality strikers and in this window players are not always going to want to move now and risk not making the world cup I think that there will be a lot of clubs trying to sign forwards in the summer and more chance of getting the right deal done then

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2014 11:37:22
Not Arsenal related

read a report by Guillem balague on ssn, where he talks about barcelona planning a massive summer spend.

So taking aside the likes of Messi, Neymar, Cesc, Xavi, Puyol, Pique, Busquets, Alba, iniesta, sergi roberto, tello, Dani Alves, it looks like barcelona will need to raise some funds to spend some.

I expect the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Pedro, Isaac Cuenca, Afellay to bring some cash to fund their search for a defender and apparently they are looking for a striker too ( no idea why)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Laker, would love Alexis Sanchez in an Arsenal shirt, absolute class striker, IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've been a massive fan of Sanchez for years and would love him in an arsenal shirt!

Been reading about the transfer news, and while I agree with Ed002, that the Draxler situation may come to a fold in the summer, I can't help but hope it is in this transfer window.

So let's have a look at our midfield.

Rosicky, Cazorla, Arteta, Flamini - the old guard as I would like to call them

Ramsey, Wilshere, Ozil - the main guard (key players)

Gnabry, Walcott, Ox, (possibly draxler) - the wingers

we can see that from the old guard, Rosicky and Cazorla can be supplemented by the likes of wilshere, gnabry, Ox.

while from the holding position, Arteta and Flamini will need cover, Ramsey and wilshere can cover these position, but not together as they are too attack minded together.

So effectively we need a CDM, and with our style of play a Cabaye type player would have been ideal.

So with the summer approachin, and the likes of Toni Kroos possibly on the market, I don't see why we should not go in for a player of his calibre.

If draxler is going to be a CF, ST, then its only hopefull to have a player like kroos (hes geman too) to solidy that position, and give Arteta and Flamini a rotational partner.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

For me, Wenger signing a contract extension is better than signing Draxler.

Now we have been brought through the years of paying off the stadium into this incredible era where we have debt free money to spend, Wenger is the best man to have that responsibility. Although we would all love to splash money like City and Chelsea, Wenger is sticking to his project and only signing players he wants that fit that plan.

Don't get me wrong, I'm certain Draxler is part of that plan and I see him coming in the summer to become our new winger-adapated-centre forward like Henry & RVP, but for now Wenger is a more important signing.

Now next to get Sagna tied down for 2 years because Jenks is far from ready.

I have a feeling that Sagna is leaving, hence no deal agreed. I do not think that Jenkinson will ever be good enough to take over from Sagna, nor as cover. Against Coventry he was our weakest player by far.
I would be surprised if we sign anyone before the current window closes, hence the contract renewals have been announced, with Wenger's finally being announced when the window closes, as some sort of consolation for not signing any players.
I was shocked by Wenger's outbursts about the January window & the fixtures. It showed a weakness & combined with no signings, it sends out the wrong message.

Wenger deserves to reap the rewards of his hard work, I would be gutted if he left now.
I'm really pleased we do things differently to city and Chelski, seeing youngsters brought through and flourish is much more satisfying than just keep paying millions out for fully developed players.
DONT get me wrong love the fact we bought Ozil and if one or two more like him come in the summer I wouldn't be to sad but just would hate to be a totally buying super star club

I think as long as we keep Wenger we have a better chance of attracting top players.

If you recall Ozil said Wenger was MASSIVE in convincing him to join the might gunners. Players want to play for him, we would have been stupid to not extend his contract. I am over the moon :)

I truly hope we sign Draxler, who is an exceptional player. It will give the squad a similar boost to the one they had when we signed Ozil. Once fit, he can help make up for the loss of Walcott.

Hi, someone can clear this up for me probably.
Is TR7 injured beyond the broken nose he got given by Agboghghhgfhjkjhglahor?

He was is the squad for Fulham after the Villa game but not in for Contry or tomorrow it seems?

Cheers. L-Gun

Not as far as I know Leegun, I think he is available for selection.

The nose of TR7 is very delicate and needs much care. It's rumoured that his waste tissues have a street value in excess of 3 figures each. Vintage ones from the 2008/09 season can fetch ten times that!
