Solid performance and a good win. I was very impressed with our 3 youngsters. Holding really impresses me and I can see a great future for him. Maitland-Niles had a fine game. He has excellent technique. He needs to gain experience and strengthen physically, Reinne-Adelaide has bags of potential, which hopefully he can fullfil.
We didn't miss Wenger on the bench, as he rarely coaches from the touchline.

Much prefer Ox in the middle - played great and really benefited from the time and space Southampton granted him.
Very impressed with Perez - shame he didn't score but great build up play and effort
Nice celebration fron Welbeck and well done Theo - great game for confidence

Got a bad feeling about the Southampton game reckon we are going to lose. This away fixture is one we've struggled with in the past few seasons.

Can see Wenger playing a weakened side aswell, which to be fair makes a lot of sense with big games in the league on the horizon. Can see Ospina, Maitland Niles, Gabriel, Gibbs, Ox, Welbeck and Lucas all coming into the team. Looking a bit light in CM need Coq and Ramsey to start imo.

Im going for 2-0 Saints i'm afriad

Thankfully saints out out the youth squad. Bit silly really but it gave our strikers a boost. Well done welbeck and theo.

I think after they put us out of the milk cup when we played a similar side they thought they could do the job with the team put out at home! Nice result the three youngsters mentioned above were good but I really like Perez think he is quality

What's everyone's thoughts on AW's 4 match ban. I believe it's right. You should not push an official ( even if it was a girlie push per the metro! - evening moaning he cannot push properly ) , if you are sent off then you should clear off and you shouldn't offend an official by calling him a cheat ( even if lost in translation) ,

The game needs to stand up to this and they have done - well done.

However, I just want consistency. What about Terry's 4 match ban for racism, Rooney Fing at refs all the time. Consistency please.

Just like Granit's red card against Swansea - I am happy with it as no intent to play the ball BUT please be consistent. .

So in short well done FA but please be bloody consistent and have some correlation in the bans you dish out.

What did Pardew get for his headbut?

Agree SY4 and I have an explanation for you. Terry and Rooney are English. I remember when Suarez got 10 games or smth like that for racism. yet Terry survived with 4.consistency would be great.

Wenger used his head after and apologised, which probably saved him a 10 match ban. You don't touch officials, its not a good idea.
