Prediction's for tomorrow people?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - 1-3 for me G62..

Decent call that Ed in fact I think either 1 3 or 2 1, if we can put two good results together on the trot it could be a turning point in our season.
The 2 1 is based on our inconsistency so far this season and I'm a little afraid to get to excited just yet but the defending and discipline on Wednesday was very impressiveand cause for optimismno question

Sorry to be a neg head, but 1-1.

I'm hoping for another clean sheet to keep the boys at the backs confidence up after the Dortmund result. i'm predicting a testing 1-0 with Giroud getting back amongst the goals.

Cant see us not winning. 3-1

Backing VdG here. A comfortable 1-0 with less posession and the team playing within itself would mean lesson learned from midweek. I'd fall over backwards if Wenger rotated the team for any reasons but injury, so 1-0 and no drama or over exertions please.

Agree0 Disagree0

Big prediction for me 4-0 to us!

Our local dentist retired today after 45 years at the same practice, his patience had a whip round and got him a commemorative plaque

My local dentist also works as a court usher.

Today, just before he extracted one of my teeth, I said to him, "Do you swear to pull the tooth, the whole tooth and nothing but the tooth?".

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - reading your jokes is sometimes as painful as a visit to the dentist dags.. :)

28 Nov 2014 20:47:51
Ed, I have fillings you know, sorry I mean feelings.

Ooppss, there I go again :-)

{Ed025's Note - oh dear..

And painfully. my doctors called Lance boyle

{Ed025's Note - are you sure its not boilatelli mick?...cos hes a pain in the arse as well.. :)

28 Nov 2014 21:59:57
Lol, nice one Ed

Agree0 Disagree0

It is pretty funny when he's playing though Ed. you never know what may happen next, but alas a tad frustrating, akin to being told by the chelsea physio that actually you are suffering with a migraine, not a groin strain.

{Ed025's Note - i like that mick.. :)

So after not watching the game the other night, I've been told that Wenger actually changed tactics during last night's game?! Surely either my old man is pulling my leg or he's come down with a severe and rapidly progressive case of glaucoma. I mean this is Arsene Wenger we're talking about.

Anyone care to fill me in?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Nov 2014 20:45:18
Its true mate.

The main difference was, when 2-0 up, we didn't go gung-ho looking for a 3rd.

The defence dropped back further than normal and remained disciplined and the midfield protected the back 4. More like a 4-4-2 (ish) formation.

Was actually a joy to watch.

Agree0 Disagree0

CIG,

We were the best I've seen us in a long time against Dortmund. Hopefully we can start putting in these types of performances from now on and salvage our season!

If you was Darren Bent, would you put your first name only on the back of your shirt?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I wonder how many shirts they would sell in Brighton with his name on the back if he signs a permanent deal?}

28 Nov 2014 17:40:38
Lol, exactly Ed.

I think you could get away with it in Brighton :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I am dreading the chants when he plays, they are bad enough as it is regarding Brighton.}

28 Nov 2014 18:08:47
Dags are you for or against signing Lars Bender and if we do will you be getting the shirt.

Thankfully I don't think there's any chance that the Portuguese goalkeeper Quim will be signing for us now he's retired. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Nov 2014 18:26:38
Lol Red,
Well, we had David Seaman and Paul Dickov.

Glad we didn't sign Danny Shittu because he was, well, shittu.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Celtic had Rafael Scheidt, whose surname was pronounced exactly like he played......}

Should he ever score a goal at home for Brighton then you will see a pitch invasion that could turn into a full blown weekend parade with 10,000 fans running round the pitch signing " I am what I am"

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Nov 2014 18:45:35
Ed, you wouldn't believe Scheidt was Brazilian :-)

Love it G62.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - if he was managed by Rodgers, you would end up disputing if he was even a football player, let alone a Brazilian one......}

Nottingham Forest have a defender named Jack Hunt. Funnily Enough, commentator's never say his whole name - they settle with just 'Hunt'.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kevin keegan signed a guy called Brian Pinas during his time at Newcastle and it's well documented Martin Jol's brothers are named Dick and Cock, obviously Martin must have been the favourite child!

Yet another injury and operation for Jack Wilshere. He's 22 years old and as far as the Daily Mail report he has been injured an astonishing 25 times totalling 119 weeks out of action. Say he's been on an average salary of £65K throughout that's salary in the region of ~£7.8Million for sitting on the bench.

Yes I appreciate players get injured and it's part and parcel in the game. What I can't stomach though is the ongoing issues.Wilshere will be Diaby II and will be a constant bugbear as long as he is contracted by Arsenal.

I've read loads of articles about his glass ankles, his cocaine habit, his smoking, his attitude but when he turns up to play there's no doubt he is fantastic. Unfortunately those games are few and far between so I'd like to see the club open to offers on him. I wouldn't miss him if he wasn't here.

I stopped reading at Daily Mail

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Nov 2014 15:10:41
Apparently during the initial assessment of the injury, all the professionals agreed that it was nothing to do with his glass ankles for a chsmge, but the damage caused by that tackle.

I think something is amiss as we always seem to get Mike Dean as ref when we play United, and that guy always seems to have it in for us. It was plain to see that it was a malicious and horrific challemg challenge, you could see his studs showing, and I believe that most other officials would have made him walk. Our record with Mike Dean reffing speaks for itself.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes mike Dean is a curse. I was amazed we still had 11 on the field come the end of the match. He loves sending players off, especially ours!

It was a combo of the daily mail and physio room - the two gospels of truth. ahem.

Still JW continued injuries bother me.

G83,

I think that if our overall injury record wasn't so pathetic it wouldn't seem such a big thing.

It's not his original injury but a concern because the ankle or ankles have been the cause of previous lay offs.

It's just a shame because he's had a couple of knocks this season but come back no problem.

United are the new Stoke so I guess you're going to see that kind of tackle from their poorer players.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Red Dog our mounting injuries always puts the limelight on Players such as Wilshere. Rightly so? Maybe but I would like to see us stick by him for a few more years to see if he can shake off his poor injury record.

With Ox threatening to become our Aaron Ramsey success of he season and Sanogo our Bentner replacement, Who will be our Kim Kallstrom of this January's window?
Please remember he must be injured on arrival :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Nov 2014 09:22:41
Wilshere will be like a new signing when he is back so will it be him? and save the money?

I think the Kimmy K has been done already this year with Mr Ospina!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Nov 2014 09:49:26
Wilshere ankle looked painful as hell, look at the way it bent, the new signing you mean is diaby?

G62, I'm guessing Jimmy bullard?

Agree0 Disagree0

It will probably be someone like Javi Martinez as the great centre half we desperately need. He will come in on loan, be injured until the end of May, make use of our physio team and return to Bayern for the start of the 2015 campaign!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you have to be all moaned out by now VDG, you just smashed dortmond mate..chin up fella

I'm thinking a Owen Hargreaves's Johnathan Woodgate and Mathew Upson triple swoop with Ledley King as back up should any of them pass their medical at the last minute :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Nov 2014 17:13:58
Cheeky bid for Michael Owen?

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair Ed we did play well against Dortmund, although they are by all accounts having a worse season than us at the moment. I'm expecting a tougher game against the Baggies this weekend!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Nov 2014 05:48:03
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's match against West Brom. I would like to see Podolski, Rosicky, Koscielny, Giroud and Campbell in the starting line up.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wouldn't risk Kos Robbie I'd get him 100% and ease him back in.
As much as possible I'd play the same 11 as Wednesday and say its up to you to keep your places now, keep winning and I'll keep picking you

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree 62 too much rotation will cost us points at the moment.

Dagala, G62 and Ed25 all banned from White Hart Lane after tonight's antics. In my opinion, whoever went first should be given a contract at Spurs; they showed better movement than any of Tottenham's current forwards have shown all season.

Just received an anonymous text.

It said "salmon, cod, skate, mackerel, pilchard, carp, trout and sea bass".

I'm not going to reply. Seems a bit fishy to me.
