Use our rumours form to send us arsenal transfer rumours.

Eds, do you know what's going on with sakho heard a few rumours that he is stalling on contract talks these have come from fairly unreliable sources over the net! and I know we have been interested in the past but would we be in for him if he decided to leave? I think he's an incredible defender and would complete our back four.
thanks in advance.

Correct me if I'm wrong and I probably talking complete nonsense but when the player signs, he needs to have photos taken with the club shirt so does the announcement have to be made when all the new season club merchandise is released - comments eds and others would be appreciated? {Ed027's Note - He doesn't have to, Podolski never at first

I'd love The Emirates to be like that on match days. Use cannons, better music, the lot.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The atmosphere in that video looks buzzing! would definately get anyone up for the match in the right mood. Would love to see this sort of thing replicated in England, preferably the Emirates.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cue cannon before the team walks on the pitch. Fans bring flags and drums. More chanting and songs.

I want us Arsenal fans to be the best fans in Europe, continuing our respectful and professional reputation. Truthfully, I want us to be more motivating. On some occasions throughout the year, it pained me to hear the silence of the Emirates. I don't live in England and haven't had the luxury of attending an Arsenal game, but if I did, I sure wouldn't be silent! COYG I'll be cheering from Arizona

Rather than "the hig", don't u guys think it would sound so much cooler if we gave it a French twist and called him "Le Hig" instead when he joins us?

If Di Maria is on the move, buy him over Rooney 10 times out of 10. Haven't had one of him at the club since Pires.

Him and Higuain have a fantastic on pitch chemistry as well, lot of Di Maria assists turn into Higuain goals

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Let's hope this is why the deals taking so long as is complicated with the both of them, or even better all of them, take ozil and coentraeu off their wage bill as well if like

Diaby's attitude is incredible

Just goes on with it despite it all

I will always cheer for that guy. One full season, could you imagine? PL and Europe wouldn't know what hit them.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree, despite the criticism off our fans he does not set out to get injured. Like you say would love a season of diaby and jack fully fit

Carlisle gunner

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely with you.

He's not much worse than RVP at the same stage if you think about it but I would put my house on him never stabbing us in the back the way that person did.

One whole season. Silverware.

For sure.

29 Jun 2013 19:31:27
Totally agree. He is like Patrick Viera, only made of biscuits and cardboard instead of bricks and steel. Very talented guy, I love him and wish him speedy recovery

Agree0 Disagree0

2009-2010 season, Diaby got about 27? premier league games (+ cup games, european games) - between 35 and 40 games in that season.

We finished 3rd, 11 points behind chelsea in 1st.

To be fair, your theory that if diaby was fit for a full season we would win things. well its nonsense. The guy is damaged goods, and we need to let him go.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have a good attitude if I was getting paid what he is to essentially do nothing, apart from checking in with the physio every now and then. He's not a brilliant footballer. He's good, but he's not the difference between us being successful and not. That's just ridiculous.

Eds, can you shed any light on the players that we will most likely sign this summer?

thanks!

Suffolk Gooner {Ed027's Note - Higuain, Cesar, Williams, Fellaini all according to rumours, but it has to be said strong rumours. Sanogo will sign, Aurier looks certain with these pics, Grenier seems to be a Wenger buy. Crowli and the young Barca cb will aslo sign, expect more younger players as we had a major clear out in the youths.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What pics ed? {Ed027's Note - Some pics the lad put up on twitter, he's wearing a beautiful top :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely signing Aurier means Sagna is off? Hope it doesn't push Jenks to 3rd choice? I really liked him last half of the season.
Anyone know much about this Ivorian lad? Will he be competing for first choice RB straight away?
Thanks

Am I the only one who's calm?! For starters the window is not open yet and people are saying what a disappointing summer window it is WTF?! Also this is our arsenal were talking about the most discreet club about transfers for all we know we could have 3 players tied up they wouldn't announce it until the window officially opens. So chill out boys if it gets to August and we haven't signed anyone then be worried till then smoke a joint or something! :p

Eds, can you just answer me straight, Higuain, yes or no? If so then when?

thanks! {Ed027's Note - Yes, don't know, i'm frustrated with all of this!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What I have heard is the ball is firmly in Madrids court. We want the player. The player wants us. But Madrid are yet to sanction a sale.
I believe its because Madrid want Cavani. His buy out is 50+mill. That buy out clause expires in early August. So Madrid and whoever else can bid less. So until the Cavani situation is clearer to Madrid I wouldn't expect them to sanction anything with Higuain.

You have to assume, surely, that Aurier or whatever his name is wouldn't have had that picture taken of himself unless there was something close to happening?

No news on Chamakh departing or Jovetic being linked with a move away from Fiorentina. Chamakh is pulling around 50 k a week. km

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's on 93k a week. unless we make an agreement whereby we sub a chunk of his wages for the rest of his contract, he ain't going nowhere.
AG

Agree0 Disagree0

Wait we pay Chamakh 93k/wk?

Let me go spit up some blood for a minute

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes on 50?

Agree0 Disagree0

The 93k if accurate woud include his signing on fee as he was a free agent. The same reason when we signed sol Campbell he was on 100k+ per week

Agree0 Disagree0

Let the guy go and pay same wage to Marouane Fellaini.

Looking forward to 1st July (and a few days after), I honestly think that Wenger and Gazidis will have already done a lot of work arranging fees and personal terms etc. There is a long way to go until the window closes, but I really do think that we will be happy Gooners by the end of next week.
Mark my words"Things will start happening from July1st" (2013, of coarse).

So, eventful night last night. Ended up out for an old friends birthday and a whole new crowd and lo and behold, EVERYONE OF THEM was a Tottenham supporter.

Exciting night, I thought to myself. They proceeded to inform me how it's official that bale is going and they will have higuain instead of us along with coentrau (sorry for spelling). Their initial judgement was how they are, and I quote 'a better team, better players and a wanted club' after this they proceeded to shout out the Tottenham stand song of 'you only have one song' which I replied with an hours torrid of every song I know, even back to 'Viera wooaahhh' haha

Anyway, these Tottenham fans then spent the rest of the night explaining how crap we are as a club, how we cheat and how their carling cup In 2008 was HUGE. One by one they all fell in to my web.

It started with a Coldplay gig 'beautiful stadium' to 'I'd take Andre santos'

I could not stop myself from laughing.

Moral of the story - sometimes we don't need to defeat the enemy with a full on force, a bit of espionage is always appropriate ;)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ha! The pain at the Lane just goes on!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's like West Brom saying they are better than us

Our worst year was better than their best

Agree0 Disagree0

US GOoner I said the same thing and had such a back lash. At the beginning of the night they just didn't get it And by the end was even worse. funniest thing was not one of them had even looked at seeing a match, let alone ever seen one live. I'm happy to have seen us win theFA CUP, yada yada and they were also weird about that

Quote

' why pay So much when you can watch it on telly '? Um really.

My wife's annoyed theses days from the 2 for 1 emirates tours. Let alone not ever seeing a Live match haha

With Damaio being Spurs top target for this summer and Southampton bidding 20 for him do you see this affecting Arsenal's bid for Hig? {Ed030's Note - No mate,If Tottenham want Damiao I am sure they will go in with a bigger bid. }

I'v got a feeling the Higuain deal will be completed either Today, Tomorrow or Monday at most. I think either way with the Transfer Window finally opening, I believe the team will want to present a new signing to gain momentum.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I've been told it is on hold while we are considering our options.

29 Jun 2013 12:28:16
Hope you are right. no one can guess what's going on behind closed doors. Madrid might be trying to buy someone and told Arsenal to keep quite due to the amount they want to pay. Hypothetically they might be in for a player. I. e Napoli. They say we can't afford the money you want, that team then says, what about the money you got from Arsenal for Higuian. If they keep the deal on hold, or quite, it could be better for their Negotiations. If you was buying a house that was valued at 200k and you wanted to pay 180k. you don't tell them you sold your present house for 750k. None of us are privy to the info. But this I'd driving me mad. km

Agree0 Disagree0

Or I think they will promote the new away kit using a new signing.

Come on lads!
All I read on this pages is how long Arsenal takes to
get a player to the club. Dont you think all the fanbases feel the same. The fans begin to hype things up long before the club starts their intrest in a player-you all know that dont ya. This summer will be great, Higuain and Caesar is allready done (Dont you feel it in your bones) and ontop of that to be linked with Rooney and/or Fellaini (with actually bids layed out?). We don't need all the best players-we only need the best team on the pitch (look at our finishing games in the spring). Lets all be positive in this window. Over and out

Another day another no signing, just rumours flying around left right and centre and nothing concrete, wenger is stubborn and does things at his snail pace he is also undecisive leaving other teams to snap up our targets this we all know. The January transfer window watching teams buying players was then along the screen arsenal and monreal with minutes to go to deadline, regardless of who we are linked with wenger will buy players that leave us scratching our heads, or he will come the 1st of july announce an array of players signed all this money to spend on tranfers and he is still penny pinching, the deadwood are finally leaving, time for wenger to give the fans something to shout and smile about if he doesn't it's time to say au revoir

Has anybody in a official role at arsenal said we are in for rooney or higuain?,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Have they said anything about anyone yet

Agree0 Disagree0

Not that I know of, but then it is not good policy to officially announce you are signing a player unless the deal is 100% done.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Wenger did mention that any club the world would be interested in Rooney if he was available.

29 Jun 2013 08:22:08
Surely if Wenger was prepared to spend around 12.5m on Villa last Janurary, who will be 32 this September. Then Higuain, a 25 year old must be worth 22-25m pounds. If his father states that personal details have been agreed then it must be a case of when, rather than if. Unless Madrid have other plans. This deal might be done and dusted. Tgey might want to unvail two or three players at the same time. I do like De Rossi. Roma are willing to sell all their players except Totti. Wouldn't be expensive. Good experiance, fine player, winning attitude. Km

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't believe Wenger was willing to spend £12.5m on Villa in the last windo, which is possibly the reason we didn't succeed in signing him. The negotiations for top players are difficult, unless you have unlimited resources. The deal that is frustrating me is the one for Fellaini. If reports are correct we can trigger the release clause & pay £100,000 per week to secure him. However, if reports are correct we are trying to sign him for less than the trigger & pay him arounf £70,000 pw, when he is already on £75,000 pw. I think Fellaini would be an awesome signing. Whilst, I have reservations about Higuain. My choices would be Begovic, Willaims, Fellaini, Nani & Jevotic.

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't want Manchester United crap no to nani. And rooney

Agree0 Disagree0

Imagine:
Begovic
Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs
Fellaini Arteta
Nani Wilshere Cazorla
Jevotic
&
Szczesny
Jenkinson Williams Vermaelen Monreal
Ramsey Abu Diaby
Walcott Rosicky Podolski
Giroud

Two powerful teams! {Ed027's Note - Ox???

No matter how hard it is to read all the rumours without feeling one minute we are going to storm the transfer market and the next drowning in our own pool of frothing saliva. We are told this is the start of something now we have x why and z in place, couple this with all players being moved on to pastures new, I just hope and prey we don't fill those spaces with more bench earners.

i find having no expectations is usually the best policy, it is time for us to put up or shut up!

the higuain rumours and prospective transfer personify arsenal during the transfer window. now while I admit that madrid not having a manager makes things harder, we still take an age to get deals done and every fan is worried we will mess it up and something will go wrong. and the other side of that is everybody with a twitter account or internet access is an expert on arsenal's transfer dealings or knows somebody who know's him or an agent, or is a well respected journalist etc. the number of times over the last 2 weeks i've seen medical tomorrow, or medical today, or announcement tomorrow. then when it doesn't happen then its oh yeah it's actually happening next week that's 100% right trust me. and whilst all this happens you get the it was a smokescreen for x or suddenly the club don't want to sell the player or arsenal refused to meet demands and it never happens. and if it does happen it happens when none of us expect it. can we all just admit that we don't know what is goin
g on and just wait this horrible process out together, rather than making it more frustrating and harder for everyone else? we are all in the same boat here and just want the best for the club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Spot on. And the amount of times I've read that "Arsenal have missed out on. " when it's the first time their names been mentioned. It's cruel how people prey on the desperate and vulnerable. ;-)
All that aside though, even though I'm very much in the "haven't got a scooby" club, I do believe this will be a very healthy window for us.

It is a rumour site though, if you don't want to listen to peoples geussing upcoming transfers its probably not the site to go on then. I personally don't mind all the lies and assumptions it gives me something to read and think about. Even if it does get my hopes up. Especially on the Higuian front all I want is for that transfer to be done so we can move on to talking about other things.

Apparently Di Maria may be sold this summer.

If we grabbed him and Higuain for 45m I would be over the moon. He would be a class replacement for Gervinho and Arshavin. Add Grenier, Fellaini and Cesar and we have ourselves a title challenging team.
