Anybody seen pics of Daniella Samaan, Cesc Fab's girlfriend?

No wonder he's playing crap.

In the past you've called a few less that beauty's but I've got to say this time she's enough to make even Steve smile first thing in the morning.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 23:07:54
Gunner not seen her recently but what I remember, she could do with a few good meals. i'm a plus size man myself, I like something to get hold of. don't like coathangers.

Now I've got the vision of you as Benny Hill in the Italian job Steve

G62,
You have just broke new ground mate.
Never thought I would see the words 'Steve' and 'Smile' in the same sentence.

Speaking of coat hangers.
I accidentally locked my coat hanger in my car today.
Luckily for me, I had my car keys on me.

29 Oct 2015 20:01:44
Cech, Monreal, Kos, Gabs, Bellerin, Caz, Coq, Ozil, Sanchez, Campbell and Giroud.
That's the team to play Swansea.
Despite our injuries, that's a strong team.
We beat Swansea, we go to Bayern with confidence.

Calm down everybody. You are all making a mountain out of a molehill.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Oct 2015 20:32:35
I don't understand where all this mountains out of mole hills talk is coming from as far as I know no ones written us off or suggested where in a complete mess or anything like that, all that's been quite rightly said is the squad is light on quality strength in depth in peoples opinions which playing Joel, our limited options up top and some of the faces on the bench will show Saturday.
I don't see how that's making a mountain out of a molehill its just stating a fact surely.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 20:47:06
You are indeed correct G62,

But all this talk about playing Right backs as Right Wingers and Centre halves as wingers is absurd.

Somebody even said play Ed025 there :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 21:58:36
Its been talked about premier league B teams joining the lower leagues maybe the league cup could become a forerunner of that with one team each from premier league championship league 1 and 2 forming a group and play home and away for a place in the later stages? Would give experience to young prem players plus give smaller clubs a boost financially.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 23:29:39
Good point G62,
We could play them all on the right wing :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Oct 2015 07:20:57
You a lot of worry because we are short on the wing, we are a bunch of bullies if we are scared of Swansea because we are only better in 7 or 8 out of 11 positions for the weekend - poor, poor arsenal.

Do you think Campbell would get a game with Swansea, chances are he might.

So tough it up lads.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Oct 2015 07:33:15
We will beat Swansea d, that I am VERY confident about.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Oct 2015 09:58:25

29 Oct 2015 19:50:49
What are peoples thoughts about those clubs in Europe are given the option of not playing in the comedy cup and being replaced with teams from the Non league?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Oct 2015 20:14:57
The problem is the smaller clubs and the competition its self need the top involved, I think seedings would be a great idea for everyone involved.
Premier league champions would play the the team who won the conference play off final and so on meaning all the smaller clubs get a big club guaranteed and not a disappointing drww against a team from their own leave, then the next round do the same again and all the way through to the semifinals.
Big gates for smaller clubs with chances of a giant killing and for top clubs a chance to progress while resting top players if they wish.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 20:52:25
Not heard too much about it to be honest.
I think we already have a good formula, where teams enter the 3rd round stage.
Agree with G62, cup's have a wonderful tradition where the smaller clubs can be giant killers.
Indeed, the revenue raised for a smaller club hosting a big club can generate enough revenue to pay for their season.

It's up to the bigger clubs how they decide to treat the Cup competition.
Take it seriously or use it as 'game time' for younger players and those coming back from injury.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 22:29:19
As a cup there is nothing wrong with it. Its up to the manager to put out the team that he thinks can do the job without risks and if that meant playing the under 16s then so be it. A bit of thought needed that's all.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Oct 2015 00:11:49
The last two winners of the cup didn't do to bad in the league in the same year.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 17:04:41
So, Ox and Walcott out for the next 3 matces, which are hugely important. I can't believe Wenger is considering playing Campbell or Iwobi, both of whom were useless against Sheffield Weds. Perhaps it would be better to play Bellerin on a more advanced role, with Debuchy at right back.
The muscular inuries at the club continue, with Ramsey, Ox and Walcott all out. It comes as no surprise that Arteta and Rosicky are injured, they really should have been replaced last summer. As we enter a really important period the weaknesses in the squad are now clear. Without the injured players, I can't envisage us getting anything from Bayern and that leaves us having to win both the remaining matches and pray other results go our way. On Saturday, we will miss the pace provided by Walcott and Ox, as well as Ramsey's well timed runs. Then we have to play Tottenham, hopefully, we will not pick up any further injuries before we play them.
It's a shame we don't appear to have any quality young players coming through. The majority of those on loan are not playing particularly well.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

29 Oct 2015 17:21:02
Personally I'd like to see Joel Campbell play in a full strength Arsenal side before we write him off completely, Gabriel looked dodgy against Liverpool playing along side Chambers yet next to Kos looks excellent.
Its a much better gauge of players when you introduce just 1 or 2 at time into a settled team than when you make wholesale changes and everyone struggles to adjust to each other.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 17:26:00
Don't think you should change back 4, they have been superb this season.

If you have a flat tyre, you don't replace it with a steering wheel.

Replace a RW with a RW, but we have none left. Not ideal, but Campbell will have to do.

He's in the squad, gets paid a lot, let's see what he can do.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 18:33:33
Very true Dags and surrounded by quality Joel may well shine brightly but if he doesn't we do have other options as we stand.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 19:47:06
Careful RG I bravely mentioned we would get nothing from Bayern ( becuase of key players with pace missing ) and got slaughtered, but I agree without that pace its going to be very very hard.

As for the 2 x PL games I think we will get 6 points .

I agree with Dags put a wide player out wide. It is very important that AW leaves the back four alone, it is solid .

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 20:07:40
I agree Bambam.
Call me negative, but we won't get anything against Bayern.
Slaughter me if you like, but if we go out, it won't be because of Bayern result, it will be the 2 crushing defeats against Dynamo Zagreb and Olympiacos.

Also, if going out means we have a much better chance of winning the league, I will take it.

Not being negative, just realistic and practical.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 15:56:03
Ox and theo out for at least three weeks, that's three months then. Will be a massive miss. Another bad call, we will pay for, how much, time will tell. Not to confident of the replacements and we have tough games and the injuries are bound to grow. Same old faces again as well.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

29 Oct 2015 17:43:51
It will be a bad call Steve if we drop lots of points, but it's just a call until then . I can't believe he played any first team players . That cup is for the kids.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 18:51:24
Maybe it's the lack of quality amongst the kids that he felt he didn't want on display, a few years back the kids could get us as far as the QF even the SF on a regular basis before any first team players were introduced, but the current crop obviously aren't of the same calibre.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 19:56:42
With Welbeck, Wilshere and Ramsey already out, he should not have played Walcott and Ox.
That said, Ox did need game time, so it was logical to play him.
It was a gamble that didn't pay off.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 22:33:26
To be fair dags giroud walcott cech and mert should not have played in my view. If our back ups can't do us proud win or lose they are not good enough for this club. It wasn't wednesdays first first eleven.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 23:32:20
Fair point Steve,

Especially with Swansea, Bayern and Spuds over the horizon.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 10:11:33
A question gents,

As I've been thinking about our injuries to attacking players and the concerns about how much it will cost us in the next three games what do you all think about us defensively.

In that I mean with what looks to be a change possibly from Mertesacker to Gabriel as first choice next to Koscielny, I think we are actually stronger.

If I look at Cech, Bellerin, Gabriel, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin and Cazorla do any of you see a better group of those 7 players at any other club in the EPL and how many are better across Europe.

What does everybody think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Oct 2015 10:32:19
As a complete 7 from one team I think you would struggle to find one in the EPL. I don't think we will struggle anymore than we would have typically in next three games. Just stick Campbell on the wing one man down.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 10:43:54
I agree that back 4 with Cech behind them and Le Coq and Caz in front is as good as any of the premier league and I doubt there's too many better in Europe, as always its how much its weakened by an injury, if we lose if we lose Monreal Belerin or Caz it becomes a big worry but lose Kos or Le Coq everything becomes a bit desperate.
Our first choice's through out the team are good but as its the dramatic drop in quality with our cover that's a concern, Artetta Flamini are not even close DM cover and Keiren chambers and Debuchy are to big a drop from the first picks.
If everyone was always fit and available it would be easy but that's not us.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 10:44:50
That was pretty much my thoughts grow and hopefully after the international break Ramsey, Walcott and Chamberlain will all be back.

We are certainly not going to roll over and die against Swansea, Bayern and the spuds.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 10:47:12
GNABRY is coming home. watch this space.

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Oct 2015 12:06:06
Four PL points and one CL point over them three games is a result and very achievable. Would love to take the three points at shite hart lane.

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Oct 2015 12:41:18
I don't think gibbs is a huge drop in class from Moneral and as for debuchy while i agree he seems to be off the pace quite a bit he has not suddenly become a poor player. but Moneral and bellerin are 100% first choice.

we have 3 good CB and any combination of them is decent, Kos is key but we have been without him and not fallen apart, chambers seems to be going backwards with us which is strange.

I do agree however that without le coq we are very short and this for me would be the key area i am hoping that Wenger straightens in jan.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 12:53:56
Grow

We will not be taking 3 points at The Lane in November. No chance

We are at home :)

GROW

I'm expecting 6 points from the next two PL games.

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Oct 2015 13:07:02
Oops are we never mind ☺️.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 15:51:18
Wow not sure i agree with some of the things being said about the defence. 4 of the eight mensioned are not even full internationals and to say best in europe, come on.
You honesly think we are better than man city, bayern, madrid, juventus or psg. They are good but not that good, calm down. Lol.

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Oct 2015 17:10:05
We have a decent squad, but we should have let Arteta, Flamini, Cambell and Rosicky depart last summer and brought in a couple of defensive midfield players, a rapid wide player and a quality forward. I have a feeling we will pay the penalty in the run up to the new year. I hope I'm wrong.

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Oct 2015 00:02:40
These players have been below par for too long especially Flamini and arteta. Debuchys been injured twice which has really affected him Cambell has been really bad I don't thinks he's a proper winger maybe play him up front until Theo is back

Flamini
Arteta
Debuchy
Cambell.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Oct 2015 08:15:46
Add Chambers to that, though I think we have managed him all wrong, he needs proper game time.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 09:11:06
Artetta and Flamini are done and dusted, Debuchy has lost interest now he knows Belerin is first choice and Campbell well he's never really played as part of a full team but it's unlikely he will make the grade in the premier league, Chambers what is he exactly I keep hearing CB but he looks lost there and at RB he gets roasted and why people say he'd make a DM is beyond me.
But this time last year Le Coq was running out of contract and thinking of a life away from Arsenal so for both Calum and Joel there's still time to turn things around.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2015 12:56:13
So is Rosicky mate, he shouldn't even be here to be fair, though he has been good for us. There could well be 5 or 6 players on there way next Summer. I don't get the Chambers thing, I agree he can be saved BUT loan him out and get him some PL minutes.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Oct 2015 23:50:12

29 Oct 2015 09:13:59
have you watched pulis teams mate.

jordan ibe didn't get into the derby team on loan?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - to get into a Pulis team you have to be tall, strong and able to kick the opposition into submission. It helps if you are good at shirtpulling as well.}

29 Oct 2015 09:35:07
I guess that's about right . Pullis did say he didn't have what it takes to get into one of his sides. I will say though gnabry look huge at the moment.
