Eds, would it be possible for a list of all first team injuries, how long they were first reported to be out for, and how long they have actually been out for?

Interested to see the extent of our injuries this season, it's hindered our title challenge this season and our medical team always seems to b**ls it up.

Anyone think lukaku would be an awsome signing he is young strong has pace and can finish already better than giroud

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd deffinately take him but can see the horrible one making it easy for him to join us

Agree0 Disagree0

In a heartbeat, should have got him the first time around .

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather take a more clinical striker but he would be in my top 5.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lukaku and Ballotellu up front would be awesome. I would even take Lukaku and Remy but it probably won't happen. let's NOT lose to Everton this weekend and secure 4th first

barca not aloud to sign any players for 2 transfer windows! I wonder what manager could get them through that little crisis!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I just wish Fifa would be as disciplined when cleaning up its own act.
Hypocrisy in the extreme if you ask me, I'm all in favour of doing things right and punishing those who don't but its a bit rich for them to criticise any one

Agree0 Disagree0

I would imagine it will be over turned much like Chelski's was.

Banter please Eds (also unsure if this got submitted earlier because my phone didn't show the 'thanks for your post' thing it usually does)

In response to an earlier post about whether or not Liverpool would be playing as well as we have been without Suarez, I just have a few questions.
Would Man City be where they were without Yaya Toure? Would Chelsea be where they were without Hazard? Would Arsenal be where they were without the early-season contributions of Ramsey? Hell, would West Ham not be in more danger of relegation without Kevin Nolan?

I think we can agree that even Barca and RM, as we've seen proven when they were out, would not be the same without Messi and Ronaldo. Every team has to have a top performer and to belittle the role played and the importance of the rest of the team is extremely unfair and rather dishonest if you're going to limit it to Liverpool. Football nowadays requires you to hold on to your best players, something which we did well last season. Equally, we would not be where we are now without Sturridge, Gerrard or even Mignolet.

So my final question is, what's your point?

PS: this is not further sign of the 'capitulation' of friendly rivalry between Arsenal and Liverpool as I still have a huge amount of respect for posters like DG, Jenny and G62 and even the club Arsenal who plays football the right way on and off the field. However, I had to respond to the sophistry I keep seeing repeated not only here but in mainstream media as well.

Hi Fitz
Fair comment mate who's to say who would be where without who ever, utd without Ince and the two others who left that season lead to the YOU WIN NOTHING WITH KIDS comment that Hanson will never live down :-).

As for good humoured honest banter between fans from different clubs is a good thing, sometimes its good to get a different perspectives from some one one step removed.
Its got to be better than all the antagonistic our clubs better than your club playground stuff IMO.
Keep it either interesting and polite or if peeople want to mock each other make it seriously funny I say rather than your fullbacks slow lol yawn

Agree0 Disagree0

Evening Fitz, hope all is well mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

You said it yourself fitz
'ramseys early season contribution'

thats our problem, your STAR player is playing insanely well and has been fit for most of the season.

out STAR players have ALL been out for lengthy periods

Banter please Ed's

So the summer is coming and we are all waiting with baited breath for the transfer season to start.

With a WC happening deals will be late in the window and I don't see many deals across the whole of Europe due to the WC.

So let's just say we don't sign any first team players (it could happen *sighs*)

How would you like to see us line up with what we have if we have a fully fit squad, as I don't think we need a lot, unless our perennial injury jinx hits again.

Sczeszny

Mertesacker - Koscielny - Sagna - Gibbs

Flamini

Oxlade-Chamberlain - Ramsey

Gnabry - Ozil - Podolski

Walcott

That team has the thing we have been missing this year and that is pace, which forces teams to defend deeper, which in turn allows us to play the possession football we are renowned for. Has power in the middle with the Ox and an engine with Ramsey.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Playing 12 players every match we would have no excuse not running the league :)

Agree0 Disagree0

I make that 13 players :-) surely we don't need to bend the rules that much to win a major trophy people or do we? :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Somebody can't count, G62!

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right NE oooops, I make that mistake a lot confusing feet and inches, been a lot of disappointed women over the years I can tell you

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, G62

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha yeah I put an extra player in DOH!

Well if people bend the FFP i'm sure we could bend the number on the field!

Agree0 Disagree0

I was meant to leave Flamini out thought I deleted his name my bad take him out!

Hi Eds how about us all having an Ed of the season poll across all the pages including the city page where they could both have a say too!
Just for fun?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed033's Note - No point as Ed001 would have to win it

Ed033 that's a bit defeatist mate, that's like saying no premier league next season because Arsenal will walk it with their 5 new top class players!
Ed of the year award and who ever wins it you could put it on the mantle piece in the big Ed house where you all live and you could all share nicely

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think Ed033 was just being kind to Ed001, or are they sharing a computer in Dubai..... We all know I would romp home as the winner, just look how popular I am with all supporters?}

Good idea G62,

Shall we start a poll? lol

It is being reported that Kaboul is out of contract in the summer and wants to join Arsenal. Would you suggest we sign him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If verm leaves maybe. But he plays for spurs for a reason ;) not good enought for the proper team in North London.

Would rather go for deigo godin

Most spurs players secretly do Robbie :p

On Lakervilles post about BR stating Suarez is worth 100 mill. I think BR is probably right! If Bail is worth 85 mill to Real Madrid then I think someone will pay 100 mill for Suarez without a doubt. Only sticking point might be he is 27. We messed up big time when, if it is true, we could have nabbed him if we had been sensible. I think a bid of 50 mill would have nabbed him but again somebody at Arsenal thought they would be cocky and clever and do what they did. Anyhow that's history now . But I think who ever gets Suarez better have deep pockets as he will be looking for a team that can pay, not one in the Champions League next season or a winning team in arguably the best league in the world as he has already achieved that this season and may aswell stay where he is.
Again I will say let's really hope we have learnt a lesson by our arrogance of last summers transfer window and don't repeat it again. Somehow though I get the feeling we never learn.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

A statement of that magnitude only means player for sale.

I think Suarez is not as marketable as that price suggests.

Gareth Bale is nothing but a shadow in Madrid and Suarez will be another. Also his past means sponsors have a valid reason to take to the negotiating table.

The Fact the Ed said Aguero, Cavani, and then Suarez suggest that Madrid will make a move which is financially viable, as well as marketable. (aguero the clean boy image, much like messi) ( Cavani the Hard worker and potential new Galactico) and then you have Suarez (one wrong move and the papers will be all over him, basically he has used up his 3 lives)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - rubbish, you are talking from ignorance. Suarez is very marketable in Spain, they have not understood the fuss about his indiscretions over there. My parents live in a village in Andalusia and the Spanish there literally don't understand the issues. They just love how he plays and constantly talk about whether he is as good as Ronaldo and Messi or not. If he had moved to Madrid instead of Bale in the summer, the Bernabeu would have been packed, not just a couple of hundred asking who Bale was while protesting the sale of Ozil! I really don't think you understand the Spanish mentality at all if you feel he has used up any lives.}

So why is it that he is third choice to Aguero and Cavani for Madrid?

Is it the money? that Aguero and Cavani would come at a cheaper price?

Madrid always buy the best player and Suarez has been that player this season, so there should not be any doubts as to who should be the priority for them in terms of their striker search.

Average attendance this season has been just over 73,000 and Madrid has had attendance figures between 68,000- 74,000 over the last 5 years, depending on how the title race has fared for them, their figures rise or dip accordingly. I don't see how Suarez would add anymore in terms of attendance just looking at their figures over the last 5 years.

I have no doubt that they admire his talent in Spain, but I refuse to believe that the Bernabeu was unaware of the talents of Gareth Bale, he was being reported as a Real Target months prior to his transfer and all through the transfer window, the only negative spin, might have been the supporters disbelief in having to sell a big name player, as they are not known to be a selling club.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - just because you saw the reports, doesn't mean they saw them in Spain. They have little interest in foreign football there, so Bale was virtually unknown by the fans, no matter how well he was known elsewhere. I have no idea why Suarez would be 3rd choice, but I am not just going to make up reasons like you did out of pure ignorance.
They buy big players for merchandising purposes, yes, but that is nothing to do with attendances, nor is there any connection. I am struggling to see why you brought them into the conversation when you even see yourself that they are related to league performance. Bit pointless to even talk about those. I think you have completely lost the plot talking about them. If you were to talk about merchandise, then Suarez would sell plenty, just as he does at Liverpool, even though here he is not held in such high regard. If you were to check the figures, you would know he shifts more merchandise than any other Liverpool player right now.}

Ed 001 .did my post make sense though? Please don't be angry if it didn't . LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I wasn't angry mate, not sure anyone would pay 100m, it depends on the FFP thing really.}

Ed these Liverpool topics seem to be a bit touchy for you.

The reports were on Marca, I read the reports far back as October 2012, in regards to bale, so i'm unaware as to why you feel no one heard of him at that point. Prior to that year I can understand, but it was all known after the January transfer window, that bale would go there, not just in the summer window. you can troll through news articles from (madrid press, El pais, tele madrid, marca, el economista) whether it was pure speculation at that point is another thing, but its not like no one heard of him. ( I work for a Madrid based Company, and I used to have this talk with other employees much before bale joined)

In regards to Suarez being 3rd choice, it was a view from another Ed, and as far as my opinion goes, its rather speculation more than ignorance( perhaps misinformed, but still an opinion) you are free to call it as you wish.

In regards to Suarez selling the most merchandise at liverpool, he should be as he is the best player, its not really rocket science. Its a popularity contest also. But at the same time if you read reports from 2013 after the transfer window shut, and the articles regarding sponsors hesitance with Liverpool, if I remember correctly, even the managing director, made a statement saying that Suarez had damaged Liverpool's image, if that is not in terms of marketing, I have no idea what other damage he could talk of.

My inquisitiveness into the attendance, was purely in response to your claim, that had Madrid moved for suarez instead of bale the bernabeu would be packed, I have no idea why you said that, it has nothing to do with merchandising, and I made no such reference.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - You have not read and understood a word said, this is pointless, you clearly are unable to understand what I am saying, it seems you completely miss the point each time. No one disputed he was 3rd choice, I merely pointed out that your reasoning was based on complete ignorance which you are now compounding by showing you can't even understand that and keep talking about irrelevant things to try and make a point. Working for a Madrid based company hardly makes you an expert on Spanish football and clearly gives you no idea of the Spanish psyche. Have you never watched La Liga? Surely it is obvious that in Spain fair play is irrelevant? The sponsors were talking about damage done to their brand in the UK, as there is a false pretence that fair play still matters there.}

Your clearly not getting the point, and the irony is uncanny.

you seem to brush aside what I stated when I told you about working for a Spanish company, and my personal interactions with fellow football fans of that nation, however you stating your parents living in Andalusia make you a Spanish expert.

But the bottom line which you call ignorance goes back to my original post.

"Suarez is not as marketable as that price suggest". Madrid are not going to pay 100 million pounds and they are not going to make or recover any of that money for a 27-28 year old striker, who is not even in the top 50 most marketable athletes in the world and not even in the top 15 in Football.

maybe you can google me a link and show me otherwise.

Quite by chance to hot romance I?ve found the answer
Flamenco dances are far the finest bet
There was one who whispered?Ooh Asta La Vista?
Each time I kissed him behind the castanet
He rattled his maracas close to me
In no time I was trembling at the knees

But oh so tasty as soon as they go brown
I guess they know every fellow will be queuing
To do the wooing his girlfriend won?t allow
But still I think today?s a lucky day
Thats why I learnt the way to shout?Olay!?

Just got word that BR is going to bid for Ramsey next season. 40 million and 2. Clearly he means business with such a staggering bid.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So could this mean that the cracks are starting to show between this beautiful relationship/affair/love in/dating agency between the two clubs?
It'll all end in tears I promise you. Next time keep the relationship platonic; a lot less messy in the long run where you also might have chance of remaining friends afterwards.
