Arsene can do no right in the eye of the media - they love our empty seats, our Wenger our tantrums, players leaving, diving, sideways football, bidding low for players, lack of British players, underachieving etc etc

Now the Mail says:

"In many ways, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang passing up the chance of a hat-trick encapsulates this Arsenal side. Too generous. Lacking ruthlessness. Soft. Arsenal fans are sick of being charitable."

Talk about completely missing the point and trying to stir up crap.

Let's win the Europa and stick two fingers up to the press. Then let's gave Wenger step down with pride and move on.

Don't read the articles that paper and similar papers churn out SY mate.
They are full of misleading menacing misinformation designed to promote disharmony intolerance and disunity.
The football stories are utter rubbish but is still them at their absolute best and least malicious mate.

It was a very charitable gesture. Yes some people probably and with reason, say, that's arsenal in a nutshell. The truth is, its a ruthless business and ruthless people win. It can be looked at both ways.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Apr 2018 15:32:28
While I think it was a charitable move from Aubameyang, I don’t see that as a negative. Confidence is important for strikers, and if they can manage to form some semblance of a partnership it will a significant positive for us. If you want to talk about a lack of ruthlessness in that game talk about the starting lineup.

Besides, Lacazette is one of the better penalty takers in the game right now, considering his conversion rate and the high number of penalties he has taken. He’s certainly better than Aubameyang at it, who didn’t look entirely confident when he stepped up to the spot yesterday.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Apr 2018 17:08:34
To be perfectly fair aubameyang has probably been there a few months and can see who can actually play football at that level. Laca in my opinion is far better than iwobi. So if you can get all those four miki auba laca and ozil playing in a fluid 4 ( much like Liverpool’s three) and enjoying playing together then we have a seriously potent 4. Then we need to sort out the dross behind. I believe under the right coach mustafi, holding, kolasinac and possibly bellerin could be saved and improved. keep jack and Ramsey and see out of xhaka and elneny who’s happy to be a strong squad player and shift the other on. We need to sort out two good midfielders our a DFM and box to box player. If we got a good coach in I think pogba would be amazing. Can’t see it going well at united for him. A new keeper (this has to be a priority)

It’s not a million miles away boys I know it seems that way but look at Liverpool and spurs they are giving it a good go with decent infrastructure on a smaller budget than we have got. The wallowing needs to stop, Wenger needs to go and we need to get behind the chance that it can only get better.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Apr 2018 17:35:07
Sanogo - we probably aren’t far off except that Cech, Kos, Nacho, Per and Santi need replacing. Jack is one tackle shy of an injury and the squad outside of the 11 needs boosting in quality

The problem is we are always 3 signings short and haven’t addressed it while others add to strengthen - we add out of necessity hence always 2 or 3 short. That’s why we have always finished top 4 but now others have strengthened to leave us behind.

Based on comments on a Mustafi - I think we should sell him and replace with an experienced leader in the mound of Adams or Keown. This would help the back 4 especially Holding.

I would probably sell Bellerin - controversial but he’s not the best defender or crosser of the ball.

I agree that we need a new spine in Midfield, defence and goalie. If funds are limited then stick with Cech for now as he will be better once defence improves. If we improve then concentration becomes a necessity for the keeper and Cech excels there.

So - a Adams / Terry type Centrehalf, a Gilberto type holding midfielder and a Santi replacement. We’ve really missed him.

Hi SY4 I agree on your comments. I was voicing them in the hypothetical way considering a new coach came in who wanted to shake it up. Carefully thought through it’s achievable in two seasons provided were proactive.

Arsene has to go first for the wallowing to stop Sanago mate.
Once Arsene calls it a day optimism will instantly return and people will automatically become excited again about what Arsenal football club are capable of.
Arsene has simply gone on to long doing and saying the same old things to have any credibility left and apathy is there to stay now for as long as he continues.
The question is can the club risk another season and let the connection between disillusioned fans and the club become ever more distant?

Agree1 Disagree1

02 Apr 2018 18:48:06
The club is incredibly stale and that has been caused by keeping the same manager making the same mistakes and saying the same excuses. The apathy around the club is sad to see and it can be cured in an instant. It isn't going to get better, even if the EL is won until the man at the top is removed. All sorts of things can be done, spend more money, being done pay more wages, being done, change backroom, being done, players, being done, they are not the root cause. Its all stale from the man driving the train, not the passengers.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Apr 2018 19:10:24
The feel good factor is easily within the clubs grasp if they chose to take it
How long that opportunity to instantly win the majority of fans back will last who knows but it's still there roght now that's for sure.

The tyrant no longer at the club is the only solution.

Agree0 Disagree0

I did say Wenger needs to go and wallowing will stop. I don’t want him a second longer but that’s the only opinion about him that matters. The rest is nonsense.

02 Apr 2018 20:05:43
Carry on as we are fully of negative acceptance of more of the same or give the club the team the fans a new lease of life with a new manager.
There is no longer any other possible away to lift the negativity that the club is overwhelmed by now.
Allowing Arsene to spend 200 million plus this summer will do nothing to regain the support of those who are lost, it would merely please the 50% he can count on no matter what.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Apr 2018 20:48:39
Gunner, we have a way to go yet but to win the EL would be fantastic for the finances and standing for the club. I hope it doesn't paper over the ever increasing cracks and wenger decides he is a hero again with the fans. With a decent premier league challenge without all the deficiencies the cups would have been fantastic but the league is becoming an embarrassment. The league position and performance needs to be this clubs ultimate yardstick and for years it hasn't been good enough. As you pointed out our points tally for years has been way below par and this year will hit an all time low. That has to be addressed.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Apr 2018 21:06:22
The europa league was always going to be good for us Steve mate, we can win this competition rather than simply make up the numbers in the champions league yet again.
We have ridiculed the europa league in the past but sometimes you need to accept the reality of where and who you are at this moment in time, accept a bit of stick and fight your way back by doing things differently in the future
For us right now Europa league competing is much much more valuable than a continuation of making up the champions league numbers.
Einstien once said " you can not solve a problem with the same thinking that caused the problem is the first place ". I'm happy to accept what Albert says on this one :-)

Think Einstein must have been talking about Number of tickets sold Vs actual attendance in terms of support for our club when he said

I agree with SY4 Bellerin needs to be replaced. Can’t defend well and is a terrible crosser. We also need a goalie. Allison would be amazing. Some of the saves he makes are ridiculous which is why i think Brazil will win the world cup. We also need a centre back. A defensive midfielder, a box to box midfielder and two wingers. That is the only way we can challenge with a defensive midfielder and a central defender being priority and possibly a winger. That will get us into top four but to challenge for the title we need 6-7 players which is impossible.

Belerin will do an Ox if he leaves, the lads a good player just in a poor team. Our midfield and defence are extremely poor and in my opinion we have players much more worthy of being shipped out before Hector.
Ox is doing well at Liverpool ok he's no Salah but he already looks a much better than we saw from him and Belerin will do even better if he moves.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2018 10:35:23
Gunner62 Ox said in an interview that at liverpool their pressing has triggers and is organized. I don't know if you have seen but our pressing is disjointed and lacks organization, that is why sanchez was frustrated when he was with us. He would press alone and the opposition would play through us. If we got Tuchel, at least he would fix that. You would have seen an organized press but he is off to PSG apparently.

We are so stale that i don't think any good coach would consider joining us. Everything at the club is a mess. I think we should hire a young coach who is hungry for success someone like Nagelsmann i don't care that he is young but he has the competence tactically.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2018 10:48:36
And so what if he does an ox! He’s no good at his current level to us and where ever the blame lies g62 he needs to improve and he only can do that if he learns how to defend. As I stated above a new coach could possibly get a better return from him. For me he is definatly a player we should think about moving on we will get a good price for him if he goes back to Barcelona I would prefer Vidal from them to go in at RB. I’m not interested what players do once they go elsewhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2018 12:06:05
Fair comment Sanogo but I personally think it's a mistake to let good young players go because our manager can't get the best out of them and retain Elneny because he's a good squad player like Danny and persist with Xhaka and Mustafi because they cost a fortune despite looking lost at Arsenal and in the premier league.
Hector is no Gibbs or Theo he has done it consistently over a couple of seasons and is only struggling now because we are so poor in general and it's difficult to name a Arsenal player who hasn't struggled this season.
There are players who have always struggled to consistently perform in an Arsenal shirt and those who are currently struggling and I know where I'd be looking to upgrade first and foremost.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2018 13:08:12
I just think with bellerin the arsenal we don’t want is hard wired into him. He can’t defend and can’t pass. Yes he bombs forward and can stretch the defenders but he has no positional awareness. Put it this way if we were offered 50 million would you take it! I would now I have no idea of his value but would imagine it’s probably more than he is worth.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2018 13:23:01
I seem to recall reading that Bellerin started off as a right winger? That would partially excuse his poor defending, but what about his absolutely pathetic crossing, and more importantly, his ponchant of stopping any attacking move by passing sideways or backwards? I know Monreal is not every body's cup of tea, but he shows more attacking nouse in one move than Bellerin shows in a whole game.

Bellerin and Stones are rated very highly by some. I would not want those two together in a defence of mine. How scary.

There’s certain members of the squad that have been wengered for many years. I say cash in and get some defenders who have come from teams or coaches that can defend.

Hi Punani mate, ultimately it all comes down to a change in management before anything has a chance of being different.
In truth I'm not sure who would or wouldn't be interested in the job or who would be the best option from all the potential candidates but every journey begins with the first step.
The next manager might not be the one who gets us back but he will be the first step towards getting there no matter what.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2018 18:51:00
G62 regardless of if he goes in the summer or a year after, the club are planning ahead from now. He may have the say on when he goes but the club could no longer listen to his absolute request and purchase players and bring in staff he may not opt for. I believe at the moment he is been gently manoeuvred it may turn into a push.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2018 20:11:03
Sanogo as long as as Arsene is picking the team tac tics and motivating we will not see any change on the field, maybe the club is willing to wait another season but I'm not sure everyone has thaf much patients left for yet more of the same next season.

03 Apr 2018 20:33:29
The match day revenue must be taking a massive hit, merchandise, alcohol, food etc. The club will have to do something and when they do, that will all go through the roof again. If they can't see it then we are in serious trouble. A different manager/ coach doesn't guarantee instant results but it guarantees instant euphoria. A good choice of coach would/ could send this sleeping giant soaring in the long run. Plus there will be pressure on the new coach, a lot more than at present.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2018 20:48:48
Gunner62,From the look of it i don't think most coaches will be interested in us. Talk of fall from grace. When i was a kid it was us against united for the title. We used to wipe the floor with the spuds and chelsea, now we are rubbing shoulders with the likes of burnley.

We just don't need a new coach, we need a revolutionary coach someone like guardiola but guardiola is out of our league now, even if he was out of contract, i don't think he would pick Arsenal. Since we have fallen far off, i think we need to think outside the box. Get a coach who everyone is not raving about, someone like nagelsmann or a tedesco. A young coach who will outthink opponents tactically.

Punani mate we are still a big name in football even if our reputation has declined massively year on year for a decade we are still a giant of the game all be us a totally lethargic one that is fast sending everyone connected to the club to sleep.
Newcastle are a huge club with a massive passionate fan base that has been staved of silverware for half a century, for the right man out there they are a fabulous challenge and who ever gets it right on Tyneside will be a proper legend.
The same for Arsenal too mate, there is a manager out there somewhere who is capable of and sees turning us around and getting us back into strong passionate competive club that fights for titles into the merry month of may as a fantastic opportunity and privilege.
All we have to do is start the process of finding him.
It's a big job for anyone but it's doable for the right man with the to right ideas and heart to match.

gunner62,i think we need to look towards germany for the next coach. The germans seem to be producing quality coaches with interesting profiles. Years ago it used to be italians but in the last few seasons Serie A to me doesn't produce quality coaches. infact the only italian coaches i find tactically interesting are the old guys like gasperini and sarri.

The germans on the other hand are producing new breed of coaches heavily influenced by the likes of guardiola. Possesion based positional play and that is the way forward in my opinion. Any coach who advocates for that kind of football will revolutionze us as we are closer to that style in the players we already have than say the simeone style.

Punani mate i don't care where our next manager comes from Germany Spain Italy France the Isle of Wight the scilly Isles or Bognor Regis.
If he makes us hard to beat sends out a team we all know will be giving their all in every game for 90 minutes then I will be happy, if he can also get us to 80+ points for the first time in a decade he can count on me as a huge fan.
I'm not particularly interested where he's from or where he's been, I'm more interested in where he's going.
23 years ago it was Arsene who?
Jose was a translator and Pep a young player in Spanish football and very few people had heard of any of them.

Fourth win on the trot should lift the team's confidence for Thursday's vital match. Good to see Aubameyang and Lacazette scoring.
Over 59,000 seats sold, but clearly far fewer actually attending, which is simply wrong. As a fan I always turn up and support the team, never mind wasting the cost of a ticket when a fan fails to attend.

@G62 - I totally disagree, whether it be Adele or Arsenal, if you have purchased a ticket then you are obliged to go. As an Arsenal fan I have never and would never fail to turn up to a match that I have purchased tickets for. I have purchased season tickets in the past when we had a poor team that once finished 17th in the old first division and I recall losing 1-4 at home to Ipswich with an attendance of 23,000.
You once wrote that you didn't attend matches and I have no idea whether you even subscribe to watch live football on TV, so it is quite absurd to even comment on fans with tickets not turning up, when you don't even attend matches. I am Arsenal to the core and will always support the team, come what may. I was there yesterday was appalled at the empty seats around me, the fans that failed to attend without good reason, should be ashamed of themselves.

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Apr 2018 11:44:33
RG you find it absurd that I comment even though I don't attend matches?

In that case why do you comment on premier league players although you yourself have never played premier league football?
Why do you a view and suggest potential players and managers although you personally have never met them or played or managed at premier league level?
How much time you spent in the company of Wayne Rooney personally one on one? Yet you feel qualified to judge him?

For me personally i would love to take my grandson to watch Arsenal play and I very much hope to when we have a new manager too but I refuse to take him currently because of never knowing if the team will be bothering that day or not and while I would have no problem explaining defeat to him I wouldn't want to explain all the way home why our players have no passion commitment or ambition.
Because of the frequency of our players/ team simply not turning up or showing any passion what so ever so often i took the decsion exactly 2 years ago this month to cancelled my sports channels as my own personal way of saying enough is enough and it has to rank as one of my better decisions that's for sure :-)
With MOTD I know already if they bothered or not If I should waste my time watching or simply give it a miss that night.
Do I miss live games and the excitement? Yes I do sometimes but to take a chance with our current setup is just far too risky to even think about reinstalling my sports channels let alone actually attending a game.

No business can rely purely on loyalty forever, at some point it has to listen to its customers and start offering them what they want apposed to simply expecting then to buy whatever the business decides to put on sale.
Supply and demand, right now people are losing interest in what Arsenal have on sale.
