We need to treat the matches this month like cup finals

If we run the gauntlet this month, we could potentially be up 3 matches on our nearest rivals

In other words, countdown to title begins. How United did it last season, how Munich and Dortmund have done it in recent years, how Lyon had their dynasty

Get up early and then it's a perpetual chase they'll never win

So we need Santi back on form, Theo firing on all cylinders, Poldi back and hungry and Giroud to start scoring goals

This month is a golden opportunity.

Hull, Everton, Napoli, City, Chelsea. that's a gauntlet we can run

With the way our midfield is playing, we are ready

I'd rest Ozil on Wed, to get him ready for this run of 4 matches

Gnabry
Rosicky Santi Theo
Jack Flam
Nacho Kos Mert Baks
Shezza

Rambo, Giroud and Ozil are super subs, Gibbs, Jenks and Arteta if we are up, which we ought to be

Time to unleash Gnabry, I think he's ready

What a month of football ahead!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cannot underestimate the competition. not having ozil in the lineup is a major morale boost for hull.

we need to play our best 11 and when we don't have the best we use the subs.

pick up points we must win.

we can lose any of the big games, rather win all the other games and atleast take draws from big games.

look at utd over the years. they did not sweep the big teams. they just annihilated the smaller ones to keep a consistency.

beat the ones you are to beat and do your best against the best.

i still think we are behind city and chelsea in talent and depth. but we take it a game at a time, we can do this.

Hello mate
Yeah it's been a while, get busy when the summer ends.was on 1 of the Spanish islands for 2 months trying to set something up and running but it didn't work out.
I had a ticket for Dortmund away but my wife's grandad died and the funeral was the same day.

I said b4 the season started on the mancs page we would do it and they laughed.

The difference this year is we sold no players, anything we have bought in an improvement.
For me the difference is flaming, he has got the team talking, have not seen the back4 communicating so much since 2004.

Don't you just love the spuds, they never fail to cheer me up

Anyway my friend festive cheer to you and your family

Usg forgot to add
Terrible news about patsy, was lucky enough to meet him when he did the yearly presentation at a pub I was running a few years back, he's a true gent.
He use to run everyday from his home to highbury and he lived in Potters bar.

Got a whisper el-shaaway in jan could be a go.

Sorry about wife's grandad, what a match that would have been

Great to hear about Pat. Have heard numerous stories w similar theme, he's a true gentleman

El Sharaawy has been on Wenger's radar for awhile, wouldn't surprise me

Lots of rumors will pick up pace this month

Sorry for your loss Malaga

Love the quote by Arsene over the weekend.
"I paid £5m for him but I wouldn't sell him for £50m. Credit to Aaron, what a transformation.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Looks like 10 million and we can have pato, will wenger do it? how has he been playing? last I saw him, he needed a visa to get off the treatment table, as he had overstayed his time there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Laker, I think he is a bit hit and miss tbh. He does score goals but, as you said, he is always having a love affair with the treatment table.
For £10m I guess he could be worth the risk.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am so happy for Aaron that he's transformed himself into one of the first names on the team sheet. Now I was never one to slag off Rambo on account of his leg break situation (having broken my leg twice myself). However, I am honest enough to say I slagged off Szczesny, Mertesacker and Sagna when they weren't playing well. I am happy to eat my words as they are all playing fantastically well.

Just makes you think though. Rather than slag our team off, we should always give them support and get behind them. Future Champions!

Agree0 Disagree0

Pato has struggled in Brazil, not so much because of injuries, but because he seems more interested in dating really gorgeous women (can't fault him too much for that).

The Corinthians support in Brazil is regularly booing him during games, and upset at his attitude in general. They are the worst attack of the Brazilian league this year, scoring even less goals than the worst team in the league, which was relegated with 8 matches to go. He is their most expensive signing ever, so he is getting the brunt of it.

Morning Eds. I don't want to get into another Higuain saga of last season. Simple questions I hope! Do you think we will buy any players in January and where do you think they will play. Secondly do you subscribe to the theory that any decent player stays put where he is until the Summer transfer window and why? Thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - January is mid-season and clubs rarely plan to buy and sell at such times. However, Arsenal has shown interest in a number of players and will likely try and bring one or two in during January. There is very real interest from Arsenal in adding a striker and perhaps a wide player.}

I am glad the majority of people think we will collapse this season.

The facts are we are top of the pl and cl tables.

Other peoples negative thoughts about our great club will give us the desire to achieve greatness.

Coymfgooners

Believable0 Unbelievable0

To be fair, neither are many gooners getting overly ahead of ourselves.

we have hull next in two days.

we beat them, then we have everton, city away( big game) and chelsea @ home.

if we can make it to 39 points by mid dec, we have a good chance of being title contenders.

i don't mind if we draw against city and chelsea or beat one of them if we lose one. but as long as we beat the likes of hull in the next game, we can do ok.

for me utd are too far behind. if we lose that 9 point gap, all it means is we will be fighting for 4th, because chelsea and city are not going to drop those many points between now and the end of the season, for them to be in the same place as utd are now.

Some crazy reports of three clubs having officially enquired PSG about Edison Cavani. and these clubs are Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Arsenal. Do you know anything of this eds/anyone? Haha even if this is true it would be quite the transfer fee! Love the guy though! Haha cheers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wengers always liked him and was linked with him after an interview in the summer before he signed for PSG. However, it is unlikely we would sign him in my humble opinion.

Who was the man at the back.
Who'd give you no slack.
Take some advice
Don't mess with Pat Rice

Attackers would fear him
Wingers would steer clear of him.
The ball was his
He'd do the business

He hung up his boots
But stayed by our side
Not for the money
Or an easy ride

44 years an Arsenal man
We loved him and cheered him
From all round the ground

Another battle
Has now come his way
We know he's a fighter
And the lights on the way

Pat we are here for you
In this battle your in
Like us you are Arsenal
Through thick and through thin.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Goldboy, love it mate.

Thanks Dagenham. Never ever heard any negativity about Pat Rice. A few cards here and there Ha! Ha but I'm talking about scandal etc a bit of a feat really all those years in top flight football, player, coach etc and never a bad word that I can remember ever printed about him. Takes some doing.Hes a proper pro and ambassador for football in general.
