Oops looks like that lump of wet clay has just scored again. Dags has made fool of himself by his comments about Kane and he is coming for you this Sunday lol. I feel like Mr. Kipling I'm having an exceedingly good day.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

02 Nov 2015 22:36:18
I must admit, Kane does scare me Raver.
So do black cats, and clown masks and the bogeyman and loch ness monster and spiders and mice and the candyman and the swamp monster and pigeons and the dark and open spaces and public speaking.
But, deep down inside, they can't do you any harm, so I don't pay much attention to them mate.

02 Nov 2015 23:15:54
Man utd want him as there next forward. Itl happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 23:51:14
How come whenever Harry Kane scores, Spurs fans sing he's one of our own? This is kind of embarrassing as he's actually a gooner, lads.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2015 00:33:26
Dave, I think Spurs should hope he has a bad season, or he's off, like Derby says, probably to Man Utd.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2015 00:37:11
Couldn't agree more utd need him badly enough to pay stupid money for him too.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2015 00:59:58
Only a spurs fan could get cocky about beating villa.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Nov 2015 07:33:13
Wow raver,

a last minute goal against a team pushing upfield to get a equaliser who are bottom of the league,

Let's see how he does against the leagues best defence, you really make yourself look like a right plonker sometimes.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2015 08:52:16
oh Raver

he has scored in 3 games out of 11 this season hardly frightful form.

one season wonder, plus with the amount of luck he had last season with 80% of his goals coming of his shins, miss hits or just bouncing off him his luck was always going to run out.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - that's a bit harsh breal..

03 Nov 2015 10:07:32
But funny though Ed :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2015 12:22:19
Kane in a better team would clear up. Id happily have him here. Incase bony gets a knock. I mean giroud lol

Bale and Kane will be together at manu before you know it.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2015 12:51:21
Ed025 you are prob right its a bit harsh, in fairness he is a young English striker so i hope he does come good again, just a lot of Tottenham fans in my office gloating about him last season, so any chance i get i have a little dig.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2015 14:17:21
It's cute that a Monday night victory over Aston Villa is enough to give Sp*rs fans an 'exceedingly good day'.

One of our own.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it's fair enough to have a dig breal, you see I see them as that kid in school who never had the latest clothes, and rather than berating them we should really feel sorry for them, it's not their fault they support Spurs but a product of their environment and misguided upbringing mate.. :)

02 Nov 2015 20:53:49
Watching the mighty spurs dags and browgun it's so easy for us just waiting for that lump of wet clay called Kane to score lol.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Nov 2015 21:25:21
Altogether forgot there was a mid table prem game tonight. Watching repeats of coronation street, because that's the only thing on tonight worth watching.

Agree1 Disagree1

02 Nov 2015 21:32:14
Raver,
You having a giggle mate?
You are beating Villa, who have no manager, who have played 10 games, won 1 and lost 8, they have scored 9 goals all season and conceded 17.

When you beat a team like Bayern, who before they played us, won 11 on the bounce, than come and pay us a visit.

You crack me up Raver lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they are hanging on now dags..

02 Nov 2015 21:36:29
You always make me laugh rav, oh no it's spurs that do that sorry :-)

02 Nov 2015 21:54:03

02 Nov 2015 22:24:04
Nah dags I prefer Wednesday Sheffield Wednesday lol.

02 Nov 2015 22:01:20
They just scraped it Ed.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - great strike by Kane dags, but up till then they were struggling 2 pretty poor sides if you ask me.. :)

03 Nov 2015 10:08:14
Agree Ed.

02 Nov 2015 18:30:37
The Costa thing is all swings and roundabouts guys . has anyone on here mentioned how blind the ref was in our favour at the weekend. Mert was definate handball, we got away with it, it all evens itself out over a season.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

02 Nov 2015 18:56:16
Totally agree mate Ramsey goal against Liverpool should have stood but didn't and Saturday things went in our favour to even the score, over a 38 game marathon everyone ends up where they end up on ability not on refs decisions, as much as its convenient for certain managers and fans to think otherwise week after week.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 21:35:13
Totally agree Bambam.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 23:19:17
The Costa kick was shocking. If the ref sees it and no red he needs a ban. It's simple. It's different to ref mistakes decisions on non violent conduct injuries.

I'm looking forward to Wednesday.
We have most of our first team in place.
The keeper and the back four are first choice, with all four back up defenders fit. In the deep midfield roles, our first choices Coquelin and Cazorla are fit. Ozil and Sanchez, as well as Giroud are first choices, so it's really only Campbell that is a repalcement and after Saturday's peformance, hopefully he will be a lot more confident.
The problem is that the attacking midfield and attacking players have virtually no quality replacements on the bench.
I would be happy with a point.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

02 Nov 2015 18:06:30
Knit picking, but Giroud wouldn't be first choice, cambell has it to prove and because we didn't buy a single outfield player may pay for it. The stress on the squad over the next few weeks is going to be huge. I can't think of a player on the bench that i would relish coming in.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 19:19:22
The HUGE blessing Steve is we have an International break.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 20:05:09
If we're talking Saturdays side Steve I'd welcome Gabriel moving from the bench to starting 11 but thars it.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 20:06:13
Giroud may not be first choice Steve, but he is scoring goals.

Stop "knit" picking :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 20:33:19
Sorry dags, I do like a bit of nit picking. But I don't think giroud on weds will be pulling the bayern defence about like theo would, he's a bit to static at that level. Not knocking him but he probably wouldn't have been first choice against bayern, sorry for nitting again.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 20:35:15
Banbury that would be great if after then we do have theo ox and rambo back then. But I know our injury recovery record.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 21:01:00
From what Wenger has said there is a chance Ramsey and Chamberlain will be back after the International break, Physio room has them back on 21st November.

He said Walcott will be December and Physio room has him back on 29th November.

Wilshere is now showing as back on 13th December with Welbeck and Rosicky as Jan 2016.

02 Nov 2015 21:12:51
Thanks for the info red dog, let hope it is at least close to being right.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 21:16:52
Gunner mert did well against levo last time. He won't need to worry about players running past him into space so mert or gabs will be ok.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 21:36:50
I agree Steve and like you I don't really believe the " 3 weeks out" bit, they tend to be 5 to 8 weeks.

Was trying a positive spin on it lol

I also agree Giroud won't be pulling the Munich defence about, best chance set pieces really. We will have to park the bus somewhat me thinks.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 21:38:25
I do agree with you Steve, but what with injuries being part and parcel of the game, its nice that we have 2 different types of forwards, both of whom score goals and gives us an option of playing different styles of football.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 22:04:54
I agree dags but different styles in the same game is the strength.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 23:20:43
The big question is guys. Is robben back. Game changer that boy. Hopefully he isn't.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2015 00:59:24
Robben can have the worst game of his life on wednesday, but you know if they're not winning he'll take a dive and earn them a penalty. One mans game changer is another mans calculated cheater.

My concern with our team is that if we sit back like the last game, we have no theo and will be far slower and less dangerous on the counter with giroud, which only makes it easier for bayern to attack. Think we'll need at least a point to make it out of the group.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2015 09:02:06
I am not advocating playing for a draw, but when this draw was made we all would have settled for a point, and a point would still be a great point in thier back yard, even more so after beating them and stopping the run that they were on.

a point and winning our last 2 will give us 10 points which should be enough to see us through and after the start we had the lads will have done well, yes it was expected but still i think will benefit them later in the season when/if we have another sticky patch but also for those must win games when player have to perform under huge pressure, we have had a taste of that already.

my hope is that bayern players are angry about losing to us and try just that bit to hard to forces it and we can nick a set peace goal. our defences has been immense lately so we do have more than a hope of getting something.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 14:17:36
wasnt too sure in joel campbell but he was fantastic. well done. great attitude.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

02 Nov 2015 12:07:51
So the FA are not charging Costa, as the referee saw and dealt with the incident. Presumably they are charging Clattenburg with incompetence?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

02 Nov 2015 14:16:57
its a joke. i thought they had changed there ways after they charged him against us. tbh though keep him on the field he's doing nothing.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 14:27:04
To be fair, if referee dealt with it on the pitch, end of.

Agree0 Disagree2

02 Nov 2015 15:52:52
dealt with it? he wasnt sent off.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 17:01:21
They probably aren't going to punish it because Skrtel didn't react that much. I thought it was class, he simply stayed calm, helped Costa up off the floor and carried on with his game of football.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 20:08:05
Didn't see it Derby, but just going by RG69's post that it was 'dealt' with :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 07:58:10
We are not going to have a better chance at winning the title than this year. we need to sign a world class forward and a few others just to strengthen the squad because our squad isn't that strong. the bench at the weekend was very weak apart from 2/3 players.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Nov 2015 12:43:22
It was a weak bench, but even with all our injuries we were still able to put out a pretty decent side. Only Joel Campbell was the non first team er. Now he has an opportunity to prove himself and earn his slot for when the others are back.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 13:02:19
Everyone said we wouldn't challenge without signings, beyond Cech, that we would be worse than last year etc - and here we are, go figure ;-) )

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 15:01:26
Red i presume you include west ham Manchester United and Leicester as challengers too.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 18:33:27
Red . we are challenging for nothing at the minute, we are sat second in the league. don't foerget the other year we were champions of Autumn. I am very happy and surprised at the moment. I don't mind admitting but we won't know if we are challenging until May . eh.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 20:53:02
We are a bit of Man City good fortune on the weekend away from being top of the table, we hold a historic victory over BM this season, we have one of the best defenses that we have had in years and all the while playing through some injuries of world class players in Walcott and Ramsey (sorry Ox you are not there yet) and you want to talk about how poor we are - well I am not having it, at least not today - is anybody with me?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 21:10:16
No I don't think we are with you who mentioned poor.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Nov 2015 06:19:22
Fair enough Steve, but I am hearing the doubters and I would just remind you and Crybaby - that since the christmas break last year we are the inform premiership team, won Cup and beat Bayern - and the best thing for me is that we have done it without having to get much reinforcements.

Although Cech has been huge and my heart was a bit dinged up when we didn't get Spyder.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 05:48:42
Ok so my opinion is very biased and i won't try to say am not, so my opinion may be clowded
So I've been watching Man City for a while now, am mystified by how pundits and fans alike think they are so much better than the rest, i just don't see it. I Know they are missing Silva and Kun but they just don't impress me as much as they should.
I Would Argue that Aguero is the only difference between Us and Them
what do You All Think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Nov 2015 06:59:58
I had this conversation last night, and i agree with you.
My question to my mates was who would you drop to out Silva in at the moment, no body could give an definitive answer, though when asked the same question about Aguero everyone just started dribbling!
In short he is the only player Man City have that would walk in to our team at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 08:00:28
Aguero v Sanchez is a push.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 08:03:32
Totally agree,
The plus point for us, whilst we always have our fair share of injuries, Aguero and Silva are regular injury casualties.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 09:33:54
difference being their depth, and reliance on certain players for the duration of the season compared to ours.

Ox, theo, ramsey, wilshere, welbeck, rosicky, are injured for most of their arsenal careers.

sanchez, ozil, giroud, cazorla, coq, kos, cech, mert, monreal, are the only players who are a bit more robust.

man city have better quality depth, they have 4 experienced CB's, experienced full backs, experienced, midfield and forward line. 2 for each position, with pace, power and clinical finishing when need be.

the arsenal team have played resilient football, and while we can compete with the best, we are not miles better than man city.

the manager is our trump card, and while he has his stubborn ways, looking at what mourinho is going through, shows wengers quality as a human being and as a competitor. Its not easy to take defeat as a fan let alone a person who is employed with the responsibility to succeed. I can't predict what will happen, but we are with the leaders and we can only play what's in front of us, beat them and we can build. it will come down to the last 10 games and i am hoping our second half form can do us favours.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 08:29:53
Well the only thing and the only thing that i fear is our squad players aren't as good as city's, they have some grinded out wins without those 2 players u mentioned, saying that so have we. I just want us to be in the fight till December, which is when we have actual quality players back from the bench in wilshire, wellbeck and rosicky. these players are game changers.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 14:11:16
Call me Positive, you have just made yourself an enemy of Derby! How dare you find flaws in his favourite team! Your audacity is commendable! I agree that Man City are not as special as so called experts in the media say, however I think they will be champions because they have a stronger squad than ours . If we strengthen in January, then who knows, anything is possible but let's take it game
by game .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - city may look weak 14, but losing their best 2 players in aguero and silva would affect any team, imagine Arsenal without Sanchez and ozil? They still sit top of the league and when those 2 return they will be very hart to live with mate..

02 Nov 2015 14:45:22
Ed025, I did say I think they will be champions. They have the best squad and yes they are missing two great players, but, I don't think they are as fantastic as the media makes them out to be.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they are not unbeatable 14 but as you say have a very strong squad..

02 Nov 2015 15:55:02
number 14 lol there not special but as soon as they get pep they will be a major force in world football/ let's go for it this season. in jan sign at least one class player and push on.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Nov 2015 15:38:10
I agree with you on the squad ed025, just wish we had a squad as strong as theirs as I feel it's our weakness .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - I feel that there is nothing between the 2 teams when you can play your best sides 14, but if Arsenal get injuries or suspensions to key players that's where city have the edge mate..

02 Nov 2015 17:03:56
1 to 11 maybe 12 13 we can knit pick, squad wise they are more experienced than purs and hve solid replacements waiting in the wings. Manager wise, very similar but they as a club are generally more reliable when the heat is turned up at the end of the season. Personally i would have kompany toure aguero silva and sterling at arsenal, top players who know how to win. We can challenge but need to have no more injuries and buy in jan.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sterling is a spoilt little brat Steve, but the others would be good..
