1-1 or a 2-1 defeat I'm afraid on Sunday i think. we aren't great at home to Man United

Let's be honest mate neither the draw or defeat would do much to excite most, I know some would point to Kos being out as the reason for it but excuses/reasons are wearing thin now.
Let's hope we're both wrong and get loads of stick Sunday night for being moaning gits but I think a 1-2 defeat is likely.

0-2 to the Ars, time for Ramsey to get it going - at least one goal from him and another from Walcott.

Gunner a draw would pacify most , but that would only be fine if it it's backed up by a draw or win at old trafford.

03 Oct 2015 11:26:40
Your have to tàke the draw right now Steve but its a disappointing situation against this utd side that a draw would be seen as a point gained as opposed to 2 dropped.
Don't get me wrong LVG has made them difficult to beat which is 100% the right way to build a side but their a pretty awful but affective side at the moment who will get better not worse in the years ahead I'm sure.

Agree0 Disagree2

03 Oct 2015 12:34:44
I agree 62 LVG has worked on the " lets's be hard to beat and look ugly" bit and done very well.

Let's give them credit they are top so you can't be that crap if no one is above you.

If Arsenal are to reallt compete for the league then we need to be getting a absolute minimum of 3 points against our rivals, 4 points is better of course.

You could argue we are due a win against thme in the PL at home......but at the moment I'm never too sure of which Arsenal turn up......Kos being out is a huge blow to us of course

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 13:09:40
You're right mate they can't be that bad but you've got to admit the do an excellent impression of looking like they are, the shame of it all is how little confidence their is from us about this game.
I know some are really up for it and think we'll get the 3 points but most are unsure at best or fear another bad day at the Emirates.

At today's press conference Arsene looked like a man who could just as easily walk away as be bothered with it all any more, sad to see anyone that low.
His personal life obviously isn't easy at the moment and work isn't going too great either. Whether you still think he's the best man for Arsenal anymore or not its not nice to see.

That's just how he looks mate. He's probably just won the Euro Millions and has a Ferrari that's crammed full of prostitutes waiting outside.

Hope so Ubi mate also hope some of those millions are still around in January and if he wants to send the prostitutes out on loan I'd be happy to help them get some experience's

Well boys, I thought I'd give CTR some support and find out how you think Sunday will go.

As with our own page I see you are suffering form a significant dose of negativity right now. A shame to see my old mate Stoner getting so. Hacked off, we have some posters taking a break as well due to endless negativity.

Anyways, onto the game. I think it will be entertaining and I can't split us, I think 2-2 sounds about right. Chelsea have started dreadfully and City have now slipped up so who knows, this might prove a pivotal game. Looking forward to seeing Smalling against Walcott and Martial against Mertesacker and for the first time on a while, we might match you in the middle.

So, take your Gooner googles off and let's hear your unbiased predictions.

With no Kos its difficult to see us keeping aa clean sheet and Leicester apart who were amazingly open against us we haven't been exactly free scoring this season, I can't see things going well for us.
1 -2 unfortunately :-(
That might be self preservation by not letting myself get up just to get horribly knocked down again but its my prediction.

It's United, we don't beat you when you play well and have a good team and we don't beat you when you have an average team. At the moment you have an average team and an sideshow of a manager, but i still think we will crumble in the face of pressure and gift you a win. But whatever happens i don't see either team challenging. You are a work in progress and we are a work in regress.

We got a draw and a win at Trafford last season, and we missed a hatful at the Emirates. 2-1 Arsenal, Sanchez and Ozil to get off the mark.

It won't be easy our home record is shocking and our record against them is in the same catagory. Still a new day.

I've come up with a cunning compromise to unite our club once again and end the bitter fued of Arsene in Arsene out Arsene shake it all about once and for all, it will not only make all us fans happy it will tick all the boxes within the club board manger players sponsors everyone.
Ask your self this what if 4th really was the new 1st hear me out, how many teams have actually clinched the premier league title in April? Quite a few, but no team has ever in the history of the premier league clinched 4th spot in April many have secured top 4 by then but not 100% mathematically secured 4th place it's self, more often than not we go into the last game of the season where 4th is still all to play for between the 3rd 4th and 5th place teams so on these grounds I put it to you 4th is actually more difficult than 1st where all you have to do is win the most games thus getting more pionts than anyone else, now 4th is much more difficult because you have to lose draw and win exactly the right amount of games, win to few and you'll land on 5th but get too many and its a lottery where you end up it could be 3rd 2nd or even 1st.
And to win the league you have to spend well and get the best players you can possibly bring simples but 4th? You must not spend to much because you need a touch of brilliance but also just the right amount of under achievers to get the blend spot on but many or to few achievers and its anyone's guess what sort of crazy season you could end up having.
In view of this unarguable facts we have been under valuing our achievements for over a decade now without realising it, 4th really is the new 1st and its undeniable we really are by far the greatest team the world has ever seen.
We should embrace out 4thness with pride and have that open top bus and civic reception and once again enjoy being the envy of English football that we have been for so long without actually knowing it.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Oct 2015 17:27:18
Because its the 4th place and most difficult and most prestigious trophy to win you actually get to choose the trophy you want, it can look just like the champions league trophy but bigger and more shiny or indeed the world cup or even the strictly glitter basically as the new undisputed 4th place champions you can't be palmed off with any old rubbish that's been handed down from generation to generation like the pair of family underpants we all remember having, part of the supreme honour bestowed on the newly crowned 4thplaceians is they decide what they get not some bloke from the 18th century with a dandruff problem.

Dare I say I think Arsenal preform best when they get heavily criticized. The team has that desire to prove people wrong. It is when we get favorised that we preform badly and easily get complacent. In the past seasons when we got through bad periods we came back with a bang. So I believe that this defeat to Olympiakos might spark that comeback to good form. :)

I would agree with you but Europe seems to be the exception. We perform poorly in Europe most years and the fact that we didn't learn from the Brugge match this year is annoying. But I definitely think we will see a good run of form in the domestic league shortly - not that we are exactly doing poorly in the PL, which you would think from reading this site.

Agree0 Disagree1

02 Oct 2015 12:17:16
Our league position isn't terrible at all but to be fair that's as much down to city's slump and Chelsea's poor start as our own form.
In reality we do seem to be on repeat mode of either a good start or finish each season, we always have injuries upon injuries, we're always just a couple of players short in a couple of positions but we always somehow make the top 4 and find reasons why next season will be our year.
Its who we are and what we've been doing for the past 11 years without fail and some are happy to carry on this way for as long as it takes feeling one day it will come right all of a sudden while others yearn for a new approach and to try something different.
Its a bit like the family holiday by the sea we always go to the same place the same week and eat in the same cafe and make camp on the same bit of the beach on which to play the same who can build the best sandcastle competition, while some quite rightly point out lots of families never get a holiday at all and how lucky wexare others can't help but wonder if there's not life outside Bridlington during the last week of June each year :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Oct 2015 12:35:14
I think it's not a case of proving people wrong but more of a case of not been able to perform under pressure the run at the end of last season didn't prove anyone anything because the pressure was off. Need bigger bollocks .

G62 me old grapefruit if Bridlington is a place you go please don't go there again both there and Scarborough are swarming with paedos 😔

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Oct 2015 13:04:59
Agreed G62, we do always somehow manage to make top 4, only problem is because of our pretty crap record in the Champions league the top 4 trophy is more than likely going to be taken away.
I just yearn for the close season when Wenger says in early may "you know I realise now we need 3 or 4 players to really challenge for the top honours" and then by mid August he has them in the squad.
Hey I'm nothing if not a dreamer!

Arsenal perform best when the pressure is off and tactics aren't an issue. Put the heat up and give the game a bitvof importance and bang, wobbly legs.

02 Oct 2015 22:14:04
That's right Steve. Like away at City, everybody turns them over at the Etihad. They're all at it. And the small matter of an FA cup final. And beating Man U at Old Trafford. I mean these are basically just friendlies.

Ubi last season 1 win in six top 4 games and out to monaco in the last 16. We beat chelski this year in the charity cup and lose in the league, the record against maureen in the prem. 1 win in the last 12 against man utd, don't try and defend our record its dire.

Yes we did beat the citeh at the etihad, who at the time were shooting themselves in the foot, but after heading them in the league, we faltered.
