Fourth clean sheet in a row, Mustafi looks to have been an excellent signing.

Prefer Mertesacker.

Good in air, determined, no rash tackling, good reading of the game and throws himself in front of shots. If I am picking faults - his distribution could be a little better but he wasn't bought for that.
Love it that he tells our players off when underperforming

A real good signing by the club.

His distribution is still far superior to donkeysacker.

Good I the air, seems to work with kos, yet to be really tested so reserve any more judgement either way.

His biggest asset is that he's allowing Bellerin much more freedom to roam and express himself as an attacking player. I must admit I was hesitant when we first signed him and will have been the first to question if he could live up to his price tag. So far I've been pretty impressed.

Only criticism is the ridiculous theatrics - was funny when he demonstrated the grappling on the ref but when you think about it it's a bloody stupid risk to take with no real benefit to come of it.

So many penalties already this season? Decisions going our way? Are you thinking what i'm thinking your thinking :-)

If you are thinking what I'm thinking, than we must be thinking what each other is thinking.

Too much thinking going on, me thinks :-)

Bloody hell Harry Kane has let himself go.

It's the raver coming through in his Subaru, Ricky Hatton, oasis, les battersby your boys were chasing shadows against the meanest defence in the league. I've just left whl on my way to Walthamstow with a 4 inch Jamaican cigarette in my mouth and a full case of William and Ralph fosters on the back seat. It's mr Kipling day again as spurs are having an exceedingly good day.

How are we doing you a favour? As if you're going to be challenging for the title. Luck is doing you favours, whilst paving over the deep cracks.

02 Oct 2016 20:59:46
Ellis,
What deep cracks are you talking about?

02 Oct 2016 21:12:00
Ellis my little flower, try not to sound so bitter, we'll all start thinking you're actually NE.

I'm assuming Kolarov putting the ball in his own net wasn't down to luck. 😉.

Congratulations to Arsene on completing 20 years as Arsenal manager a fantastic achievement in itself not to mention some of the fantastic things he's achieved for our club wirhin those 20 years.
The super sexy football the seemingly endless trophies the fantastic players he brought within the first 10 years were all beyond anything we could of ever dreamed he would bring to our club when he first arrived when we were all asking who is this Arsene Wenger geeza?
Rather than debate yet again the if buts and whys of the last 10 years and concentrate on the things we don't all agree about there's one thing i think every Arsenal fan anywhere in the world would totally agree on 100%.
Back in 1996 if the Arsenal board had said to each and everyone one of us here's the deal, we've got a manager lined up who wants a 20 year contract and if you agree to us signing him he will bring you a style of football you've never dreamed of the Arsenal playing, he will bring in players who you never dreamed you'd see the likes of in an Arsenal shirt let alone so many of them in one team at one time and to top it all off he will deliver a team that goes the entire season unbeaten and will be known forever as the INVINCIBLES, BUT here's the kicker! After these amazing achievement's things will slow down dramatically and although we will never drop out of the top 4 and champions league we will not challenge for the title for the remainder of his 20 year contract.
So Arsenal fans this is 1996 and that's the deal no ifs buts or maybe"s, no but can't we just this that or the other if we hire this Arsene Wenger bloke this is what's going to happen 100%, its your chioce do you want us to get him yes or no?
I think if we were all transported back to 1996 we would all every single one of us have snatched the clubs hand off for such a deal and that's what we should all be concentrating on today as we celebrate the Arsene years in their entirety.

02 Oct 2016 11:13:54
Agreed and I would do it all over again now!

Let's not forget the two recent FA Cups

Nice post about a fantastic manager who has given us some super super memories.

Agree1 Disagree2

02 Oct 2016 12:26:39
First 10 were great

Second 10 dire

8 months and he's gone

Hallelujah.

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Maybe he should stay and the club should look for some decent supporters?}

02 Oct 2016 12:36:09
Just because I want change doesn't make me any less of a supporter than any one else on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats right malaga, even though i think your short sighted and completely wrong your entitled to your view mate.. :)

02 Oct 2016 12:38:56
So back in 96 you'd have refused the offer kof the invincibles the fantastic football we'd never seen before and all the great things that happened in the first 10 because of the second decade Malaga?
Memory plays tricks on us all mate but would you really gamble everything on not employing Arsene at all given the choice? Because that's what the post was about mate all or nothing, would you have given him the job in 96? No if buts would you?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Oct 2016 14:05:41
Arsene has been with us 20 years and wether he should or shouldn't have been is immaterial today imo, today not about the rights and wrongs of the last decade its a celebration of the 20 years service Arsene has given and the good things he brought that it's highly unlikely we'd have known her he not become our manager in 96.
Personally I would have said thanks for everything when his last contact ran out and parted company after the FA cup win against Hull, but we didn't.
Let's all enjoy todays celebration which will hopefully come with 3pts and then all draw a line under the past two decades be it the first decade of dream world football or the last decade of underachievement.
Which ever side of the argument your on its the present and future that matter now because the past good or bad will count for nothing next May or the May after that either.

Malaga
If he stays and you feel the need to move on, try Celtic or TNS in the welsh league, I think both them win every year,
Kooman would snap what Wenger has done in a minute.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Oct 2016 14:39:22
Malaga - you are entitled to your own opinion but to say the prior 10 have been dire is ridiculous. Even without all the foreign investment in our rivals, it's still ridiculous.
Last 10 years - top 4, second and two FA Cups.
On a positive note - your lopsided and spoilt opinion was so bad you got 02 to return and comment. Shows how your opinion is ranked.

I would sign up now for another 20!

Excited about the current squad and full faith in AW. He makes mistakes but what manager doesn't.

Enough has been written about the reasons for the last 10 years which STILL had success

COYG!

Arsene FC, it's not but he's our best option and he's a bloody good manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Oct 2016 15:03:18
SY I'm now totally convinced your Arsene out 100% and your tactics are to totally devalue the Arsene in campaign with your posts :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Oct 2016 16:22:23
Am I that obvious? Want a big performance today!

Well done Spurs - huge result for them and also shows the weaknesses in City side.

Looking forward to testing our team against Vitu and Spurs!

In the meantime - COYG!

Pre Arsene were the days of trying to avoid relegation or qualifying for the UEFA cup and Nayim on the half way line. We have had a pretty good time of it, even in the last ten years. Also consider we now have an awesome stadium, Ozil and Sanchez.

Stewart Houston. When George Graham got sacked, Chris Kiwomya saved us from getting relagated that year.
