I'm not a Wenger fan as you would know from my posts, but we really can't argue that the spine has definitely been improved in January and now, let's hope the new boys adapt quickly and we can maybe push on a bit this season.
But to be honest guys and girls it does still leave a sour taste in my mouth as if we'd done this last season we would almost definitely have won the league.

Arsenal must be the slowest club ever to confirm transfers. Friday night it looked like we were ready to confirm 2 signings. Tuesday afternoon and we are still waiting.

I don't know why I compare a lot of stuff to Chelsea but it's probably because they are our main rivals as Spurs are just pants. But I was thinking vault individual players and I think we have quite an equal starting 11 ability wise so we should be able to beat them for once.
Cech and courtois are both as good as each other on their best days
Azpiliucuita is better than Monreal
Koscienly is better than Terry
Cahill is better than holding
Bellerin is better than Ivanovic
Kante is better than xhaka
Fabregas is better than Cazorla
Ozil is better than Oscar
Willian is better than Walcott
Costa is better than giroud
And many people will probably disagree with me but hazard when he's at his best is better than Sánchez.

Loris and cech are both good as each other, alderwereld is better than meet, our full backs are better than yours, alli is better than Wilshire, eriksen is better than carzola and Kane is just a goal machine. So the fact is only ozil, Sanchez, kosileny and cech would get into spurs, not bad for a pants club lol.

Jack Wilshire to go out on loan.
I'm reading between the lines here. But I'm guessing that at his age going out on loan means "See you later mate ".
It's probably the kindest thing the club could do with him rather than not renewing his contract.
To be honest I think the club have been more that supportive of him. Whether he is injury prone or not. They have really! gave him a good shot on and off the pitch.
I wouldn't be getting upset over him leaving to be honest I only really remember him because of his consistent absence not for any legendary appearances and I'm afraid to say I believe that's he will be remembered by lots of Arsenal fans as the player that was always injured .
He hardly merits a bronze statue outside the ground.
How much is he worth on the transfer market? Probably nowhere near the amount we could have got for him when we should have seen the light 3 years ago.

Lanesra, I believe he has missed 2 complete seasons and normally manages about 11/ 12 games for other seasons.

the loan won't mean goodbye for Jack, he's young and english and Wenger likes him. He's £30 millions worth. Attitude is a bit of an issue so this will do him good.

I can understand people praising Kante, but I just can't understand why people are slagging Xhaka. I do feel Xhaka is a lot more consistent on a higher level and would suit our style of play than Kante who had just one good season with Leicester! Opinions!?

{Ed001's Note - no, Kante had one great season that you know of, he had played well for years prior to that, which brought attention from all over the world. If he had not been so short, he could have been an Arsenal player a couple of years ago. Xhaka, on the other hand, has never shown anything like the same level of performance at any time in his career, that Kante had last season. You just can't compare the two, Kante was the best central midfielder in Europe last season, Xhaka wasn't even in the running. They aren't even similar types of players really anyway, Kante is non-stop running and all action, Xhaka is more about being big and strong and trying to intimidate opponents by kicking anything that moves. So you may well be right, Xhaka might be a better fit for Arsenal, but Kante deserves all the praise he gets.}

Just out of interest do you know if any other clubs, not Arsenal, attempted to get Kante or was he set on Chelsea.

He was fantastic last year and with, I think, their respective release clauses, probably the two of the best performing mids in Europe, Mykitaryan and Kante would have been the easiest of transfers.

It makes me wonder why one club didn't go for both at a combined £60 odd million.

Sen I love them red colured specs, but xhaka has a massive mountain to climb to get near kante. You and me and millions of others can witness it over the next season. Not saying he can't just saying he hasnt. Thanks ed01 for your wise words.

As per Ed - he WANTED Chelsea so move on and he's a different player to Granit. Kante is awesome but I didn't want him as I didn't think he fitted into what we were missing - I believe Granit does but doesn't mean he's a better signing. Either way - sounds like he wanted Chelsea so strike that off your "I hate Wenger for the following reasons list" ;)

Xhaka looks to be an excellent signing. Don't forget it takes most players a season to bed into the PL. Holding looks an awesome aquisition and I am looking forward to seeing Mustafi and Perez. This is the type of window us fans like, as we want to see new blood in the squad. Hopefully, for all his faults, Wenger signs a new 3 year deal. I dread the future without him at the helm.

For every ear now we have been top 4 and realistically are title contenders. And though still hopeful with our new signings, we're not going to win the league! The Manchester clubs have bright in some top top players and look set for the title race. Whereas we should have revamped a bit more imo because we have good players in our team. But we need.
