We all hope for signings this window, but in reality I see one or two at most and more likely to see departures, such as Debuchy, Walcott, Sanchez, Ozil and some youngsters loaned out.
We missed out in the summer when we only signed two players, made a transfer profit and failed to sort out Ozil and Sanchez. In addition we now have contract problems emerging with Wilshere, Ramsey and Welbeck. This is all down to Wenger. He continually moans about the January window, the prices of players, etc, when this is the reality he has to deal with.

It would be a complete guessing game to work out who/ if we sign anybody in January window.

We have massive problems regards transfers. Not only do we have assets to sell, that nobody wants, we have our two biggest assets jumping ship, leaving us with the two biggest holes possible to fill. No champions league money to fall back on and not knowing whether we will be in next season, will impact greatly. We are, thanks to the manager, in big trouble. We are starting to tread water and slowly over the next few months, will have to tread water faster and faster. We are not in a position to pay big money out due to the rubbish we find ourselves in. The only thing that will determine what we have to spend these two windows, is what we manage to get in in transfer fees. There lies the problem. Please don't expect too much, you will be disappointed. Plus the fees are going up again, we don't like that either.

Just have to look at Liverpool and the players and money spent to tell you that we can as a club compete it's just that we don't want to it seems.

I don't know why but we are being linked to a lot of players around 30 years old. Luiz, benzema, nzonzi, turan etc. I just don't see it, paying big money to get a couple of years out of a player with no sell on fee. I don't see it at all. All teams need to get good money back on transfers or they die.

Just watched the City game with what looks like bad injuries to Gabriel Jesus and De Bruyne so Sanchez will be off asap.

I have enough of it now stoner. Great player but an absolute tit end. We have ourselves to blame and I can't see him getting as much game time at city. The question I always ask myself is have we improved since his arrival and the answer is we're worse now.

I’m with you on that Sanogo, really wished the Lemar in Sanchez out had gone through in the summer.

I think Lemar dodged a bullet.

Anyone else keen on the idea of trying Maitland-Niles in place of Bellerin for a while, because at the moment he is playing absolute S, well I'm lost for words. He looks lost. And can we please bring in a winger who wants to take people on, get round the back and put in some decent crosses.

No no no, but the winger idea I think we need twonthis window.

No why? Like him or not debauchery should be tried first. Niles is a midfielder, young and doesn't need messing around like other young defenders here. I said this summer bellerin has no strength or bravery, is not suited to the prem and we should have sold when we had the chance.

I'd like to see Debuchy play a few games. I thought he played well against Red Star in Europa. Plus a bit of competition for Bellerin might give him the kick to up his game to the level we all know he's capable of.

Yes, Bellerin is seriously overrated. He was converted from a winger into a full/ wing back, who can't defend. Maitland-Niles looks far better as a defender even though his favoured position is in midfield. Wenger did the same to Gibbs, who was an outstanding young midfield player, who can't defend.
Despite having two LB' s Wenger insisted on playing right-footed Maitland-Niles at LB and has used Monreal and Kolasinac as CB's.
It's a mess.

A back four of Maitland-Niles, Mustafi, Koscielny and Kolasinac is our strongest option or a back three of Holding, Mustafi and Koscielny.
Debuchy should have been moved on ages ago. Chambers is very average and should go, Mertesacker is retiring at the end of the season. Monreal is too slow as a LB and looked reasonable as a spare CB in a back three, but needs replacing. If a huge offer came in for Bellerin he is easily replaceable.
Thus, the defenders I would keep would be Maitland-Niles, Mustafi, Koscielny, Holding and Kolasinac. The others woudn't feature in any of the teams in contention for a top four spot, hence they should be replaced.
