Just a bit mate 😉.

30 Jan 2018 23:03:26
Wenger " we were short on confidence " how many more lame and excruciating excuses does he have to keep making. Look in the mirror for the answer wenger!

And a GK and Defenders and a DM.

Official, the worst team for the last 12 years.

30 Jan 2018 22:36:22
Cup final though Steve. can this Aubydoda play in goal?

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 22:47:02
We have the 10th worst goals against record in the league. West Brom have conceded 3 less. West Brom are also bottom.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 23:10:20
Nes i bloody hope so.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2018 04:52:19
Nah, i don't think so north east, he knows how to knock you lot outta the champions league though. Thatll do for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2018 08:00:04
I think you have your own problems to worry about.

Doesn't bode well for the Carbonara final those stat Dags.

I'm sure in a couple of games your boys will turn up at Wembley v us. away game or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 22:36:13
Yes they will turn up, they always do. After that its anyones guess.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 22:41:03
Very disrespectful of our cup final from you NES, considering your failure to actually win one for a few years. Mind i supposed you get hardened to not winning anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 23:19:57
NES,
We will turn up against you boys.

Will probably lose, but we will turn up 😉.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 21:53:08
Three away wins all season and not the first time losing to a team in the bottom three. Plus all you who said 4 at the back, it doesn't matter!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2018 22:09:03
Don't worry, Aubameyang will sort things out.

As long as he parks his 4 Ferraris and 3 Bentleys in front of our goal, we should be fine.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 22:22:15
Dags cech has made four errors that have led to goals this season, more than any other player. He shouldn't pull an arsenal shirt on again but then again neither should xhaka, elneny, mustaffi or bellerin but i think i will be disappointed on that one.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 23:21:40
Steve,
I have said, since the day we signed him, I don't rate him.

Great for Chelsea, bang average for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2018 04:12:26
Bang on Dags we got Cech on the cheap, he’s well past his best.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2018 04:41:44
We got cech 'cos he didn't wanna leave london and the spuds all ready had a keeper, hey ho, we'll just ship out syzsesny for 10 mil because of a cheeky snout in the showers. I tried this, its really hard.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 21:47:22
Why can't Wenger see what everyone else is seeing. We need one or two defensive midfielders. Are only half decent one was coq and we bloodybdold him. The mind boggles.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2018 22:05:02
Spanner the biggest problem is xhaka, closely followed by cech then mustaffi and bellerin. But wenger thinks all our defenders are that good the bundesleague defender of the year can't get a game, because?

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 22:11:54
You missed Elneny.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 22:15:54
Xhaka is terrible off the ball and never tracks runners, hopeless as a DM and all our defenders and keeper have a mistake in them every game. Ospina should be number one. I don't see what Wenger sees in Iowbi either.

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 22:42:10
Lincs, sorry, he got in another post though. Lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 21:44:26
Well they really know how to take the gloss off things. I suppose the reality is we can sign who we like but the truth is wenger has lost it all and we just have to hope too much damage won't be done until he is finally disposed of. All of a sudden i'm not bothered about this transfer window. I just want him gone and new life breathed into this club.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

30 Jan 2018 21:51:45

30 Jan 2018 22:00:27

Agree0 Disagree1

30 Jan 2018 22:26:35

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 22:40:16
wooooow cool your jets Steve. Abudingdong is signing tomorrow to fix your team.

I agree, your definitely one of the more consistent Goons. I'll give you that one 👍

im seriously over this season and wenger. I’m lost for words, I just don’t know what to say.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2018 21:45:45
Wenger out! that's all that can be said.

Agree2 Disagree1

30 Jan 2018 22:03:56
We have been saying this (Wenger out) for way too long and nothing is happening. He just can’t address the actual issue we have. Xhaka is a waste of space along we Iwobi.
And all the back four and Cech too.
So please Mr Wenger just leave and take them with you.
They are a disgrace to the club.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 22:16:22
I don't like knocking young kids but how the hell does iwobi keep starting let alone in the squad. What does he do!

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 22:21:04
New contract in the offing Mr W.?

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 22:53:59
Steve, Iwobi has nothing to offer. Young or not if not up to it shouldn’t be picked. I have absolutely no idea what wenger sees in him. But I’m not shocked if he leaves Kola out and plays monreal instead and keep playing Xhaka. Clueless dinosaur.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 21:39:09
Thought Ozil's assist was good until Cech stepped up. Put it on a plate like a pro. If that was Bruce, there would be a betting investigation immediately.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2018 21:36:33
It's really difficult to stay an arsenal fan these days.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed0333's Note - why?

31 Jan 2018 12:29:08
Nottinghan, Bournemouth, Swansea. We are not able to control and win the easy games. We are on a good flow of winning thougher games. So why do we f. up?

I'm positiv on the Aube and Miki signings. But we really need to sign a DM and a goalie and maybe a quality CB, while we wait for the youngsters to blossom. Ulike many others I think the Sanchez-Miki swap was great! 3,5 year of Miki for 4 month of sanchez, sounds like a great deal. And with Auba on top this could be really fun.

Hopefully we can lift the spirit for the europa league and win it. However I'm not sure how arsenal players will handle -12--18*C (0-12*F) in Östersund (forecast for next week) .

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 21:33:29
Just can't come to terms that there is one more year of Wenger to go.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2018 21:17:56
Forget Aubameyang we need to sign a Cech replacement.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2018 21:28:13
I've been saying that since the day he joined us.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 21:32:55
Past it before he left chelsea. defensively shocking all 3 goals.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 21:41:17
Ospina should be number one for sure.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 20:39:58
Forget the new signings offensively.

Tactically inept first half and defensively a shambles.

Still require a new manager with modern ideas nomatter which players we sign.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2018 21:07:05
New keeper would help.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 21:16:05
No clean sheet in 7 league games and only 1 in last 10 all comps. Shockingly bad.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 21:31:45
Don't let any signings cloud the issue. Shocking most of the season. Wenger needs to go at the end of this one, no more chances.

New manager and coaching staff asap.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 16:32:24
Ed's with P-E-A medical set for tomorrow does that mean that everything is sorted? Would Dortmund still sanction the sale should they not find a replacement? This deal is literally ready to be signed and sealed but from reports it seems it hinges on a lot of factors. It would be typical of arsenal to have this deal fall through after the player has agreed personal terms and even had a medical lol.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - The signing of the contracts and the registration of the player mean it is akk "sorted".}

30 Jan 2018 18:00:06
Thanks Ed. Do you see this deal still happening even if Dortmund don’t find a replacement? This deal literally feels like a tower made of playing cards, like what others have said I really hope Giroud doesn’t go. He may not be a world beater but he’s scored some extremely important goals for us in the past (hattrick against olympiakos to name one of them) so to see him go would be a bigger loss then seeing welbeck leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am sure it will all be just fine.}

30 Jan 2018 13:32:28
I have a sneaky feeling that another deal is on the cards. Perhaps its just wishful thinking.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

30 Jan 2018 14:47:04
Would love a defensive midfielder, center half or a keeper to join, and if they're half decent it will have been a successful window.

We have had a gut full of half decent akie! We need top quality.

So I was camping outside Waitrose - no particular reason; I was just there.

Anyway, who should I bump into other than? If you guessed Mr. Wenger you'd be wrong! So yeah, it was Aubameyang.

I said, "Hey pal, what's up? What you doing here? "

He told me he was over to see his new boss. I said, "You mean Le professeur? "

He looked at me with a very confused expression and said, "Eh no! I mean Mr. Arsene Wenger".

Whatever! I had more important things to do with my time than educate him so I just turned away and continued doing what I was doing before he showed up

Chasing an empty Quavers crisp packet around the carpark.

This post has been made in memory of a fallen Gunner comrade.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 16:30:00
Now it would be unfair to throw names out there in case I’m wrong but if you look at posters who appeared after his untimely demise, look at how said individual does not grasp basic conversations, how he gets the hump and he also seeks validation like lanesra! I’ve suspected it a while but the past few days has left me almost certain . We have to assume
1. Lanesra is not dead
2. He was a regular poster who obviously enjoyed the site .
3. He has almost certainly reinvented himself as a new poster.
4. The new poster appears to take exception at the past enemy’s of his previous life for no apparent reason.

I could be wrong about who I think it is but one thing I’m sure about is that he is actively on this site as a new poster.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 12:00:15
I'm bored of hearing what a difficult window the January one is. Will the summer one be any better in a World Cup year when all the best players will be away for most of the summer and their agents will advise them to hold fire until after the tournament, as a strong showing will increase their desirability and wages.
Last night on The Debate, the guy in the suit Christian, made a sensible comment, that the two Manchester clubs are spending £100m net, whilst Chelsea and Liverpool are spending less net and Arsenal the toot are breaking even. Interesteingly the net spend is showing in the league positions. Last window we showed a profit and this window we have sold Coq and Walcott for £32m and signed the Greek youngster for £2m. Sanchez was swopped for Mkhitaryan and if we sign Aubameyang for £55m and sell Giroud for £25m, we will have a net outlay of zero. Perhaps this is the model for us, particularly when we are not in the CL and have less income.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2018 12:36:13
If so, what a joke club we our. We make more then enough to spend 100 million on transfers per season. Greedy board.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 12:51:53
Spanner, I wouldn't blame the board entirely, as Wenger likes the club to be run as a profit making business. We should make a net spend of say £50m, in order to improve.

Agree3 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 13:28:49
Don't forget £35m for The Ox.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 15:14:50
Funny how you forget people so quickly Dags.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 11:44:06
I was just watching Wenger on Sky and he stated that Mkhitaryan can change to a box to box player. Why on earth can't play to his strengths in a position that he has played all his career!
Perhaps tonight a 3-4-2-1, with Mkhitaryan and Ozil, behind Lacazette. A strong four of Bellerin, Xhaka, Wilshere and Monreal or Kolasinac.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2018 11:48:17
Just because he can doesn't mean he is going to have to.

Best not have another arteta on our hands.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 13:30:36
D16 - Absolutely! What changed Wenger from playing tall, athletic proper DM's, such as Vieira, Gilberto and Petit, to playing smaller more technical, attacking, midfield players, is beyond me.
It's interesting that many of the small, technical attacking players have suffered from many injuries when moved to DM; Cazorla, Wilshere, Arteta, etc.

Hi eds, first time poster here. I think we've all heard about the aubameyang, giroud, batshuayi triangle going on, but I've also seen a lot of sites talking about a possible swap deal between arsenal and Chelsea for giroud and David luiz, is this a possibility? And what do the other people on here think of this? Would you want David luiz?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware Luiz is still out of favour with Conte so it would be possible to get a deal done, however I don't know of any actual deal being worked on.}

30 Jan 2018 10:33:10
On his day Luiz is good, but he is a liability more often than not and with xhaka in the team it wouldn’t surprise me to be playing with 9 men.

Agree0 Disagree2

30 Jan 2018 11:09:09
I would love luiz, play him cdm.

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 11:45:38
I rather Luiz as DM than Xhaka tbh. Luiz can be liability as a CB but as Dm he is decent.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 11:52:08
I would love Julia to come to Arsenal, predominantly as a DM, then bring Nzonzi in.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 12:21:52
OK RG, firstly, I don't think you can bring a Julia into the Arsenal first team. Secondly, have you taken any time to calculate the wages of this Julia person? Can we have a breakdown?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - if it is Roberts there is no way you could afford her match fees!}

Ed, any ideas on who the next arsenal deal will be for in this window after Auba? Names or position would be great.

Thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2018 09:52:33
The reason arsenal have dragged their heals over the auba deal is if/ when it gets done on deadline day all us arsenal fans will be happy. If they did the deal a week ago we would be fuming if we never got someone else after 😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 06:37:17
Typical of Arsenal to go down to the wire to make a signing. To think that we are dependent upon Dortmund finding a replacement before they allow Aubameyang to move. This move could define our season, with Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan replacing Sanchez and giving the team and the supporters a lift. The move may also depend upon Giroud going to rivals for top four spot Chelsea. If this has to be the case then at least include David Luiz in the deal. Most sensible Arsenal fans would prefer Luiz to Evans and he could play as a DM as well as at CB.
Fingers crossed that the Aubameyang deal goes through and that we purchase one more player, a CB or a DM, which I very much doubt will happen.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2018 15:02:07
Thinking about how Chelsea didn’t sell us Demba Ba when we needed him why should we sell Giroud to help them. I would definitely take Luiz in a swap but I think it’s far too late to get that deal over the line.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2018 05:45:08
Chelsea fan in peace we are not sure about what we are getting with this Giroud deal. Can you guys give brief assessment of him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2018 06:40:40
Excellent player, great in the air and a reliable goal scorer. The main problem is that he is absolutely paceless. I would be sad to see him go as he has become a different option from the bench and is Arsenal to the core. Can we have David Luiz in exchange!

30 Jan 2018 08:19:29
He’s as good if not better than Morata.

happy to see him go. goof back up option but not needed here now. i'd happily switch him for luiz and i'm not luiz biggest fan. but he plugs a hole I guess.

30 Jan 2018 09:15:13
as an arsenal fan i am gutted giroud is leaving, might be an unpopular opinion but in his style of play there are not many better than him, Plays with passion, scores vital goals and is the most beautiful man in football. what more could you want!

Question for everyone including ed's
I'm going to have to plead ignorance or just a complete lack of knowledge when asking this but, does anyone think that Henrikh Mkhitaryan can play the role Santi Cazorla played, and if so how well?
We never made a contingency after that first season when we were playing so well until Santi and the Coq got injured, then our form took a massive dip, and the season after that again we were playing some really good football again until Santi got his injury, I don't think we've been the same since.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - doubt it, he doesn't have the workrate Cazorla had.}

30 Jan 2018 06:41:34
I have a suspicion that he is Ozil's replacement, not Santi's.
