Carlsberg don't do injuries.

But, if they did.

They would be drink related. Black eyes, cut lips and general falling over injuries.

If there was an injured 11 league we'd absolutely limp it every season.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your not the only team to get injuries you know mate..

01 Dec 2015 11:50:01
Very true Ed but we do seem to get more long term injuries to the same players every season than other clubs.
I can't think of many teams where you can guarantee certain players will be out for aa minimum of 2 months per season without fail, Wilshere Rosicky Ox Walcott off the top of my head I can't remember playing a dozen consecutive games without aa long lay off.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i hear the same thing on a regular basis from most clubs supporters G62, maybe its the pressure on players due to the squad not being good enough and not having the quality to rotate players as much as they would like?..

01 Dec 2015 12:31:16
Very true Ed mate we all know Arsenal went into this season as with most others very short on quality cover, Ramsey shouldn't have player against Watford and Sanchez obviously shouldn't have played against Norwich but both did because of lack of quality cover for them.
Having said that Chelsea did win the league last season using the least amount of players plus with cup and CL games played more games than others so I'm not sure what the answer is if honest, modern day players do seem to be out more often and for much longer than 10 years ago, or is that my age again :- ( where the grass was greener and summers were warmer and you could eat a sandwich without feeling guilty about not checking its nutrient value first.

{Ed025's Note - it age mate.. :)

Come on guys let's get behind the team and Wenger we have to stay positive we are only 2 points off the top yes we have injuries but so does every team we can still challenge for the title we have players coming back from injuries plus I firmly believe Wenger will add to our team come January also all those saying Wenger should go or should have already left be careful for what u wish for Wenger has been a fantastic manager for us most teams in the world would have loved to have a man so loyal to one club running things yes we have been a bit stagnant over the past decade due to financial issues with the new stadium and now that has been paid we are slowly getting the world class players we crave my gut feeling over the lack of movement of world class player during the summer could be down to the board as they know Wenger is stepping down in 18 months and will not sanction very expensive signings in case the next manager doesn't see them in their plans and have to sell and possibly make a loss on selling them just my thoughts keep the faith.

Im hoping Mrs Dags does me a favour :-)

30 Nov 2015 21:16:17
You need a new aftershave mate and maybe a nice bottle of perfume for Mrs D to show her how much you care just so happens I'm doing some cracking ones at £5 a go in the run up to Christmas mate.
Oh and don't forget the baby Dags too, nothing says I love you more than a nice £5 bottle of smelly that looks smells and lasts like a £50 fragrance.

30 Nov 2015 21:28:37
G62,
I have a natural aroma, eau de Dags.

Irresistible to women, but kills any hedgehog within a 3 mile radius :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Nov 2015 21:58:34
Fuuny enough my natural odour has completely the opposite effect Dags which used to bother me but then I realised very few hedgehogs are that fussed about shoes, handbags and spending hours telling you about their day and after only 9 or 10 pints they ain't that ugly either and I've been with more than one 15 to 20 pint she-man in my time.

I bought some aftershave using my credit card last week. Since than, there's been some dodgy transactions on it.
Think my cards been cologned.

How pathetic was giroud against norwich? No movement no desire absolutely pathetic Gabriel was at fault for goal carzola gave the ball away few times nothing clicked in the second half. I think when carzola is back he needs to play further up the pitch he's more effective Ramsey should play holding oh did I mention Campbell how useless he was.

You forgot how expensive the meat pies were mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Dec 2015 00:56:56
Absolutely agree with all of the above. Giroud is great in the air yet when he plays I feel like the crosses are few and far between. He was absolutely non existent Sunday.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Dec 2015 09:47:49
Giroud is quite poor in the air tbh he's heading is not clinical.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - nothing he does is clinical imired..thats the problem mate..

30 Nov 2015 10:56:42
We need a very good transfer window, winger, dm and a forward all world class. we have the money! And we need Arsene to buy as soon as it opens not the last 3 days or our title hopes are done. we won't have a better chance than this year of winning it.

30 Nov 2015 12:28:36
Wash rinse repeat, we have been down this road before and we all know the outcome come may. 4th place trophy and lots to look forward too, because walcott is flying ox is playing well coq is showing promise caz is the best midfielder in the prem sancez and ozil are worldys with young bellarin and rene adelaide coming through. If we get two world class signings we can challenge. Sell the dead wood and we can chalenge all the top trophies. Do we, do we fiddle sticks.

30 Nov 2015 15:57:39
Will Arsene buy in January at all?
Need doesn't seem to come into it with Arsene.
It would be a very brave man who would truely bet his house on bringing in new playerrs this January, I'm not saying we won't but equally no one can say with any degree of certainty we will either no matter how obviously we should.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ozil completed 67 of his 68 passes, what a guy. He really is producing class performances week in, week out now. Let's hope he keeps it up because we are going to need him. On the downside (other than injuries) is that we seem to be fading in games. We looked shattered against Spurs. And again yesterday, we bossed the 1st half, but in the second we lost all our energy and couldn't press anymore when they had the ball. Consequently it turned into a basketball game. Oh, and so that I don't stand out like a saw thumb on here, Wenger out! Etc.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Nov 2015 11:22:14
Couldn't agree more Ubi the guy is immense.

I've actually carried out a little experiment over the last 10 days or so just to see which of two particular options was the most pleasurable.

Option 1 was to read this page daily.

Option 2 was to watch 3 matches with the volume turned up really loud with either Michael Owen or Owen Hargreaves as co commentators.

I can't believe how wrong I was about those two guys, for me now, they are the best out there, make Gary Neville look a complete fool, they're so knowledgable about the game and not in anyway irritating.

Who would of expected that. ;-)

Oh and Wenger out with Derby coming in as an immediate replacement, what that guy doesn't know about football could be written on the land mass of Jupiter. ;-)

30 Nov 2015 12:59:56
dags he ain't bringing you the title mate as much as you want to see it. i'm sorry ain't happening.

but of course we go with what we have as there were no players available this summer.

you can't defend him anymore my friend

and jupiter doesn't interest me i prefer uranus.

You banged your head ubi or woken up?

30 Nov 2015 09:13:58
When we moved to the Emirates we all knew signings would be restricted short term to allow us to compete long term, we saw players leave for lots of money but had young players coming through so all was good.
Year after year we always seemed just 1 or 2 players short but our young players potential kept us going and full of optimism, them those younger players grew up and left and were replaced by another group of young players with potential and so it went on but the stadium needed paying for so all towed the line and even though frustrated stayed loyal to the best manager in our clubs history.
Around 2010/11 the club kept saying Arsene had money available if he wanted it but still we didn't buy players who would have made success much more likely, at the time we were told by the media Arsene was the fall guy because although the board had said there was money it wasn't true and his hands were still tied financially behind the scenes.
2013/14 we are flying high top of the league at the half way stage but we only have one striker an over worked knacked Olly Giroud but its January so we can buy a striker but Arsene didn't want to so we carried on as we were and fell to bits as our no striker or DM strategy came apart in humiliating style at Liverpool then Chelsea and we struggled to finish 4th.
Summer 14/15 the club tell everyone no more spending restrictions we can buy anyone we want but still we go into the season with 2 CBs one of which is injured and no DM after years of being exposed through our soft middle time and again.
At this point many of which I'm one became Arsene out simply because he had lost touch with the modern game and seemed more interested in financial achievements than football ones.
Although I very much want this to be Arsenes last season in charge of Arsenal football club I desperately hope things can end on a good note between fans and manager dispite probably both feeling let down to some degree by the other along the way.
I hope Arsene announces soon that this will be his final season with us and each and every one of us can get behind him 100% and no matter where we finish up in the table we can all show out appreciation of what Arsene achieved in the first years with us all the trophies sexy sexy football and super start players and all.

Wenger has left short and that mistake might just cost us the title, along with many other instances where he has been either naive or arrogant. But that does not warrant the disrespect that this man is being shown, Wenger unfortunately raised the bar high for himself and Arsenal, and unfortunately his detractors ard using his previous success 2 beat him down, It is sad really

We are not out of it yet, please just keep a little faith let's all judge in May, as the realists usually say whe we are winning. COYG.

id love to see wenger leave with the title. it just ain't happening mate.

finish 3rd and don't improve the out field squad and expect to win the league. it doesn't add up.

30 Nov 2015 09:29:30
Which of wouldn't love Arsene to walk away with a title but your right Derby it just won't happen if he carried another 20 years.
Season after season he refuses to see holes that everyone but him see's because the line between manager and friend has become blurred with too many players like Artetta and Rosicky, Mertersaacker and Gibbs, Giroud and Theo.
He doesn't have that winners mean streak to do what's right for the team above what's comfortable and loyal, in an ideal world hiw way would be right but its not.

30 Nov 2015 10:34:16
stones 50 million.13 yrs we will get out of him. going to be the no.1 centre half in england. new rio . r brady quality left back/midfield. corners and passing going forward and good at doing the dirty work. challenge monreal, gibbs not up to it and injury prone 16m. bender to help and challenge le coq or play alongside him against the top sides, international and champion lge experince.26yrs. over 6ft. tough in the tackle. say 20 m. then giroud replacement santa surpise. higuin natural finisher, half a chance . bang back of the net. will offer more movement than giroud and he doesn't run like there a parachute stuck to his back.58 m will seal the deal. i would believe all this, only when i was 10 i found all my xmas presents under the parents bed a month before xmas.

I think we need two central midfielders rather than one, both of whom could play a slightly more physical game, albeit with the ususal expected Arsenal quality. In that respect would probably say Bender and Carvahlo. Icing on the cake would be a Griezman or Reus. I know we need a CF, but i don't think there is much out there at the moment. I was a fan of Benzema, but the more you hear of him in the press i think a large "do not touch sign" is hanging around his neck.
