Its gudjohnsen, played for Bolton got relegated. played for Chelsea didn't think he won the league for them while he was there. I think he won the champions league for Barcelona and i know he has a lot of caps for Iceland.

Hi eds. There's been a lack of action from any club so far, although I'd imagine there's a lot going on behind the since. Do you think this is because of the euros and copa America? Also is there any players you feel confident are joining arsenal?

The window isn't even open yet! Transfer deals are huge financial transactions that take time to agree and conclude, with players away on international duty and holiday, it isn't easy to tie up any deals.

Arsene interestingly stated that he is looking to sign 3 players during the window, of which we have signed 1 player to date.
However, it appears that Ospina and Szczesny will not be at the club next season. We need cover at RB, as Jenkinson has a long term injury and Chambers hasn't cut it at RB and has been moved to CB. There are rumours that Chambers will go on loan and we are looking at purchasing a CB. There are rumours that Gibbs wants out and we all know that we need a striker, particularly as Welbeck is out for most of next season.
With 2 additional 'Wenger' signings to go, this makes little sense.
We appear to possibly need:
1) A keeper
2) Cover at RB
3) A CB
4) A LB
5) A striker

I can only guess that Wenger means two more signings, a striker and a RB. He would only make additional signings if Chambers, Gibbs and Ospina move. I have ruled out Szczesny, as I don't believe we will see in Arsenal colours again.

D16 - yes, I agree that a CB is a priority and a striker as Welbeck is injured. However, unless the media reports are complete nonsense, we need replacements in goal, RB and LB.

RG - agree. Makes sense too. I think AW's priorities in order are CFWD, if not keeping Theo/ The Ox a RW/ RFWD, CB.

We have squad depth of varying quality, so he would surely then only replace departures or buy too-good-to-passup players, but I think Gibbs if he doesn't get more chances and Jenks/ Debuchy defo possible from their point of view, szczesny as has been inconsistent and now vocally a little critical too. Ospina, could understand from his point of view, but can't tell if its media making him sound unhappy. Chambers is playing alongside bielik so would rather he stayed and got the odd 1st team appearance whilst building that relationship personally, if AW sees them as the future.

Thing with us. Don't get me wrong we do need a forward no doubt. But I'm normally confident going into a game that we can score. Against anyone. However keeping a clean sheet? That defence needs sorting. You can tell Arsene knows that as he openly questioned our defence towards the end of the season. Against West Ham I think.
